150-Max

What Is 150-Max in DFS?

Last updated October 10, 2026 by Ship It Nation

A 150-max DFS contest allows you to submit up to 150 entries into that contest, paying the entry fee for each. Max entering means using every allowed entry, whether the contest limit is 150 or a smaller number.

Why It Matters

The entry cap limits your opportunities, not the total field size or the quality of your opponents. More entries let you cover more outcomes, but they also increase your cost and can lose together when they share players. Evaluate the field, payout structure and your lineup quality rather than assuming you must fill every slot.

Example

Say an NFL tournament has 30,000 entries, a $5 entry fee and a 150-entry limit per person. You submit six lineups for $30, while another player submits 150 for $750. Each lineup is scored separately against the same field. Your opponent has more chances to finish first, but pays 25 times as much and is not guaranteed a profit.

Pro tip

Multiply the entry fee by your planned entry count before building. If you cannot justify additional lineups on their own merits, leave the remaining entries unused.

Common Questions

Can you enter one lineup in a 150-max DFS contest?

Yes. The limit is a ceiling, not a minimum, and your lineup competes under the same scoring rules as every other entry. Whether it is a good choice depends on the field size, payout structure, entry fee and competition, not simply how many lineups you enter.

Does MME mean entering exactly 150 lineups?

No. MME means mass multi-entry, an approach using many entries in a contest, without a universal numerical threshold. Max entering specifically means filling that contest's allowance. You can use an MME approach without submitting all 150 entries, and max entering a three-max contest is not normally called MME.

Does entering all 150 lineups improve your chances of winning?

More distinct lineups can increase your chance of having a top finisher, but they do not guarantee profit or improve each lineup's quality. You pay for every entry, and overlapping player selections make results connected. A larger set can therefore produce a larger loss when shared selections fail.
