Matthew Belman and Ryan Davenport approach Week 5 with Detroit-Arizona leading the slate and enough strong running backs to avoid forcing contrarian plays. Jahmyr Gibbs ($9,800) remains the top expensive back, with Swift, Allen and Warren offering strong alternatives. Jeanty being active pushes Mike Washington toward 150-max consideration only. Goff and Brissett lead at quarterback, while Bagent, Love and Maye offer alternatives; McCaffrey and Chase are expensive tournament pivots.
Jameson Williams offers lower ownership within the popular Detroit game, and a full Lions onslaught without an Arizona bring-back is another construction discussed. Brock Bowers is the favorite tight end call, with Kraft and LaPorta also appealing. JSN stands out outside full Detroit-Arizona stacks, while Concepcion offers a cheap alternative to Trey Harris. Houston is the preferred expensive defense; Indianapolis and San Francisco provide cheaper options. Ollie Gordon is reserved for larger tournament portfolios.
| Play | Call | The Take | At |
|---|---|---|---|
| VALUE | At $5,500, his projection and concentrated targets without Marvin Harrison Jr. make him one of the strongest quarterback options despite heavy ownership. | 5:32 | |
| Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase + Tee Higgins | IN PLAY | Burrow has tournament appeal with both receivers available, although Miami's ability to keep the game competitive is a concern. | 5:32 |
| VALUE | At $4,700, he is a cheaper alternative to Brissett after moving the ball effectively last week while Chicago scored its touchdowns on the ground. | 8:14 | |
| Drake Maye + One Pass Catcher | IN PLAY | A skinny stack is appealing despite the expensive quarterback salary, with Maye viewed as capable of matching Goff and Brissett. | 8:44 |
| Jordan Love + Packers Pass Catchers | IN PLAY | Love stacks are appealing with targets expected to concentrate around Matthew Golden, Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft. | 9:28 |
| There is mild interest in a low-owned ceiling game if Houston overwhelms Tennessee, but conviction remains limited. | 9:56 | ||
| The hosts were split on a cheap rushing-upside one-off, with limited passing volume the objection and Bagent preferred. | 10:51 | ||
| CORE | Existing Warren builds benefit from Rico Dowdle being inactive, leaving a standout back with receiving work and control of the backfield. | 11:35 | |
| UNDERWEIGHT | With Jeanty active, exposure is limited to possible 150-max builds rather than single-entry, three-max or twenty-max because stronger backs occupy the available slots. | 14:22 | |
| PAY UP | The $9,800 DraftKings and $10,000 FanDuel salaries are justified by the slate's best running back ceiling and enough available value to afford him. | 16:02 |
Let's go. Clear your lift off. What is going on, Ship It Nation YouTube station? We are back with another edition of the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ Construction Show. I was talking to my guy a little bit pre-show. Uh-oh. Oh, before the show, almost a pick. Sorry about that. Matt, hey, before I bring you in, man, it's a busy day in Chicago today, but who is the busiest man in Chicago this morning?
Man, hopefully someone from the Guardians, because that's not, it wouldn't be in Chicago, but no, I don't read where you're going with this. I don't. The busiest man in Chicago is that White Sox equipment manager. Hey, Murakami, turn your shit in. Hey, turn your shit in. It is the season over. The Guardians of the Dead. My boy Matt was on one last night. I could imagine it was rocking and rolling. J-Ram hit a freaking nine iron off the dirt into the right field wall.
So congrats to Matt. Congrats to the Guardians for coming back with that. I did read what you were putting down. I just couldn't get all the way there. You're almost there. Yeah, you're almost there. You're a little bit smarter than me, so I couldn't get all the way there. But, yes, appreciate that. What a run. What a comeback for the guards in that series. And we're excited to take on Tampa in round ALCS. Taking on Tampa.
Then I know my boy Newman's and Nate's entitled. All happy for that other one as well. So, yeah, but this is an NFL show. We're going to get right into it. Sean Sully. Says that Genting being in is ready to rule in his bill. So, yeah, so if you get that news, you should get it any second now. Genting in, Genting out, that's kind of the talk of the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It doesn't make much sense to get ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ today. There are so many good running back options with no Menunga, with no Dowdle, with no – well, Genting's up in the air. Who else am I missing? No breeze at all. From running back. From running back. No Brees Hall. You got Gibbs in like the best spot possible, and he's just a monster as is. You know, Emmanuel Wilson still looming. So just good running back plays all over the board.
It's like one of those SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Full explanation ↗ where you can play the lesser owned of the good running backs, but getting too far off the board might not make too much sense. Yeah, I mean, I've been building lineups all day yesterday, all day today, and it just keeps coming back to the same people. I feel like the Trey Harris's of the world. Now you got Kendrick Bourne cheap on both sites that we'll get into. You got JSN who people can maybe or may not get to.
So looking forward to breaking it all down, talking about some ways, contrarian ways to get there. Got that mega milli over on DraftKings today. Obviously have the standard twenty dollar milli as well. What you're seeing on my screen, is the Stone 2.0 point. I'm going to go ahead and sort it by position by position. We'll go quarterback position today. And sounds like the Bengals going to have some good news, Matt. You got T Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase in, and that's obviously a receiver.
So Joe Burrow, who's the most expensive quarterback on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Full explanation ↗. He's not going to get owned. Talk to me. How are you handling quarterback today, especially with golf and Brissett in the action? Yeah, man. I mean, not even talking about golf himself, just preset alone looks like one of the best quarterback plays that will have on paper all year from a, you know, ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Full explanation ↗ optimal standpoint. Um, you know, the problem is that with that comes OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗.
So, it's hard not to like start every position with talking about that game. Cause that's just, you know, the elephant in the room. And I do think that if you're playing one lineup, you know, the reason you don't play one of the quarterbacks from that game is for ownership. And that's really, I mean, certainly things can play out differently, but on paper, I don't think there's a quarterback that matches up to either of those guys. Goff looks really good. He's been really good this year.
His defense is awful. So they're continuing to have to push the ball down the field. And then percent, I mean, we've just read this book over and over again. Last year was optimal. What? Like ten straight weeks. Same situation as golf. The defense isn't very good, and he's proven that he's good enough to push the ball down the field. Consolidated, even more consolidated now with no Martin Harrison. When you start talking about quarterbacks, you have to start with these two guys.
After that, I think for me, it's talking about the guys in the Chicago Green Bay game. You know, that's the game with the second highest total on the slate. I think things could potentially get weirder there. And I like both those guys. After that, I do think someone like Joe Burrow has a definite role on this slate just because of his upside on any given week. Miami isn't good.
It hasn't worked out using pieces against Miami a ton because their offense hasn't really been able to fight back. But it's Cincy with presumably Chase and Higgins. So I could get on board with Burrow here. After that, I mean, I think you're just making ownership cases. How do you see it? Yeah, I mean, look, you got $5,500 for Jacobs is going to mean it's a great spot. I want to come back to something there.
Golf is like you said, golf has been good. We get golf in a dome. We get another defense. It's not very good. And in my opinion, his collective weapons between Gibbs and. Amin Ra, Jamo LaPorta outweigh basically McBride and Wilson. So I would love to find ways to get the golf over Brissett.
And what I was going to ask you, Matt, and I didn't look too much into it, like what if the Lions, let's say, get up twenty four to nothing at halftime or something crazy like that? Like who's to say that the that the Cardinals wouldn't put in one of their backup quarterback, the rookie from Miami? Like, is that even a possibility? I mean, I guess if they get down, like, massively. But I wouldn't say twenty-four-nothing.
And I don't project them to get down that big because Detroit's defense is so bad. But... I mean, yeah, no, that's not in my, I'm not accounting for that at all. Is that possible? Like in any game? Sure. You know, especially with a team that's not good, young quarterback, more Likely there than for, you know, the Saints. Cause you know, they're already starting a young guy. So I get your point, but just not something I'm factoring in.
The next batch of quarterbacks I want to touch on is that Packers game, Jordan Love, who I have some interest in, Drake May, who I have some interest in. To me, those two kind of lead the way, and you can see their ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Full explanation ↗. They're going to be, I'll call them, I'll put in quotation marks, popular. They're not going to be anywhere near as popular as Goff and Brissett, and maybe they're a cut below.
But how do you factor in, I'll say, this tier two list of quarterbacks as it pertains to May, Love, and then anybody else you want to put in there? I do think that my tier two is Love and then Bagent from that Chicago-Green Bay game. Badgent looked good last week.
You've got, you know, maybe one of, if not the best play caller in the NFL in Ben Johnson calling plays for him in a game that I think has pace, that Green Bay is at least competitive in, if not win this game. Badgent could have had a much bigger game last week. They ran in all their touchdowns from the red zone. He was... Picking the Jets apart. And I wouldn't have been shocked if he had three touchdowns last week, ended with zero.
He's still dirt cheap. I think he's like the clear PivotA pivot in DFS is an alternative player or lineup combination you choose instead of another option. Tournament pivots usually seek comparable scoring upside at lower ownership, meaning fewer competing lineups use them. Before swapping, check what the replacement changes around it: your remaining salary, teammates, opposing players and available later-starting options.Full explanation ↗ off of Brissett. He's even cheaper. And you get there certainly, you know, if you play the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Full explanation ↗ out a hundred times, I don't know. I mean, Badgen beats Brissett like at least twenty five of them. I mean, I don't even know the number, but I would start there. How do you see it? Yeah, I don't have – I definitely like your point, and I certainly get it. $4,700, that's dirt cheap.
You're going to pair them with two, I'd say, cheap receivers as well. I'd imagine at least one. But for me, it's Drake May. Drake May leads the way. Like, I think Drake May – I think Drake May could rival Brissett and Goff. He is expensive, so I get that. But I do like me some Drake May today. Drake May skinnies, maybe with one. You were all over him last week, too, so that makes sense. Yeah, I like Drake May.
I think, you know, I think they probably turn the corner. They're only three and a half point favorites, too, which I think is a little low, especially them coming across and Kirk Cousins being the quarterback. But I get it. You know, Gonzalez and and what Davis are out that both both corners are out. So I really like Drake May today. I really like Jordan Love today, kind of on the other side of that.
Of that Beijing man and agents is super cheap. But I like Jordan Love like both of his receivers. We know where the ball's going. We know it's going to Golden we know it's going to we know it's going to Watson and we know it's going to I'm drawing a blank on the tight end. Craft yet and I love Tucker Kraft today. But so I like Jordan Love today like Drake may and really honestly, Like, I'm cutting it off after that.
Like, I don't see anybody down there – I mean, talk me into something. Bo Nix, Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy. I mean, do any of those guys kind of stick out to you that could potentially, you know, break the slate? The only guy down there that I have, like, mild interest in – because I'm with you. Like, I just don't really see the need to get that different here – is CJ Stroud, just because I could really see Houston pounding Tennessee here. I don't feel great about it.
They're oh and four, obviously. Tennessee's oh and four. Houston's a good oh and four. I could see them just pounding Tennessee, and Stroud been good. I mean, when he has Nico Collins – We saw that connection last week. He won't get any OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗, and I don't love it. But, again, I do think that basically everyone else you're just making ownership cases for. I guess the other guy, and just talking this out, would be Malik Willis. Talked about Burrow a little bit ago.
He's the other side of that. He's dirt cheap. I mean, four to six hundred, obviously no A-chan. If he runs two in, and Miami's more competitive in this game than the field thinks, I mean, he's – I think he looks – I'd rather play Bagent because I like that game more, but as like a One-OffIn NFL DFS, a one-off is a player you select outside your stacks, commonly a running back or a receiver without his quarterback. An opposing receiver intentionally paired with your stack instead serves as a bring-back.Before adding a one-off, compare him with an affordable teammate of your existing stack. Decide whether his individual upside is worth passing up that extra scoring connection.Full explanation ↗ play, I think Willis looks good. Yeah. Yeah. I don't love it. They don't, they don't pass it enough for me.
I mean, I think, yeah, I mean possibly, but yeah, I'm with you, Bajan. You taught me into Bajan, Bajan, whatever he's, whatever his name is. He's, he's pretty good. And like you said, I mean, I had a lot of that Bears game last week. So that makes sense that all those touchdowns went on the ground. I'm a nun guy. If those go to Bajan, then, then yeah, he's really popping off the page. Now, anything else, anybody else that you want to touch on?
You good to move over and running backs. I think we can move on many more. We're good running back plays. I think. Yeah, moving on to running backs, and I saw the notes in the chat. I'm going to come over there to it here in a second. You see Dowdle is inactive. That's good for my Jalen Warren teams. And then you also have Jeanty is active.
So, Matt, the way I look at this, and I may be playing a little bit different than most, you look at Mike Washington, who – You know, it was, I'm going to call him a must play at $4,200 bucks over on DraftKings. $4,900. Like to me, like, let's just start there is even with Gentian, you know, he's beat up. Is Mike Washington still viable to you at $4,200 bucks?
Are you saying with Gentian, there's just no way I could get to him? I think he's definitely viable. I mean, definitely viable. I'm a fan of his talent. Yeah. Like he, I don't, I don't want to go too far with it, but like Gentee is disappointing in my opinion. And I think Washington is good and not going to be surprised at all with Gentee's if he status today that he works in more, the hard part of it is there's so many good running back plays.
Like you need a good score from him. It doesn't matter that he's $4,200. You know what I mean? Like you need him to beat Braylon Allen and Jalen Warren. You can only play three running backs and there's some really good ones. Swift Gibbs, you know, so. I think he's definitely in play, but. You know, I see new and saying now he's a must fade. Like, I don't think he's going to be owned.
You know, if he ends up being owned because he got steamed this morning, because people thought Gentry would be out, then I would say FadeTo fade a player is to leave him out of your lineups on purpose, usually because you expect him to be popular or you think he is a poor play.Fade with a reason, not a feeling. If you can't say why a popular player will disappoint, you're probably just giving away points.Full explanation ↗ him. It's an interesting call. I mean, it really OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ dependent. You know what I mean? Yeah. I mean, anything is possible to me. It's like, Yeah, I liked what you said. They're going to have to work Washington in more. But to your point, like, is that more going from five carries to eight carries, ten carries?
And that's not going to beat the Warren, the Swift, obviously the Gibbs. Like, you've got to put – how many points does he have to put up, Matt, for you to feel comfortable? Eighteen. Eighteen? Is that what you said? I mean, around there? Yeah. Yeah. Don't you think so? Do you have a different number? I mean, yeah, no, no, no. I was going to say fifteen, you know, to be competitive. Yeah.
I wouldn't like be I wouldn't like think my lineups are dead if you told me he had fifteen, but I also wouldn't be rushing to play him. Yeah, I don't think so either. Like, I mean, he could have, theoretically, he could have twelve carries, average six yards of carry, and he's going to get you seven point two points if he obviously doesn't have any catches or touchdowns. Like, you don't need that.
You almost kind of need him to be that full workhorse, you know, today, don't you? Just because of all the other stuff. I don't know, man. I'm I mean, one fifty, I would say yes, but Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Full explanation ↗, Three-MaxA three-max contest lets each user enter up to three lineups. It is a small step up from single-entry.Give each of your three lineups a clear role. Make sure they differ in at least one major decision, like the main stack or the most expensive player.Full explanation ↗, even twenty entry. I'm probably not getting any. What about you? I agree with that. I agree with all that. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think he can get to eighteen. If I did, I would play him.
But eighteen is going to be tough with Genti in there. So, yeah. All right. So we spent enough time on we spent enough time on him. Now let's spend some time on the big boys. Obviously got Jameer Gibbs. $9,800. $10,000 over on FanDuel. How are you playing Gibbs, Matt? He's in a, he's in a great spot. He's their best player, obviously. And, you know, Lions have to win this game.
Like this is a game that they got to win to keep their season kind of going. I mean, I know it's October and now Michaels is going to tell you there's no must win games in October, but how are you, how are you handling Gibbs today? It's funny with Washington, like not really in play anymore. It's, hurtful to Gibbs because that $4,200 price tag helped with Gibbs, but also made it really hard because you can only play three running backs.
So now you take Washington out. That's another spot where you can conceivably play Gibbs. I mean, Gibbs to me coming off his worst week, maybe of the year, the worst week of the year so far for him. Seventeen DK points. I think he bounces back in a big way. I mean, I want Gibbs here. There's good running back plays on this SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Full explanation ↗, so I don't think you have to play him. But even with all the good running back plays, I think he's the best.
I mean, he's just the best. He's the top commodity in fantasy right now. You're paying for it, but there's enough value on this slate to get there. I like Gibbs a lot. I don't think he's like you have to play him, but I also think he's a definite fate at your own risk in all formats. Yeah, fade at your own risk for sure. Let's move on to some of the other ones that are going to be popular. DeAndre Swift. I really like DeAndre Swift today.
No Tyler Menunga. If he can hold on to the football, he's going to get twenty plus carries in this game. Roshon Johnson is going to mix in as well. But Swift is clearly the lead back. And if you know anything about Ben Johnson, he wants to pound that ball into the belly of his running back. So give me some Swift. $6,200. $6,500 on FanDuel. Great price. Braylon Allen. Me and you were all over Braylon Allen last week.
And Matt, to me, that was just like a. Like a, you know, happenstance of the game. They ran, I think like thirty two something plays, but talk a little bit about Braylon Allen. The Bears had more first downs and the Jets had plays wrong last week. So that was just like you said, a victim of circumstance. I'm right back to Braylon Allen here. I mean, he was the one piece that actually didn't look bad last week.
I think this is a big trap game for the Browns. I hope the Browns win this game, but. I think the Jets kind of reset everything after that awful performance last week, and Braylon Allen's the guy for them. So I'm with you. I'm right back in on Allen. No Mike Washington makes me feel much better about him. No Mason Graham, no Mike Hall for the Browns either. So two, I would say, that are better defensive linemen are out. I mean, yeah.
Mason Graham having a monster start to the year, and Mike Hall was a second-round pick two years ago. Yeah, it's massive. So I'm with you. Really good spot for Braylon Allen. Yeah, Braylon Allen looks good. Some other ones, Aaron Jones is going to get some love. If anybody watched that game on Monday night, just ground and pound. And there was a report that came out like a couple minutes ago or while we started the show that there's a sickness going through the Saints locker room.
So maybe that makes the Vikings a little more appealing. Yeah. So talk to me a little bit about Aaron, Aaron Jones, Jalen Warren. I love Jalen Warren today. $6,700 on both sides. Catch passes, catches, catch dump dump offs. If someone could update us on the on the weather in Pittsburgh, that'd be great. But Jalen Warren and Aaron Jones, talk to me about those two. Sixty five and $6,700 for Warren. Yeah, I like Warren a lot here.
I like him more than Jones. Jones' price tag is just a little bit too high for me. I mean, he's getting all the work, but that offense just is uninspiring. I think the Saints play an inspired game here after getting embarrassed. So I don't love the Minnesota offense here. Warren, even against the Browns, you saw it. I mean, he is just electric.
And when he gets all the work in that backfield, like there's no reason he should be splitting work with Rico Dowdle, but he is. Dowdle's out. It's the Warren show. He, I think there's like a few standout running backs on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. I don't really want to play Roger stacks. So I don't know how to answer that question. If I were playing Roger stacks. Yes. Yeah.
Yeah. Tambo talked about it on LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ line yesterday a little bit. I mean, Rogers has been I'll call it better this year just because he's firing the ball all over the place, close to three hundred yards in multiple games. I'm not on Rogers tax either because of the weather and because he's Aaron Rogers at this point in his career. But I love me some Jalen Warren today. Kind of the next tier, Ashton Gentry I'm not getting to. I've seen a lot of Quentin Junkins.
I shouldn't say a lot. People talking about Quentin Junkins. I'm sorry, Quinshawn Junkins. I'm off him. And then I want to talk a little bit about Emmanuel Wilson. $5,300, still their lead dog. I'm not going to call it a great matchup. I actually like this forty-Niners defense a little bit today. But Emmanuel Wilson had a really good catch and run last week, got into the end zone. I mentioned that earlier in the show, George Alani is questionable. So talk to me a little bit.
I'm a $5,300 Emmanuel Wilson. Yeah, I think he belongs in that group also was really good last week. I'm worried a little bit about chasing that and I don't love the spot, but man, he's cheap and I don't think he gets as much love as some of the other guys we're talking about. So I don't like him quite as much, but I do think you get an OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. But he's wide receiver one, wide receiver two, close up there with, With Evans and Kittle. So I think he catches a bunch of passes today. I think he gets it on the ground. I think Kalen Black gets about ten to fifteen snaps. I think it's the CMC show. So I love CMC and GPPs. And the other one that I really like in GPPs, Matt, it's gross. So be ready for it. He's also $5,300.
$6,100 over on FanDuel. Your boy, former Mr. Doak Walk Award winner, Ollie Gordon II. And let me tell you why I like Ollie. Ollie basically took over that backfield last week, played every snap but two. There wasn't many. Every snap but two had nine of eleven running back snaps.
I think Ollie Gordon today, A, goes over fifty yards rushing and potentially in what this is like a one fifty type play, Matt, you know, could could get one hundred and two and And, you know, be somewhere on the winner. Any interest in McCaffrey and or Gordon or any other running backs you want to touch on? I like the McCaffrey call a lot. It's just hard to get there, man, because you're eating a running back spot and salary.
And, like, you're taking it away from Gibbs or whoever. To that point, people aren't going to want to do that. So, yeah, I love it in tournaments. Ali, man, I feel like I'm higher than most on Ali in general. But it's just, again, tough for me to get there this week. But your points remain high. Fair. And then one fifty settings. Yeah, I'm about it. Like if I'm playing one lineup, I don't know how in the world I can click that name.
Right. Yeah. Some of the guys we've talked about. And I feel you feel the same way. But like getting ExposureExposure is the percentage of your lineups in a contest, or across a slate, that include a particular player, team or stack.Set exposure caps before you build, not after. You talked about he's getting almost all the work. Jalen Wright is either banged up or out. And he's banged up, too. Yep. That's yeah. That's a factor. Yeah. So I'm with you.
Like, I love the call one fifty settings just because, you know, we talk about and we mean you feel like I think we're on the same page here. We're like, clearly, the guys in the Detroit game are the best plays on paper and we don't dispute that. But we play an ownership game. So a lot of these other guys look OK, just for getting different purposes. Yeah.
Let me ask you about two guys running back in that other game that we haven't even mentioned. I haven't heard anybody in the industry really mentioned to me. There's Chase Brown. Any love for Chase Brown? With the two wide receivers back, I think he'll obviously be super low on, but any love for Chase Brown, $6,900. Yeah, I like him. I do feel like I've seen him getting a lot of steam, and maybe that was when the receiver projected out, caught ten balls last week.
Their running game has been non-existent. So part of me is like I think they try to make a concerted effort to get that going today. But on the other hand, it's awful, and they got elite wide receivers and an elite quarterback. So I'm a little bit torn on Chase Brown. I don't want to go out of my way to get him, but I don't think he's a bad play. And then the last one I want to touch on real quick. Jeremiah Love hurt everybody last week.
He's only $6,100. He's another guy in that team in that in that game. No one's going to play super way to get different off of Wilson, off of McBride, somebody like that. What about my boy, Jeremiah Love? Yeah, I thought about him a bunch. Interesting. I mean, the tournament side of me loves that call. The ball knower side of me is like, man. He's getting taken off the field for Algier. He's not cheap.
And there's ten running back plays I like more than him. So I get both sides of it. You know what I mean? Yep. Yeah. I mean, you know, it was twenty one to two in terms of carries, I think, two weeks ago against the Chargers or wherever they played two or three weeks ago. Yeah. If it was something like that. Yeah, I would be all over him. But I mean, after what happened last week, it's tough to go. It's tough to go back to him.
Any other running backs you want to touch on? Can we move to wide receiver? Yeah, let's move to wide out. Yeah, let's move to another position that I'm looking forward to talking about. JSN, Amon Ra, Michael Wilson going to soak up a lot of the ownership. Like you said earlier, with no Washington, makes it a lot tougher to jam in Gibbs and JSN. So interested to hear how you're going to handle that, if that's even viable. Talk to me.
I'm going to call them because they're the highest down. Talk to me about JSN, Amon Ra, and Michael Wilson. Yeah, Michael Wilson and Amon Ra. I mean, just insert pieces from that game here, right? Like Michael Wilson is clearly Brissette's number one wide out target, you know, with McBride. No Martin Harrison. He looks elite. He's not even priced like a true number, like wide out one.
Amon Ra, I mean, especially if you're not playing Gibbs, I think playing them both together might be a little bit ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. JSN, I mean, I love Ja'Marr Chase, but he's the best wideout in football and he's coming off his worst game of the year. So kind of like Gibbs, you don't expect that to continue. Big time game against Sam Fran here.

So he's not even in like in the same tier as him in terms of price. But, you know, he's going to get a lot of targets. We've seen that time and time again.
They just or they deactivated Harrison for this one. So I think his his ownership shoots up. At that price, you can fit a lot of other pieces in. Let's talk about some of the other, I'll call them higher-priced receivers that not a lot of people are playing. Chris Alave, all he does is just have hundred-yard performances. Had another one the other night. He's looking very nice, but in a dome against his Vikings team. Nico Collins, you had a little interest in Stroud.
And then Justin Jefferson coming back to the boot. He is playing and out of his boot, $7,300. And I'll throw in Ja'Marr Chase because I know you like him. Are you playing any of these? I'll call them upper echelon wide receivers on this SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Like it's kind of like all the cases you met you made for like McCaffrey. I feel the same about Chase for him. I mean, it's tough to get there, right?
And I'm not going to say I'm going to be playing a ton of him, but I love the idea of getting to him because people just aren't going to do it. He was expected out for a lot of the week. He's coming off that concussion. He's the same price, basically, as Amon Ra. He's not in that game. No one wants to play Miami pieces. I just feel like exactly what you said about McCaffrey, I feel about Chase.
And I do think they're very similar type plays. And what I like about Chase too, it wasn't a soft tissue thing, you know, it was a, it was a concussion and he's obviously back. Yeah. He's back. Like he's fine. He was out and you saw it like when he got hit, I don't know if you saw the hit. Yeah. So like to your point, like he's fine. It doesn't mean he won't get hurt again, but he's fine from that. Yeah. Yep.
He's fine from that. Yeah. I mean, that's a great call. I mean, you're, you know, you did it against the Texans too, right? I think he had one or two catches the week before no one was on chase. Then all he did was go out and score two touchdowns. I think a hundred yards and had thirty some odd DraftKings point. What about Justin Jefferson coming home? He's been banged up all weeks. They're having diarrhea in the Saints locker room.
Any love for Justin Jefferson at $7,300 bucks? That coming home always gets me a little bit. But other than that, I just don't love the Vikings here. Like Kyler has been so unimpressive. I like the Saints to just – I don't think they're particularly good, but whenever teams come off embarrassing performances like the Jets or the Saints are on Monday night, and I don't think they're bad teams, I expect them to show much better effort, and that's what I expect from the Saints.
It doesn't mean that no one from Minnesota could get there, but they're just not an offense I'm targeting. Yeah. And then, and then let's go to the next tier. Garrett Wilson, $6,600. I love Garrett Wilson today, but I hate that it's going to rain all day there. So talk to me about Garrett Wilson. Yeah, go ahead. No, sorry. I want to talk about Garrett Wilson because I want to hear why you like him so much other than he's a stud.
And I, you know, Gino's going to walk in on him. That's sad. Yeah. Yeah, just real quick, like Denzel Ward, whenever he I don't want anyone that Denzel Ward is is on to that point. Also, though, Denzel Ward doesn't shadow one hundred percent. So I'm a little torn on Garrett Wilson is my overall point. Yeah, I like Garrett Wilson for a not that a Donovan Mitchell means much, but Donovan Mitchell out. So I think he'll get the targets. He's their clear cut number one.
You know, kind of like Braylon Allen, like when the chips are down and they're running fifty, sixty plays like he's going to get his eight to twelve targets in a normal game. I understand Denzel Ward is good, but seventeen or whatever. Garrett Wilson also really good, too. So no doubt. And he's at home and like, you know, and I didn't know about that shadow non shadow. But yeah, I mean, if he doesn't go to his side half the time, then.
Whoever they have over there, but I'm kind of lower on Wilson now because it's supposed to be rainy so much. And I'm not, I don't want to waste a, to me, there's a lot of other good receivers around his price tag as well. That, that, that would be why I would not go to Wilson because of the weather. But I do like him though. Cause we talked about the Jets offense last week. They just weren't on the field.
Like they're going to be on the field a lot more this week. So to that alone, I'm with you. Yeah. Talk to me a little bit about J-Mo. Let me go first, then I'll pass it over to you. I love J-Mo this week. Ran a hundred percent of the routes, Matt, last week. Got a hundred yards as well. First game of the season. He's a home run waiting to happen.
And in GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Like he's the type, if he hits a seventy-five yard home run, that's obviously taking Gibbs off. And that's the way you, you know, Gibbs doesn't have his ceiling type game and JMO does. I think JMO and GPPs is a phenomenal play. You got any love for JMO today? I do. My only counter to what you just said would be like, man, you get one play for seventy five yards.
Like, does that even eat into Gibbs's ceiling? It just takes him off for that one drive. But it just means the whole game. Like if you're getting plays like that, I get your point. Don't get me wrong. For me, it's just like how many players from this game can you play? I don't know if there's an answer to that. Like as many said six. Yeah, maybe as many as you can fit. Yeah, I love Jamo here.
I don't think you're going to get him like LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. Where all those other dudes will be thirty plus. I can't see it.
Him being sub-fifteen. Like, I can't see the other guys being double him. But maybe he's twenty and those guys are thirty-plus. Maybe I'm wrong. You know, we'll see. He does seem like a pretty obvious play to me. But, yeah, Sims aren't really pushing him. So, I'm with you. Like, maybe he's lower on than I'm expecting. Yeah, he's Simming horribly. I mean, Wilson definitely going to be double. Amin Ra may not be double, but he'll be up there.
I think J-Mo's like a Supreme GPP play today. Yeah, I love me Jamison Williams today. I'm just going to give you a whole slew of receivers, Matt, and then you tell me if you have any interest. Malik Nabers, Christian Watson, Jalen Waddell with homeboy taking over the play calling, DK Metcalf in the weather, and then Matthews Golden. Yeah, I love Golden here. We talked about that spot. DK Metcalf is interesting because I like Rowan Wilson a lot, but I think the field does too.
So Metcalf is like an intriguing PivotA pivot in DFS is an alternative player or lineup combination you choose instead of another option. And then who is the third guy? Golden. I talked about Golden. I like him. I'm always eyeing Golden. Golden, Metcalf, Waddle, and Watson. Waddle is not someone I've thought about a lot, not going to lie, this week. Not that I think he's a bad play. There's just only so many guys you can get to.
And with the Detroit and Arizona guys standing out, and then also guys like Trey Harris really standing out, who we haven't even talked about, just hard to get on everyone. But I see no reason why Waddle a bad play. I don't love that game, but I don't hate it either. Do you have a strong take there? On the Chargers game? Yeah. Or on any of those backs, any of those wide outs, excuse me. Oh, I mean, I love Jalen Waddle today.
I love Jalen Waddle. I love Copeland Sutton. He's dirt cheap on both sites. I think, you know, I think with Sean Payton taking over the play calling, I mean, We saw what he's done in the past, and we saw what he's done with these guys last year. I know he didn't have Waddle last year, but he had Sutton. So I think he's going to find ways to get Jalen Waddle. He gave up a whole lot to get Jalen Waddle. Got to find some usage for him.
His price came down on both sites, or it came down on DraftKings. Stayed the same on Fando. I love Jalen Waddle today. I actually don't like Trey Harris. I mean, I totally get it. Like the price, no receivers. But, man, that offensive line is just – poor Justin Herbert. He may not survive this game today. I totally get Trey Harris based on the price and all that. Like I said, but he's a tough click.
And kind of like that Washington guy we talked about earlier, like I think Trey Harris has to get you . I don't know. He's gotten fifty plus in three games yards. It's tough. It's tough. I disagree. I disagree that you need the same from him as you would Mike Washington. OK, tell me just because of the position scarcity. Right. Like with Washington, you can only play three running backs total with Harris and with the running backs we've talked about. I think that.
And Washington needs, you know, it's all dependent on what the other guys do, right? So if Allen and them didn't do well, then you wouldn't need as much from Washington. But presuming those other guys did well, I think you need Washington to match it. Like, again, I don't think it's that much of a different delta, but I do think that a couple less points from Harris is fine. Whereas from Washington, you just need more. Got it. Talk to me a little bit about someone asked me this morning in our Discord about Deami Brown. Talk to me. I mean, I, I wouldn't play Deami Brown with your money, but talk any love for any of these Washington receivers.
Can you take a dart throw on Deami Brown or Traylon Burdick's that basically stone men, you got any interest in any of these guys for Washington? No, I don't. I mean, I'm not. Yeah. Yeah. I don't either. Um, Yeah, they're tough clicks. It's bad weather. Quarterback coming back. I've seen a lot of Antonio Williams love this week, but, yeah, it's not for me. Any other receivers that we haven't hit on that you want to – Josh Downs, Mike Evans.
What about our Carnell Tate call last week? Carnell Tate cut up last week. Great call by us. But anybody else down here that we haven't touched on that you want to talk about? Only other guy, and I know I've mentioned him a couple times in our past shows, but the big play is coming with him. They just keep trying to get him the ball. The one piece of the Browns offense I like isn't Boston. It's Concepcion. I feel it.
He's like the one real LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. So you talk about making a build with the Detroit-Arizona game and then with Harris and then subbing Concepcion, that's all you need to do. Because Harris is going to be really popular and Concepcion is, well, not. And Concepcion, I could see him too having like, you know, ten catches for eighty yards, right? And it just pops off. Exactly. Even if he doesn't have the big play.
Like, they are getting the ball in his hands. So... And to your point, bad weather might not be a bad thing for him because they might not be able to run and they get him the ball in the short passing game. I'm going to push back a little bit on – On Rowan Wilson, I think that's a – I'm assuming you like him because of Price and no Pittman would be my guess. Well, yeah, and it's just the slot wide out McCarthy's offense has been really good.
So, it's all – My problem with him is, like, he was cutting up against the Browns and, like, he just doesn't play. Like, why did they take him out of the game? He only played, like, fifty percent of the snaps, ran, like, thirty-nine percent of the routes. Like, that would be why I wouldn't get to him. I understand he's $3,700, but, man, like, I don't know. I don't like Rowan Wilson, but I guess you do.
I like Kendrick Bourne better than Rowan Wilson. How do you have Kendrick Bourne versus Rowan Wilson? I think they're similar. I like Rowan Wilson slightly more, but I don't think you're crazy at all. And, you know, that would be an OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Any of these Miami wideouts, Malik Washington, I think, is getting some – Why not Malik Washington? I mean, I think I like Miami a little bit more than you do anyways, and considering that, why not Malik Washington? Like, he's clearly their number one option. He's been pretty good, and, you know, if he scores, he could have a chance to be really good, and that's all it is, right? Yeah, just, man, that's threading a tight needle at .四ty-six.
I'd rather play Luther Bird than him at . But yeah, Devon Bailey, man, he had a heck of a catch in the other night. I'm not playing him today, but that was a really good catch that he had. Anybody else? Man, this Eagles team just refuses to lose. Anybody else that we didn't touch on that you want to talk about? I don't think so. Yeah, I think we pretty much got everyone. Yeah, pretty much there. Yeah, J-Mo. J-Mo's my GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. I really like some J-Mo in this contest. All right, move on to tight end where it's going to be the Trey McBride show. He's going to be super popular. You see that there. You got him at thirty one percent ownership. Then really, it's everybody else after that. The other tight end in that game, Sam LaPorta is going to come in number two. But I mean, talk to me about Trey. Talk to me about Sam.
But talk about any of these other tight ends that maybe could help us win the Mills today. I mean, yeah, it starts with McBride, right? Like he's the top guy. Him and Wilson are the two guys you want from that Arizona offense. So condensed OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. I mean, Bowers is going to be lower owned because of McBride and is still too cheap, in my opinion.
He's one of the top five biggest mismatches in football right now. I think playing them both together is intriguing, but if you're not playing McBride, I think Bowers looks good. And then after that, it's kind of guys I like from stacks. The Sims are pushing Isaiah Likely a little bit. I don't hate it, but I don't. Oh, no, don't do that, please. Yeah, I'm not. Craig Dulcich, I think I'll like more than you because I don't hate Miami. And Dulcich for the Dolphins.
And as you know, tight ends kill the Bengals. So, I mean. Britain Strange, like nine for ninety last week. That's all I'm saying. And Dulcich, not going to be owned cheap. Don't do it. Oh, man. Even after that, facing the Bengals, I thought I could get you on board. No, not even with his hair flowing. I love his hair. I'm really jealous of his hair. No, man. They just don't pass it.
They're just going to turn around and put it in Ollie's belly and give me a hundred yards, and I'll be off to the races. I'll be celebrating in Aruba real nice, Matt, if he gets a hundy today. He's wide receiver one, and he's playing a team that is missing both of their cornerbacks. Brock Bowers. Man, he is in a smash spot.
Like Brock Bowers. Especially with a beat-up Genting too. And a beat-up Genting. Like they're going to feed this guy the pill. Like he is a man among boys. He stayed up until midnight last night watching his dogs take down the Tide. Like he's ready to go. He's going to run through a brick wall today. And hopefully score because I court him over there at ShipItNation.com. I love me some Brock Bowers today. I think Brock's in a great spot.
He's my favorite tight end slash wide receiver one. Oh, I love Brock Bowers. Anybody else? I like Brock Bowers over McBride, but that's – yeah. Yeah, the other tight end I actually like a lot. You mentioned Kraft earlier. I like him, especially in the staff. Oh, Tucker Kraft, smash spot. Smash spot. I am surprised you actually don't like more, especially because you don't love Trey Harris. What about some Aranda Gadsden? Absolutely. Yeah, yeah. Love Gadsden. Yeah, he looks good here. Sorry. Yeah, he's good.
He doesn't play, though, so that scares me. I know. Yeah. What about Charlie Kohler? Is Kohler back today? I thought I saw something about that. Do you know or if anyone in the chat knows if Kohler's back? He is projected a little bit, so. Yeah, so he must be back, yeah. He must be back. I'm probably not getting the gas tonight. That Broncos, I'm telling you, that defensive line for the Broncos, they're starting four rookies for the Chargers. Man, Madison Beer better get her hands ready.
She's going to be giving that boy a massage all night tonight because, gosh, she's going to get beat up. I feel bad for him. He's got some loser coach as well, so. Man, I'm probably not getting the gas in. But, yeah, so I got Bowers. That's my tight end one. Tucker Kraft. I love Tucker Kraft. I got a bunch of Tucker Kraft in my one-fifty today. What about Sam LaPorta? How are you handling Sam LaPorta?
I don't think he's going to be highly owned just because everyone's on a click on McBride. I mean, I guess you could go double tight. But how do you feel about LaPorta today? Well, it's really hard to go double tight with all the running backs. I know. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Uh-oh. We got a tutty. Oh! Who? No, he overthrew him. It was the Eagles. Sorry, I lost my train of thought because of that. Yes. We were talking about LaPorta.
Yeah, I like LaPorta. And to that point, I think we're on the same page. How can he get a lot of love when you've got McBride and then all the running back plays? And it seems like the optimal build is to play a running back at flex, right?
It doesn't mean it's going to work out that way, but on paper with Swift, Allen, Gibbs, just those three, and then whoever else, Wilson, whoever else you want to talk about, it's hard to get LaPorta in there because he's not super cheap. So because of that... I love LaPorta. I mean, one of the best plays of the slate, in my opinion. Oh, I like that. He's really hard to get to, but I like him a lot.
I kind of like a full, like, one thing I like that we haven't talked about, and I think these are ways to get different within ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ spots. Like, I kind of like the full Detroit hammer. Like, playing five or six points. Just Detroit. I mean, at that point, if you don't play the expense of Arizona, you can play all of them. Right. Like, and just hope that it's a Detroit onslaught and Arizona stinks. You can do the same thing with Arizona.
I just think a lot more people are going to do that because they're easier and more consolidated. Yeah. But you don't, I don't think you have, I mean, I guess you got, I guess you could play love, but you really don't have that fifth guy that, I mean, in an onslaught, though, like if you're playing five Lions, don't you think you need at least one Cardinals bring back to kind of keep that game going? Or you're just saying, hey, the Lions are going to score forty five.
I don't care what the Cardinals do. Yeah, kind of like that. Like, sure, you could. But just because like if the Lions go forty five and Arizona scores fourteen, like I think that's enough to push them as much as you need. But like maybe you don't need the McBride tight end. Like maybe it's just spread around for Arizona or some random. Elijah Higgins scores the touchdown. Yeah. Not saying that's Likely, but we're always looking for outlier scenarios. And you know what I mean?
And it could be like twenty eight to fourteen. And that's when Jamo takes is like eighty yards. Right. House plan. Yeah, exactly. So like, yeah, I don't think that Arizona is like not going to be able to move the ball at all. And I don't think playing them is a bad idea, but like maybe they're just less impactful in the field. Thanks, because they're going to Arizona. It's going to be so highly owned. Yep, agreed. All right, Bowers I like. Kraft I have a lot of interest in.
Kenyon, Sadiq, I would normally, but not in the rain. I see some Harold Fanon love in the chat, Matt. How do you feel about Harold Fanon today? Not Fanon, Harold Fanon, the touchdown maker himself. That's my Cleveland dude, so I'm not surprised he's on Fanon. I mean, Fanon's a dog. I like him always, and maybe the rain doesn't hurt him here because we talked about maybe they check down more. I'm not going out of my way for Fanon, but I don't hate it.
I know the chat loves the revenge narrative. How do we feel about my boy, about my boy going back down to South Beach, the Jizz Kid, Michael Gesicki. All he does is catch touchdown. Matt, we'll be seeing the gritty in the end zone today. Revenge factor. You love Burrow. Do you have any Michael Gesicki today? I got one for you. I got Dulcich. You got Gesicki. Straight up points. Put it on the board. I already owe you one. I'm down one-oh after Bucky Nation.
Hey, Matt, of course. Bucky, of course. I thought about you the whole time. The whole time. Not only, like, and he scored, like, the first touchdown. I'm, like, pulling my hair out. I'm, like, of all the fans. Oh, yeah, just wait. Just the first touchdown, right? And then two hundred yards later. Jamming it right in me. I'm just, oh, that was killer. Sorry to Bucky Nation, man. Like, he just hammered me, but. Yeah, all right.
I'll take – I don't like Gesicki, but the only one I'll mention is Colson Loveland, . I mean, he's a beast, Matt. He's going to win a SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Full explanation ↗ at some point this year. We're only week five. We've got thirteen weeks after this, but he's a beast. He could do it today. You talked about Bagent. Man, if you're playing Bagent, I think you've got to get Colson Loveland in there. RIP to . Mr. Ditka. Do it for Mike there, Colson. Get you in that end zone.
But any of these other Darnell Washington, no. But I don't have any interest. We didn't touch on George Kittle. I'm not playing Kittle. Not playing that scrub, Isaiah Likely. But any of these other tight ends that you want to touch on? Not really. I mean, I do think that Hockenson with no Addison still has a role. But price increase, Jefferson back. Hardly excited about it. All right, Matt. Right call or run call? TJ Hockenson falling down at the one-yard line last week.
I mean, it was clearly the right call. There's an argument for it to not be the right call. I understand why people would be upset, but I don't even think that's a bad beat because it guarantees the win. First off, Minnesota was never covering the entire game, so there's that. But second of all, it guarantees the win. And besides that, you don't want your defense having to play unnecessary snaps where they can get hurt. I think it's an easy call. Kid Lightning disagrees with you.
I don't blame you. I think it actually helped me in the long run. I had a good week last week. I think it helped me. But, yeah, it was the right play. The wrong play was that jabroni for the Giants being so selfish and running back that touchdown. I disagree with that. Why? The game's over. Exactly. Why not score? There is no plays after that. But he could have gotten stripped. He could have gotten hurt.
I mean, I guarantee you that if there was a defender close to him, he would have gone down. But you've got to take that touchdown, in my opinion. I mean, why? To be selfish, yes. To win the game and just say, you know what, no matter what, I could trip and fall. I didn't play Giants D. I didn't play Giants D, I promise. But like in that scenario with no time left and no plays left, they're always scoring there.
I mean, they're not always scoring, but I don't think it's a bad move to score. I don't think it's selfish. I just think it's... Haven't you ever seen? It was in the Meadowlands, I think. And I think it was Herm Edwards. He, like, muffed the ball and the Giants take it and run. What if he trips on that bad turf, throws the ball down? I don't know. I think it actually helped me, too.
But I just, you know, I like good old-fashioned, like, let's win games football. But I like your point, though. It was the last game. It didn't matter. The other team wanted to get the ball back. So I'll take your side on that one. All right, that's enough on tight ends. Play Brock Bowers. All right, let's go to defenses. I got some spicy defenses, as always. Commanders, man, they scare me. I got a lot of Commanders, I'll be honest with you.
But at the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ that we're showing, on both sides, it scares me. Who are some of your favorite defenses this week? I like the Saints a lot. Like I said, I haven't liked the Vikings offense. Yeah, tell me why you do because I do too. But why do you like them? I'm worried about the Saints D now with that sickness. I know. So I don't know what to make of that. I'm going to have to kind of figure that out after the show.
The Sims are pushing the Titans on me, which I don't love. But I also think we talked about it. I mean, they got some dudes on their D and they're $2,100. Houston, I don't know. I could see that game playing out in a bunch of different ways. I could see Houston just putting their foot down and destroying Tennessee here. I could also see Houston just might not be that good, and it's in Tennessee.
So I'm a little bit torn on what to do there. And then I do like the Jets. Both sides of the Jets-Browns game. Deshaun Watson been really good this year. And I'm a believer in the Browns, but this is a big trap spot for them. And the Jets are cheap. I like they're running back. So they're in play for me. I like, I don't think the Browns on the other side of that game are a bad play. Truth be told.
I don't have a strong take on defenses here. Um, I think it's one of those random weeks. How about you? So the reason I liked the Saints and I was just checking it out, Christian Darasol is out. Um, Offensive lineman, pretty good offensive lineman. He's been out, right? No, I think he got concussed last week. Oh, okay. I think, yeah, and he's out. But Caden Ellis is also out for the Saints. He's their middle linebacker.
We saw Danny Stutzman last week, just couldn't get it done. They scare me. Washington scares me as well. Indy. I do like Indy as a cheap defense, and I'll tell you why. DeForest Buckner is playing. Where do we have Indy? We have Indy all the way down. They look pretty bad for us, but they're $2,500 bucks. The weather, Sean Sully put it in the chat. The weather's not terrible, but it's got some winds. Hey, and anytime you like a little.
Huh? Sorry, go ahead. Yeah, I like the Colts. Another one I like, Matt, that no one's going to play, obviously the Texans, I like them, but the forty-Niners, man. Forty-Niners look good to me today. $2,400 bucks, let me tell you why. They get back Mikael Williams, Michael Williams. This guy is an absolute freak coming off an ACL injury. Where'd he come from? Georgia. Yeah, okay. He was so good in college. He's a freak. If they had Bosa, it'd be lock and load on him.
I know Bosa hurts, but I really liked this San Francisco defense today. $2,400 bucks. That's dirt cheap. And then last thing, and I'll get it back over to you. Leverage Lane yesterday, our guy Blickle kind of talked about it, playing that Lions defense, covering off that game. Hey, Paris Johnson for the Cardinals out. I think the Cardinals are missing another offensive lineman. The Lions supposedly have some amazing pass rush with Aiden Hutchinson and crew.
Like what happens if the Lions just shut this game down and just get sacks, turnovers, TDs, $3,000. So I'll leave you with that. So I have a little bit mixed feelings on that. Like I could talk for a long time about this. I do think that like, yeah, the LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ part of it makes sense because, you know, everyone's playing Arizona's offense and you're playing the other side of that.
I also think that there are plenty of scenarios in which the Arizona offense doesn't do as well as the field thinks they're going to do. And Detroit's Lions defense is meaningless because defense is random. They're not even that cheap. They've been awful. So, like, I think a lot of times Arizona scores twenty one points here less than the field expects them to. Detroit gets some sacks and maybe a turnover or two, but isn't really relevant themselves.
Now the outlier cases are what you're shooting for. I just think there are other defenses. I like more. And one of them you kind of said in passing and it's Houston. I like them a lot here. I think they're fighting for their lives. They're expensive. And like, you say that like for sure, like everyone likes them and I agree with you, but they're not going to get played because they're so expensive. Okay. All right.
Well, like we do each and every week, when the smoke is settled and the dust is cleared, and Matt Belman has won hopefully a million dollars, not named Jameer Gibbs, give me one player that's going to be on your roster. Texans defense. Texans defense. All right, there it is. You got any bets this week that I should get? You got any bets for me? I like the Packers plus the points at home, but I don't love much else. Yeah, just take the money.
Just a weird week. Yeah, probably. Weird week. Yeah. I got it. It's gross. It's super gross. Ollie Gordon, fifty plus rushing yards. I think Ollie gets the ball fifteen times. I think he gets the fifty. I need to be more on Ollie because I feel like we need to kind of join forces here because I like Miami's offense more than you. You like Ollie more than me. You know, like you need to get on Willis and Washington more. I need to get on Ollie more.
I can't. I can't. I can't get on Malik. I can't get somebody else. I mean, I do like Ollie in fantasy. I'm going to play a bunch of them in my one-fifty, but I just think he's going to get carries. He got a hundred yards versus a much better defense last week in a part-time role. The only way I don't see him getting fifty-plus is if they just get way down. If they get down twenty-one to nothing early, then they just can't run it.
Man, give me some Ali, fifty-plus. He gets a hundred-plus. It's hard, though, man, like Ali and DFS, because you might be right about the fifty-plus, but playing him over all those other guys is a different story. You know what I mean? Yeah. I don't, I mean, I got to, like I said, I have some of them. Right, we were on the same exact page there. Like, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, he may get seventy-five and not, you know, he may not be needed, but I don't care about that. Mm-hmm. All right, give me some Texans D. I'm going to bump them a little bit. Give me some Ollie. Appreciate each and every one of you tuning in. We got about thirty-five minutes or thirty-three minutes, thirty-two minutes until a lot, about thirty-five minutes before games kick. Appreciate you tuning in. Hit that like.
