The Short Version

Austin Hanson and Ryan Davenport break down Detroit at Carolina, expecting points against two vulnerable defenses. Jahmyr Gibbs ($18,000) leads the captain rankings, but his popularity makes roster construction important. Bryce Young ($9,800) is preferred to Jared Goff, with captain appeal against Detroit’s secondary and uncertainty around Carolina’s target distribution. Tetairoa McMillan ($13,500) is a leading captain alternative with Jalen Coker out. Both captain salaries and Young’s flex salary are quoted here.

Brycen Tremayne’s $2,600 salary makes him the obvious value, but the show debates following that chalk versus using John Metchie III and Carolina’s tight ends. Jameson Williams with Goff and Sam LaPorta offers a way to build without Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The hosts disagree on Chuba Hubbard and Darren Waller. Young captain builds should include two pass catchers, counting Hubbard; Ryan Fitzgerald and less popular midrange pieces offer other ways to reduce duplication.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
LEVERAGE In the main-slate review, praised as a sub-10% play that leveraged popular backs near his salary and Stafford-Puka combinations. 4:02
The main-slate review raised concern that increasing backup involvement preserves his floor but reduces his ceiling relative to Gibbs and Bijan Robinson. 9:28
CORE A leading captain choice at $13,500 after running routes on 92% of dropbacks, with Coker's absence strengthening his role; also received a closing play-of-the-day call. 18:15
CORE The top-ranked captain for his workload and floor-ceiling combination, with roughly 30% captain exposure discussed rather than automatically exceeding the field. 19:02
Bryce Young CORE A central captain choice and preferred quarterback over Goff because Detroit allows quarterback ceilings and Carolina could spread its targets across several receivers. 19:50
LEVERAGE At $10,500 in captain or $7,000 in flex, explosive touchdowns offer leverage off Gibbs and a different construction from the popular stars-and-scrubs builds. 21:12
ONE-OFF Viable in the expected high-scoring game, although Young is preferred and the hosts differ on Goff's captain appeal. 25:43
Jared Goff + Bryce Young The hosts split between wanting both quarterbacks for passing volume and replacing one with a skill player to avoid a popular, expensive construction. 27:26
The hosts split between taking less than the field to emphasize Carolina's passing game and backing his rushing workload, receiving involvement and captain ceiling. 30:43
A split tournament consideration at $3,000: one approach avoids him, while another uses him with Gibbs in a Detroit-heavy game script. 30:43
FADE Explicitly excluded, with Gibbs and Hubbard dominating the running-back discussion and Vaki preferred if using a backup. 31:08
PAY UP His expensive flex salary is defensible because reception volume can produce a ceiling without requiring touchdowns, and he remains a primary captain option. 31:33
VALUE At $2,600, his 39 routes and 76% route share make him difficult to pass up, though the show also argues for tournament pivots against his expected popularity. 33:52
VALUE A $200 punt considered playable because Carolina's depleted receiver group leaves uncertainty about who receives the available routes. 37:19
ONE-OFF Remains in the Carolina punt pool because receiver usage is uncertain and a small amount of production could be enough at the bottom of the salary range. 37:45
FADE Explicitly passed over at $800, with Detroit receiver interest focused on St. Brown, Williams and TeSlaa. 37:45
LEVERAGE A $4,200 alternative near Waller's salary with projected ownership below 10% and a previously demonstrated ceiling, offered as an option rather than a priority. 38:02
Floated as a deep punt who could contribute a little, but the discussion preferred Carolina's cheap tight ends or avoided him altogether. 38:55
The hosts split on Carolina's tight ends, with a positive case built around his prior snap involvement, athleticism and additional opportunities without Coker and Legette. 40:44
CORE A major tight-end building block with 86% route participation, volume and touchdown paths, including substantial exposure in limited lineups. 41:55
Jared Goff + Jameson Williams + Sam LaPorta IN PLAY A supported alternative build without Gibbs or St. Brown, betting that Williams captures explosive scores and LaPorta collects receiving production. 42:47
The hosts split between avoiding his roughly 50% snap and route role and acknowledging $4,400 value, with Tremble and Evans preferred as alternatives in the closing discussion. 43:15
Bryce Young + Tommy Tremble + Mitchell Evans IN PLAY Consider this pairing of cheap tight ends with Young and Gibbs at captain, leaving Goff out to create a different construction. 44:01
Panthers DST A $3,600 option in a Carolina-control script, potentially alongside Hubbard, although the hosts differ on defense exposure. 44:30
The hosts split between using kickers as overlooked midrange pieces and avoiding Bates because Detroit frequently goes for fourth downs. 45:30
Lions DST A $4,000 tournament alternative to Waller with a defensive-touchdown path, but the hosts differ on whether to roster defenses in this game. 46:26
LEVERAGE The preferred kicker at $4,800, with lower expected ownership than Bates and potential field goals if Carolina moves the ball but stalls in the red zone. 46:51
LEVERAGE A pivot discussed at roughly 12% ownership versus Tremayne's 50%, although the hosts differ over how secure his routes will be. 49:42
The hosts split between avoiding Carolina's tight ends and using him at $2,400 as a much less popular alternative to Tremayne and Waller. 50:07
Bryce Young + Two Carolina Pass Catchers IN PLAY Use at least two pass catchers with Young at captain, counting Hubbard toward the rule and varying combinations beyond McMillan and Waller. 55:29

DFS Terms Used on This Show

OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 4:02 ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 4:29 Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 10:42 Stars and ScrubsStars and scrubs is a DFS lineup structure where you spend heavily on several expensive players and fill other roster spots with low-salary players. The cheap players free up salary for the stars; they are not necessarily bad players.Compare the points you gain by upgrading to a star with the points you sacrifice at the cheap spot. Check whether both players still fit your lineup's scoring scenario.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 14:00 LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 21:12 Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. It includes where you spend or save, which positions you prioritize, and how your players fit together.Build two versions around your biggest spending decision, then compare every player who changes. Revisit the comparison when injury news changes the available value.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 21:41 GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 29:19 Cash GameA cash game is a contest that pays a large share of the field, usually close to half, the same flat prize. Fifty-fifties, double-ups and head-to-heads are the common cash games.Treat cash games as the steady base of your bankroll. Use one safe core across your cash entries on a slate, and save riskier ideas for tournaments.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 33:11 Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 34:37 The FieldThe field is everyone else entered in a contest, the group of lineups you are competing against. Before you build, picture the typical lineup in your contest. Then decide on purpose where you'll match it and where you'll step away from it.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 48:07 Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Full explanation ↗▶ Said at 52:27 ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. All systems go. Clear for liftoff. What is going on, Shibbit Nation? YouTube station back Sunday after taking last week off, right? No shows last week. Ham was enjoying himself some traveling time, right? We took a week off, but we're back. We're back, ready to dive in, sweat down the end of these mainstay contests, and then we'll jump in and talk Sunday night football game here, which should yield some points, right? Typically been the case any time. The, excuse me, Detroit Lions have been on the slate.

1:13

Carolinas look pretty good. So it should be a pretty fun game here tonight. I'm looking forward to it. Good prizes overall on DraftKings. But how are we doing, Ham? Yeah, doing good. Watching these games. I was in a Nor'easter last week watching those Titans and Giants play. It was an awful game in the rain. But Nades, I think it's time. At least for twenty twenty six, man, it may be time to start having a conversation around Justin Herbert. He's just he's not him this year.

1:43

Madison Bears got him, got him some kind of way, but he's playing awful today, but not looking good. And yeah, so got a got a little bit of sweat, something I can ship anything, but got some CNC Hawk and Waddle teams left that are in the top ten, so maybe make a late push and get a nice sweat as we're talking about this Sunday night show. Yeah, I know we got sweat in our Discord.

2:15

Jim, or Jill came down with twenty-five, one of our Discord members. He's currently in fifth in the Mega Million right now. Go ahead and pull it up on the screen here, Ham. Oh yeah. I mean, absolutely disgusting team here overall. Yeah. I mean, he's got dent gente, which nobody has in Jordan Addison. So, and he's got, so you guys ahead of and have Aaron Jones. So he's fading Jones. And Hawkins. Hawkinson. He's faded. Wilson, Seahawks defense, Hawkins, Jones.

3:01

He needs really – I mean, he needs – He needs Jeanty. He needs Jeanty and Addison because all these other guys around him have either Hawkins, Aaron Jones. So he needs – Yeah, I mean, he needs Jordan, Jordan Addison. I know he's twenty eight percent on, but all the guys around him don't have him. So that would help as long as it's him over Hawkins and Aaron Jones. So good luck to their genties. The big one, though, if Gentee can can break one here.

3:32

That would that would meant him. But overall, I'm assuming he got in with the ticket here. So a little fifty stacks right now as it stands, you know, just always in the mix. I mean, you know, you know, is just absolutely insane. Such a good player overall there. Let's take a look and see. See the hundred or the the twenty dollar milli here. Another DAC team, Emmanuel Wilson. Getting in there, Kyron.

4:02

I know Kyron was a great play on the slate, right around sub-ten percent OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ with everyone on. Other running backs in his range, right? I just thought that was a really good play. Leveraged a bunch of the Ram stuff with Stafford and Puka, and obviously Puka kind of still got there a decent amount. Stafford did not, but Kyron was a really good play. Eagles are pretty dust. I mean, I don't think the Eagles are a good football team.

4:29

But, yeah, any kind of overarching thoughts that you're seeing on the slate here? Yeah, I mean, obviously you need CD, you need a Nico, you need a Dak or CJ every tournament that I'm in. Those are the guys at the top and kind of sprinkling them around with Kyron. Now you're seeing Emmanuel Wilson, who's dirt cheap on both sides, pop up and kind of a lot of the ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ did not get there today.

4:54

Nate's nobody really in the Cincinnati game as it relates to, uh, Parker Washington. It was, you know, Higgins did, did good as you see there Strange, but no tootin, no Brown, uh, obviously chase left early, no Myers, no Lawrence, no Burrow. So, uh, Our boy Tambo kind of nailed that one on leverage lane, if you saw that. And then Blickle nailed – you know, he had Kyron as his leverage lane.

5:20

And then, you know, he had Kyron Williams on a slate and caught ten passes. So, yeah, Aaron Jones doing Aaron Jones things, carrying it twenty times, averaging three yards a pop. No, the biggest thing I see right now, kind of overarching here, is – The tight ends, right? Especially in like larger field stuff. You see the two tight ends in the smaller field, which makes sense, right? The mega million.

5:50

But I mean, just going away from the two tight ends, that's where a bunch of the value was, right? Hawkinson's like thirty OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. You got other guys down there as well. That are pretty popular overall from a tight end perspective. So, I mean, Brent Strange, part of that Jacksonville-Cincinnati game, I think that's the biggest overarching when you come into a slate like today, right, and you see Jacksonville-Cincinnati is the game that is the can't-miss spot, right, for a good reason.

6:20

And I know there was injuries, right? Ja'Marr Chase got injured in that game pretty early. And it was just kind of overall pretty – weird run out in general. But when there's a twelve game slate ham like in the field is condensing so much on a similar spot. I mean, you got to almost think it's more advantageous like Tambo. His lane was to lean into other good games. I mean, Dallas, Dallas, Houston, Dallas has been in shootouts all year, right? Their defense is been atrocious.

6:52

Right. The Giants in Arizona. That was another pretty good spot to target the Jets in Chicago, which Jets in Chicago didn't end up coming to fruition there. Just the way that went. That was a pretty good game to target. I know the forty Niners game and Broncos was a pretty decent game to target overall. So any thoughts on that from a like evergreen learning standpoint of. You come into the slate, right? You open it up. Jacksonville, Cincinnati obviously looks great. Totals high.

7:23

Pieces look really good. Parker Washington has been smashing, right? Ja'Marr Chase has been smashing. Everything just kind of lines up. But what's your kind of thoughts on that just from the overall slate before obviously we see a bunch of the cards getting played right now, now that we have kind of the pieces of the puzzle laid out? Yeah, I mean, to me, and Tambo kind of alluded to yesterday, it's like, I mean, that Jags game was the best total.

7:50

But to win tournaments, you've got to find spots that are similar to that with half dudes that can smash. And like you just said, the Texans have given up thirty-eight to the Bills, and D.J. Moore looked like prime, T.O., Dalton Kincaid cut up. So, like, their secondary, while very good, has been vulnerable this year. And so you've got to find spots. Last week it was Geno. And those guys in that game.

8:15

And so you got to find guys in different spots, but yeah, this week, I mean, I wanted a lot of three running backs this week and not, not the cheap tight ends and try to find a cheap running back. Whether it was Braylon Allen, Aaron Jones, I didn't play enough Emmanuel Wilson. So yeah, I'm currently in fifteenth in the Mills on Fando. I don't have enough pop to get there, but it's at least fun to sweat making a little bit of bucks there.

8:40

So, today I thought it's been a really good slate, and McCaffrey's been kind of slow, which is not good. Yeah, I mean, McCaffrey's workload's getting eaten into more and more. Yeah. Right. Obviously, who is it? What? Black, right? From Indiana, the rookie behind him. Yeah, I mean, he's looked really good. Forty-Niners know how important McCaffrey is to their season. Obviously, they've got a really good team that's going to be there at the end.

9:10

Or should be at the end, right, as long as they kind of shake the injury bug that they kind of have every season. So that is one more thing to kind of add in. He doesn't really have – I mean, McCaffrey has the floor, I think, one of the best floors of really any of the running backs on any given slate.

9:28

But from a ceiling perspective, I just feel like his ceiling is not anywhere near a guy like Jameer Gibbs, a B. John Robinson, some of these other guys just because – Black is getting more and more, and they know McCaffrey's getting older, right? He's had injury histories in the past. So I think that's one thing to kind of store in the back of your mind, right, and stash in your pocket there.

9:49

But any thoughts on that before we kind of jump in here and take a look at this Sunday night football game? Yeah, I mean, when the chips are down, I would think Shanahan's going to play McCaffrey, at least while he can. Sertan went down earlier today too. I don't know if you saw that. So Sertan's out, but McCaffrey, yeah, snap percentage has gone down. You saw first game over in Australia. I think Black actually out snapped him.

10:16

But yeah, so Aaron Smith says the Chase injury, like I think that Jags game was even like, I don't even know when Chase got hurt. They might've been second quarter, but he wasn't doing much beforehand. I mean, maybe it changes it, but. I don't know. I mean. Yeah, I mean, with C.D. Lamb getting forty five or whatever he got and Nico Collins getting thirty six or mid thirties, I mean, I don't really think it matters what Chase got.

10:42

If anything, the Chase injury helped Higgins at chalk get there as well. Right. In my opinion. So obviously it's it's it's tough to really kind of tell. All I can say is I don't know who's worse, Ham. Uh, the NFL coaches here or, or the strength and conditioning coaches, uh, in these organizations. I mean, how many damn injuries have we seen all season? Like it's been Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗. It's been main slate. I mean, Adrian Cooper just tore his Achilles today. Um, you obviously had chase get injured.

11:12

You had so many guys. I mean, Ooh, Patrick Sertan just went out injured. Um, there, there was a ton of injuries, right? Um, Any thoughts on that? I mean, is it because you think it has preseason has something to do with it? What's I mean, I know the game's getting more and more physical, which doesn't help. And these guys, like I said, don't don't play preseason. So they come into the year and we're in basically game four. Right.

11:39

The last week of preseason standard, typically. Any thoughts on that? And then we'll start talking Sunday night football here. Yeah, I, I, I think, yeah, I mean, no preseason, I think hurts. I mean, the, all these dudes are so big, strong and fast and their, their muscles just ripped off the bone. I mean, edger and Cooper super young too, right. For him to tear his Achilles. I think that may be it though.

12:00

Nades, you know, I'm obviously not a doctor, but edger and like left with a concussion slash hamstring last week. Like, was he favoring that so much? And like, came back too soon. He had the mini bar. Maybe they're coming back too soon. Cause they want to get out there. I don't know, but so many young dudes just tearing. Achilles. I don't know what happened. I mean, Mariota old.

12:20

I mean, I don't know if that was an ACL or what that was, but it's the NFL, man. It's next man up. People go down every year, every week, and you hate it when the stars go out and edges, obviously, you know, in being an up and coming star. So hate to see that for sure. Yeah, I mean, I think this has a lot to do with it too, Alvin here says, them not practicing enough during the offseason and during the week.

12:44

Yeah, I mean, there's just so many, like, throw a questionable tag. They do a walkthrough Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or maybe practice one out of the six days leading up to the slate, and then they go out there and, I mean, they wonder why this stuff. And, again, I'm not a doctor. I don't know the ins and outs, and obviously the staffs, I would assume, are – Much smarter than I am with this kind of stuff.

13:08

I just think it's it's been absolutely maybe it's just maybe it's just evergreen right and it's kind of just an anomaly right of all the injuries. But I mean Jaxson Dart like the list is just absolutely insanely long and it's just brutal overall to see so many injuries so early in the season. I think it has a lot to do with the preseason and the offseason stuff and these guys kind of just doing whatever they want, right?

13:34

You're not going to tell most of these studs that they can't do something. They kind of dictate what they want to do and what they don't want to do. The coach only has so much say, in my opinion, is kind of what I understand. But, yeah, nonetheless, it's pretty brutal. Hopefully we get through a Sunday night football game or a Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Hopefully we don't see no backup quarterback bullshit, none of these running backs, wide receivers going down.

14:00

But what's your kind of broad slate overview here as we take a look at – This Detroit Lions on the road in Carolina. Big total here. Detroit is favored. And Jameer Gibbs all the way up at eighteen K. But Sam, there's tons of value. It's definitely going to be a Stars and ScrubsStars and scrubs is a DFS lineup structure where you spend heavily on several expensive players and fill other roster spots with low-salary players. Check whether both players still fit your lineup's scoring scenario.Full explanation ↗ slate from what I see here. But what's your kind of overarching? And then we'll jump in.

14:21

I'll give my kind of broad slate and then we'll talk captains and do our show as usual here. Broad slate overview is that it's going to be a good game. And the reason I say that is because. The Lions are on it, and we've seen in the first four games of the season, or three games of the season, when the Lions play, there's going to be a lot of offense, not a lot of defense. Their secondary shows up as optional.

14:45

Every game they've played in, Thursday night against the Bills, last week against Geno Smith, whoever that is. So, yeah, so I'm looking forward to the shootout. The Panthers, I mean, they gave up sixty in their first game, so they don't play much defense either. They can't stop the run. Their corners are out as well. So I'm looking forward to the skill guys. We know where the ball's going when the Lions have the ball.

15:11

Gibbs, Amin Ra, J-Mo started to get lathered up last week, LaPorta. And then on the other side with no Coker and no Brooks, you got Hubbard, you got Tett, then you got two super cheap receivers. That are going to be expensive. So they're all in play, then obviously the quarterbacks. I love the skill guys and the quarterbacks tonight, not so much the defenses and the kickers. Yeah, I think you nailed it right. Detroit road favorites, fifty one and a half. Big total.

15:45

Right. Three and a half. A lot of that has to do with the defense for both of these teams, really. Right. We should see a bunch of points here. Captain's going to be super condensed around Jameer Gibbs. Actually, just in general. All right. Captain's going to be pretty, pretty concentrated around the Lions in general here. In my opinion, it's kind of what I'm seeing outside of maybe. Well, I guess it's probably close between Gibbs.

16:09

Well, obviously Gibbs is far and away, right? He's going to be probably between thirty and forty percent, I would say, which is the highest we've seen yet on a Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗ slate. But it's it's definitely warranted. Right. This dude gets everything he can handle in this spot. You have to assume he kind of accounts for everything. Fourteen to seventeen of those points. I would say probably fourteen of those points right from the Lions for sure. So that's why you see the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ there.

16:36

But then it's probably a drop off right in terms of captain and going to be spread amongst a bunch of different guys. Chuba going to be up there. Tet McMillan Amonra is going to kind of get sold here a little bit. Both the quarterbacks are getting sold in the captain's position, which I do like quite a bit, especially the Bryce Young side.

16:54

Reason being is we've seen quarterbacks hit their ceilings um against the same Detroit Lions secondary pretty much all season right Gino Smith the thing is with the quarterbacks right these these guys like a Bryce Young or Gino Smith they struggle when they get pressure the issue is the lines just don't bring any pressure they they can't get pressure on the quarterback that's why you see Gino Smith win win the Mills last week so I I like Bryce Young a ton especially when you add in the fact that um There's a bunch of unknowns in terms of the wide receivers, right?

17:23

Jalen Coker's expected not to suit up here. So you've got two tight ends, three tight ends, really, that get intertwined. You've got a bunch of these other ancillary wide receivers. We saw last week it was – It was Bryson Tremayne, but John Mechie's still there. You have Mitchell Evans who gets some snaps at the tight end position, like I said. So when that's the case, I think Bryce Young makes a lot more sense up in the captain spot when you can see, number one, it's a great matchup.

17:51

Number two, there's a lot of unknowns where everyone thinks they kind of know who it's going to with Darden Waller and Ted McMillan and then the punt being Bryson Tremayne just because that's what we saw last week. So take us into the captain position. I kind of gave an overview here and alluded to some of the guys that I like, but how do you see this captain position shaken out here for this nice game? Yeah, it's Gibbs.

18:15

It's Gibbs for me, number one, for the Lions. Number two for me is going to be Ted on the other side. Ran routes on ninety two percent of the dropbacks last week. He's Bryce's number one guy. I would say I would even call him one B in Jalen Coker's not playing tonight. So that just elevates Ted even more at $13,500. I love that price. I think he can get there on his own.

18:36

He would be a distant number two for me. And then Amon Ra, if you're just going to pepper Amon Ra and have Amon Ra go straight seedy lamb from today, Amon Ra has done that before. He catches fifteen for one hundred and fifty and a touch. Definitely like that. And I think you've got to throw in the two quarterbacks, like you said. I do like Young ahead of Goff. He's three hundred dollars cheaper and he has a little bit more rushing upside.

19:02

I think he ran two in the first game of the season where Goff's not really going to run it. So I would have Young ahead of Goff for me. But it's Gibbs. It's Tett. It's Amin Ra. Then it's the two QBs to follow that for my five favorite captains. Yeah, no, I definitely like that. Um, Gibbs obviously number one for me, I'll probably match the field to be honest. I'll probably play around thirty percent Gibbs captain.

19:23

Um, just maybe, I mean, as it shakes out, I expect him to kind of come in higher than that. I ran the dry run ham here and got eighty one percent Jameer Gibbs in the captain position, which then leads the flex position to be a bunch of Darden Waller, Bryson Tremayne, um, The kickers and that just because salary is pretty loose overall, even with him up there. I do lean, like you said, Bryce Young over Jared Goff for sure.

19:50

So my captain rankings, I go Gibbs number one, just de facto. It's hard to argue his floor and ceiling combination with his current setup here. I actually like Bryce Young as my second favorite captain for the reasons I alluded to earlier. He's going to be right around five percent owned in the captain spot. There's a bunch of unknowns. He could spread it out to a bunch of different guys, right?

20:08

Not having Jalen Coker, who was second on the team in routes run through the first three weeks of the season here, only behind Tett McMillan. Chuba Hubbard was actually second. So Chuba's involved in the past game. McMillan, obviously. Waller, you got Tremble running a bunch of routes. You got these other guys, Tremayne and Metchie. You also have some of these other guys. Mitchell Evans gets some snaps out there. David Moore, these other ancillary wide receiver.

20:36

So I just think there's a lot of options to spread it out. Whereas I think on the Detroit side, it's much more condensed. It's Gibbs, it's Amon Ra, it's sometimes Jamison Williams and LaPorta. But really, I mean, so much of the offense runs through Jameer Gibbs that I just think it's easier to pinpoint on the Lions side of the ball. So that's why I don't really like Goff up in the captain position.

20:56

If I'm playing a quarterback, it is definitely Bryce Young, like I alluded to. I think Chuba's a decent play as well. I know you don't like Chubb there, but this dude's just so involved in this offense here. It is a good matchup. The Lions really can't stop a nosebleed on defense. That's why I expect points. I'm playing – I think this game goes over the total.

21:12

I know that's kind of the common route, but everyone is more so slamming the Lions side in and not really respecting Carolina enough because – it allows right all the values really on the Carolina side so then people are playing the studs on Detroit side so um I think playing some of these middling captains I think of Jameson Williams is interesting just because he always has the capability to break it he's $10,500 up there gets you some LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. 22:00

Ideally, my captain pool is going to be pretty focused around Gibbs, Amonra, Bryce Young, Hubbard, McMillan. Those are kind of my five main guys that I'm looking at. Jamison Williams, LaPorta would be six and seven if you wanted to add some. I think Darden Waller. What's your thoughts on Darden Waller up top?

22:17

I mean, you probably – I know he's super cheap, gets you on a different Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. But does he really have the ceiling to go out there? And I know there's no Jalen Coker, so you should you could see more. Darren Waller is kind of that that that slot guy lining up out wide more.

22:45

But I just I don't know what his ceiling is. And I think he's going to get over rostered for what his upside is. And I don't really know what more it gets you in terms of roster construction. Any thoughts on Darden Waller there? Yeah, I mean, I'm out on Darden Waller. I mean, if you're talking captain or in the flex, he's playing roughly fifty percent of the snaps, running about fifty percent of the routes. He had two touchdowns in Atlanta.

23:09

So you're going to have to throw out a pretty tight needle to get him to make him viable. And I'm just not going to go there. Not when you have Tremayne, not when you have Metchie, the third. So, yeah, I'm out on I'm out on Waller, definitely for the captain, probably not in the playoffs. In the flex as well. We got trouble in Paradise Nays. We got Minnesota on the ropes, baby. So let's go. Come on, fans. Let's fin up.

23:33

Get forty percent of the people out of Survivor Pool. Is that what they were on? Forty? Yeah, they were forty. I mean, this is just a bloodbath year for Survivor. I'll tell you that right now. It's just any given Sunday right in the NFL. Getting back to this game, captains, I think it's pretty easy on the Lions side. It's Amon Ra, it's Jamison Williams, it's Gibbs. It's the three main ones. LaPorta would be the fourth.

23:55

And then on the Carolina side, I really like Bryce Lowen. Like I said, Chubb Hubbard and Ted McMillan are kind of the three main guys. I'm buying on Hubbard and McMillan both, along with Bryce Young, and I'll probably be playing more captains from... The Carolina side and just hoping it's that way. I just seen so much from this Detroit Lions defense allowing so many points to pretty much every position on the field. So I do like that overall.

24:23

I don't really love the tight ends up in the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗ just because I think it leads you into a pretty similar roster construction overall. And I don't love that on a slate like this. So that's enough from the captain position. I think here jumping over to the flex ham, we got, uh, quarterbacks, um, golf, $10,000 on the road outdoors, right? I know people are talking about that in prime time, right? Pull up, pull the tapes, pull, pull the numbers, right?

24:50

Run his track record on that. Um, Bryce Young, $9,800. I like Bryce Young a ton. Goff is going to be higher owned just because right lines have their favorite on the road. They have a bigger implied team total. They project better. I like flipping it personally myself. But what's your take here, Goff and Bryce Young? Yeah, no, I'm with you there. Like I said earlier, I mean, I like Bryce Young's rushing upside. He is at home.

25:17

Someone mentioned weather in the in the chat. I did not see any weather there. I did not see any weather tonight. So I got Young, though. I like Ted. I mean, that secondary nades is bad, bad there. If you can make Geno Smith a millionaire winner, then you can make Bryce Young, who I don't think is any good either, a winner as well. So give me some Bryce Young over Jared Goff. But I don't hate Jared Goff.

25:43

Jared Goff played well at, you know, came on late against Buffalo, who was not any good at defense either. So I don't mind Goff either, but I think they're both going to be pivotal for tonight's game. Yeah, how many – so a question to ask you here, Ham. Double quarterback here. What do you think – how much do you think the field plays two quarterbacks here in a lineup, whether one's at the captain or not? Yeah, I say the answer is yes.

26:12

I mean, percentage-wise, sixty, seventy percent. And the reason I say that is because there's going to be tons of passing volume in this game. It should be high scoring. That's how I'm playing. I think the field sees that as well. The total's a high total. The Lions can't play. Everybody knows all that. You're not sneaking that past anyone. So I think people are going to want pass catchers. They're going to want somebody cheaper in the and the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗.

26:38

Um, and then that way you can jam in a lot of the, more of the studs. So, um, when I build personally, I want two quarterbacks, especially tonight. Cause I think it's going to be in the twenties, you know, if not in the thirties as well for both teams. Yeah. I'm just trying to see, I mean, I'm seeing, I'm just running some stuff through stuff that I'm seeing here.

27:00

I mean, I expect like roughly, like roughly, like roughly, like roughly thirty to forty percent of the field to play both quarterbacks in their lineup. Um, I don't know... Typically in these high total games, we have seen the double quarterbacks kind of come through there. I'm just trying to find a way to get onto a different Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. It includes where you spend or save, which positions you prioritize, and how your players fit together.Build two versions around your biggest spending decision, then compare every player who changes. Revisit the comparison when injury news changes the available value.Full explanation ↗ than what the field is here. So that is something to kind of monitor there.

27:26

Because I think you could very easily play, instead of playing two quarterbacks, I think you could easily drop a Jared Goff or Bryce Young down to a Chubb, a Tatt, or up to in a monorail, something like that, right? And just maybe play it a little bit more condensed that the quarterbacks don't really both get there at the same time. I don't know. I'm just kind of looking through it a little bit.

27:56

It seems like a pretty heavy margin of lineups that are going to have both quarterbacks here, which I get the reasoning, right? I get it. All the things you alluded to make sense there. I'm a little worried about – so much of the field just slamming both of these guys in there. I mean, $10,000 and $9,800 is a pretty hefty price point when you have a Monroe who can PPR his way there.

28:18

Jameer Gibbs at twelve K who obviously can do everything. So it is just an interesting thought overall. But let's take us into take us into the running back position here. Obviously, it's Jameer Gibbs far and away on the Detroit side. But Vaki, I think at $3,000 is a little interesting here. He hasn't really cut into Gibbs too much, but I mean, he's $3,000. Any any any thought on him? But the other one I'm seeing is A.J. Dillon as well.

28:49

It's really Chubb. Gibbs are by far and away the two main guys here. But any any thoughts on these other ancillary running backs, the A.J. Dillon's of the world, the C.O. And Vaki's of the world? The thing with Vocky, and I obviously don't love Vocky, but he did play the most snaps he's played at any point in the season. He played thirty one percent of the snaps last week, which was the most he played all season.

29:19

But man, it's it make if you want if you wanted to fade Gibbs in a GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Full explanation ↗, I guess you could and play this Vocky cat. But man, it's tough. So it's Gibbs. And then, yeah, I think we differ. I mean, even though Hubbard You know, even though Hubbard played, I think, eighty four percent of the snaps. No, Brooks. A.J. Dillon is not very good anymore since he was jumping into the Lambeau leap.

29:43

I'm going to be lower on Hubbard because I think there's good. I just I'm going to play a passing game tonight. I'm going to play the cheap pass catchers for the Panthers. I'm obviously going to play Tet. I'm going to play the quarterback. Let's look at me. He had nineteen attempts last week, so they are going to feed him the rock. And he's a he's a pretty good ball player.

29:59

But I'm going to be lower on Hubbard than maybe the field and on Gibbs and not playing. I'm not getting to these running backs either, Nades. But you know why? Because I can get to these. I can get to Metchie and Tremayne at the same price almost. Right. One's cheaper, one's a little bit more expensive. So I'm out on Bakke and not not playing Dillon either.

30:17

Yeah, so the issue – the pushback I give you with Hubbard is, I mean, this dude's second on the team in routes run behind Tett McMillan overall on the season. And now you take Jalen Coker out and you take Xavier Leggett out. Leggett was sixth on the team. Coker was second overall. So that bumps – I mean, the routes run perspective, it's Tett, it's Chubb, and then it's the tight ends. Waller, Tremble, and Tremayne probably is the other guy that's going to slide up there.

30:43

So – That's why I just think the floor-ceiling combination from a guy like Chubb Hubbard, he's going to get owned as such. But I do think it's still a really good play overall. I do like him up in the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗. He's probably a little owned, a little over-owned. At least we're showing a little over-owned in the captain position. But I do like both the running backs a lot there. I think Sion Vaki is kind of interesting as well, especially if – You're playing a Lions heavy script.

31:08

I just don't think many people are going to have Vaki in there. I think you're playing with Gibbs, and who's to say the Lions just – I mean, the Lions definitely could come in here and just kind of roll them up. I like the Panthers a little bit more in this game in general. I'm not playing A.J. Dillon. I'd rather play Hamwich at his current state than A.J. Dillon. So if I'm playing one of them, it'd be Vaki, but it's really those two guys.

31:33

Not much more to say. Running back's pretty cut and dry on this slate. Um, with, with these two teams in particular here, wide receivers worship, uh, stuff gets interesting. Oh, overall here, um, a monorot, that's a pretty hefty price point to play in the flex. He's more expensive than both the quarterbacks and he's only a thousand dollars cheaper than Jameer Gibbs. He doesn't need to score touchdowns to get there. Right.

31:56

He can do kind of the CD lamb, um, line that we saw this, uh, today, um, lamb had like what, thirty eight DraftKings points before he even scored a touchdown. Um, Seventeen receptions, a hundred plus yards. I mean, that's definitely in Ramon Ross capabilities here. He can be like ten for one, twenty and zero guy. And that's definitely enough at that. But the more interesting part here overall is the ancillary wide receivers for Carolina.

32:24

The whole field is going to play Bryson Tremayne because it's a recency week bias. Everyone saw last week. You take a look at week three, right? Coker got injured early in that game, only ran seventeen routes, got injured. After that, it was a ton of Tremayne. Tremaine ran thirty nine routes last week, second on the team overall behind Tett McMillian, even more than Chubb Hubbard. So he's the guy that everyone wants to go to. He is the big play guy.

32:51

He does have the more upside and the ceiling, but Metchie is still there running routes. They're still going to mix in Tommy Tremble, Mitchell Evans. These guys are still going to get routes out there. I am a little worried. I mean, I think Tremaine's a really good cash play. I just think – So many people. I mean, so many of the teams are going to be both quarterbacks, Gibbs and Amon.

33:11

I'll pick one of those and throw in Tremayne and whoever else fits is kind of how the slate is going to shake up. It's probably both quarterbacks, Gibbs, LaPorta, Tremayne and figure out your sixth piece is really what the kind of Cash GameA cash game is a contest that pays a large share of the field, usually close to half, the same flat prize. Fifty-fifties, double-ups and head-to-heads are the common cash games.Treat cash games as the steady base of your bankroll. Use one safe core across your cash entries on a slate, and save riskier ideas for tournaments.Full explanation ↗ and how the slate is shaken up. So how do you shake up this wide receiver room here?

33:31

The main the main one is definitely on the panther side with all these other guys David Moore's the jaseem reed who I think is really interesting at two hundred dollars um I'm seeing really low OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ on him and who's to say that he can't just slide in there uh but how do you see this overall Yeah, someone mentioned Jasim Reed, and I don't even know who that is, so I can't wait to hear you tell me who he is.

33:52

But to me, it's super tough to get off Bryson Tremayne. And the reason being is because of his price, $2,600. I get it. He's going to be popular, but rightfully so. He ran seventy six percent of the routes last week. Thirty nine routes, seventy six percent shared. He's going to be out there. He got numerous targets as well. Had a really good game. I mean, he's going to start and play a bunch.

34:15

So at that price tag, for me, it's hard to get off. Whereas a guy like John Metchie III, former Alabama great, he's a little bit tougher to play because his time could be impacted. He played around fifty-five percent of the routes last week. You got this, just see him read. You got people talking about, do they go more two tights now? The, the game plan obviously wasn't for Coker to get hurt. So they kind of had a scramble.

34:37

Maybe that's why he played so much, but I think Bryson terrain is, is squarely entrenched in playing, you know, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, and then, can get there in both game scripts, right? He can get there in a trailing Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Full explanation ↗, like we saw in Buffalo, or he can get there.

35:03

To rack up the points and yards and touchdowns like he's done numerous times as well. So I do love Amon Ra. And then I think the case for Jamison, you kind of alluded to it earlier, is like for Jamison to hit his ceiling at $7,000 and to be viable, he's going to eat into Gibbs.

35:21

So if you build a Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Full explanation ↗ where Jamo took an eighty yard bomb to the house or an end around to the house, something like that, obviously Gibbs isn't getting those fantasy points. So that's how I think Williams on this offense is, is kind of viable is you're going into it building a team with golf, and not not so much playing Gibbs because Jamo Jamo's ceiling games impact gives the most if that makes sense. Yeah, no, for sure.

35:51

I definitely like if you're kind of under on Jamo, I would probably or under on Gibbs. I would probably look at Vaki getting a little work and maybe the Detroit just goes more run heavy and kind of gives Vaki a little bit more work behind Gibbs. But it'd really be the explosive plays of Jamison Williams, right? $7,000 in the flex, $10,500 in the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗. I probably prefer Jamo up top more so than in the flex, but he's good in both.

36:21

His ceiling is obviously there. This is a spot usually you see people buying on Jamison Williams, but it's been so bad for him that I think this is a perfect opportunity here to buy low on a guy like Jamo. When everybody on Detroit wants to play Gibbs, Goff, Amonra, LaPorta, because that's what we've seen so far. Who's to not say that, hey, maybe the Lions go out there and let's get Jamo involved here. And who better than against the Panthers on the road here?

36:53

In a fifty one and a half point total. Right. So I do like your breakdown there. I think TeSlaa is a little interesting as well. It's been really bad for him. But I mean, TeSlaa at $4,200, he's a little bit more expensive than guys like Metchie, Tremayne and He's a two hundred dollars less than Darden Waller, who's going to be half the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. 37:19

So I do think there's a lot of interesting ways to go overall in the wide receiver position. My favorite would be Tet. I just I like Ted a lot. I think just seeing reads in play at two hundred dollars because again, there's a lot of unknowns there. Our guy in the chat's talking about Metchie getting the returning and maybe just seeing Reed gets get some of his routes there. It's just really up in the up in the air.

37:45

You really can't get rid of any of these Carolina guys, the Metchie, the Tremaine's, the Davis Moore's of the world. Just see him reads. I'm not really messing with a guy like Tate Martin at eight hundred bucks. The lion's side is really cut and dry from the wide receiver. It's a monoron. It's Jameson Williams are really the two guys.

38:02

Tesla would be the sub ten percent on guy that has shown a ceiling to break a slate and get you on a different Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. It includes where you spend or save, which positions you prioritize, and how your players fit together.Build two versions around your biggest spending decision, then compare every player who changes. Revisit the comparison when injury news changes the available value.Full explanation ↗ in that $4,000 range when everyone else is clicking Darden Waller. So I do think he's a little interesting. I don't really have much more to break down from. The wide receiver position overall. Tight ends is really interesting here. I like the tight ends quite a bit. LaPorta and Waller both look really good, but don't sleep on my guy Tommy Tremble.

38:31

I like Tremble here and I like Mitchell Evans. I like both of them. Lions have been bleeding, bleeding, absolutely bleeding points to the tight end position here. Waller is going to be the only guy that gets played. Tremble a little bit, but I mean, ten to fifteen percent at $2,400. Not really much to worry about. Mitchell Evans has has I feel like this guy has won me a bunch of money.

38:55

Last year he's had, I don't know if it's been on Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗ or what, but How do you see the tight end position here? The Brock rights of the world. He can trickle in a little bit. I just think a lot of these punt guys are a lot more viable on a slate like this where Gibbs is $18,000 in the captain position. A monorail $16,500. We expect a bunch of points.

39:15

You I mean, two catches for thirty yards could be enough from some of these guys at $2,400 $2,000 sixteen hundred. That same same goes for those other wide receivers like the Davis Moore of the world to just seem reads of the world. So How do you see the tight end position here overall? That is pretty cut and dry for me. It's Sam LaPorte and his eighty six percent route participation from week three.

39:36

Not going to not going to play Russian roulette nades with some guy named Tommy Tremble, the corpse of Darden Waller, Brock Wright. I'm going to I'm going to play. I'm going to play Bryson Tremayne at that cheap. And then just jam in the studs, and then like LaPorta is a stud as well, and he can get there on volume, and he can get there on scoring touchdowns as well. So give me some Sam LaPorta.

39:59

That's kind of the security blanket, but he's up there for me, and then no other tight end, none of those guys from Carolina that I'm going to be getting to tonight. Yeah, I do like Tremble quite a bit. And Evans, I just think with how shorthanded, right? You're taking Leggett, obviously, on the IR. Now you're taking Jalen Coker as well. Two guys that were getting a decent amount of routes on this team.

40:24

I mean, they can't just run out Chubb every time out there, right? They need him in the backfield still. And, I mean, they're not just going to thrust Darden Waller into every single snap either. I mean, they want to keep this dude right around fifty percent of snaps overall. But something like that, maybe it comes up a little bit. I just think there's a lot of snaps to go around from this tight end position.

40:44

Evans was already getting – I mean, last week was the first week that his snaps kind of went down. But prior to that, forty percent, fifty-eight percent, which is right there in line. I mean, they're really running a bunch of – two tight end sets. So I like Tremble, Waller, Evans, all three of those guys. I do prefer those guys to Brock Wright. LaPorta is a great play. He's going to be owned as such for a good reason. He's been really involved in this offense.

41:11

And in a lineup where maybe you play, maybe you play like if you're fading Gibbs, I guess, how should I say this? I mean, LaPorta, I mean, maybe like a LaPorta and a Jameson Williams. Williams eats the home run upside of a Jameer Gibbs, and LaPorta eats the PPR from an Amon Rao. Something like that I think is a little interesting way. I don't know how many Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta combinations you're going to see that don't include Gibbs or Amon Rao.

41:48

So something like that I think is a little interesting. But any thoughts overall on that? Yeah, I like that. I like what Aaron says, too.

41:55

I mean, yeah, I mean, Waller plays a lot of his snaps when he gets around the red zone, as we saw in the Atlanta game, but I mean, they got to get down there first and not hit sixty-yard bombs to Tet, so I'm just not, you know, I'm playing limited lineups tonight, higher dollar, lower field, and I'm not going to be getting there tonight, personally, but If you're playing, like, in a lotto, I don't think it's the worst thing. But for me, it's a lot of LaPorta.

42:21

I like what you said about that. Like, if you went J-Mo, Goff, and LaPorta, and they got you the points, and it wasn't a Gibbs and Amon Ron Knight, I mean, I'm watching this Seahawks game now, and there's no way that JSN doesn't get one-fifty and two every week, right, until it happens. And so that could happen tonight. It's any given Sunday. It's a one-game slate. It could be a J-Mo night. They could want to get him rolling. They started to get him rolling last week.

42:47

Maybe this is the game that they really get them going. So I don't hate that. I actually like that call with Jamo. I don't think you said Goff, but Jamo, I'll say Goff and LaPorta and fading a Gibbs and an Amin Ra. Don't hate that, Nades, at all. Yeah, I think it's a little interesting. I'm just trying to find different ways to play the slate overall, and I do like that from the tight end position as well.

43:15

I just I'm going to buy Tommy Tremble and Evans more than Darden Waller. I get it. Darren Waller projects really well. He's been great. He's $4,400. It's too cheap. They're down down past catchers. But I mean, Tremble been involved in this offense big time. Evans is athletic. I like him. So, I mean, you're getting you can get Tremble and Evans for the same price as Darden Waller. And they both could score.

43:39

And I'll do Darden Waller and how many people are going to play those two guys together. So I think that's interesting as well, just because you're going to see so many Darden Waller teams anchored with Gibbs or Amon Ross. So maybe you go a Gibbs, a Gibbs team with Tremble and Evans and you used up two spots there. You don't play both quarterbacks. You only play one quarterback.

44:01

And you go like a Tremble Evans, Bryce Young with Gibbs up top and you fade golf and just say, okay, Gibbs gets a check down or whatever, gets a handoff, breaks it to whatever. Um, so just little things like that, I think is, is kind of interesting as well. Kickers and defenses here, ham, um, Nobody's going to play these defenses. Definitely the Panthers defense at $3,600. I mean, they are at home. There are only a slight underdog.

44:30

Is there a world where Carolina can control this game? I mean, I think there is. So in instances where that I mean, you're probably going to want Chubb Hubbard for sure. With that, but $3,600. I think that's kind of interesting. Lions defense at $4,000. Those are the pivots off that that Darden Waller range in that $4,000 range and then kickers Bates Fitzgerald when there's a lot of points. Kickers have more opportunities, right? Gibbs can break one.

45:00

They can stall out field goals, JMO, all these guys. So I do like the kickers and defenses here, as everyone is. I'm seeing pretty modest OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ on them just because the way the slate shakes up, it's so – concentrated at the top, that it leads to a lot of Stars and ScrubsStars and scrubs is a DFS lineup structure where you spend heavily on several expensive players and fill other roster spots with low-salary players. The cheap players free up salary for the stars; they are not necessarily bad players.Compare the points you gain by upgrading to a star with the points you sacrifice at the cheap spot. Check whether both players still fit your lineup's scoring scenario.Full explanation ↗ builds, right? Where you don't really land on this mid-tier. And if you do, people are clicking in. A guy like Darden Waller, they're finding a little bit more money to get up to a Sam LaPorta.

45:30

Or they're going down cheaper with a guy like Bryson Tremayne, right? So these kickers and defenses kind of land in no man's land. Which makes me like them more. I like all four of them. I'm going to have a decent amount. I do definitely prefer the kickers to the defenses overall, but how do you see the special teams here? Yeah, so for me, Dan Campbell notoriously goes for it on fourth down. So right there, I'm going to not play any Bates.

45:59

I mean, Jake Bates is a great kicker, has a lot of distance, but he goes for it a lot. On the flip side – My boy Ryan Fitzgerald, fifteen, ten, eight. They're not afraid to trot him out there. So, you know, I don't love Fitzgerald tonight, especially at $4,800 bucks. But he would be the one that I would play. And then what I learned from you is like as it relates to defenses, you got $4,000, you got $3,200.

46:26

No, I'm sorry. $3,600. All it takes is one scoop and score, pick six, deflection, Aiden Hutchinson coming off the end and hitting that ball out, and you're off to the races. And then, you know, you're Golden for the rest of the day at that matter. So it's Fitzgerald for me, no Bates. I don't love these Lions or Panthers defenses, but if I wanted to get different, something like that, I think it's certainly viable.

46:51

But I'm going to try not to play the defenses if I can help it. Yeah, no, it's definitely – I do think Fitzgerald my favorite overall. He's going to be lower owned than Bates as well, which typically is the case, right? The underdog kicker always is under-owned compared to the favorite kicker. But, I mean, we're talking a fifty-one and a half point total here. And Carolina, I expect them to move the ball. Bryce Young can make mistakes in the red zone and fizzle out.

47:15

Aiden Hutchinson can get a sack, knock him out, things like that. So, I do like Fitzgerald a ton at $4,800. I just think, I mean – Sam LaPorta dropped down to Fitzgerald, leave the leave the $2,200. I mean, you just cut your dupes big time, something something like that. Little little things like that I think are interesting, but more so they're just sandwiched between LaPorta and Bryson Tremayne.

47:38

Nobody in this $3,000 to $6,600 range is really getting played outside of Darden Waller. Tremaine and LaPorta. I mean, these other guys are going to get played some, but it's not really, I mean, Waller going to dwarf them in terms of ownership, Tremayne, LaPorta. So I just think it's a no man's land. It goes back to my point earlier of less stars and scrubs and more kind of just building differently than what the field is. We talk about it all the time.

48:07

It's not about the picks and plays. Nobody knows shit at the end of the day. We have no clue what's going to happen. We can't predict anything, but what we can do is we can predict how The FieldThe field is everyone else entered in a contest, the group of lineups you are competing against. Before you build, picture the typical lineup in your contest. Then decide on purpose where you'll match it and where you'll step away from it.Full explanation ↗ is going to build and build against it.

48:16

And I think just doing that more middling type of build where you're not as stars and scrubs heavy, you're not playing the Tremayne of the world when everybody's playing them to afford Gibbs and Amonra and both quarterbacks. Why not play some kickers, play some defenses and just say maybe this game goes under, right? Who's to say this game has to go over here in the spot? It is Sunday night. Yeah, so that's just some additional takes there.

48:45

I just think it lands you in no man's land, like I said. And I think for that reason, they're going to get underplayed. And we've seen kickers and defenses win tons of slates overall. Any additional takes overall here from the Showdown (Captain and MVP)NFL Showdown lets you select players from one football game, including eligible quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, kickers and team defenses. Your Captain or MVP receives the contest's scoring multiplier.Compare complete lineups with different players in the multiplier slot. Leaving salary unused can reduce duplication, but do not sacrifice meaningful scoring potential just to make your lineup unusual.Full explanation ↗ game? Yeah, no, I don't think so. I'm going to look at some, I'm going to look at some JMO LaPorta teams. I like that.

49:10

You taught me on the, that I'm so I'm going to, I'm going to play one of those in your honor, try to find a good one there. Uh, I think it's going to be high scoring.

49:17

Uh, like you said, everybody thinks that they're going to probably build that, but if you build to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, to a, I mean, I just, yeah, the more I look at this, I just, I don't know.

49:42

I think just the recency bias, I think, is just leading so many people to the same place on tonight's slate. And this is the perfect example to kind of zig when everyone else zags. So taking a look at these other ancillary guys like a TeSlaa, a Metchie, who's going to be a fraction of the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ compared to Tremayne. And I mean, they're basically the same play. Tremaine is going to be fifty percent. Mechie is going to be twelve percent. Right. Like it's one slate.

50:07

It's one position. It's the same position. Tremble. Same thing. $2,400. I mean, he's right there. He's going to be one fifth the ownership of Tremayne for two hundred dollars less. Right. Little things like that. I think you don't need to get crazy. You don't need to get off the wall. Tremaine looks great. He projects great. He's going to be on like that. That's kind of my biggest thing is it's not about finding these diamond in the roughs.

50:30

It's just playing a little bit differently with these guys have pretty similar opportunity. I mean, we expect points. We expect the ball to go around. Bryce Young typically spreads it around anyways, especially without Jalen Coker on the field. We don't know what this is going to really look like. We're basing it off half a game of football when Coker looked to be wide receiver one for this offense. Let's try and stay on for inactives here.

50:58

Inactives should drop in about nine minutes or so, ten minutes. Any additional thoughts for the chat? Yeah, no, the inactive should come out right now because the game's at seven twenty. What about what about our boy in the Mills? How's he how's he looking? Addison just had a catch. Yeah, let's let me refresh here and pull that up. I've gotten up to eighth in the million FD, but I have the Raiders D and they gave him a touchdown. So I'm not there.

51:25

So Frankie FJ born. Look at this. I mean, how good is he still like he's always in contention. I'm still in fifth. Yeah, still in fifth for fifty G's off a ticket. So that's good to see one drop. Really good player, obviously, always up there. Utah. Yeah. I mean, let's look at what the twenty dollar. I mean, I don't really know. Twenty dollar. Anyone really up here right now? Shady. Yeah, your typical suspects up here.

52:02

But, yeah, I mean, he – I know Jeanty went out for a little bit, but I think he's back. Oh, did he? Yeah, he had returned to the game. So, for our guy, Jill, if Jeanty can come back and bust one, I mean, he doesn't need much, man. Like, I don't know if he can get all the way home because this lineup's pretty nutted with the script that the game is going. I mean, look at T.J. Hockinson.

52:27

What a – what a terrible mistake that was for me by that switch that, that two V two that I dropped on my man, my main Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Full explanation ↗ team, just absolutely horrendous. They're just, just pretty brutal. But, uh, yeah. What are you, uh, are you sweating right now? No, I mean, I'm not sweating anything.

52:51

I'm going to have, I have, uh, Aaron Jones and, uh, and the uh Raiders d but I'm in like fifteenth I mean I'm not gonna catch okay whoever yeah I just want to pull up I wouldn't mind Aaron Jones getting eleven yards and a touchdown I want to pull up this check it out yeah so

53:17

This is I mean this is killing me my two v two here was braylon allen Jets defense well it was braylon allen Jets defense and Dalton Schultz versus I had giovante t.j hockinson Rams defense I mean that's a twenty forty some point swing forty some point swing I'd be at one ninety I'd be top five right now for five g's nice suck you know well that's not good what

54:01

Is this oh whom I am I I do got a little mini sweat let's see what this sweat is uh so young Bryce Young captain you want two pass catchers I mean I don't force it um I do think Bryce Young has upside on the ground I know Ham likes likes his rushing there let me look what's uh what's Bryce Young's rushing prop here I got a nice little sweat going on, Nades. Hold on. Where? On Fando?

54:34

I can't pull it up because Fando is- I know. It's fine. I mean, I need- Fando's ass. I need Brock Bowers. Brock Bowers for sure. Yeah, yeah. I need Brock Bowers too. So Bryce Young's fourteen and a half rushing prop. Give me some BCB, man. Come on, BCB. Let me send us some – I do think the more I look at this ham here – what's your thoughts here? Bryce Young, two pass catchers.

55:08

I don't know if I force it, but I just think there's so many options that he can throw to. I mean, you got Chubb Hubbard who's big time involved. Obviously, you got Tett. But then after that, I mean, you got three tight ends that get involved. You don't know what the split's going to look like between Metchie, Tremayne, Davis Moore, these other guys, the – just seeing reads of the world.

55:29

So I would probably set that up that way just so you can filter in around Bryce Young and just make sure not every Bryce Young captain team has Tett McMillan and Darden Waller like everybody else has. So I do think I would probably play, if I'm playing Bryce Young captain, I would probably use at least two pass catchers, which would include Chubb Hubbard. Any thoughts on that? Sorry, I was looking at my phone. You said if you played Bryce, you would play Chubb or would not?

56:06

No, the thought was if you're playing Bryce Young, captain. Yeah, can you hear me? Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, yeah. The thought was if you're playing Bryce Young, captain. Can you hear me? Yeah, I got you. Would you force two pass catchers? Oh, down goes juice, by the way. What's up? You, Shaq, got hurt. Sorry, I interrupted you. If I'm playing Bryce Young captain, what's the question? Would you force two pass catchers?

56:40

I think you kind of do, one of them being, including Chubb Hubbard. Just because, I mean, I know Bryce Young can run, but, I mean, his rushing prop's fourteen and a half with heavy juice to be under there. Yeah, so, yeah, to me it's two pass catchers for sure. I just think there's so many pass catchers to go around, right, to filter through. I mean, you've got three tight ends that get involved. You've got Tatt and all these other guys.

57:12

So, yeah, I do like that quite a bit. Did you just see what Hawkins just did? He fell down at the one. He didn't score. He would have – oh, my gosh. Hawkinson fell down at the one game over. Yeah, he just said, screw, I'm not going to score. He wasn't like that selfish guy for the Giants who ran it back a hundred yards. Yeah, I mean, that is the right play. That is the right play overall. One hundred percent. Game's over.

57:47

One hundred percent. He's not selfish like that guy on the Giants that ran it back a hundred yards for no reason. Yeah, I'm just tilting myself. I mean, my gosh, what a horrible, horrible two-v-two swaparoo there. It happens. Yeah, I mean, just free fucking falling down the cliff here. When will these losers put out their inactives? Oh, Jalen Coker's inactive. We knew that. All right, yeah.

58:19

So let me get the inactives, and then we can, I think – If you want to give a play of the day, we can then jump out of here. Tataroya McMillan. Yeah, he's on IR. We knew that. So inactives. Lions, nothing. So... Hold on. I'm signed out of Twitter for some reason. Do you have the full, is there any other surprises ones? Obviously we knew Jalen Coker was going to be inactive, but any, any other ones?

59:11

That's the only one that they've posted so far. And Detroit, Detroit, for whatever reason, hasn't listed theirs. Hold on. Let me see. Chat, does anyone else have any answers? Ben Bartsch, Tyler Conklin. Yeah, no starters. Yeah, no starters. Nah, Devin White. The corpse of Devin White. Yeah. And Justin Herbert down bad. Yeah. Yeah. No. Good grief. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Fuck T.J. Hawkinson, man. I'm just kicking myself. What a – just a great play. That was a great play by him. That was a very smart play.

1:00:08

That's winning football. That's why you're four and O, because you make plays like that. Mm-hmm. All right. I think play of the day, Pam. Play of the day before we get out of here. McMillan. Oh, wow, you really went on a limb there. Congratulations. McMillan does his best Garrett Wilson impression. He's on the winner. He's in the captain. Love it. All right, I'm going Bryce Young captain. I think Bryce Young, I think the quarterbacks are getting sold here overall. It's definitely Bryce Young up top.

1:00:40

I like Bryce Young a ton, . I'm not going to go in and just play Bryce Young with – Darren Waller and Ted McMillan in the flex like everyone else is. I think going to some of these other guys, right, the Tommy Tremble of the world, the Mitchell Evans of the world, I think you can play just seeing Reed down at two hundred bucks. So I do like that quite a bit. That's going to be kind of my stand here tonight.

1:01:04

Bryce Young, captain with at least two pass catchers, including Chubb Hubbard into that that that rule there is how I see it. Any additional thoughts before we get out of here? No, it was a good show as always. Jinty just busted one. Mike Evans down at the one. So, yeah, great show. I love watching these games and talking a little ball. Appreciate everybody tuning in. 1:04:37

I know Jeremy Roenick and Eric Lindroth are very good plays this year. Make sure you're getting them in your lineup and looking forward to some NHL. Sounds good. Yes, sir. Wayne Gretzky, too. Lock him into your lineups. That's always good. But for him, that's going to do it. We're going to jump out of here and watch the end of these games here. Justin Herbert just went down. That might help the Chargers season out. But, yeah, for him, I'm Nades. Good luck tonight in those contests.
