Shows / NFL/ Thursday, September 10, 2026
From the archive. This breakdown is for the Thursday, September 10 NFL slate. Salaries, weather and picks were for that day.
Latest NFL show →Mike Petta, Tyler Tamboline and Zach Trivett expect more offense in 49ers–Rams than the previous showdown, with several viable captain paths. Christian McCaffrey offers the strongest floor through receiving work, while Puka Nacua remains a premium option. Blake Corum ($4,600) is an elite DraftKings flex value because he receives complete drives and scoring opportunities. Kyren Williams and Davante Adams offer captain leverage, while Brock Purdy is preferred to Matthew Stafford at DraftKings captain.
De'Zhaun Stribling ($6,600) is the preferred San Francisco receiver after accounting for salary and projected ownership. Terrance Ferguson supplies popular tight-end value, with Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee offering alternatives, especially on FanDuel. Kickers are preferred to defenses, although 49ers defense provides a contrarian value route. Rams-heavy builds should dominate because their cheap options fit the expensive stars. Stafford improves at FanDuel MVP, while Williams and Adams can differentiate builds using chalky Ferguson.
| Play | Call | The Take | At |
|---|---|---|---|
| CAPTAIN | Split captain interest: a cheap route to fitting stars is viable, but others prefer flex because a sufficient captain ceiling may require multiple touchdowns. | 17:39 | |
| CAPTAIN | A primary captain option with elite receiving-floor appeal, although some tournament builds reduce exposure to reach lower-owned alternatives. | 21:31 | |
| CAPTAIN | Preferred to Stafford at DraftKings captain because he can distribute touchdowns across more receivers and McCaffrey. | 21:56 | |
| CAPTAIN | A primary captain option expected to draw substantial ownership, with cheaper or lower-owned captains offering alternative constructions. | 23:29 | |
| CAPTAIN | Low-owned touchdown upside makes him a strong alternative to Puka, including FanDuel MVP builds that can omit Puka and use a more balanced lineup. | 23:29 | |
| CAPTAIN | A low-owned captain chance supported by preseason performance and the possibility that his usage exceeds the field's expectations. | 23:29 | |
| CORE | Elite flex option to use as much as roster construction allows, including alongside McCaffrey because of his receiving production. | 29:31 | |
| CORE | Elite flex option in an offense expected to move the ball and rely on his passing when it needs a play. | 29:31 | |
| CORE | Get as much exposure as practical because his receiving workload creates an exceptional floor and potential checkdowns against pressure. | 31:29 | |
| CAPTAIN | Preferred at captain over flex if ownership remains low, with touchdown upside especially attractive at FanDuel MVP despite Corum's meaningful workload. | 32:02 |
Systems go. Clear for lift off. What's up, everyone? Tyler Tamboline here, a.k.a. ToeTagginTambo, back for another edition of the Showdown Show, Showdown Shippers. Here on the Ship It Nation YouTube station, we got Thursday Night Football coming off a really fun Monday night. Not for all. I know Darnold going out and A.J. Brown getting injured and so on and so forth, but a fun show. Nonetheless, yesterday got Hoop and Title here with me again today as usual, but we had the...
Eli Raridon, touchdown to kick off the slate. And that was incredible after the back and forth banter on here yesterday. And Title, I know, I'll bring you in. I know you had some action on old Eli yesterday after we described him and who had the funny line just saying, well, that's Title's boy. That's right up his alley. How'd that go for you, my friend? What's going on? Yeah, I mean, I was like three X to field him at two percent.
But yeah, other than that, I got dusted yesterday. One of us didn't get dusted, though, and that was you. So like I told you pre-show, I didn't say congrats yet because I still look at those pretty much all or nothing, seventy $5,000 worth or whatever. Versus $4,000 what you'd get for seconds. So good luck to you if you play tonight or when you do. I mean, I had like eighty eight percent Darnold.
So I was drawing pretty thin after the first drive. Hey, we talk about that, though. Bankroll ManagementBankroll management is how you size your DFS spending relative to the money you have set aside to play, called your bankroll, so normal losing streaks do not wipe you out.Write down your per-slate limit before the season starts. Spending rules are much easier to keep when you set them before a losing streak, not during one.Full explanation ↗. That's how some slates are going to go, especially if you play tournaments. You should expect to lose a lot more than you win. So nice thing is we can fire right back up tonight. Yeah, you betcha. That's the best part for sure. Appreciate you. Like I say, it's definitely, uh, you know, awesome to get a chance of those that didn't follow.
I got the tiebreaker in the fantasy football world championship for the first seat of the season. Uh, ending is the opponent's name. We'll see if we play it tonight or I think it has to be on a showdown slate. So it's going to be a head to head. It's supposed to be tonight, but we'll see if he responds back. But yeah, it's, uh, It's nothing really for second versus if you get in, you got everything.
You got the seat, the guaranteed money, the trip, the chance of the afternoon contest, the two point five million for first. So it's a lot of fun from that perspective. But it was a good thing. Like you said, like the Darnold stuff, I was more surprised to kick it over to you and bring you in. Man, there were some lock lovers out there last night. Like I'd like people. It's not even a crystal ball.
They just think Darnold weak or he's going to get injured or somebody. It feels crazy. Like it felt like there was a lot of lineups out there. More than usual, you would suspect with lock. We have people with them in the captain. I thought it was just crazy, but I guess people don't have the faith in the quarterback sometimes, which what was your thoughts on the lock action last night? Any, any over there for you?
Well, he was the best quarterback in the game last night. Right. So, I mean, that's, that's, that's one thing. I mean, he outperformed the, the, the guy on the other side. I mean, Drake may look awful. I mean, I just don't even understand how you make that throw at the end of the game.
Like you're in the NFL if you're an NFL quarterback that had all that success last season like you'd think you would have learned some lessons and as soon as he he starts chucking that thing up like it's like no like you just never make that throw and that was terrible but yeah in terms of like DFS like the backup quarterback thing is just so so funny like you know minutes into the first game of the season uh starting quarterback gets hurt and then uh you know the backup is in and you know people are gonna play it because it's one in the past.
And, you know, more so if anyone's doing that, you know, every single time they're clearly just donating money long-term because you still have to get everything else right to go along with it. But yeah, it was interesting. And then, yeah, of course, I mean, after our little clip yesterday about the, you know, the, the rare, rare thing guy, rare done steak, well done steak, the joke.
And as soon as that happened, I was like, man, we got the perfect, we got the perfect clip queued up for this. And our, our team got that out there right away, which was, Good to see it was a little fun back and forth. And it's probably a sign of good things to come. I mean, the first joke of the season, like the little banter back and forth. We had some fun with it yesterday. Pays off right out of the gate.
And I hope everyone kind of bumped up their their rared in exposure. After our little clip of that. So, yeah, I mean, you know, in terms of the game overall, we talked about it for sure yesterday, where we kind of had the feeling where it could be an ugly, grinded-out sort of game. I think it would have been like that either way, honestly, even if Darnold didn't get hurt. I think we would have had a similar game to that.
You know, really just overall talking about the game, kudos to the Seahawks. I mean, it's very rare where you see a starting quarterback go down and the team's still able to rally – and get the win. And then they were, you know, their defense is phenomenal. I mean, just absolutely phenomenal.
Just in, I mean, you kind of dunked on Drake May a little bit, how poorly he played, but a lot of it has to do with how good I think that Seahawks defense is. Like they're in his face just nonstop. So yeah, kudos to the Seahawks. They're going to be a tough out. I mean, it sounds like Darnold injury isn't all that serious. Sounds like he could be back within a couple of weeks. That's going to be a very, very dangerous team for sure.
And then In terms of Patriots, you kind of wonder how much of their success last year was based on that super, super easy schedule because they didn't look great. Drake May did not look great. We'll see. But another one right back out of here tonight, an absolute banger. Excited for this one.
Much different than last night in terms of The fantasy outlook, I mean, kind of talked about a little bit before, like so many options in terms of guys that we think could be the highest scoring. Last night, you know, if someone put a gun to your head and said, even money bet, who do you think is the highest scoring player on the slate? We're all taking JSN, right? I mean, everyone's going to take JSN. If someone's literally even money bet, boom, boom, boom, who do you got?
You're taking JSN. It paid off tonight. That decision would be a little bit harder because there's like seven or eight guys that I think have a chance to be up there, not necessarily the optimal captain, but the highest scoring guy on the slate. So excited to go through it with you guys here today. Yeah, we'll hit all the other stuff really quickly, but you made some really good points there. And I think that's funny too.
We talked last night about if a certain style of roster construction won, sometimes you see it carry over. I wonder if tonight, and not that it would be shocker because if Puka's Puka, but if, you know, JSN getting there also leads to people being like, well, hey, we got the value. We know Puka's the guy. Let's go with him. And then we can talk about how you can get LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ on that when we go there later.
But by the way, Hoop, there will be some more Steak jokes. I don't know how to say his first name. Dijon. But you get a little strip loin action over there. Stripling. You got to mix that one in, too, if you want to stay on the steak front. I will say. Wasn't that the name of the guy that was posing to be a forty Niners player? What was it? Dijon. But a similar first name. Yeah. It's Jordan Love's cousin. Yeah. He'd wear the helmet everywhere he goes.
That's got to be one of the craziest stories of all time. That dude had to go to bed just laughing to himself every night. Well, now I don't know how much are they going to get out of it. But man, that was pretty crazy. I was like prod and all this other stuff. But yeah, it's going to be fun. This is an awesome slate again. I said it yesterday. It's not just the hype, but yesterday worked out. We'll talk about it in a second.
But Go Collect says, let the Ship It Games begin. There is still time to get into the week one Ship It Games. We did post the contest live. Just so you guys know, if you don't know what you're talking about, it's right on the site. We're giving away $45,000 one hundred and forty seven dollars. All the promos are still on to get in. You just have to be all access or you or you can be a NFL only member.
But it's pretty clear it's it's listed here. You can go to ShipItGames.com. You can go to the site, click that link. We will have our first three winners this week. Ultimately, at the end of the season, this community contest will be based. My guy Hoop in there, too, will be based around.
Um the community winning and we will be giving away you know as it stands right now $10,000 $5,000 twenty this is all cash plus the big prizes from our other sponsor with SaberSim so check it out the Ship It Games just went live for the first Golden shipper I think there's almost two hundred people in there already but if you just join the site now or if you're already an all-access or NFL member you can get in for that so just wanted to point that out another thing I want to show last night we talked about our sponsor yesterday with dfsos.com and if you go to the dashboard I'm going to speed it up because I have it here.
This was actually crazy. Like, I don't think people were getting to these Drew Locke lineups. I'm just under perfect lineup here, but you can see like what all the perfect lineups were. There was a forty nine seven. And who cares? Because Drew Locke, right? Like, I get it. Not many were probably going to get there. Drew Locke Raridon was right there coming up next. I mean, that's pretty crazy.
But I think if you look down outside of the Drew Locke lineups, I'm pretty sure we had it get there because this is under perfect lineup. It was one oh one point zero two. For people asking about leaving a bunch of money on the table, that was not the case for this one.
Now, obviously, if you want something more unique, I think that's going to be helpful, but you didn't have very high OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ on Matt Collins who got all those catches late. But then if you go over to the slate review, um, This is another thing I wanted to show. This was pretty cool, actually. This was for the fantasy football seat that I was talking about that I got. So me and ending.
And then what I wanted to see, and you can see how it all worked out. We had a forty nine nine lineup, what we had. But I clicked on ending. And I pulled this up, and this is actually pretty cool. You can go in and see, because I'm just trying to get a feel. I got to play this guy head-to-head. I was like, I wonder how he played the cue last night.
And you can see down here and see all of his lineups that he played last night. Title, I'll kick it to you for a second. We had a conversation in Vegas. Maybe we don't remember it, but I think it was at the blackjack table. Other people have talked about it a bunch, though, about the poker tables. I talk about people in Mastermind. Like, using...
Hand histories and solvers and putting all this stuff together like the more you can know the better but unfortunately you ain't getting to see all the hands usually right you'll get that someone shares it or streams it or whatever DFS this is sort of the new age in a different game where all the data is compiled now with these sites that you can just go and see again just get a feel how does this Person play how they play a head-to-head could be different but But I'd rather have this information than none at all.
And so I'm just looking through it and thinking about it. But what's your thoughts on being able to sort of go back and see what others are doing? I know a lot of people use Contest Flashback with SaberSim as well. Just any thoughts on this as a whole? Yeah, for sure. I use it all the time. I mean, who do I think some of the best in the world, Hebrew cheetah Sheets, shady advice. I'm going back in certain contests. I think you said some important here.
Unfortunately, I don't know how I would translate a qualifier winner. Take all the, how he's going to play a head to head. It's a completely different ball game there, but. Like college football. I just got into last year and it was very new to me. And there's super flex. So it's different that way. So I'm going in, you can deep dive in contest flat, like with this or with the SaberSim starter package or above. Oh, okay.
Shady's doing a lot of one quarterback with just one receiver. Okay, this sharp guy is doing one quarterback, two receivers. These guys don't run any no quarterback stacks or whatever it is. So it makes it a lot easier for me to, a sport that I know nothing about, to just narrow down a build, a roster construction wise, and then take it from there. What do Shady do or Rio do in a qualifier? Winner take all versus the lotto versus a hundred dollar Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Full explanation ↗.
All of those are completely different games. How much, what percents to first? What's the Min-CashA min-cash is the smallest prize in a contest, earned by finishing just inside the paid places. In tournaments it is usually a small multiple of the entry fee.Do not judge a tournament slate by how many lineups min-cashed. Track your top finishes, since that is where tournament profit actually comes from.Full explanation ↗? How many people are in the tournaments? It's very important. It's something that we haven't all like, at least I didn't really know sources that did this three, four or five years ago. And now that it is available to the public, I definitely recommend taking advantage. There's always someone out there better than you. Yeah. Like you said, for poker.
Find inefficiencies in human beings do they three bet too much do they fold too much against a check raise whatever it may be and then you use and you can divert your strategy from there so definitely something I highly recommend if you take DFS seriously Yeah, I think it's cool. Like this is, again, it won't translate because it's not a head-to-head, but like you said, there's learning as much as you can from other players.
This is a single entry and how he chose to play the hundred dollar single entry yesterday was a Pat's D up top. So you can just get a feel like, are they looser, leaving salary, risking it? But again, different tournament styles. You can dig in further though.
You can see all, tournaments that they played in yesterday and then try and get a feel for that so you guys can check that out and then just from yesterday some people had asked so I'll show it quickly I know we already overrode it for members on the site but we didn't have the Slate Station up and ready yet so just so people know there's DraftKings and FanDuel everything for the cores will be posted up at the top and then the
Showdown tower by bg little neck who many of the members know from in there the weather's not updating right because it's for the upcoming week but we're just keeping an old sheet to show you guys but you can change it by captain running back running or a quarterback running back wide receiver tight end and kickers and d's and then you can see what the colors mean so if you sort of build your lineup out from the starting point by hand or whatever you're doing you can say well I kind of want to see who the separators are on this slate and it will show you both the captain version and the main version and you can sort of put it together that way as well so that's up
And running and then of course we've got the stone which we're going to get to for today here shortly but hoop I'll kick it over to you man same as usual Let's get to this slate. We've got the forty Niners. We've got the Rams and it's the Australia game. It's the battle of travel. Right. Do you go early and stick around or do you show up thirty six hours before? What would you do before you get into the grand scheme overview?
How would you travel? Couldn't do it like the Rams are doing it, that's for sure. I mean, I just can't imagine. I get it. I understand why they are doing it, but, like, I'd have to have some time to, like, settle in. So I don't know. It is definitely interesting.
I guess, I don't know, there's so many – locations in in the world like I don't like why australia is there some reason behind it or just like you know just get more I mean international money they just try and get probably money yeah yeah he wants to give us money to go here we'll take it yeah yeah yeah I get it just maybe put like some bum team like maybe that that Raiders Dolphins game should have been there this week though no one wants to watch that in the second NFL game in a standalone though that's why Because once it gets to the Sunday morning games, those are bum teams usually.
Like, I think this is just too high, too much, too many eyes on the screen. Yeah, anyhow, I don't know. Yeah, I guess it's great that we have this game tonight, I guess, regardless of the situation. But I would be somewhere in between the two, I guess, maybe like a day or two earlier or something. I have no idea. So we'll see.
But DFS, I think it's way different than yesterday in terms of how you build your teams, the mindset going into it, the captain position, that sort of thing. Like I kind of said in the opening, it's like there's a lot of different guys, I think, that have a chance to be the highest scoring. And maybe it's not a slate.
And I guess when there's so many guys that I think have the potential to have big games, that brings in to the mix, potentially some cheaper captains as well, where you get in that sweet spot where there's, you know, four to five guys that get twenty to twenty five fantasy point. No, but twenty twenty five fantasy points. Nobody goes off. Then you need a cheaper captain to make all those guys fit in your lineup.
So I think that sort of builds in play today as well. Just looking at OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ captain wise, you know, the guys that are going to be up there, McCaffrey, Puka for sure are going to be one to And then after that, I think it can be spread out quite a bit. So I don't know. There's a lot of ways to play this slate, I think. You know, captains in terms of, you know, who I think is going to be up top.
There's a lot of different guys. To me, it's probably a slate where I end up spreading it out a little bit. You know, sometimes I'll go in and really narrow it down. Kind of struggle with that today. So I'll most Likely be spreading it out. But, you know, way different to me yesterday. I kind of had the feeling that it would be a nasty grind it out sort of game. And that's what happened.
I think this one could be could be a shootout, to be honest. So we'll see when we go through it all. Yeah, I forget already title, but do you remember how it shook? I did like the steam and moonwalk we talked about. Didn't it come pretty close? I think it was like sixteen, seventeen or something for Ramondre and JSN. I can't I can pull it up on a different screen here. But just while you're going through your side of it, I was just curious if you.
I to be honest, I saw someone say fourteen percent in chat. I don't I didn't really look because at the end of the day.
Down to like maybe yeah like for fifteen sixteen percent somewhere in that range higher before that but yeah I just was noting it there but I'll let you take over your thoughts on this right now our ownership shows again this is the initials we still have multiple updates to come but we do have like who talked about pretty spread out after those four guys right even those four guys are sort of evenly distributed I don't know if it's like, and I, and I do agree with hoop as well too.
Like it's not the same as yesterday. We had a lot more cheaper guys. It feels like yesterday that could just make the top score work versus today. We know Terrence Ferguson. Yeah. He's going to be popular at $3,200 or whatever in the flex when we get there. But I think it's just an interesting setup otherwise. So what's your thoughts on this slate title? Yeah, I think, like you mentioned, the value on this slate I think is a lot more difficult.
They're more concentrated to feel comfortable than we saw yesterday, which kind of then leads me up to the captain position where I'm seeing so much concentrated ownership with McCaffrey, Purdy on the Niner side, and that's it. No one else is above five percent. And then Stafford and Puka. But, man, there are so many other studs in this game that are showing such little ownership. I mean, Davante Adams is staring me right in the face.
He can easily go eight for a hundred and two touchdowns. We know all of his goal line work last year. Kyron Williams, five percent at captain. Obviously, with Blake Corham, who I'll get to shortly, a little concern. It's not going to be like we saw Stevenson just get most of the work yesterday. It's not going to be that situation at all. But he's favored to score a touchdown. It's a forty eight and a half total.
He's a starting running back at Five percent of captain just seems crazy to me. Blake Corum himself at $4,600 value is tough on this slate. Like we mentioned, I think the two clear ones sub $5,000 obviously kickers and defenses will be played. But it's Ferguson and it's Blake Corum. And I am fine playing either of them at the captain spot. Now, when you do so, don't just zero out your salary. We talk about it a lot.
Just because you're playing a three percent on Blake Corham at captain doesn't mean that's the only thing you got to get different because all those other three percent teams are going to have very similar roster construction. But I could see Blake Corham sixty yards on the ground in the touchdown or something.
And if he is close enough to these top end guys or the top end guys smash and you need value at or value at captain to then spend up elsewhere instead of punt in the flex, I think it is viable. And then going to the The Niners side, I'm just looking at the wide receiver room. It's a clear three in Evans, Debo, and Stribling. Four percent Mike, one percent Debo, less than one percent Stribling.
I find taking a chance on all of those guys. In a vacuum, it does feel they are a little overpriced when you're looking at projection and how close they are to the quarterbacks, to McCaffrey.
Obviously, Puka's in a little own tier, but all I'm seeing is Evans is a stud, Davante Adams's a stud, Stribling, who knows, Debo, who knows, Kyron, Corum, all of these guys have potential to score or to get over a hundred yards on the ground or through the air and two touchdowns and no one's playing them. So because I struggle to get different a little below, that's kind of what I'm looking at. Am I going to X McCaffrey, Puka and all that?
No, of course I'll have some, but I do think the ownership, my thought right now is like the quarterbacks. I like the least McCaffrey and Puka. It's really hard for me not to get much of them, but I think where I'm going to get ownership to those secondary guys is going to come mainly from the quarterbacks. I think that's how I'm thinking about it too, Hoop.
I'll come to you in a second on just other captain thoughts because you kind of gave the grand scheme, but we'll let you chime in on your favorites and thoughts. But I'm going to echo a couple of things that Title said. One would be just looking at it, you know, to Hoop's point earlier, saying he could spread it out. I agree. More so because of what Title just said for me of like, yeah, when you got...
Adams and evans and all these other dudes at five six percent even if they do steam a little bit it's like you can have twelve to fifteen of them and where is it coming from of course it's coming from puka and cmc and whatever else might be but for me I'm not too worried about that because I'll have those lineups in their own way and build them accordingly that jsn lineup had earlier we talked pre-show about uh hoop and hoop and I were talking pre-show I didn't have Darnold in it, but it was, I was playing to the game script that Hoop and I talked about on the show and title chimed in as well.
But we're like, what if it just plays lower scoring slugs, slug fest back and forth. I couldn't get Darnold in there if I wanted him. There's no way I can predict the injury, but I had JSN just highest score out of everybody. Still got my guy, Jadarian Price in there, got the guys on the other side with May and Ram and all those guys, Ramondre was in there. So it's like, I kind of got what I wanted.
But it had the Patriots D and no Darnold. It worked out like it made sense on paper too. So you got to go with your game script, but because of that title, that's kind of my thoughts to yours of like how I'd have, I'd have to be under on McCaffrey and Nacua to make that work. And I'm probably okay with that hoop. I'll kick it to you though. What are you thinking with these captains up top?
And then specifically the quarterback, because both of us really aren't too high on it. What do you think about the quarterbacks and then the rest of these captain position? Yeah, I kind of now immediately reversed my thoughts at capping because I don't think I'll be as spread out as I initially thought. I just think there is some holes in some of these guys. I mean, Puka and McCaffrey, yeah, absolutely, for sure.
And one thing I will say, I think some of these guys – And there'll be adjustments are going to be higher. Like, I just can't imagine like Kyron Williams is going to be five percent. I can't imagine Devante is going to be five percent. Like, I think they come up a little bit and maybe like the quarterbacks come down a little bit and that gap closes between the two. And, you know, maybe not. But that's just kind of my initial thought.
I just don't think Kyron and Devante will be that that low. So. Going back to Christian and Puka, definitely in on them. I don't really like Matthews Stafford at captain. I think he's better on maybe like FanDuel or something. I do think he has a good game here. I think he's great. But the problem with Stafford, especially on like the full PPR sites such as DraftKings, if he has a big game to me.
Either Puka or Devante are going to be needed over him. Like it's usually one of those two go off. It's hard for him to fully spread it out without really a wide receiver three. He does have these tight ends, which we'll get to later. But to me, I don't love him on DK in that captain spot. I like Purdy more than him. I'm fine playing Purdy just because I do think there's a path for him to really spread it out.
I mean, he throws it to McCaffrey a lot. You got Mike Evans, you have Kittle, you have Debo, you have Stribling. There's so many guys where I think he does have the chance to potentially spread it out a little bit. Don't really love the Mike Evans stuff. I don't really love Kittle. I mean, I know he's playing tonight off the injury. I just don't necessarily think those guys are going to have their full complement of plays right out of the gate.
So it's going to make it hard for me to envision them being necessarily needed up top. I'm fine taking chances on a guy like Debo. We have him at the ownership on Debo.
Pull that up are you talking about a captain captain yeah yeah just yeah so it's like you play a little bit you're right there with the field scribbling I thought like if you did best ball and I titled it a lot of it like scribbling was like the the best ball sweetheart this year like people were loving this guy taking him super high I thought for sure like he'd have some ownership uh at captain tonight for that reason because a lot of the best ball bros are also in these um uh showdown streets as well.
Or are they? Huh? Yeah, maybe not. Maybe it is very telling that they're not in these streets because... No ownership on him, and I think he's a great play. If he's going to be like one percent, I mean, this guy was legit in the preseason. I don't know. I'd take a chance there. So just to kind of summarize everything, I guess, you know, it's CMC and Puka for sure. I'm good with Purdy. I like Kyron. I like Davante Adams. And then like Debo and Stribling.
And that's probably my pool at the captain position. Not a ton of interest in Stafford. Like I'm better on FanDuel up top opposed to DK. Not a ton of interest in Mike Evans, Kittle, Blake Corum. I think Blake Corum is an elite flex play today, which we'll talk about when we get there. I just don't know the ceiling on him.
It's like he's got to score two touchdowns and I just don't really necessarily want to bank on that right out of the gate. And then, like, some deep flyers, you know, Ferguson, Parkinson, I think two touchdown upside. And you're probably going to need the two touchdowns. They're not volume guys, so you're going to need two out of them. I think it's somewhat possible. So, yeah, that's kind of where I'm at captain-wise. Yeah. And we'll see what happens here with this.
Like a go collect says the mass is going to go to Puka. I think one thing I can just say from who broke it down really well there to me, I just see it. I don't see McCaffrey going anywhere, but potentially maybe even a little higher. I see Puka crossing twenty. I see both quarterbacks coming down some. I see Williams and Devante going up some. And then after that, I think it kind of is correct.
So that's the one thing, too, that is it's definitely for sure. And we've seen it with a lot of people using. Sims and stuff like that when you when you use Sims It tends to spread things out quite a bit gets you a portfolio get you some exposure and I think we're seeing Captain ownership gets spread out more than we have in the past And I think we really saw that last year where it just gets spread out It's almost to me like quarterbacks on the main slate.
We always talk about a quarterback ownership on the main slate and it always gets spread out it's very rare for somebody to be super highly owned at quarterbacks that's where well for the most part you know I'll always say this and you guys do as well like play who you like at the quarterback position don't let ownership really come in to factor all that much for you because it typically gets spread out starting to see that more at the captain position on the showdown slates where things just get spread out because so many people are using the sims Yeah, our guy Hamhawk says, guessing people are thinking Strib's usage will be lower since Kittle wasn't expected for week one.
So yeah, we'll see when we get there too and just see how everybody thinks about it. I don't have anything else to add at the captain position and title. I saw Hoops probably a resident bathroom break over there. So we're good. We're back. The season is in full swing. So I'll kick it to you first on elaborating on these quarterbacks. Before I do, just want to click back real quick just so people know somebody asked in the chat.
But the DFSOS, the sponsorship, just so you guys know, if you go there, I'll try and bring it up on the site and the pricing down below. The ninety nine dollar all access rate is on for fifty nine for the early adopter rate. Anybody who uses code ship it gets it for twenty nine dollars. So the same price as the pro. You can't get the pro half price, but you can get all access for basically a dollar a day.
So if you check that out, by all means, use code ship it for that. All right, Ty, I'll go back to you. We're talking about these quarterbacks, Purdy and Stafford, who broke it down a little bit. Somebody in the chat said, like this was last night, we were talking about Drake May for MVP. Now tonight it's Brock is coming for that MVP this year, but he does have weapons. He's got options. It's how healthy are they? How strong? How capable? But what's your thoughts over there, Ty?
I'll let you take the reins on quarterback. I'm totally in agreement with what Hoop said. I like Purdy more than Stafford, and it really comes down to I just think that he has a lot more weapons to throw it to. Mike could catch one. Striveling could catch one. McCaffrey could catch one. Right there, that's three different people. It's a little harder for me to see.
I mean, especially because we're going to get to when we talk tight ends and even receivers, you're going to see more third-team personnel from the Rams than pretty much any team in the NFL, which means you're going to see some Higbee, some Parkinson. These guys aren't necessarily sure they can catch the ball and stuff, but the reason they're doing that is to run the football heavy and then set up play action to their two main guys in Puka and Davante Adams.
Their target share is going to be a ton. So it just feels harder for Stafford to get there at captain because a lot of that's going to be Puka or Davante Adams having just a superior game. And I do agree with what Hoop said too. FanDuel, it's a little easier there. Half-point versus full-point PPR is a big difference. So Purdy's my preferred play.
But, yeah, I think we see – I think like Stafford and the Rams, I think their offense is going to click early. We thought it was the under. We thought the offenses – and I still do think week one, even week two a little bit, offenses can lag a bit. But the elites of the elites, Stafford been here forever. Puka's one of the best in the game. I think they click, a great coach.
And I think the Niners put some points on the board as well, so – I'm taking a different approach to yesterday's game. I prefer Purdy, though, because he has more options. Hoop said no pee yet, just a temp adjustment. Temp adjustment over there. Are you looking for a little hotter, a little more well done, or are you looking for a little rare? Are you cooling it down a little bit? What do you got? We're cooling the temp down a little bit.
We're back on the rare side of things, a little bit too hot. Okay. I'll kick it to you on the quarterbacks. If you want to elaborate, you did talk about them already. I don't have too much to add. I think what you said, especially about the Brock Purdy side was correct. I think from, you know, the we're flipping to flex now looking at OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ that looks more accurate of like, you're adding in kind of the Darnold situation last night.
Don't want to scare anybody or, you know, salt in the wound, but it's like, you're looking fifty, sixty percent for Darnold.
Combined ownership for these quarterbacks they're going to be played but to title's point hoop it's like with Stafford it's probably going to be you know the way it usually works at least it's not probably but it can be where it's all puka or it's all davante or it is the running backs getting in the mix so then it's like how would he end up up there but we're on flex now so give me your thoughts there with purdy and Stafford yeah for the flex I mean you know two to me pass first offenses I
Mean sometimes the Rams will get in that mode where they just go super run heavy but At the end of the day, if these offenses need to make a play, the ball's going to be in Stafford hands, the ball's going to be in Purdy's hands, and know yes Christian McCaffrey gets a ton of work but a lot of it comes through the air and if a lot of his damage is done through the air purdy participates in that as well so I think in in terms of flux yeah one a lot of these guys as much as is possible and as much as makes sense within roster construction um two elite plays I do think you know birdie mvp and that might be a little Little bit of a stretch, but I think he has a phenomenal season.
I think he really has a big season this year. I mean, with all the weapons there and I love them getting Debo back. So I'm very high on Purdy for this game. I think they're both elite flex options. What is the backup situation going to say? You think we need any backups tonight in there? No. No. He just didn't want nothing to do with that. All right. I'm going to let you stay on it. You had some thoughts earlier with Corum.
I know you said, well, wait till we get there, but it seemed like you were pretty excited to talk about that. Obviously he's priced very affordable. I changed a little toggle up top here for those following along on the stone. Two point O at shipitnation.com. If you guys get in over there, you can check this out for yourself. We can build right here in the hand builder as we go, but Corum obviously makes a lot of things happen.
Yes.
He's not projected nearly as well as Williams, but he's also $4,000 cheaper so give me your thoughts there we saw Holani last night get a bunch of you know steam and work their price looked good too but like you could see that type of situation again here tonight what's your thoughts on blake corm and the rest of these guys uh I mean nothing to really be said about McCaffrey I mean just absolute stud high super high floor probably you know the highest floor in the NFL obviously you make the case for you know gibbs and
And Bijan and all these elite running backs but to me like if you're talking just strictly floor at the running back position there's nobody higher in the NFL than Christian McCaffrey just because he can go out there and catch ten or eleven balls and that's you know he he can get you two touchdowns by just catching passes in terms of the number of fantasy points you know ten eleven catches that's two touchdowns so uh super high floor get as much as you can uh Kyron Williams, I like him.
I think he's great in the captain spot, especially if our OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ is true, like the five percent. I think it's going to probably be a little bit higher. But if it's true, he's a great captain play. Probably like him less in the flex just because, you know, $8,600. And the other thing that scares me a little bit with him is they're going to give.
I mean, it's not like Blake Corum comes in just to give Kyron a little break, like a couple snaps. They give Blake Corum. Full on drives where he's out there the whole time and there is no, Kyron Williams isn't coming in no matter what, I guess, is the point I'm trying to make. So that's huge for a backup running back. I do think the ownership comes up a little bit just because he's the first value on the slate. Yes, we got some kickers.
Yes, we have the tight ends for the Rams. But, I mean, he has legitimate touchdown upside. He's definitely got titles good with this stuff, and I don't need it right away. But the touchdown prop is probably pretty solid for a backup running back, probably one of the higher touchdown props you're going to see from backup running backs in the NFL because this team is going to be very successful. They're going to move the ball.
Like I said a little bit ago, he gets the entire drive. If they get down to the three-yard line, he's going to get those carries. I think he's in the elite play. I prefer him over Kyron in the flex and then I do think this Kalon Black guy is interesting. Another guy that apparently looked pretty good in the preseason. I didn't watch a ton of preseason football. Earned the backup job.
If there's ever a time for him to maybe get some work, it's in an Australia game, potentially $3,000. Um so I'll include him in my player pool as well but just ranking these guys to me it would be like cmc blake coram kyron and then some some dark throws on this black guy Yeah. I was going to say the, the Kalen comments there, you see like listed as the RB two.
I know people were hyping that up just recently, like how he got that on the depth chart, talking about splitting it. And then it was like Kubiak. It says where he was impressive in the preseason debut and goes through it all. So you can kind of see those notes when you look it up there. Another thing that, you know, Tyler said was Blake core him, you'll get that guy in the core.
Maybe you throw him in there, but I think like you said, one key point too, is the ownership of, probably comes up closer to Williams or like Williams comes back a little and he eats up some of it. Cause he just, he makes everything else work.
And then when you think about those falling along for the PGA shows, we always talk about it conditionally with like, if Scott, he's going to be more popular, you'll get the value plays just have to come up some. And if you get that wrong, you're probably way off on your ownership. If Puka and CMC, like we said, are steaming up and even more than we already know they're going to be owned, you have to see guys like Corum.
And then you have to see guys like Ferguson when we get their title come along. And then you start to see, oh, I can see how these builds are starting to look. So if the game doesn't go this way, like where are the San Francisco guys in that build?
Cmc maybe fits on the other side maybe doesn't so he's in his own captain lineups maybe purdy but people don't really love evans and debone we'll get to those guys so you got to start to see that the builds are looking like it's going to be Rams heavy when you see that now before you you can go in on that one but I also want to ask you quickly just any extra or additional thoughts to cmc specifically regarding to the fact of you know Kittle back but how banged up snap count whatever it might be like we know from the past how this has kind of worked out could we just see like mass checkdowns to
Cmc and just rack those ppr points tonight or what's your thoughts on cmc and then the rest of this stuff that we just talked about Definitely. I mean, Mills Garrett, a big addition for the Rams. No one can block him. And Christian McCaffrey's just always there, the ultimate security blanket, especially when Mike Evans is making his debut with Purdy and hasn't practiced much and all that.
The rapport, when push comes to shove and you really need to make a split-second decision, just look at Christian McCaffrey. I'm expecting plenty of checkdowns. Let me see... His receiving or his reception prop. And by the way, it was plus one sixty five for Corum to score, which is fifth on the slate. So that goes your point. Yeah. Four four and a half minus one thirty four receptions for McCaffrey second only behind Puka.
So he's more like he's supposed to catch more balls than Devante, Mike Evans, Kittle, you name it. Just shows how safe he is, like like who's been saying. Yeah, I agree with almost everything you guys say. I think the ownership on Corum has to come up in the flex. I think Kyron's probably comes down. Like you mentioned, when people play Puka and McCaffrey, you need value. Value's tough on this slate. Corum fits that mold very well.
Yeah, I think I prefer Kyron at captain and Corum at flex, kind of like Coop's saying. Like, I just want Kyron to fully get his two touchdowns or break off a long run and just really take advantage of that low ownership at captain. It's a little scary, by the way, because, I mean, we've been doing these shows for a few years, and you and I are about ninety five percent opposite when it comes to our showdowns.
Hey, I got dusted yesterday, so maybe today's – maybe that's a good – that's good for us. But, yeah, I think the – fifty-six and a half rushing prop for Kyron, forty-four and a half for Corum. That just shows, like, it's – Some drives is going to be Corum. Some is going to be Kyron. They look at it like one A, one B. And the pricing does not reflect that. So I do think the ownership steam is Corum. Moonwalks back is Kyron. Prefer Corum at the flex.
Even though I'll still play some at captain and Kyron at captain. Yeah, Keelan Black. I mean, he was anyone that watched any college football last year. Indiana ran everyone over. Black was a big piece of that on their team. But he was banged up in the – preseason a little bit in the start of training camp, came back near the end, still beat out James, it seems like, for the job. I don't know.
I mean, value's so tough and he's so LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗, I think you can do worse. But if you're only playing like ten teams or fifteen teams, you're more than Likely probably going to get two points, and that's not going to be enough. He's not fifteen hundred or $1,000. Like, he still has somewhat of a real price tag. But don't love it, don't hate it. I'd probably prefer Juszczyk just because he will be on the field.
Kittle, if you think Kittle is limited, I do think he's going to be limited. I think he'll play more in like... Sixty percent of snaps, maybe. But when they need to throw, I think he'll be out there more. But if you think Kittle only going to play like forty percent, I think Juszczyk one of the biggest beneficiaries outside of Tonges, Tonges, whatever. But he's going to be out there. You can catch the ball a little bit. Sometimes he'll get a fullback dive.
He randomly gets a touchdown, whatever. Otherwise, I think it's pretty condensed with McCaffrey, Corum and Kyron. You just reminded me of something, though. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe, Jack, correct me if I'm wrong or anything. You can remember about it, too. We love engaging and sort of interacting with it. Again, make sure to hit that thumbs up, subscribe to the channel while you're there.
Didn't when they do keep Kittle down some, don't they just put juice in there to block and he just kind of does the Kittle roll and then Tonges just gets the catches? And funny enough, because Kittle back tonight, Tonges won't be owned like a Kittle game, like a Meyer situation coming up this weekend with the surprise Brock Bowers news and coaches lying about it and everything that's going on.
So you might see that and we might get there in a minute, but I will say that's kind of interesting because when you look at Corum, $4,600. I'm jumping ahead, of course. But when you look at Ferguson, $3,200 like this is not steaming up at all. But like there is a chance that there's some of those situations where Tonges could be the guy tonight in that spot as well. So I think that's at least somewhat interesting there.
The other thing I was going to say to I think Hoops said earlier, it's so annoying. I remember classic slates last year. You're needing Williams. And you're like, oh, yeah, the Rams just got to the twenty yard line. Let's go. You look and who's jogging out there? Coram. Like, come on. This guy's been carrying the ball. Kyron's been carrying it up. It really doesn't go like the opposite way, though.
It's like kind of crazy because like there are times where Kyron's in there for a majority of drive and then Corum marches up. But it's like Coram's out there. Like, he's staying out there all the way through. He doesn't do, like, one drive. Yeah, that's what you said. He's not just, like, one carry. Like, oh, Williams must just be getting a breath. Nope. They're just jamming this guy all day now, and Williams just standing on the sideline.
The thing is, even though when he was there, if it was a two-yard line, it's either a slant fade to Davante Adams, like, and I don't see them getting away from it. All they do is throw. Yeah. Yeah. Thirteen personnel is their thing now. So yeah, we'll get there. I mean, there's definitely, again, it's leaning that way. Title, I'm going to go back to you now. We talked earlier about Puka. You just mentioned Devante on those slants. They definitely happen, right? Those are definitely a thing.
So the more interesting side, again, I know they're showing OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ on them, and of course, everybody gets ownership at some point, but for having Evans and D I think somebody said earlier, I wonder if I wonder how Debo is going to play in the Debo role this year. It's him and it's his role, but how is he going to play? And then stripling who we talked about.
And then I don't think there's much after that of people actually considering these guys, but in portfolios, you'll definitely see a bunch of these Rams and other guys down below, but give me your thoughts at wide receiver here. Yeah, I mean, I guess I'm a best ball bro, and I'm going to be on Stribling is my favorite.
He's the cheapest of the main or I'm talking forty Niners first and then I'll get to the Rams because I think the Niners is a lot easier because I like someone asked him about to Marcus Robinson earlier. I'll never say no to one percent playing showdown. It's not for me, though. I think it's Stribling, Mike Evans and Debo and their three receiver stuff. Debo, I feel like his loss is that we will find out.
But Stribling is their their new young toy. And I'm not worried about Mike Evans injury at all. Like they've already came out pretty much saying it was they're just being cautious. He's what, thirty three or something. Many of years in the NFL, you don't need to injure him in the preseason. So I think he's full go. But just looking at the pricing and the ownership, he's the lowest price of the three at $6,600.
And he's the cheap or the lowest own at fourteen percent. Fourteen percent for this guy that absolutely flew up every draft board. Seems a solid rapport. He's a good player. I'm going to take a chance at him. I'm fine with Debo. I'm fine with Mike Evans. I would rank him stribbling Mike Evans and then Debo. I need to see some explosiveness from Debo first before I'm jumping all the way on.
But at ownership, like if you're eating puka chalk and then you're playing quorum and then you're playing Ferguson, you got to get different somewhere. And if you're not going to like a crazy punt value, I'm going to find myself, I think, playing some of these Niner receivers as a way to get difference. And if you're playing pretty captain, I think they're a great way to play in the flex. A little harder on the Rams side.
And again, a lot of that is because a lot of the times they're going to play third-team personnel, and it's just going to be Puka and Davante Adams. So you're worrying about these. Mumfield, Xavier Smith, Tutu Atwell. Mumfield's the wide receiver three, and he's twelve hundred dollars. So I'll rank him number three. He's going to be low on. He's going to be on the field a bit.
But again, even when he is on the field and clear passing downs, he's going to be like the fifth option that's being looked at. So. I feel like he's drawing pretty thin to get there. Xavier Smith is a stone cold punt at two hundred. I think there is a chance that you could see a zero on the winner today. If all of those studs up top get it, the value is really tough. Coram doesn't get Corum scores for Ferguson scores three.
Well, maybe you just want a zero from a two hundred dollar guy and not spend anything and then spend all your money for the studs. So for that reason, maybe I'll play some Xavier Smith. But it's just really concentrated for the Rams and they don't play many receivers. Yeah. I'm going to look up some of these cheap guys in a second in the newsfeed, but who, a couple of things title said at wide receiver or like earlier.
And then this guy asked about it as well. It said, how much does the miles Garrett affect the miles Garrett effect affect this game is kind of what he's saying. I think from that perspective, but just interesting. Maybe thinking about it from this perspective, you go back. This is only from seven days ago. I like this Mike Nuggets NFL. So this is on the DFSOS newsfeed says Brock Purdy says dribbling will be a big part of the forty Niners offense.
He's done an amazing job with coming in, obviously learning the playbook, keeping his head down and working. He doesn't just talk, talk, talk. I like that type of comment about somebody because it's like, look, everybody comes in and talk something up. Let's see what they really do. I think you called that about price. Last night, sort of hearing some of the same stuff, and then Price came out, and he certainly wasn't talking.
Thirteen yards out of the gate, he was strapping up seven of ten on a few different drives, but then stribbling to play slot. This is also from just a week ago to be Evans understudy at the X. You got Mills Garrett coming at you, you might be looking at that guy in the slot pretty quickly, too.
So there is something to be said there for those checkdowns with those guys, and if Kittle on a bit of that count as well and everything that we see there, I think Title nailed it there. Look, people... Speaking of talk, talk, talk, people talking about this guy a lot. It's currently anywhere you look across the industry. It doesn't look like there's people doing much walk, walk, walking when it comes to putting this guy into their lineups and clicking the button. So, uh, give me your thoughts further.
And then anything else you want to add at this position? Some of those low guys I'll look up while you're going through it, but I'm just curious what it says, but give me your thoughts here on that. So what's the mindset with mild Garrett? Like He's going to be in the backfield, so they're going to have to get rid of the ball quicker. And, you know, so some of these guys run Shorter routes, could get a boost.
Yeah, I mean, I could see it, but it's hard. I mean, it's really hard to quantify that when it's a one-game slate and, you know, we just don't have – any other options to go to. So I don't know. If someone goes that route, I think they're just telling. I see it. I mean, I could see it, but I mean, I don't think it's really going to affect, you know, how I build teams or anything.
I, I guess, you know, if you do think stripling is the guy that gets the boost, I absolutely love it because I was kind of prepared to come on here before I looked at anything and say, Oh, you know, I can't play the stripling guy. Cause he's gonna be so popular.
I'm kind of shocked that there's no ownership and maybe it is kind of, what you know title kind of alluded to where the best ball people are in a separate bubble than like the DFS people because this guy I would say shot up the boards quicker than just about anyone else in the best ball streets I mean people were taking him in like the fifth round right it was he was at the he got to abth adp yeah adadp so what what is that is that six round maybe or something yeah right about there six round six seventh round like He shot way – like early on, he was going like at the end of drafts as just some random guy to pick up.
Towards the end, he was ADP. I think it's the price mainly. I think people are just going to try – once you go Puka and McCamp, I think that's just the dead zone, at least ownership showing that. Yeah, and a lot of times it is that $6,000-ish range. It's a little above the kickers. It's below the studs. It's kind of in that awkward point. So maybe that's why.
But, man, if that's the case – if this ownership holds, I think he's gotta be one of the best plays on the slate in, in flex. And I mean, everything, I mean, I shit on like the preseason talk yesterday about training camp and everyone looking good, but this guy kind of backed it up though. Like when, when they played actual games and like the clips looked phenomenal. So yeah, I'm in on them for sure. I hope the ownership stays low. You know, obviously Pook is a great play.
Obviously Devante is a great play, but for the forty-Niners pass catchers factoring everything in, I think he's probably, probably my favorite. Good with Mike Evans, good with Debo. More flex plays, though, like I talked about. I don't necessarily love Mike Evans up top, but I love him in Brock Purdy captain teams. I think he's a great fit. The cheap wide receivers on this slate just... I don't know. Just not all that interested.
I guess, yeah, if you're going to take a shot, just go with the cheapest guy and hope maybe a goose egg is needed or something here today. I'd be fine with that. I just don't see Demarcus Robinson. I don't see Whittington. I don't see Mumpfield. I just, I don't know. I don't see it. So I'm just going to focus on the other guys and you're getting a legit guy. At not that far off ownership from those shitty dudes.
Like we're showing Stribling at fifteen percent. Some of those other random guys, seven, eight percent. So I don't know. I'll just stick with Stribling. I think he's a phenomenal play. He stays around fifteen percent ownership. So I do think I do think Devante has a chance to maybe get squeezed a little bit. People are going to want to, you know, if they're playing a Rams pass catcher, It's definitely going to be Puka over him.
I do really like Davante Adams, those little short slants at the two-yard line. There's not many wide receivers that have the ability to execute in those positions. So I think he's a really good option. But yeah, Stribling definitely stands out to me. Yeah, the chat, man, I've been telling you, like, I don't bet too much. Yeah, are those numbers legit? I just think it's going to be for yardage, how he gets it. Like, he'll be eight yards, eight yards. We could see that.
But I could see where he tries them like a couple times just in the first quarter out there. And then you got two catches and you're looking for the third grab. But, yeah, you've got to get the yardage to go with it. But, yeah, I think that's very interesting. Those are very appealing numbers. Yeah, a lot of people. I think Doubs is still tilted about Doubs last night.
That has to be one of the worst, like, from a wide receiver, like, you know, opening performance with a new team. That was horrible. That changed the whole game, his drop. That was terrible. Yeah, the drop, and he just couldn't even get open. Like, it was, ooh, that was bad. And the one time he does get open, I mean, that drop was, ooh. He always got the big-ass helmet on, too, and it's like you can't even see. It just makes it worse.
Hey, Nate, he was good for Green Bay. Don't shit on him too much. He did good for us. And then he got paid, and now, yeah, he might not be good. But it does make a good point. When you mess up that bad, and you know the camera's just staring at you the whole time, it sucks to be sitting there in a Guardian cap. I know it's safety.
All this I'm just making fun of it but it is kind of bad you're just sitting there and you just know he hates his life so we'll see um again bad game for him but it's not like it was a great game for anybody for for that case you know Douglas nothing really holland's few big catches down the stretch to help them get into that opportunity where then may threw it away but a.j brown unfortunately getting injured just so many different things we're still waiting for that Matthew Golden breakout though I see nades in there talking about his own hands and stuff They lost a couple wide receivers.
Maybe this is the year, big nades. Maybe this is the year Golden gets it going, baby. Week one, get them right out of the gate. What do they got, the Vikings? The Vikings, yeah. No Josh Jacobs? Damn, this is the time right here. I don't know. When is Jacobs going to be back now, or how's it going to play out? Because I think everything just got cleared today. It's going to be up to the NFL.
I mean, the courts aren't really – it seems like a slap on the wrist there. It seems like it's all up to the NFL. The NFL has got to at least give them four, you would think. Yeah, this was a big thing. The word of the year, proprioception. His proprioception was off because he thought he had it, but it was like the helmet was swinging and he wasn't quite ready. So the big drop for Romeo.
The scribbling play is a little less appealing when you look at the juice. Over two and a half on DK is minus one sixty. So over two and a half minus one sixty kind of takes some of the appeal away. I don't know, like bet three six five has alts.
I would take all, because if you really think like I do, that he could have like two check downs or two quick slot catches or something like that at some point early, you can get to three or four catches. Let's see if we go to three, what sort of number we're looking at. So even DK's, some of their stuff's just horrible. So three plus is still minus one sixty. How's that even possible? That's what I'm saying.
I was just going to try and pull it up right now. Three plus, that's because it's the same as over two and a half. Three plus, they're going to count it at three, so it's the same. Okay, so yeah. Three and a half. So receiving receptions. Let me see what the max I can get. So I can get up to seven catches, twelve to one. There it is, man. He's going to have the, he's going to have the JSN line tonight.
I think you get like, yeah, five catches like plus four hundred. I don't know, like not, not my favorite thing to do, but just to note it, I think that's. I mean, I think I honestly, I think without saying anything crazy, I think like five for sixty is very in the realm of possibility. So like what's four and a half over four and a half? Let's just do the five for – what did you say? Five for how many?
Five for sixty yards or something I think is – I'm going to do five fifty. We like to keep it easy here. Five five zero. Let's go five for fifty because they'll give the even block. And that's going to give you plus six twenty-five. I don't hate that play. There's our bet of the day right there. Done. Bet it just now. I got a few bucks after the Raridon touchdown last night, so throwing that in right now. We're starting the season strong here.
By the way, got it live. Appreciate all the support, but you're going to need it tonight because I don't play these head-to-heads, but we just got it. We're going. Oh, nice. It's an ending tonight. Oh, tonight it is? Okay, very good. That makes sense. That definitely makes sense to do it that way. I'm good. We'll run it back right away tonight, battle it up, see what happens, and good luck to ending, but it should be a lot of fun. You don't mean that.
I saw two footballs in the ad that definitely didn't get caught, so he's going to need to find a couple more. Those ads are quality. All right. Yeah. I know what you're talking about now. All right. So keep it moving. We'll go to tight end hoop. So speaking of that, there you go. By the way, everyone who doesn't know and didn't get to congratulate him last year, title is also a dad now. So the dad jokes went up going into this season.
So now he's, he's binded to laugh at our dad jokes. Like he came out quiet. I'm still keeping, I'm still keeping mine alive over here. He can't even say a word. So he can't have those jokes yet. When are you heading back to Wisconsin? That's the true test. I was literally just there last week. I was just there like three. We got to get a show.
We got to get a show in the room with the fan and then we can get the trust me out. There's seven weddings in Wisconsin this year. You'll see me back in that room. Beautiful. All right. Yeah. Tight end. Uh, Kittle fine play. I think, you know, Purdy captain teams for sure. Uh, I just, there's no way to me, at least that he's going to get full compliment of plays. Fine.
If he gets into some lineups, not thrilled, but I mean, the Rams guys are very interesting. Ferguson and Parkinson, to me, these are their wide receiver threes. Big play upside from Ferguson. They got Matthews Stafford trust, and that's the key thing with some of these veteran quarterbacks. Do they trust you as a pass catcher? Stafford trusts both these guys. I think they're both phenomenal plays. They're going to be, I'd say, somewhat popular.
A lot of times these cheaper plays aren't as popular, but We saw it all last year. They didn't like sign another tight end or anything. I know Higbee will be out there too, but to me, it's Ferguson, Parkinson. I think they're both good plays in their own mind. Tonjes, $4,400, not as appealing. But if you are assuming that, you know, Kittle isn't going to get his full complement of work like you need to include him in your player pool, but.
Um, I don't care about the ownership with Ferguson Parkinson. I like them to me. They're the wide receiver three on this, on this football team. And instead of playing those other cheap guys, which yes, they're going to be much lower owned. I just, to me, there's a legit chance for these guys to do something. So, um, yeah, that's where I'm at tight end wise. What about you title? Any additional dots?
Did you, what, by the way, what did you think about my, uh, Tom just take earlier? You can, can you get there? You think? Man, he's $4,400. That's the thing. I would make a rule, which I rarely do. Max one Kittle Tonges. It feels tough. I don't I don't think I'm really going to get there much myself. But yeah, I mean, he's super, super low on when he plays and Kittle hasn't played. He's done well.
I just I think Kittle is still going to I think most of the time when Kittle is out there, whether it's sixty percent or whatever, it's they're throwing the ball or more high LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ situations. Whereas when he's off the field, maybe they run a little bit more so. Don't see myself really getting there too much. I don't, I guess, talk about best ball guy. Everyone loves Terrence Ferguson, and rightfully so. We saw it last year. The dude actually makes plays.
I don't believe the ownership probably anywhere in the industry, but I think he gets steamed for sure. And then the Parkinson is more held in check, and Higbee's already showing to be in check. Right now, if the ownership is true and I knew that, I might have forty five percent Terrence Ferguson. I just think that eighteen percent could be twenty five percent, could be twenty six, seven percent when it's all said and done. And then Parkinson is almost half the ownership.
And when that's the case, then it gets a little more appealing when you're talking the pivot for Parkinson, four hundred more. And it's just really clear like it's. Ferguson seems to be the guy this year at tight end when it comes to catching the football. So I don't know why a Parkinson foreigner more and then how ownership is going to be too close. Again, that's why your inputs are your outputs. If you put in the eighteen percent for Ferguson, I'm getting forty five percent.
If I'm putting in twenty seven percent Ferguson, it's a whole different ballgame. I'm definitely going to be playing, though, all three of them. I think Tyler Higbee is also a very solid play. Six hundred dollar Davis Allen. I don't even think he's the worst play. I mean, if I think two point six points might be enough at six hundred or to slate where I could see that if McCaffrey, the quarterbacks, Puka, Devante all do what they need to. I'm going to play them.
They're going to play a bunch of tight ends. And McVay is very, very savvy with his play calling. He can find guys wide open. Doesn't matter who you are. So I like the tight ends for sure on on the Rams. Little nugget, too, actually, that I just looked up and saw. You guys always say stuff, and then I just think about random shit. My brain works weird.
But when you said stuff about those two, I agree a hundred percent on the Ferguson theme. The touchdown prop is already better for Parkinson. And also, I remember last year, like McVay does this. He rewards him. Remember, he does all the blocking for him, and then they get down there, and then he feeds the touchdown to Parkinson. I like that one, too. You said it was better on Parkinson. What book are you looking at? Bet. Three, six, five. What do they have for both?
Sorry, I'm saying he's plus-four-twenty-five and Ferguson is plus-four-fifty. Oh, wow. Ferguson's plus-three-seventy on DK and Park's plus-four-twenty-five, which just shows if anyone's betting any sport, you have to – it's hard enough you have to price shop, and now you can if you really want to get in the prediction markets. But just that alone, like plus-three-seventy-five versus plus-four-fifty is night and day. So always price shop. Yep. And we saw this last year too, actually. Good shout out by Marquee Sports. Always supporting. We appreciate you said Parkinson.
And we saw those games too, where it was like it was the Adams and Parkinson getting the touchdowns down there after Puka's getting all these crazy grabs and seventy five yards in the first quarter and stuff. And all the touchdowns are just going to those guys once they get up there. So I think that could definitely be a thing as well. Hoop, I'll go back to you, man. Anything on kickers and D's that you want to talk about here specifically?
I will say it looks like Mivas is not just like ownership looks very close, but just the way the lineup build goes, it reminds me like kind of like people see a, a four one and they just close it out with a five one because it's like, it's like in golf. If somebody has all AM guys and like, I may as well just get another AM guy in there just because it looks pretty. I get a six.
It's what I think people do with these roster constructions or look to tell a story that way. So I think it's going to be Mivas that gets a little bit more love here, but what's your thoughts, who, but the kickers defenses, anything else you want to add there?
Back to the the normal like where I like the kickers and don't necessarily love the defenses uh the ownership by the way last night the you know the guy that never likes d said it's defense night and they were damn good both sides there yeah that d man that just overall just real football that defense that's that's impressive when you know you got the backup quarterback in there and they go in there and dominate like that very impressive I do think Rams are probably higher owned.
We're showing that by a little. I think the gap could widen a little bit just because people are going to be excited that the Rams have Mills Garrett. So I think that will increase their ownership a little bit in the gap. We're showing like three percent. I think the gap could be a little wider between the two. Not a huge point, but yeah, I love the kickers too cheap. And then defenses, you know, not a ton. If I get some, I get some.
All right, title. Do you got anything else you want to add there? I'm kickers over defenses today as well. But if the forty Niners, which they are going to be, they're going to be really low on when we need value. What do we have when we have twelve percent when we need value? Because Slate's has no value and everyone's going Ferguson in that range or Parkinson or Corum for a little more or the kickers. It just feels like the ultimate pivot.
And we know random play one play a return or kick return a pick six like rant defense is so random. You have. Forty eight minutes to get random points. So because they're twelve percent and I don't like value pivots much, I think I prefer them. But in a vacuum, kickers look way better than defenses. I think offenses move the football today. Yeah.
And I think people, yeah, too, like the one thing is interesting and this is not that game certainly at all, but like, and that's, it's not about being the, I was going to say about the Mexico game. It's nothing to do with that at all. Not because it's international, different altitudes, all that just pointing out though. Um, I remember that game and remember it was like a hundred and one or a hundred and three points or something.
People just naturally think defenses and kickers mean like low scoring games, uh, Like, oh, it's going to be all this firepower, this offense. There's no way a D could be involved. It's like, oh, that's when the D can also be involved because there's a lot of passing and a lot of things going on. So you could definitely see all of these guys be in the mix. So I think no one's shying away from playing them anyway.
We're not saying anything revolutionary here. I'm just noting it because there's other ways that you can go with your build. And these are also some of the values on the slate tonight. So just thinking about it from that perspective, the way I look at it working backwards is that's four values there. You got Terrence Ferguson here. Not much at right receiver that people are considering. And then you've got Corum. And all of that makes the rest of the stuff fit.
Both quarterbacks, Puka, Adams, and then, of course, CMC. So it's like that's where it kind of plays out. You probably get Williams, like we said, comes back a little because of the Corum and CMC effect and the other guys around Williams like Nacua and Adams. But there's most of those guys like Evans, Debo, Stribling, Kittle, They're not going to get played much. They're going to get played, but it's spread out on them and it's not overall.
So one last thing I have for you, Title, just before we let Hoop look at FanDuel a little bit, any thoughts on, are you in agreeance, I guess I would ask it this way, of like a four, two, five, one Rams builds being super heavy tonight? Does it look that way to you as well? Yeah, very much so, like even more than I initially expected. I think it really comes down to the value for the Niners, even the mid-tier, like it's non-existent.
Every value we've talked about, it's Corum, it's Ferguson, it's Parkinson. Like you just don't have the options. If you're looking at sub-$5,000 plays on the Niners that we've talked about, Black – a backup running back behind McCaffrey that might not even for sure be RB too. That's not comfortable. Three case, a real price use check. Fourteen hundred, like not great. Demarcus Robinson, $3,800. Probably not going to see the field much. The backup tight end in Tonges is $4,400.
So then it leaves you a Pineiro and the Niners defense. It just it's going to be a hundred percent. See, I think for two Rams will be more popular than even three three. And I think five, one Rams will be relatively close to three, three, probably not as popular, but I really think it comes down to when people play the Niners, it's Purdy, it's McCaffrey, and then you're going to get to those receivers. But yeah, they're not low on.
So I think the roster constructions, people are going to go down the same path. So you at least know that coming in. I wonder who, do you have anything, we'll get to Fanville in a second, but just now that again, hear more titles saying and agree with all of it. It's also, then I'm thinking about like these, how does a McCaffrey captain lineup go? So you put McCaffrey in the cap. I'm just talking through it here for a second.
So that seems like it's going to be somewhat popular, but then what do they do with the rest of the lineup? Yeah, you go probably one of the... You go one of the cheap tight ends for sure. Ferguson output for now. Yeah. Um... The one five McCaffrey will probably be as, I'm not saying it's going to be popular, but of all one five teams that we see this year, it'll probably be the highest owned with that being the one up top, I think.
Yep, that'll happen. Typically just doing reviews on that type of stuff. I know, I think you either...
You got really close I think like third before with that right title or something you had you had a one five that got up there we've seen it enough times I'm not saying don't do it in that I'm just from my back testing and looking at stuff it's it's typically really good in like a two hundred or less feel yeah you don't have to be perfect once you get up it's crazy though it is I mean it is still easy it's like man you play uh Ferguson one of the kickers And then you're immediately back to $8,600 for your last three spots.
So it's like really easy to to play legit looking Christian McCaffrey teams. Let me see here. I'm not going to fill it all the way out, but you guys can do it yourself. Yeah, you're right. It's something like this. It's like Purdy with him. So I would just say I'm looking at like combos. I think, again, as much as people may or may not love certain ways of doing things, it's like he is a check down option.
It looks like you can even take these two out for a second and have almost $7,000 left, but it looks like it would probably be people are comfortable with at least Purdy in there and then they'll figure out what the rest looks like. So probably more three, three or even two, four.
Than anything else but that's kind of what the the mcafree builds are looking like going into the lotteries and such that people are playing I think that makes sense yep definitely right yeah uh I talked about it a little bit with like Stafford I just think he's a better mvp play over there than captain on DK, I actually like him, and he's a little cheaper. What is he, $11,400? He's a little cheaper than McCaffrey and Puka. Less value on FanDuel. We talked about Blake Corum on DK.
On FanDuel, he's $7,600, so he's all the way up there. The one guy that is cheap is going to be very popular. Terrence Ferguson is $2,600 on FanDuel.
Um where Parkinson is so that's just like a beautiful tournament sort of flip right there like especially if you're playing like a Stafford captain team and you just want to flip that because if someone's playing one of these tight ends with Stafford it's going to be Ferguson $3,200 more for Parkinson like people aren't going to make that click that's a perfect uh tournament pivot situation before not much on the cheap end like at all um you know Higbee $3,800 it's it's it's tough down there um even where like debo is $7,000 I believe on on DK he's $8,600 on FanDuel, just not many cheap plays on FanDuel.
So Ferguson is going to be very popular over there. But, yeah, I think that's pretty much it. Like Kyron Williams, he's right up there with Purdy. Like Purdy's $10,600, Kyron Williams $10,200. Quarterbacks definitely have an advantage over on FanDuel. So, you know, Kyron Williams is a guy that the ownership could come down a little bit on because of that price tag. I still like him up top on FanDuel.
DeVonta Adams has a good price tag on FanDuel, $9,000. You know, he's got a lot of touchdown upside, so that's very appealing. But the main thing for sure is the Ferguson $2,600. I'd say mispriced, really. Yeah, I think you also made a good call there, too. The MVP ownership gets so...
We talked about this yesterday, for those who missed yesterday's Showdown Shippers show, but the Adams touchdown equity and the Williams touchdown, that type of thing, where they just... Again, I think these ownerships come up a little bit at MVP, but I'm just saying you do see it over there where it's very heavily focused on those big dogs. And remember, what we talked about earlier with conditional and the combinatorial ownership is when you see Christian McCaffrey and Puka... Expensive, but easy to get in.
It's be, it's very easy to get them in because we flip over to flex like hoop set earlier and you go down to $2,600. You've got Ferguson with like the same projected points almost as everybody, you know, $7,600 or below. He's projected for a similar number, just a point and a half less, give or take of quorum. And you can play both together.
So you'll see those lineups over there be a lot more popular because of that and make it up top, but you can get like Adams in instead of Puka and get them at like nothing and just fill it out with a more balanced approach or something. Yeah. It's that Kyron we have, it's going to be higher than that, but we had it like between one and two percent.
And you know, if that is accurate, like he's a phenomenal, phenomenal MVP play on, uh, What do we have? We got to get two percent. Like it's going to be higher than that. But if it is low, like, man, he's got to be one of the best plays up there on FanDuel. And I like I like Stafford. You know, we're showing thirteen percent Stafford. I love that.
If he's going to be like the fourth highest owned guy up top, I think he's a phenomenal play up there on FanDuel. But the kind of thing definitely stands out.
Got him a little light right now for sure because our initial but I agree with you and that's exactly what it is even if this goes to five six seven eight five to ten it's like he's still not really owned on that site versus everything else and then it it the other thing that I think people don't always realize is like it's takes one to do another if if you go with puka up top, let's just say who we would expect to be popular and have $8,200 left.
You can get it back quick with a guy like Ferguson. But also, if you go with Williams and then start building like a more Balanced BuildA balanced build spreads salary fairly evenly across a lineup, using mostly mid-priced players instead of a few stars and several minimum-salary players.Go balanced when the slate lacks trustworthy cheap plays. Forcing stars and scrubs without real value just fills your lineup with players who have no role.Full explanation ↗ or another example, because you talked about it, but just with Devante, let's say he kind of says you got $9,300.
You could get a bit more of a balanced building, but you don't even have to put Puka in there if you don't want to, because now you could be saying, look, yeah, Puka is going to get some yardage, but it's mostly going to be Devante that gets the touchdowns in this build. And you might not even have to go to a Ferguson down low, for example.
So just pointing that out, I want to say that that's another thing to look at when you're doing this stuff, especially on these smaller showdown slates like this. So, Title, anything you saw that you want to add? No, it really comes down to the Ferguson. Like Terrence Ferguson might be thirty eight percent in the flex on FanDuel or something.
I mean, just if you ask him out or if I ask him out my flex, I'm already dropping two and a half points off the optimal, just Ferguson alone. And that just comes down to there's no other value really down there. So I do think overspending for Parkinson or Higbee is pretty interesting just because they're going to play a lot of tight ends. It's almost direct LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. If he's not doing anything you're hoping they do obviously all three of them combust so you can fade all tight ends and stuff but if I am playing Ferguson in the flex I'd probably look to get a little more different at mvp or at least do something to differentiate your lineups yep I agree I'm going to check quickly while we wait here just the um the ship at games who how many people got into it so far we put the link out earlier for members if you guys aren't a member you can go to shipitnation.com and get in Looks like we're pushing two fifty now.
