The Short Version

Tyler Tamboline and Nades review Week 8 through Rio’s winning Milly Maker lineup and M Noob’s five-entry portfolio. The Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase + Tee Higgins stack showed why individual ownership does not tell the whole story: only about 2.5% of the field played all three together. Rio’s double-tight-end construction avoided the common three-running-back build, allowing stronger receivers and more expensive defenses without requiring obscure plays.

Harold Fannin Jr. provided leverage against Pittsburgh’s popular defense and nearby Hunter Henry ownership, while Gunnar Helm supplied inexpensive exposure against Cincinnati. Michael Wilson captured Arizona receiving upside in builds saving money instead of paying for Trey McBride. The broader lesson was to adjust optimizer inputs deliberately, examine how positions interact, and study successful players entering comparable field sizes. Showdown reviews also emphasized duplication and how small construction changes affect payout splits.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
Steelers DST CHALK Pittsburgh was the popular expensive defense entering the slate, making an opposing Harold Fannin Jr. lineup a way to attack that ownership. 11:05
LEVERAGE He cost $100 less than Hunter Henry while opposing Pittsburgh’s popular defense, creating leverage through both the tight end position and the defensive matchup. 11:23
CHALK He drew roughly 21% to 22% ownership and was the popular tight end just $100 above Harold Fannin Jr. 11:23
Broncos DST CHALK Denver attracted ownership as a cheaper defense while much of the field sought savings at the position. 11:23
Chargers DST CHALK The defense gained ownership from lineups needing a few hundred dollars of additional savings. 11:23
Jaguars DST PAY UP Paying up differentiated builds from cheap defenses, with a Bhayshul Tuten pairing expressing a Jacksonville-controlled game against Indianapolis. 11:49
He was widely used against a weak rushing defense, and the review discussed pairing him with Jacksonville’s defense to capture a dominant game script. 11:49
LEVERAGE He offered an alternative Tennessee bring-back, with Pollard and Tee Higgins discussed as a different combination from Chase Brown and a cheap Tennessee receiver. 14:13
VALUE He was endorsed as good chalk that could fill out Cincinnati stacks, with an unusually strong projection for a value running back. 14:13
CHALK He was one of the popular running backs contributing to the common three-running-back construction. 19:30
CHALK He was heavily mixed into the popular lower-midrange running back builds. 19:30
VALUE His low salary and matchup against Cincinnati helped make double-tight-end builds affordable while avoiding the common cheap receiver construction. 20:01
CHALK He was a popular cheap Tennessee receiver used to accommodate expensive receivers and the attractive running back values. 20:30
Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase + Tee Higgins + Gunnar Helm BRING-BACK Helm supplied an inexpensive opposing tight end instead of the more common Tennessee receiver bring-backs, preserving salary for stronger pieces elsewhere. 25:26
Kirk Cousins + Brock Bowers IN PLAY Bowers was preferred alongside Cousins because a two-touchdown receiving performance could bring the quarterback along. 26:56
Michael Wilson LEVERAGE He supplied Arizona receiving upside in builds using cheaper tight ends instead of Trey McBride, benefiting if the ceiling moved away from the popular tight end. 27:33
Rams DST The review highlighted ten points at $3,500 and approximately 4% ownership as another example of the field overlooking expensive defenses. 27:52
CHALK At $6,500 he was one of the slate’s more popular receivers in the same general price range as Michael Wilson. 31:00
Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase + Tee Higgins TOP STACK Cincinnati had the top stack ranking, and only about 2.5% of the field combined all three despite their individually substantial ownership. 32:11
Patriots DST PAY UP The more expensive defense offered a stronger matchup against Malik Washington than relying on Denver against Patrick Mahomes and his offensive weapons. 37:37
Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase + Tee Higgins + Wan'Dale Robinson + Gunnar Helm BRING-BACK The $6,700 Robinson and Helm combination concentrated the lineup around one game environment, a construction particularly endorsed for smaller fields. 44:46
LEVERAGE At $6,600 he was an overlooked pivot from popular midrange backs, with the previous week’s performance against the same opponent supporting the matchup. 45:54
CHALK He was one of the chalky midrange running backs attracting attention around Jaylen Warren’s salary range. 46:41

DFS Terms Used on This Show

GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Read the full definition of GPP▶ Said at 0:04 Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Read the full definition of Showdown▶ Said at 0:54 SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate▶ Said at 2:55 ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Read the full definition of Projections▶ Said at 3:49 OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership▶ Said at 5:33 Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. After games, it uses actual scores; before games, a projected optimal uses estimated scores and any lineup restrictions you set. When reviewing an optimal, replace its most surprising scorer with a realistic pregame alternative. Check whether the remaining construction still offered a credible path to winning your contest.Read the full definition of Optimal Lineup▶ Said at 8:42 ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Read the full definition of Chalk▶ Said at 9:47 Flex and UTILA standard NFL FLEX accepts a running back, wide receiver or tight end. In DraftKings NFL Showdown, FLEX instead means a regular-scoring slot alongside Captain, with broader eligibility that includes quarterbacks. Before lock, identify affordable replacements for your latest starter. An open FLEX or UTIL slot helps only if suitable unlocked players remain within your budget.Read the full definition of Flex and UTIL▶ Said at 10:20 Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up▶ Said at 11:49 Game StackIn the NFL, a game stack usually combines a quarterback, one or two of his pass catchers and one or more players from the opposing offense.Target games where the spread is close as well as the total high. A high total with a lopsided spread can turn into a blowout where only one side keeps scoring.Read the full definition of Game Stack▶ Said at 13:53 LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Read the full definition of Leverage▶ Said at 14:13 OptimizerAn optimizer is software that builds DFS lineups within a site's salary cap and roster rules. It uses projected fantasy points, your settings and, in some tools, simulations to select combinations for a chosen goal.Build a small test batch first. Check which players and combinations repeat, and investigate why before increasing the lineup count or changing settings.Read the full definition of Optimizer▶ Said at 15:34 Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Read the full definition of Game Script▶ Said at 16:31 Fantasy PointsFantasy points are the score a DFS contest assigns to a player or team defense by converting real sports statistics and results through its scoring rules. Your lineup's total determines your contest ranking. Before trusting an average, check which games it includes and whether the player's role has changed. Separate repeatable opportunities from a few unusually productive games.Read the full definition of Fantasy Points▶ Said at 18:46 Player PoolA player pool is the set of players you consider using in your DFS lineups for a slate, the games or events included in a contest. The term can also mean everyone available to select in that contest.Keep a replacement beside each uncertain player, noting the salary and position you need. Recheck those alternatives when news changes so your shortlist still produces usable lineups.Read the full definition of Player Pool▶ Said at 19:22 ValueValue is the fantasy production you expect from a player relative to his salary. A value play offers more production or upside than his price suggests, whether he is cheap or expensive.Identify why the salary looks wrong: workload, matchup, scoring ability or a pricing error. Then check whether that reason still holds when you submit your lineup.Read the full definition of Value▶ Said at 20:30 Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. It includes where you spend or save, which positions you prioritize, and how your players fit together.Build two versions around your biggest spending decision, then compare every player who changes. Revisit the comparison when injury news changes the available value.Read the full definition of Roster Construction▶ Said at 21:54 One-OffIn NFL DFS, a one-off is a player you select outside your stacks, commonly a running back or a receiver without his quarterback. An opposing receiver intentionally paired with your stack instead serves as a bring-back.Before adding a one-off, compare him with an affordable teammate of your existing stack. Decide whether his individual upside is worth passing up that extra scoring connection.Read the full definition of One-Off▶ Said at 25:48 UnderweightYou are underweight in DFS when a player, team stack or lineup combination appears in a smaller percentage of your entries than in the contest field's entries.Compare the same contest, format and roster slot. Use projected ownership before lock, then check actual ownership afterward to see whether your intended underweight stance held.Read the full definition of Underweight▶ Said at 28:21 CorrelationCorrelation describes how two players' fantasy scores move together. Positively correlated players tend to have big games at the same time, usually because one player's success directly adds points for the other. When you build a tournament lineup, ask which of your players need the same thing to happen. The more of them that do, the higher your lineup's ceiling.Read the full definition of Correlation▶ Said at 33:59 Defense/Special Teams (DST)Defense/Special Teams (DST) is a roster selection representing one NFL team's combined defense and special teams, rather than an individual player. It earns fantasy points through sacks, takeaways, defensive and return touchdowns, and other plays, with adjustments for points allowed.Compare what a DST upgrade costs elsewhere in your lineup. If paying more forces you off an important offensive role, check whether a cheaper defense offers a credible path through sacks and turnovers.Read the full definition of Defense/Special Teams▶ Said at 35:24 Bankroll ManagementBankroll management is how you size your DFS spending relative to the money you have set aside to play, called your bankroll, so normal losing streaks do not wipe you out.Write down your per-slate limit before the season starts. Spending rules are much easier to keep when you set them before a losing streak, not during one.Read the full definition of Bankroll Management▶ Said at 43:29 The FieldThe field is everyone else entered in a contest, the group of lineups you are competing against. Before you build, picture the typical lineup in your contest. Then decide on purpose where you'll match it and where you'll step away from it.Read the full definition of The Field▶ Said at 45:27 PivotA pivot in DFS is an alternative player or lineup combination you choose instead of another option. Tournament pivots usually seek comparable scoring upside at lower ownership, meaning fewer competing lineups use them. Before swapping, check what the replacement changes around it: your remaining salary, teammates, opposing players and available later-starting options.Read the full definition of Pivot▶ Said at 46:41 Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Read the full definition of Single-Entry▶ Said at 47:59 150-MaxA 150-max DFS contest allows you to submit up to 150 entries into that contest, paying the entry fee for each. Max entering means using every allowed entry, whether the contest limit is 150 or a smaller number.Multiply the entry fee by your planned entry count before building. If you cannot justify additional lineups on their own merits, leave the remaining entries unused.Read the full definition of 150-Max▶ Said at 50:11 Duplicate LineupsDuplicate lineups are entries in the same DFS contest with identical player selections and scoring assignments, including any multiplier positions. In standard cash-prize tournaments, these entries tie and share the combined prizes for the places they occupy.Use the actual prize table to calculate your payout in a first-place tie with two, five or ten entries. Compare those outcomes before choosing between similarly strong builds.Read the full definition of Duplicate Lineups▶ Said at 56:49

All systems go. Clear for lift off. What's up, everyone? Tyler Tamboline here, a.k.a. ToeTagginTambo, back for another edition of the Takedown Breakdown here on the Ship It Nation YouTube station, recapping an amazing week eight. And we are going to be talking about it. The goat is in the chat right now, Mr. Hebrew Cheetah. Shout out to Rio, our guy. Got it done yesterday in the twenty dollar Milly Maker.

0:54

So that makes it an extra special episode where we get to go and get after it. I didn't think you'd be up this early. I was going to text him and see. Maybe we can get him on the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Read the full definition of Showdown show today. They'll get him to come out with hoop title and myself just for a little briefing. We'll see. Could be still celebrating up from last night. But congrats to Rio Hebrew Cheetah getting it done.

1:12

I was thinking about my one liners today, Nades, and there's three different H's in Hebrew Cheetah in the username and the first one. I would say it's hardworking. Been working his ass off, grinding for years. I've been lucky enough to hang out with him at live finals, him bring me along, go to different events, sweat it, text, back and forth, all this stuff. Just great Person overall from that perspective. The second H would be for helpful.

1:33

There's nobody, and everybody over the nation knows how helpful this guy is. It's insanity the amount that he's in the Discord talking to people, guiding them, helping them through lineup decisions, NBA well-doing, all of his own stuff. So you can't ask for a better Person when it comes to that. And then the last H is for humble. One of the most humble, authentic, genuine people that I've ever been around. Just love it. I've met his family, his dad, his brother, a bunch of people.

1:56

With them at these events and stuff. Been very lucky and grateful to have him as a friend. So shout out to Rio. Incredible feat. We are going to bring up his lineup here shortly and take a look at it and his pool and all those different things. But what a day, Nades. What an incredible week eight. We've been sweating Milly Makers all season. Rio was one of them, actually, to start the season off.

2:12

He had a second place in the Mills Makers. So I love that. Very inspiring for anybody out there, myself included, who has a close call. I came fourth last week. Maybe we'll go get it done next week, like Rio got it done a few weeks later after his first sweat in it just this year. But Nades, I'll bring you in, man. What's going on? Yeah, I mean, there's tons of H's, right? Honorable. I mean, you can go down the list. This guy is just a crusher in general.

2:33

Amazing human. Great friend. Great colleague. Just all things. I mean, can't say enough good things about him. Bust his ass. I mean, he's our main NBA guy over here, and NBA is a fucking grind. I'll tell you that right now, especially throughout the NFL season and kind of juggling both there. So awesome to see him get all the way home. The ultimate shipper. That's what we all play for. Right.

2:55

And I know he's thrown in one hundred and fifty like almost every SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. When you do that, right, you need these kind of hits to get there and getting all the way home to the top after the runner up finish earlier this year is awesome to see and couldn't happen to a better guy. So super happy for our guy Rio over here and everyone else at the nation, right? There was a lot of big wins.

3:17

Sir John Daly turned a couple of like three, $4,000 in about sixty grand in the Discord.

3:24

I had another really good week with some close calls, just kind of seems to be the case pretty much for myself and a lot of the other members in the Discord right putting yourself in contention just haven't gotten all the way home and um that that's all you can ask for right rio finishing runner up he could have kind of just said hey screw this this is this sucks he gets right back in there goes back to work and uh gets all the way home to the top so overall just an incredible season so far I think um what five five

3:49

Out of the eight weeks so far we've had someone in the nation or multiple people in the nation sweating either the $555 the twenty dollar or the uh the big um mega right so just pretty pretty incredible stuff I mean our ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. 4:16

Yeah, they're all here back to back. Rio had the run. Someone said yesterday, it's like it's not every week we're sweating. And then someone said, actually, it is like Rio was sweating the Ferguson catch down the stretch earlier in the season. And that was, you know, Lamb caught the touchdown. Then, you know, just a week or two later, Max Soda was sweating it out. And obviously, Tucker, we reviewed his stuff. Tucker got him. At the end. I had a fourth place last week.

4:37

We were sweating some almond raw down the stretch, and then Rio pops back in this weekend. Much different sweat from that matter. It was the anti-sweat of all anti-sweats just waiting. We will talk about that today. It goes with Rio's sweat, but also with the slate as a whole. The slate dynamics were quite interesting with having eleven games, not out of the ordinary, but But having three really insane, you know, just slog fest type games on the schedule.

5:01

I mean, they could have went any way, of course. I'm just noting it like when people were building their lineups, it was title. Our guy yesterday will be back at two p.m. Eastern with hoop title and myself for tonight's Monday night football slate. So stay tuned for that. But title said, you know, at the end of the day, you just you kind of want to be in first after that first set of runs and then just hope it works out.

5:20

It literally is exactly what happened yesterday. For Rio. So love that for Rio. All the support in the chat is appreciated. Just awesome, awesome stuff. So congrats to him. You said it. We're working on the site. We're working on the tools. And perfect segue, Nades. We have made it way easier for you to get in.

Ship It Nation dot com. We're going to get into breaking down these lineups needs and we're going to start. With our friends over at DFSOS.com. I know it's a sales pitch, but I don't even care. Yesterday, we were using it. Me and Rio were texting back and forth. Josh, who's the owner, he's awesome. He was doing some custom stuff behind the scenes, getting it over to us.

6:54

And then I was force feeding it over to Rio, just looking at it down the stretch because we're using it for the study. Portion, right? For the review, the study, the breakdown, the lineups, all that stuff. The FanDuel data you could never find before. It's complimentary with any other site out there. And you guys can use code SHIPIT to get it for twenty nine dollars a month locked in for the NFL season. So basically a dollar a day when we get there.

7:16

But this was some crazy shit he was showing off. I'll pull it up here on X. He's got, it's called sweat station. And it was going as we went along and tracking the entry. So for Rio, it was like, it says right here, he said, as we start the fourth quarter in the afternoon window, the sweat is getting real. Rio leads the, The twenty dollar milli was strong win equity was a seventy eight point four estimate chance of winning its estimates.

7:39

I get it. But anybody who's had cut sweats for DFS or any of those things, like basically just like that with a pretty sweet interface, you know, just every sport he's trying to get to all this other stuff. But you could see what was going on. He said it's not fully locked up, but things look good. It had the lineup. He said this is going to change around to sort of showcase quarterback in the order that you would see it. But it's this lineup.

8:00

It's live. The entry fee, what is expected was based on the win percentage, all of that and more. And then last night, he was showcasing. This is all going to be included, I think, starting as of Thursday. I don't know his exact plans over there, but he said it should be out. This was from Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Some really cool aspects of Sweat Station.

8:17

You can easily see how many dupes Each lineup had, so you can see, you know, two times duped, two times duped. You can see what the lineups were, what their current partial... It's their score. He's saying, like, partially into the event, chances of cashing, exposed net, you know, net, everything that you can see here. So expected net, sorry, on this one, most Likely to win, what you're fading. And I know there's another thing. I can't find it on here, but he showed it to me.

8:42

But you can sweat as somebody else or you can sweat as yourself. So anyway... Do what you want to do. I would get in before things change over, but I would just note that's the way. We're going to be using the dashboard nades and I'll pull up the Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. You're still at two sixty. I think Rio had two fifty five ish. We'll get there in a second. Two fifty four and two fifty eight. Maybe actually we'll look at it in a second. But just to note, this was the Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. 9:24

Yeah, so obviously the perfect lineup here, the Burrow, Chase, Higgins stuff, looked really good. Everyone knew that going into the slate. It was kind of how were you going to make it work, right, amongst the other stuff, right, the Bills game, the Dallas-Arizona game, right? There was just a lot of spots yesterday, and that was kind of one of the lessons going in, right, to the slate is you knew OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. 9:49

I mean, Chase, Burrow, and Higgins were like – less than twenty percent right like I mean twenty percent for chase ten percent basically eleven percent for Higgins like I mean we've seen slates where those the the game of the week so to speak right think back to the Dallas or uh the Lions Packers game etc right all the different variations a lot of times Lions are involved right of these guys be forty fifty percent out right and that that it So, I mean, that's kind of a cop-out wave there.

10:20

But in terms of this lineup, right, like throw Algier out, move him to Jonah Coleman there. You can throw him out, move Pollard up there, and then you've got about $5,000 to work with. And that's a lineup that people were getting there. And that allows you to kind of move up to Cooper on the Jets instead of Donnie Mitchell. So.

10:43

That play, right, is the play that people are going to kind of crap on, but people were in that game, right? They wanted the Kirk, at least a lot of people wanted the Kirk Cousins stuff, the Jets stuff, going back to Cooper, going back to Braylon Allen, who also had a good game. So people were leveraging that stuff with the passing game and on the other Garrett Wilson, the Cooper of the world. And Adani Mitchell.

11:05

So you could have landed there because of the game environment as a whole. The Harold Fannin play, we're going to obviously see that in Rio's winning Milly lineup. People are like, well, how in the world could you have got to a Harold Fannin? Well, number one, we knew the Steelers defense was going to be very, very popular going into the slate. Now they did come in.

11:23

Um a little bit lower because of the other uh defenses get steamed up like the Broncos like the Chargers went when people needed that extra couple hundred dollar savings but not only that like who was in that same exact range at tight end Hunter Henry I mean Hunter Henry came in about twenty some twenty two percent ownership twenty one percent ownership hundred dollars less than Hunter Henry and going against the chalk defense in harold Fannin uh and um just overall, I think.

11:49

So that's kind of how you could have landed there, which makes a lot of sense. And then the Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up D, when everybody else was paying down, right, going up to a pay-up D in the Jags, right, and pairing it up with Tootin and saying, hey, if Tootin's really going to do his thing, this could just be a row and an onslaught, right? That, that the Jags just do it. I know people were on the Parker Washington, the Trevor Lawrence side, the passing game.

12:11

So you could play that differently and just say, Hey, this game is going to slug it out. Jags looked really good. The Colts are kind of selling everybody here. This could just be an absolute, um, butt kicking. And that's what, what it turned out to be. So I think a lot of these plays people were on, Throw out the Algier, throw out the Donnie Mitchell, insert two chalk pieces, you still win the Mills. I mean, there's about a forty point delta here.

12:34

So you can throw out those guys and still at least build competitive lineups that would have placed really well in pretty much any contest you were playing in. Yeah, I mean, even this aside, I think one note you just mentioned that was key is like the the popular defense being Pittsburgh. The idea there's like such a blend there and we'll get to when we get to Rio's lineup. But of like the Steelers were the popular pay up D that's fanning against it.

12:55

You mentioned that, but I'm saying like then the idea of it's also when people were just playing one tight end, it's going to be Hunter Henry. There for a hundred bucks more. So you, you know, instead of playing Hunter Henry with the Steelers D which would be popular, you can play fan in with a Patriots D and then you've got the guy against the Patriots while playing the Patriots D instead of Henry. Like there's just a bit of a trifecta that people don't look at it.

13:16

I saw some, um, I was showing some stuff off over the DFS Mastermind Discord this morning of like, um, P a lot of people played Chase Brown and one of Robinson or I a manner. But even if you didn't get all the way to the top with this build in thinking about how you could get different in other builds was like if you played Tony Pollard and Higgins.

13:34

Well, it's a very similar cost and standing point of like that's kind of the setup there. You could do that and then at different positions and all that. So I think it's just, you know, flipping these things and looking at them as ways to play other lineups differently. I know over on the stone yesterday, we had obviously a massive stack ranking for the Bengals.

13:53

Again, not like they were super overall popular, but then when you're putting it all together and looking at it, like, how could I pair it up? We talked yesterday. Look, it was leverage lane on Saturday, Blickle and I, and someone was saying, Hey, I think I'm just going to go naked quarterbacks this week and fill up the pieces. And we're like, no, let's go find some of these Game StackIn the NFL, a game stack usually combines a quarterback, one or two of his pass catchers and one or more players from the opposing offense.Target games where the spread is close as well as the total high. A high total with a lopsided spread can turn into a blowout where only one side keeps scoring.Read the full definition of Game Stack and run it back. But if you've got, you know, Burrow, You see Chase, you see Higgins.

14:13

How could we get there? Well, we had really cheap options that were optimal with Robinson, Isle Manor, Helm. Had an optimal LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Read the full definition of Leverage on Tony Pollard again. And obviously the Rush D matchup wasn't that hard for him to go up against. So you could see where you could get to it and do it. And those that got there kind of just filled out the rest of the pieces with Allen, the good chalk. Where's he at here?

14:34

He was almost thirty for a value running back. You never see it. So don't be surprised when this guy hits. That's kind of the whole point, right? You want to see that. Tootin, right? Another guy that a lot of people were on against a pretty bad Rushdie over there. We tried to leverage that in some cases. By the way, shout out to Blickle. Rodriguez did get the touchdown. He could have got more. He had like so much time.

14:53

I thought we were going to get the two touchdown bet. And I had that for a decent number, but we got the any time. Um, you know, he did, like I said, circle back on it, uh, you know, in his own Discord mentioning that obviously with the opportunity cost and Alan coming alive and all that, it wasn't as ideal. You could still go there. But then the other thing too, I think needs, it's important with like the fan and spot.

15:12

Cause we'll go back now to the, um, the Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. After games, it uses actual scores; before games, a projected optimal uses estimated scores and any lineup restrictions you set. When reviewing an optimal, replace its most surprising scorer with a realistic pregame alternative. Check whether the remaining construction still offered a credible path to winning your contest.Read the full definition of Optimal Lineup and then go to the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate review and Let's go look for yesterday. We will look at the main event after, but let's pull up Rio's here just so we can do it. M noob, by the way, is the one that won everything else that Rio didn't win. This is the only thing real block, the guy that won everything else, but they're both happy today. That's for sure.

15:34

If there's another thing that the H and Hebrew cheetah could stand for, it's happy, very happy today. I guarantee about this, but just go check it out here for a second. This is the winning lineup that Rio had yesterday. Um, another thing is he had the a hundred bucks left over. And again, it's all in an OptimizerAn optimizer is software that builds DFS lineups within a site's salary cap and roster rules. It uses projected fantasy points, your settings and, in some tools, simulations to select combinations for a chosen goal.Build a small test batch first. Check which players and combinations repeat, and investigate why before increasing the lineup count or changing settings.Read the full definition of Optimizer. We get that.

15:52

But a lot of the things that people would look at and think about was a lot more people would have had Coleman here. Right. And that, that doesn't get them.

16:00

Coleman had what a back should have showed that off first but just go here uh whoops sorry go to this one uh he won two fifty nine point oh eight was the final actual total and he you know the difference was m noob and then I know I think it was where's this one at was it he would have took second because he less he won by right a little bit less than six points Yeah, that's right.

16:31

I'm saying that that's there, but I'm looking, where's the guy? Oh, it was Hot Chili Pants was the one trying to make a run at the end with Malik Washington. We saw a big Coleman touchdown, remember? And then it was definitely Coleman late, right? Coleman was making the push there with Roger Buzz, but it was very unlikely to turn around the way. It was like a perfect Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Read the full definition of Game Script. It couldn't go to OT, all that stuff. So that really worked out.

16:54

But yeah, That's a prime example, too, where people see it. Most would have just played Coleman there, playing the two tight end build instead of going to another running back there. And if you look, look at Rio's usage yesterday. It's another nice thing about DFSOS. You can go right in and see his full portfolio. He had almost fifty percent double tight end lineups yesterday on this slate. So Fannin with the hundred bucks.

17:16

The other thing we had a conversation earlier about like the slates like the slate dependent. You typically will see players from the afternoon in lineups. But it's also because a typical slate has three games or more in the afternoon. And usually two of them are bangers or one of them is a bang. Like it's a fifty eight point. Look at the Green Bay Detroit. I have no clue still to this day how one of the games from yesterday.

17:41

At least one of them from the morning wasn't in the afternoon between the Dallas, Arizona, the Baltimore Buffalo. They must've known that Lamar was going to come in and get injured on the first play. And we'd be down to the third string by the end of it.

17:51

But of note, another thing about the a hundred bucks, the Discord, the discourse, the Discord discourse this morning over at DFS Mastermind as, um, written talks about here says has reviewed so many lineups is honest your way off will tell you but also sure you can fix that I'm not always right either it's not just about being right wrong whatever it's more of noting things that we see and I think there is a big myth around like oh you gotta have someone from the afternoon you know he could add Jags here paired with tootin the optimizer could have given him that and someone said you know maybe maybe there's a rule that he wouldn't get any of those lineups or something like that and so you know I'm Had to go and check.

18:27

But I know just – I only – I couldn't go through all of them. I only went through like the first fifty. But right here, line up with nobody from the afternoon. Like we're not really setting it up for that. The slate sets it up. And the slate dynamics of yesterday was all the games were in the morning. Titles, comments, stands. You kind of want to be sitting in first and then just hope that you're good. And that's what ended up happening.

18:46

And, you know, Jags D could have been here and the anti-sweat could have been that and already had points sitting with the Jags D and been even better off at the end of the night. But it doesn't matter because – He won a million bucks, got the job done. You got to score the most Fantasy PointsFantasy points are the score a DFS contest assigns to a player or team defense by converting real sports statistics and results through its scoring rules. Your lineup's total determines your contest ranking. Before trusting an average, check which games it includes and whether the player's role has changed. Separate repeatable opportunities from a few unusually productive games.Read the full definition of Fantasy Points, Nades, no matter where and when they come from. That's the name of the slate.

19:02

So ruling yourself out or trying to put yourself into a box is not something I would be doing in DFS, especially in twenty twenty six, almost twenty twenty seven, when the game is ever adapting and changing on the fly as we speak with all the new tools and data and analytics and. All of this stuff. So let's talk about Rio's lineup donates. And then we can sort of, your, your specialty is sort of digging in.

19:22

I know you've looked at his portfolio, found some interesting stuff there. We can go through it all and try and shake it down here and see what thoughts are around his, his Player PoolA player pool is the set of players you consider using in your DFS lineups for a slate, the games or events included in a contest. The term can also mean everyone available to select in that contest.Keep a replacement beside each uncertain player, noting the salary and position you need. Recheck those alternatives when news changes so your shortlist still produces usable lineups.Read the full definition of Player Pool and portfolio.

19:30

Yeah overall I think this is a really sharp build obviously right um for for a couple reasons right number one we knew all the value yesterday was at the spend or the kind of lower mid-tier running back right so a lot of teams came pre-loaded with three running backs right graylin allen tootin being two of them but then Chase Brown was getting mixed in there um romanza Stevenson was getting mixed in there a ton um Jonah Coleman right Bucky Irving giovante right so all I mean

20:01

Some of the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership guys right seven of the highest owned guys in the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate were all running backs right so what did rio do looking at his portfolio there to help him allow this lineup or a lineup similar to this in terms of construction get to the top right it's not about this specific lineup and the picks and the plays it's about how he set us up right and you talked about it flex usage fifty percent usage of his flex was tight ends why because there was a lot of value right gunner helm Bengals can't

20:30

Guard the tight end it's been a standing thing for years right two three years now where tight ends have been streamlined not only is it just the gunner helm play it's who were the values on that team right wandale Robinson and um io manor right where the ValueValue is the fantasy production you expect from a player relative to his salary. A value play offers more production or upside than his price suggests, whether he is cheap or expensive.Identify why the salary looks wrong: workload, matchup, scoring ability or a pricing error. Then check whether that reason still holds when you submit your lineup.Read the full definition of Value plays people are going to the issue is is the salary floor on wide receivers $3,000 right so this allows you to play those two mid-tier running backs, but then not go all the way up and play the Pukas alongside of Ja'Marr Chase and play two of those Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up wide receivers, which a lot of the field wanted to do, which then made them punt the wide receiver three into one of those value guys, right?

21:07

So he kind of flipped the build on its head here, went with the combo pack of the two tight end, which allowed him to spend about that $6,000. Right. That that upper $6,000 range where he could have landed on a guy like Chase Brown right for that salary and then punted Michael Wilson down to a $3,000 wide receiver. So many lineups yesterday were not playing three wide receivers, $6,000 or above. They just weren't.

21:31

You couldn't get there because the ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Read the full definition of Projections and the value score on the running back position was just so much higher, right? And how were they doing that? They were punting one of the wide receiver plays and punting the defense. What did he do? He punted the tight end and the flex with two guys that leveraged the field that we talked about already with Harold Fannin leveraging off the Brenton Strange, which we didn't talk about.

21:54

In that range and the Hunter Henry, he sandwiched between them going up against the ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Read the full definition of Chalk spend of defense where Patriots fall in here. Right. So he didn't fall into the same kind of Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. It includes where you spend or save, which positions you prioritize, and how your players fit together.Build two versions around your biggest spending decision, then compare every player who changes. Revisit the comparison when injury news changes the available value.Read the full definition of Roster Construction with this lineup. And that's why this lineup gave him the opportunity to separate. And then people can say, well, Michael Wilson got sixty one yards in the touchdown on the last play of the game. Well, that's just a process of the results. You have to have luck go your way.

22:16

We were sweating that. We were cheering on it. I had it up on the sweat state. Every catch, we were going crazy in the Discord. And that's just what happens, right? The absolute nut run out you had to have to get overtime with the Burrow rushing touchdown and all of that, like that all has to fall your way. But you have to be able to build and create your portfolio to put you into a position like this.

22:37

And this is where you kind of think outside the box, right? It's very hard for everyone in optimizers. And if you don't manipulate your OptimizerAn optimizer is software that builds DFS lineups within a site's salary cap and roster rules. It uses projected fantasy points, your settings and, in some tools, simulations to select combinations for a chosen goal.Build a small test batch first. Check which players and combinations repeat, and investigate why before increasing the lineup count or changing settings.Read the full definition of Optimizer, manipulate your inputs going into an optimizer, there's no way you would have landed on a team like this yesterday because sixty, seventy percent of the teams that you were going to get were going to be three running backs because the value was too good there overall.

22:56

So he kind of flipped the build on its head because when you look at his portfolio here and Obviously, we know Rio and we can talk to him in the Discord and things like that. But he really didn't take massive stands at really anywhere outside of Chase Brown, Drake London, Hawkins and Gunnar Helm. Right. Everyone else was pretty similar to the field.

23:13

It was how he set up his portfolio and the roster construction and in total that allowed these pieces to work together and then give him the separation. Yeah, we'll go there in a second. I think that's pretty interesting. And that's the, the intrigue of people looking at it. Cause obviously you get the people from the outside looking in, say it must be nice, you know, run an optimizer, hundred and fifty lineups, get this, but you have full control over it.

23:33

I say it all the time when people say that we've, the running joke has been for all of us that have been in the game, like real posted ten plus years playing the game. I've been ten plus years. You've been playing a long time, Nades. When we've been doing this and people say it, it's like there's credit cards, lines of credit, do whatever.

23:46

I'm not recommending this, not financial advice, but I'm just saying the running joke was always if it's easy with one fifty, saddle up you can sign up get the same you can use the same tools that rio uses you can play the same tournaments that rio plays do it it's not that easy man you gotta be you gotta be out there and for I mean someone was hilarious too there was another post that said like man this guy's been running hot for three years you don't run hot for three years sorry to tell you out there you have to be good at this game you have to be dedicated and that's what rio does so um you know I NBA live final, MLB live final, NFL,

24:20

Like you name all these sports on top of everything else. MMA streets is where you originally, you know, I saw him for the very first time, you know, met him at an NBA for the first place. I met him was in an NBA live final many years ago in Denver, you know, things like that. So, you don't just get hot for, you know, and stay hot for three years, right? You got to be in the streets.

24:37

You got to, you know, go through the ups and downs and that's all part of it. Like I said, people just like to see sort of the end result. They don't think about all the hard work that goes into it and time and hours and sweat and tears, whatever else it might be.

24:48

But just to note it, Michael Wilson, another thing here, I like this quite a bit is if you're not paying up to McBride, where does you know you're saying not only is it not going to be McBride it's going to be two guys for just under his price let me go get the guy that would hurt him though and take him out while I'm making this move the other thing is um opportunity cost of the position when you've got um Robinson and

25:10

Iamanner who like everyone's look people are going to say oh almost ten minutes it's not like Burrow was alone almost twenty percent jamar almost four well playing them all together and then said well still people did that okay they did but how but Eventually, you got to give credit somewhere where credit's due, where the lineup landed. And my thing is always this.

25:26

When you have most people that have those guys in, even if they're double stacking, most are going to be using Robinson or Isle Manor. So the direct moves would be Helm down at a onesie position that you kind of got to use at least one anyway, or Pollard. And I know people didn't really want to go back to Pollard and all this stuff, but just noting it like that, that would be the thought is okay.

25:48

If I can move to one of those two positions and get off the middle guys in the ground, that's where I can do it. Whether it was as a One-OffIn NFL DFS, a one-off is a player you select outside your stacks, commonly a running back or a receiver without his quarterback. An opposing receiver intentionally paired with your stack instead serves as a bring-back.Before adding a one-off, compare him with an affordable teammate of your existing stack. Decide whether his individual upside is worth passing up that extra scoring connection.Read the full definition of One-Off, like I said earlier, I liked lineups that instead of Chase Brown and one of those cheap wide receivers had Pollard with Higgins.

26:02

Not chase in those builds because if I have chase I kind of want him in the single or double stacks with Burrow because when he has thirty four point days what I always say oftentimes the man comes along this is the biggest one we've seen in a long time but forty five and a half thirty four point one and forty and a half Higgins is just a beast I've been saying it for years now it's on record nice thing about doing this and it's been recorded Higgins just out there man he crushes it all the time Ja'Marr Chase obviously we know it is what it is with him so I'm just noting that though The opportunity cost of the slate was how many good running backs did we have versus tight ends?

26:36

And running backs, we had an abundance of running backs. So again, there's lineups out there that got there with the same spot with Tony Pollard up here. But I tell you what, I'd feel much better with these two running backs. And then just saying, you know what, I'll punt off the onesie position because if it's not going to get there, I'm saying that really all you're worried about, and this is where people get confused, like, but Bowers had a big day.

26:56

We like him with Cousins because a two touchdown day looks good with Cousins. But just noting it, It was really what you have to worry about for the slate, the slate dynamics I was talking about, who was actually owned at tight end, and it was McBride. So when he's doing these moves, again, I know that people say the optimizer does it, but the optimizer is doing it based on his inputs.

27:14

But when you're seeing this stuff happen, when it's putting Helm in and not those other guys and saying Helm at a onesie versus Pollard where there's so many better options, you end up getting those better options that pop up and end up having good results, which is great. Even though Pollard had a great day. It's just noting it. This is why this makes sense.

27:33

And then saying, and if I'm going to do this, I'm going to still give you a little bit of coverage on that. I'm going to give you some insurance on that McBride stuff and hope that while guys like Helm and Fannin are getting involved, it's hurting. And it's because McBride's not having the ceiling day, but let's get that ceiling moved over to somewhere else. And it's Michael Wilson.

27:52

And then we talked about like the Fannin, Patriots versus Henry Steelers being a way more common thing. If you were even paying up, by the way, a lot of people were paying down yesterday, only four percent owned on those guys. If you go down and look, I think he had Jags, only six percent owned, had themselves a day, you know, ten points out of the Rams at $3,500, only four percent. People just weren't paying up for D.

28:14

I talked about that on leverage lane, thought it was the way to go. But let's go back up and look at the portfolio. We'll definitely spend a little bit more time here.

28:21

Let's go by OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership nades and you want to walk through this a little bit you know UnderweightYou are underweight in DFS when a player, team stack or lineup combination appears in a smaller percentage of your entries than in the contest field's entries.Compare the same contest, format and roster slot. Use projected ownership before lock, then check actual ownership afterward to see whether your intended underweight stance held.Read the full definition of Underweight on zay obviously the unfortunate news for the Ravens and for Ravens fans like myself with lamar going down but the you know remandre right here cd lamb tootin henry still had a bunch of him still had you know alan pretty even but you want to talk about this a little bit so give us your thoughts here Yeah, I want to circle back on one point real quick just because I ran some more stuff.

28:46

So the twenty dollar Milly Maker field as a whole, thirty seven percent of the field played running back Flex and UTILA standard NFL FLEX accepts a running back, wide receiver or tight end. In DraftKings NFL Showdown, FLEX instead means a regular-scoring slot alongside Captain, with broader eligibility that includes quarterbacks. Before lock, identify affordable replacements for your latest starter. An open FLEX or UTIL slot helps only if suitable unlocked players remain within your budget.Read the full definition of Flex and UTIL, thirty eight percent of field played wide receiver in the flex. Why? Because of all those values we talked about. I am and I write and then all the other running backs in that mid tier range. Where all year the value at tight end because of the position outside of your unicorns, the McBride and the Bowers, these guys just cannot get priced up.

29:12

If these guys were in the wide receiver position and they're same teams with their same role, these guys would be in the upper $5,000, low $6,000 range. Guys like Harold Fannin and these other ones.

29:25

Just the instance there of understanding the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate as a whole and not just playing two tight ends when everybody's playing two tight ends because we have all this value in the world from the tight end position that everybody sees right everybody hated tight end yesterday that doesn't mean go away from it in that regard not just because it won I gave all the points but before and then the burl stuff right well Burrow chase and Higgins those guys are all ten percent plus owned but two percent of the field played them together guess who else the equivalent of Brenton Strange

29:56

Parker Washington Trevor Lawrence the exact same percent of the field played that as they played burl so it's not getting off the wall it's not getting crazy I mean you took a room of a hundred people it brought it down to two and a half Right. Two and a half percent of the field played those three together and the same same amount played the Parker Washington, Trevor Lawrence, Brenton Strange stuff. Right.

30:15

So little things like that is interesting and a way to kind of look at it and not take the picks and plays for what they are, but look at the shape and the portfolio manipulation there. As a whole. Right. And looking at his, right, he took two of the biggest stands. He took his Trey McBride, but when he, he, he didn't just take the stand on Trey McBride because of the tight end position and the two tight end usage.

30:39

He also took a big heavyweight overweight stance on Michael Wilson because so many people were down on this guy, right? You saw title. I might need to hang it up with this dude. This guy is still the alpha wide receiver in this offense. If Trey McBride and the defenses start scheming it over to Trey McBride, well, I mean, they got Jeremiah Love. They got all these other wider running backs. They're still a pass first offense.

31:00

So a guy in that $6,000 mid range where other people were playing. A bunch of other wide receivers in that range, right? T Higgins, obviously in there, but Parker Washington, it's $6,500. He was one of the more popular plays on the slate. Garrett Wilson, hundred dollars less. Michael Wilson right there. So little things like that is what can you allow your portfolio to get there?

31:22

And I thought he took a pretty big stand on that because of the game environments. But it was more the price for these guys and the value it alluded to. Outside of that, I mean, I'll go to it in a second. I want to cut you off because I want to show some other stuff.

31:35

Shout out to Christian here, you know, in the DFSOS streets maybe, but already knew going back to six weeks ago when Rio had the second place in the twenty dollar. Again, this is why this is invaluable. You can just you can go in and find anything. I found it in seconds. You go look it up and he called it out. He said, yeah, Rio had the Dak Prescott. Stack there.

31:52

It was Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Ferguson, but he did have Dalton Schultz, double tight end, and Schultz was also against Cincinnati that week, and Helm against Cincinnati this week, part of the stack that week in a different spot, but still, Schultz there is somebody he had.

32:08

He spent

32:11

Um you know there maybe if he had to spend forty nine point seven or more he could have won that's the the running rumor but yeah you can you can leave money on the table in these tournaments as well so just a you know huge shout out you know to point that out I think that's really interesting just to go and see another shout out um you know just using the stuff over at Ship It Nation we talked about the bangles were the number one stack ranking on the slate there um so just keeping that in mind the Cardinals had a good stack ranking and you could put in Michael Wilson if you weren't going there and so there was a

32:38

Lot of different things that you could do on this slate let's go back to the portfolio there nades or whoops the wrong pull up his deep pull up his defense because this can solidify kind of all the points that I I did and kind of tie a bow on it on how this works if you look at his uh his ownerships on the defense section right all of the spend down defenses the sub-$3,000 guys the Broncos the Falcons the box the Chargers the Raiders the Dolphins The Browns all underweight the field or equal, pretty similar to match in the field, which is just a, but the big one is the Broncos.

33:13

Look at his highest leveraged spots from the defense, all Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up. Why did that work and why was that allowed? Because he flipped the script and had doubled the tight end flex usage than the field did where the field was paying down at defense.

33:29

He allowed that and Fried up that extra eight hundred to a thousand dollars to get up and unlock the ceiling of a team like the Jags, where he was three X the field, a team like the Patriots, where he was three X the field. Right. That's how you kind of unlock that ceiling and that in a way that the field doesn't see. And they're doing it by the three value running backs or the Isle Manor, Wanda Robinson, Jaco.

33:55

Lane from from the uh the um Ravens

33:59

Those kind of value wide receivers right so that's another thing too it's direct CorrelationCorrelation describes how two players' fantasy scores move together. Positively correlated players tend to have big games at the same time, usually because one player's success directly adds points for the other. When you build a tournament lineup, ask which of your players need the same thing to happen. The more of them that do, the higher your lineup's ceiling.Read the full definition of Correlation to his portfolio in a in a hole unlocking those ceilings from those spend up defenses when everybody wanted to punt defenses yeah so lines it's one move that's a good point by you here because like obviously you know you weren't getting a lot of this they were you know they were six you know stealers were up there a little bit but he kind of was in line with them but his overweights were on the five percenters and the six percenters and whatnot and then even in the cheap range double the field on the $2,700 instead of if you sort by OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. 34:30

Three hundred dollar huge negative you know, around the field with the $3,300, because, again, it was still a pay up and it still did that stuff to the build. But it's a product of this. And if you were looking at it and he's putting his he's giving up the sauce, he probably doesn't want to tell you everything he's doing. But it's very easy to tell when you dig into these portfolios of like this is not, you know, something you're just going to get.

34:50

That's why when people say, oh, I saw a logo up top, I better go buy the product and just press the button. You still got to do it. Right. I use the Ferrari example all the time. Somebody could park a Ferrari in my driveway and unfortunately, Nades, for me, it'd be up for sale if it's given to me because I can't drive it. I'd have to go get lessons. I don't have time for that. I have to do all this other stuff.

35:09

I don't know. I've never driven a Ferrari. I'd drive that thing right into a wall. So thanks for the gift, but I'd rather just go sell it and get the cash. This is the setup where it's like, you got to know what you're doing with the tool. And that's what, you know, what Rio does in depth, right? We've got saver series videos. You can go check out over on the site and how he's doing it.

35:24

So I guess that's probably why he doesn't mind as much, but he says, um, He says, defense is one of the easiest ways to get LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Read the full definition of Leverage. Everyone jamming cheap Defense/Special Teams (DST)Defense/Special Teams (DST) is a roster selection representing one NFL team's combined defense and special teams, rather than an individual player. If paying more forces you off an important offensive role, check whether a cheaper defense offers a credible path through sacks and turnovers.Read the full definition of Defense/Special Teams to spend up. Do it at tight end instead and spend up for good defenses when they're favorites. Easy game. And again, it's almost easy to say the next day when you want a million bucks. He was second six weeks ago in the thing. It's common things that you can control your own stuff.

35:48

That's what the show is all about. That's what we talk about. And Rio says, right now, I haven't been able to tune into the show as much as I would like. Probably has a lot on the go. And I wonder how his head's feeling after last night, if there's any celebration and effects. We'll find out. Rio has already texted me back and said he will be on the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Read the full definition of Showdown Shippers show at two p.m. Eastern.

36:04

So if you want to see Rio, hear what his story is, talk to him directly. That's going to be this afternoon. We will kick it off with a special edition four-man booth, Showdown Shippers, who titled Rio myself. We'll probably let Rio escape after he gives us the story, but, and then get into the showdown stuff, the, The freebie, you know, people will be mad. Oh, why aren't you talking about the captains yet? Because our guy just won a million dollars. And that's exactly why.

36:27

So I can't wait for that one. But he says, but the breakdowns are invaluable. And that's what I think is important, right? The people that don't review and then wonder why they're not getting the results that they want. Not saying you got to go this granular, but I think it is important to actually know what's going on and try and get these takeaways. This is a great example, actually, Nades, that he just gave with that defense's comment, by the way.

36:47

Of when people say, oh, I don't even know why you guys review a Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. After games, it uses actual scores; before games, a projected optimal uses estimated scores and any lineup restrictions you set. When reviewing an optimal, replace its most surprising scorer with a realistic pregame alternative. Check whether the remaining construction still offered a credible path to winning your contest.Read the full definition of Optimal Lineup, and I don't know why you look at these portfolios. He just had an OptimizerAn optimizer is software that builds DFS lineups within a site's salary cap and roster rules. It's the sauce right there. He had to go in and physically say, if this, then that, and then be okay with it. When you adjust the defenses...

37:03

And it starts to show you, hey, just so you know, you're getting a lot of tight end Flex and UTILA standard NFL FLEX accepts a running back, wide receiver or tight end. In DraftKings NFL Showdown, FLEX instead means a regular-scoring slot alongside Captain, with broader eligibility that includes quarterbacks. Before lock, identify affordable replacements for your latest starter. An open FLEX or UTIL slot helps only if suitable unlocked players remain within your budget.Read the full definition of Flex and UTIL now. But he starts to see what that looks like. And it's like, damn, now I'm getting none of these loser cheap receivers that everybody's on and none of these loser cheap defenses that everybody's on. And I can just get better versions of my lineups. And these are unique.

37:19

Now, when I'm on Burrow, Chase and Higgins, yeah, I got Gunnar Helm, but I also got Michael Wilson, Tootin, Braylon Allen, a top tier defense. I can tell you this, you know, even with the Patriots defense and the lead, we were texting and Rio's like, man, just got to get this to the house. Just got to run this clock. Got to do that.

37:37

But I guarantee you, I don't even have to have him on yet to tell you that he was feeling better having the Patriots defense than the cheap chalk Denver Broncos defense having to get him to the house, whether it worked out or not. It's not about the result. I'm saying that's got to feel good at the end of the day, knowing at least you got the real spot.

37:54

I got the D going up against Malik Washington, not the D going up against Patrick Mahomes and all this other stuff over there and Kenneth Walker and, and Rashi Rice and different dudes that you're like, ah, not sure, but they just made everything work. Well, he already had it work. And now he just needed a top tier defense to come through. So love to see that. That's going to be good. And Abyssal, we just said it.

38:14

I'm going to have two Milly Maker winners and Title and myself on the show this afternoon, two p.m. Eastern to kick it off. We'll get Rio's story, hear about the sweat, hear about the after effects and all of that. See how he's feeling today. But they got to be feeling pretty good. A million dollars richer. And just it's way more. Again, not all will follow, but it's definitely way more about the accomplishment, getting across the line. It's like winning a major.

38:36

For those that follow golf or NFL, it's like winning a Super Bowl. It's like you can get there. And nice thing about DFS, you can play in it every week. It's like these players in the NFL got to go through all these things to get to a Super Bowl and then hope to win it. It's just hard enough even to get there, but it's hard to get up to the top and have these sweats in these big tournaments.

38:52

So getting it across the line, obviously has to feel very good. So shout out again to Rio. This was from the owner at DFSOS.com that we're on using right now. Josh, always getting the fixes in. We appreciate it, man. Everyone's very excited for the sweat station, by the way. He says, I used to watch T. Higgins play at Oak Ridge High School. You could tell the ones that are going to be special. He's probably a better Hooper than football player too, to be honest.

39:15

I didn't know that. He's got the hoop skills in there as well. So that's awesome. But Yeah, well, Braylon Allen, right? I watched this dude whoop up on my high school team. This guy played both ways, never came off the field, and just absolutely smashed, dethroned us from seven state titles in a row at our school with this dude, right? So, like, it's pretty – the thing that Josh says is a telltale sign. Halliburton, same thing.

39:40

Halliburton played against my high school in basketball.

39:43

The dude was throwing windmill dunks down as a sophomore and a junior in high school, like, you just know these guys that are special so it's pretty pretty cool to see but yeah shout out to rio I mean the the one simple move pretty much that the main move in his portfolio was flipping the build with the flex position utilization and then taking that over to the d uh or to the yeah defense to to unlock the spend up defenses that all actually have a ceiling versus just trying to hold on to that ten points that the defenses start out with Yeah, definitely makes sense.

40:13

And we got to see it in real time. So we love to see that. So, yeah, there's a lot. So that's just two between Hoop and Rio. But we also got, you know, I think what else do we got? We got Chad won it. Chris won it. Dalton won it. So I think we're up to five at least now, if not one more. Maybe I'm missing somebody, but that's a lot of wins for the nation.

40:34

Like we said earlier, if you guys want to get in at the nation, no one's guaranteeing you're going to win a million bucks. I can tell you from experience, very hard to do. Have not got it myself yet, but I will tell you this. If you want to get in, you can get in for just one forty nine. For the content only, that's right through Super Bowl. So it's not just some regular season promo.

40:51

And then we come back with a ninety nine dollar promo at the end of the year or anything like that. This is the way we do things here. One forty nine rest of season. One ninety nine. If you want to add in SaberSim, but all the other stuff, Ship It Games, by the way, giving away $50,000 in cash and prizes, just doing it really different over here at the nation. So hopefully you guys will join us. Check that out.

41:10

You don't need any promo codes or anything. You go right to the site, scroll down to NFL only and go from there. And that's, that's the best part. Axtron says, and not staff slash owner. Yeah. Like hoop is, is a co-founder and owner. And then you got, you know, Rio does all of our content for NBA and beyond, but just to note it, it's like, that's the whole point. You wouldn't just want that. Some sites are leaning on that.

41:29

Hey, we got guys that won the milli seven years ago, and this is what we got. Like, Okay. What about, we got everything. We got members that are winning it. We got all the data and the ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Read the full definition of Projections and all that stuff. I've been proven out at this point. You don't have that. Go to, go to shipitnation.com and find Winner's Circle and find all the members that are winning. That's the key. And that's what it's all about. And I love what Jordan said earlier.

41:49

I mean, this was just awesome to see, but he said, um, Or was it? He's got so many good comments. He said, we got so many good comments in here. But Jordan said, I had more fun yesterday sweating Rio's Milly than I do sweating some of my biggest wins. That was amazing. And when it's all about cheering on someone you know and respect when things go south, I always say it. Cheer for yourself first.

42:06

We had some back and forth and some more Discord discourse. I don't care. I love everybody. I don't know when. I've never not supported people being in the position. I felt the support when I've been in the position. I think that's the amazing thing. Obviously, cheer for yourself first. No one's saying that, but for Rio's sweat yesterday, Henry going out was good for his sweat.

42:23

I don't want to wish it on other people, but I will note that at the end of the day, it was all mentioned in Rio's sweat. For Rio...

42:30

Um henry was a guy that was chasing him down and so not having in there nobody is ever wishing injury upon anybody you know we don't want someone to get injured we just want to make sure that we're getting it set up where um you know when you're in the position you want as many things to go your way as possible and keep that momentum rolling and then you just want that damn clock to run right run that clock let's go so and he was in there with us right watch the sweat in the channel the community is amazing it was definitely lit in there there was I mean two hundred plus once rio posted his thing

42:57

And people coming in right away to congratulate him and support him just in that moment so that's that's what you love to see uh get a look at this one nades yesterday so I said it earlier the lineup that took down everything else I think it might be he was uh he probably won I'm assuming it was five tickets because he played five entries in here five entries in the twenty dollar and almost had the double ultimate shipper of two point five two point five milli Josh posted it here earlier for DFSOS account said same five lineups, four contests, one point seven million and a live final seat.

43:29

Won the midseason main event right off the five entries. Had the same five in the one fifty. Got the job done there. The really nice the power sweep, right? Like similar amount of entries is that. But it's a five max with one hundred cap tops. It's a great tournament. If that's within your Bankroll ManagementBankroll management is how you size your DFS spending relative to the money you have set aside to play, called your bankroll, so normal losing streaks do not wipe you out.Write down your per-slate limit before the season starts. Spending rules are much easier to keep when you set them before a losing streak, not during one.Read the full definition of Bankroll Management that you can play any given week. Got the second place for $100,000 in the twenty.

43:48

Put the little you know, the Everybody knows the old FOMO Express, right? You know, I'm not going to miss out on the twenty dollar. I know like, you know, even if I come up short, this is kind of the secret of satellites that I always talk about.

43:57

It's like if you had to work backwards and put it in the twenty dollar millimaker, you'd want it in these other ones, because if it's good enough to win the twenty dollar millimaker, it's definitely winning or very Likely to be winning these other ones. Not always the case here. So $900,000 light again, shout out to Rio. He's got that $900,000 in his pocket now. Very nice. But over here, still getting the job done in another way and then having it in.

44:19

I think it was the four ninety. This one was the five max. But anyway, got the job done there as well. So congrats to M Noob. Let's go look at that lineup, Nays, just to see. And the five five lineup portfolio, just so we can check it out, because. So it's very similar, but he had the Wandale value wide receiver play. But what I like to see about this is this is like a four-leg parlay instead of a nine-leg parlay, right?

44:46

I mean, it's the Burrow, Chase Higgins out there, but he ran it back with the combo pack of wandale and gunner helm which was $6,700 combo pack there and still he he played the three uh running backs on his entire portfolio here a hundred percent utilization of three running backs and kind of picked his spots So this is another way to he still had he still spread himself at quarterback and went in on one one lineup for each quarterback, which is fine.

45:15

But how did he why? Because he picked his spots at running back. Right. He had Tootin on four of the five. Allen and Bucky on three of the five. Chase Brown on the other ones, because when he wasn't on.

45:27

The Burrow stuff right he was on Chase Brown right so from a portfolio manipulation standpoint of going in with five lineups against The FieldThe field is everyone else entered in a contest, the group of lineups you are competing against. Before you build, picture the typical lineup in your contest. Then decide on purpose where you'll match it and where you'll step away from it.Read the full definition of The Field um especially like the the fifteen hundred dollar where the the pros the the sharks in there have the max entrance where he probably, I'm assuming, had the five tickets just based on he probably plays the power sweep weekly and was lucky enough to get five tickets. Maybe he straight bought, who knows, he or she.

45:54

But that's one thing, too, that I liked just looking at this is he's slicing dice into the Steelers. Defense chalk with a Jalen Warren piece at $6,600 when there were so many other guys at that flex range in that $6,600 price point. Guys like Braylon Allen in there as well. It was. Yeah, he already had Braylon Allen in there. But there I mean, There's a bunch of other guys like in that same kind of range, right?

46:22

Chase Brown, right in that same range Flex and UTILA standard NFL FLEX accepts a running back, wide receiver or tight end. In DraftKings NFL Showdown, FLEX instead means a regular-scoring slot alongside Captain, with broader eligibility that includes quarterbacks. Before lock, identify affordable replacements for your latest starter. An open FLEX or UTIL slot helps only if suitable unlocked players remain within your budget.Read the full definition of Flex and UTIL there. He could have played Chase Brown right there instead of Jalen Warren, who nobody wanted to go back to. I know you were a high on Jalen Warren as well in your write ups over on the on the website because we just saw the same matchup running back from last week just gassed his team in the same exact spot.

46:41

Jalen Warren nobody wanted to go back to him he's still in that mid-tier range as a PivotA pivot in DFS is an alternative player or lineup combination you choose instead of another option. 46:59

The biggest thing is not playing nine individual parlays here and just going in on the game environment and then playing the good plays around it because you unlocked the chalk, the ability to play the chalk around it because you unlock the keys with unique Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. Yeah, very sick build, like the chat said.

47:21

And obviously in like the smaller, like $5,000 or less in a field, I think is really where this can play out even better, because when you over stack it like this with both Wandale and Helm and then you're able to fit it all in there. But again, using the Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up differently, we talked about the slice and dice yesterday. It only got to about eleven and a half here on Pittsburgh.

47:38

A lot more were on the where's if I can find if he played any of them. I don't know if he did. Buccaneers. He kind of, you know, twenty nine, thirty six, twenty five with though he played some of the lower owned ones that way. $2,300 instead of taking Denver, he took Miami down there. And again, not like that worked out. I'm just saying in general, just thinking about how you played the five lineups. We have very sick build.

47:59

Overall and this I mean the rabbit hole at dfsos.com I don't have too much else to add here because like it's very similar lineup you see a couple swaps but this is a Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Read the full definition of Single-Entry a lot of people could put together I would think about the field size that you're in which he did obviously still still good enough though when you have that big of a output to get the second in the millimaker so having it in the twenty makes sense as well but one thing that's crazy so you know I don't know like you said that him her they am noob but if you go to like player profiles And then you type it in.

48:29

I'm just putting the first three letters. It auto pops up. You can go back and see that. Okay. Yesterday was obviously a huge day, but they'd won before in NFL. Again, it's only tracked through $2,000 twenty. It's not all the data, all this, all these other sites saying like, oh, I checked on here and so and so won a few bucks before, but not sure. You know, it looks like the first time they've ever done anything really crazy. It's like no one has the real data.

48:49

So just be happy for what you can find and see it. But for all of it. But no one has more information. Then this side, I know that. So I went back and you could see like sort by winnings. All of this is from yesterday. You see $11,100.

49:01

So, you know, there was like some ten case here, some four case there, like been grinding and playing some of these tournaments, but not anything crazy, not overly, you know, a lot, not like putting in a lot of lineups or anything, but you can go right back and see. And I think it was twenty twenty two. I found it. It was the mega tournament. For three Oh four. And you can pull it right up and even see it.

49:22

And this was one lineup and it was a chop for first. So in twenty twenty two had chopped a Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. But to get the whole thing done and one point seven and a live final seat, just an awesome, awesome story. So October eighteenth, October eighteenth, he shipped. It looks like the hundred dollar single entry in the afternoon SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. So looks like a one to five, five entry max player, right?

49:47

So for everyone out there playing one to five teams, which is probably the majority of you watching this, right? Like this is probably a good Person to look, right? He's playing at the highest stakes, the luxury box, those, but it's not the stakes, it's The FieldThe field is everyone else entered in a contest, the group of lineups you are competing against. Before you build, picture the typical lineup in your contest. It's about the fields that and the lineups that they're building against those kind of fields that you can extrapolate out into your process in your portfolio and looking find a player. Right? Look at these guys that are the, these players that are winning a similar style that you play, analyze what they're doing and take piece by piece and try and fold it into your portfolio. See how it works, see how it can help you.

50:51

Um, continue to get better I know I spent a bunch of time earlier this year main slates have historically been very bad for me and ever since I've kind of took a took an extra step up this year to really look at and improve my main SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate process I I've now had four profitable weeks in a row with knocking on the door at takedowns right there in position and without putting in the time I would have just kept doing the same thing over again expecting a different result which is just the the straight definition of insanity right so it doesn't take hours upon hours it's just putting a

51:25

Little extra time in instead of blaming whatever site or whatever show you listen to all those guys told me to play this this and that it didn't work out and that's kind of you you go in you deposit again and you play again you listen to this show the next time because these guys might have a better take than the other guys right like that that's not going to get you anywhere someone said this, I never even used this, but you can analyze the play style.

51:48

Somebody said, a Bizzle said the play style analysis is awesome. Tell me what's awesome about it. Cause I love the feedback and I just like to, you know, know what I can use this for, but I'm not, you know, as in depth and all this stuff, obviously Josh is the owner.

52:02

He shows it all off to say, and I don't, maybe that one's not connected right now, but if you go to SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate review, one thing I would like is I wanted to be able to see, like, if I want to see giant squid, it pops up. I want like a back button.

52:15

Right I don't when I go when I am like whenever I'm done with this stuff and x out the only thing to do is go back to slate review back to let it load back to wait for it then get back it's not that hard or difficult I'm just wondering if there's a way that it could like pop up on screen use it pop out be right back but overall um a lot of killers at the top yesterday so shout out to m noob got the job done but bk bone awesome uh breeze production amazing You know, Giant Squid always all over the place.

52:41

Shout out to Giant Squid, Zoken, Coach, Lavertical, Need Lynch Mooney, all these guys that are always up here. So you love to see, I think, T.R.T.J., ZedDollars, Sixteen, Bates, The Goat. Like all these guys have been around for a long time. CC Mays, like these guys are all playing at the highest level.

52:56

So when you go in and, you know, sort of like Nate said, you want to find someone that maybe is playing more your style or the amount of lineups. Like I'm always curious about how they would play it if they had two to a mega or something like that, and I'd be able to see it. Let's see. They said you might need to refresh it. So go to Analyze Play Style. I'm having issues too.

53:17

I've gone into it, but basically you can kind of pull up anyone and see historically how they play, how they handle the flex and stuff like that. You can do it yourself, but that helps. I mean, I've used AI to kind of pull that and analyze that way just from a much larger scale to add additional context. But yeah, the Analyze Play Style is nice. I think you get more...

53:41

Um more benefits from going in and finding similar players to to you and looking at the contest and clicking through like we just did with rio's portfolio and uh m noob's portfolio in general and looking at like that like the the defense flex cheap tight end flex flip that kind of stuff is kind of how you can extrapolate out some uh process oriented um discovery yeah I'm not the best with this so I was trying to see something but maybe You can search it as that.

54:10

I don't know. Like I said, you guys got to play around with it. Josh is here. I love that about Josh. He's always in trying to help us out and take the feedback. He says, love this show. It shows exactly what DFSOS was built for and the site has gotten better based on feedback directly from the show. Keep the feedback coming and the tools will keep getting better. Yeah. Thank you, Josh. Like I said, anything like that is great.

54:28

Obviously last week we had said we wish you could show us um, salaries on this stuff. And right away he went back out and got us the salaries in the top right corner. So you can see all of that type of stuff. So I think it's good. Maybe we'll get opponent on there so that we can see, like, we know, we know that Harold Vannon jr played Pittsburgh yesterday, but if you're looking at it at quick glance, you might not know.

54:50

Let me see if it does pull this up now for Rio. It does pull him there. I didn't know how to get it from here to get it to low, but it just says analyzing him across twenty seven contests. Max's salary only in thirty nine point five percent, usually around two to two point seven chalk per lineup. And I'm sure there is a. Breakdown of what means what somewhere like what is chalk considered exactly.

55:15

Yeah, chalk and exposure and kind of that that middle box on the right is kind of talking through it.

55:25

Yeah yeah way more to find anywhere else I know that much and it's just organized in a much better way so I enjoy it like I said that's the cool part it's meant to be uh it stands for DFS or daily fantasy sports operating system so the idea is like it's all right here you've got your own custom dashboard you can do slate review I mostly use slate review um the news I love like when we're looking for stuff tonight like what is the you know Charbonnet Let's just play Chark.

55:50

So, you know, one day ago was Charbonnet, Jadarian Price, no game designation. We'll be using this this afternoon and go through that. And if we can get any more news, we'll figure it out. It auto populates as we go across all different sports. I kind of have it open for that all the time. We like looking at the Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. After games, it uses actual scores; before games, a projected optimal uses estimated scores and any lineup restrictions you set. When reviewing an optimal, replace its most surprising scorer with a realistic pregame alternative. Check whether the remaining construction still offered a credible path to winning your contest.Read the full definition of Optimal Lineup, the player portfolios. There's a Bankroll ManagementBankroll management is how you size your DFS spending relative to the money you have set aside to play, called your bankroll, so normal losing streaks do not wipe you out.Write down your per-slate limit before the season starts. Spending rules are much easier to keep when you set them before a losing streak, not during one.Read the full definition of Bankroll Management tracker, even like the weather.

56:09

I know it's only for certain sports that you can use it, but being able to see the stadium and like what we're seeing from that, the hourly forecasts, all that, it's all in one place.

56:17

So yeah, to me there's a contest vault is really nice too um yeah the contest vault it's it's not updated like it's takes a couple days for the contest to load in there but you can see like some Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Read the full definition of Showdown stuff in there and that like shows you even more in depth of like field analysis how many of the especially for like showdown how much of the field was duped right and how many dupes there were so going in and like what the perfect what the top Optimal LineupAn optimal lineup is a legal roster that maximizes fantasy points under the salary cap and roster rules. After games, it uses actual scores; before games, a projected optimal uses estimated scores and any lineup restrictions you set. When reviewing an optimal, replace its most surprising scorer with a realistic pregame alternative. Check whether the remaining construction still offered a credible path to winning your contest.Read the full definition of Optimal Lineup were what the four two three three five one splits were for for the field what How many identical entries, right?

56:49

So like one dupe, there was only $5,000 of the field of the $73,000 that had one or Duplicate LineupsDuplicate lineups are entries in the same DFS contest with identical player selections and scoring assignments, including any multiplier positions. In standard cash-prize tournaments, these entries tie and share the combined prizes for the places they occupy.Use the actual prize table to calculate your payout in a first-place tie with two, five or ten entries. Compare those outcomes before choosing between similarly strong builds.Read the full definition of Duplicate Lineups. Look at I mean, look at twenty eight dupes, a thousand entrants had twenty eight dupes or more. Right. So like things like that, you can look in, you can look at the field analysis. Right. And see, OK, Dak Prescott, his OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership, how many of the entries had him and that and that.

57:12

Just look through more and more stuff in there in a easier kind of digestible way than clicking through individual like they do on the the slate review tab. So I think this is a pretty interesting point as well here. And you can search right by usernames, right? So you can type in any username, any salary, all things right right here on this page. Wasn't Dallas Philly the other night? Yeah, it takes a couple nights. This was from the twenty six. So I don't know.

57:38

Maybe Josh can answer how long it takes for the contest to go into the vault. But none of the main slate stuff from this weekend was in the vault yet. Yeah, that's important. I'm noticing something now. I'm getting a little echo on your side there, Nades. But just to note it, Empire Maker is back in the streets. That's crazy. I never seen that for a long time. And this is from the other night.

57:59

I didn't mean like in a bad way that it's only from the other night. Like you said, it's going to take some time to update. But I remember the $200,000 split the other night, that little chop at the end. But Empire Maker back in the mix. Wow. OK, I haven't seen that. Click into those names table. You can it pulls up their sharp study of those individual players. See how many lineups they had and what their exposures were worth the field.

58:19

Sixteen entries. You know what his cash winnings were. He played three twenty. Got back this like, yeah, it's kind of.

58:27

Crazy you can see all this stuff in one place that's nice definitely very cool and it looks like you can go even more in depth with it but like you said you know field analysis what their ownership was all observed entries the role ownership the captains things like that man like you can just keep going here there's just so much and then construction and optimal could see how many people played the four twos the three threes the five ones you can see the top optimal top five optimal lineups from the night it looks like yeah somebody got to the house with the top this was the um the one five night for $200,000 each that's what it was mckay lemon and then five um five

59:06

Of the Cowboys Flex and UTILA standard NFL FLEX accepts a running back, wide receiver or tight end. In DraftKings NFL Showdown, FLEX instead means a regular-scoring slot alongside Captain, with broader eligibility that includes quarterbacks. Before lock, identify affordable replacements for your latest starter. 59:11

These duplicate counts thousand people there's what you're talking about right a thousand people played twenty eight yeah right there and then like even the lineup that took third right like seventy one way chop for uh the the lineup

59:25

Empire maker had um seventy one exact duplicates of that so just like kind of looking at how those duplicates can get get involved um and how you can kind of LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Read the full definition of Leverage that right it's not about the the individual game and the individual plays it's it's more of I pull out like that process oriented here right because like I'm continuing showdowns like a really fun game it's just been very ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Read the full definition of Chalk this year obviously that I mean like sixty one percent uh of the top one point one percent lineups that have been duplicated at like twenty plus times um so it's like looking on on those ways of like little slip uh little flips and you can see like directly right they they flip the the kicker um I believe um or

1:00:07

Yeah, they added Dallas Goedert in there instead of going to Florida. Right. So to make it a one five, things like that. Right. So. Yeah, so much data in here. Just an incredible site. I mean, thirty dollars a day, like thirty dollars a month, like a dollar a day to have all this data. Like this is this. I make the analogy all the time. This would be like going up to showing up to the Super Bowl.

1:00:32

So on up to the World Series, whatever big sporting event, walking over to the other dugout, the other sideline, handing the coach your playbook and saying, hey, this is our play. This is our scripted fifteen plays to start out the game. Here you go. Right. Like this is how we're going to play. So, I mean, there's nothing else like it in the industry.

1:00:47
