Shows / NBA/ Friday, November 6, 2026
From the archive. This breakdown is for the Friday, November 6 NBA slate. Salaries, weather and picks were for that day.
Latest NBA show →Matt Belman and Ryan Davenport break down seven main-slate games and two additional FanDuel games, favoring the deep midrange over stars and scrubs. Toronto drives the injury decisions: RJ Barrett looks strong regardless, with potentially heavy exposure if Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley both sit. Minnesota is another priority without Anthony Edwards, with Rudy Gobert too cheap for his upside against New Orleans. Washington offers multiple affordable pieces, especially Alex Sarr if Anthony Davis misses.
Cooper Flagg gets the tournament ceiling call after his strong second half last game. James Harden and Donovan Mitchell offer low-owned exposure to a Cleveland team expected to push hard against Philadelphia, while Trae Young gets a big double-double prediction returning to Atlanta. Kyrie Irving and Lauri Markkanen remain affordable targets. On FanDuel, Luka Doncic is preferred to Victor Wembanyama because of San Antonio's blowout risk, with Portland-Lakers the more appealing late game.
| Play | Call | The Take | At |
|---|---|---|---|
| LEVERAGE | Strictly a contrarian spend-up on a slate with stronger midrange options, rather than a must-play. | 4:09 | |
| VALUE | With Moussa Diabate out, a presumed start and roughly 25 to 28 minutes make him a solid cheap center, though not a must. | 5:55 | |
| ONE-OFF | Looks very strong if active after his previous performance against Atlanta; an absence would improve the other Washington options. | 6:53 | |
| VALUE | Already in play at $5,100 and expected to receive Washington's biggest boost if Anthony Davis sits. | 9:13 | |
| VALUE | A strong look at $7,500 in his return to Cleveland. | 11:03 | |
| Would be one of the slate's best plays if active, but missing shootaround and the end of the previous game leaves his status central to Toronto decisions. | 14:49 | ||
| Included among the playable Milwaukee options, whose discounted prices become more appealing as additional Toronto players are ruled out. | 14:49 | ||
| Toronto Raptors | CORE | Want Toronto exposure regardless of the injury outcomes, with substantial value exposure if Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley both sit. | 15:21 |
| Looks good if active and would receive an additional boost if Scottie Barnes sits; both absences would elevate Toronto's remaining value. | 15:21 | ||
| ONE-OFF | In play at $5,800 alongside the other Milwaukee options discussed. | 16:47 |
Let's go. Clear for lift off. What is going on, Ship It Nation YouTube station? We are back with another edition of the NBA show. It's your boy, Ham, taking strays in the Discord already, but it's okay. It's Friday. It was payday today. We're happy over here. We got an exciting SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Before I kick it over to my boy, Matt, let's say hello to Sean Sully, Philly Phantom, my boy, Newance, Michael, Avery's in the house, Gangrene, Zim, Colin, Coach Sav, Jeff's in the house. Do it. Mike Spencer's in the house. Where you at, Mike? There you go. And Actron. Yep. Hey, we're back. We're here to break down all seven games. Matt, the weather's starting to change outside. Your boy Ham is starting to see the leaves change. That means it's getting colder. It means we got NBA.
We got NFL. But what's going on, man? How's your week been? Happy Friday to you. Man, always good to be out here with you talking some hoops on Friday. That said, I understand why you're catching strays in the chat. Why am I catching strays from Michael about dial-up internet? My internet is pristine. It's been pristine for a while now. Haven't had any problems. And I'm still catching strays. So... There was no one's fault here. Neither of us was even late today.
We just had to catch up a little bit before we had to get the vibes flowing so we could do a good show. That's all. Yeah. We had to get the vibes flowing. It's like, you know, that buildup, Matt, it's like that anticipation, you know, where are they at? Where are they at? Like I've been on the YouTube and that thing you had to do. Yeah. Oh man. I can't wait. Yeah, that didn't set the clock back. I don't have to anymore.
It's ham proof now. They just do it for me. My car does it for me. My phone does it for me. Even ham can't screw that up. But, yeah, Matt and I were chopping it up before the show, catching up because I was traveling all week. But, yeah, looking forward. Like I said, seven games. It's going to be very interesting because we've got a lot of injuries to talk about So I can't wait to get into it.
Someone mentioned my boy Donovan Klingonari. Kling Kong is what I heard Rio say in the chat the other night. He's not on the MAIN slate, but I still like that name. King Kong, the former NCAA champion, King Kong, that is. And yeah, shout out to our boy Rio. I know it's been said a thousand times, but man, making that melee, he's still spending that money. So good for him. Anyway, let's get right into it, Matt. Like I said, seven games. I got the stone pulled up.
We're going to go game by game over here. First up on the slate is one of these ones several injuries, but it's mainly on the Charlotte side. Conn Knipple, one and done. Moussa Diabite, he's out. Dennis Schroeder, he's out as well. Everybody else is out for – or nobody else is out for the Celtics. Grant Williams, revenge game, he's out for the Charlotte Hornets as well. So, interested to get your take on this. You got Jason Tatum. You got Brandon Miller. Let's shout out Nashville.
Paul George in this game. Talk to me. Boston at Charlotte. There's obviously good players in this game between Tatum and Braden Miller. I mean, other guys you mentioned. But in the context of this SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate, man, there's not much to like here. You know, Schroeder being out, like, opens things up a little bit. But, man, like with Kobe Whiteback, like, it just doesn't really matter enough on this slate. There's only two players priced above $10,000 on this entire slate, Tatum and Shea.
And neither of them are must plays. SGA is a stronger play than Tatum. I mean, Tatum to me is strictly a Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Check whether both players still fit your lineup's scoring scenario.Read the full definition of Stars and Scrubs type of slate where you're spending up on, you know, a few guys and going to cheap value. There isn't really a ton of cheap, cheap value, but there aren't spend up guys. There's a ton of guys between $4,000 and $8,000 that look really, really good on this slate.
And this game is just filled with kind of outcasts, not a ton of injury, you know, news here, guys are priced where they should be. Again, you could play the talent with Tatum, Brandon Miller, PG, I guess. But for me, if I'm playing one line, I'm not, I'm not getting to anything from this game. Mew donkey on there, but I said, did I see that right, that Charlotte has an Team TotalIn NBA DFS, a team total estimates how many real basketball points a team will score, usually from the game total and point spread. It does not include fantasy production from rebounds, assists or defensive statistics.Recheck team totals after major news, then ask which players actually benefit. If your projections already reflect the change, avoid adding another automatic boost.Read the full definition of Team Total of ninety nine, Matt? Charlotte has a very low implied total.
I mean, Sabre has a little bit higher, but yeah, like right around one hundred. Gosh, that's super. I don't know if we've seen anything like that all season long. Yeah, good, good break down there. I don't I don't have much, much else to add. Is this Kobe White's first game back? I think he's played one other game, but yeah. All right, good stuff there. Next game up on the slate is the Wizards. Take it on the Hawks in a rematch of their last game.
Trey Young, revenge game, two-point-oh. I just saw in the chat where it said AD is now questionable. That should spice things up. This Hawks team is playing really well this year. NWA, they're pretty good. Easton Flemings, the rookie, got the start the other night. Interested to hear your take on this. A little bit higher total, almost two-hundred-thirty. But talk to me about the rematch, Wizards versus the Hawks.
So this game looks a lot better, but I do have to pause real quick and go back. Just, you know, forgot to mention him. With Diabate out for Charlotte, Hulk Brenner is in play. I think he gets love here. I don't think he's like super popular. He's one of the cheapest guys on the board that's in play as of right now, you know, depending on Toronto news. So, you know, projected to play anywhere between like twenty five and twenty eight minutes.
I think he's a solid ValueValue is the fantasy production you expect from a player relative to his salary. A value play offers more production or upside than his price suggests, whether he is cheap or expensive.Identify why the salary looks wrong: workload, matchup, scoring ability or a pricing error. Then check whether that reason still holds when you submit your lineup.Read the full definition of Value, not a must, but a solid value. Moving ahead to – Sorry. Yeah. Listen, when he gets minutes, I mean, he's a typical big man, right? Like, those are the guys you want at value spots because they can easily get boards, put backs, block shots, and that's what you need for DFS. So, yeah, if he's starting here, you know, presuming he's starting, I think he's a rock-solid value play. I just forgot to mention him. Yeah, no problem.
Yeah, let's go back to this Wizards and Hawks game. Talk to me about this one. So just from like a $30,000 foot view, this game looks a lot more appealing. We just saw this game and a lot of guys got there. A.D. Was awesome in that game. If he plays. I don't know if there's been news since since we started, but presuming he's in, he looks really, really good. If he's out and everyone else looks even better than they do now.
But even with him in. DeBant's coming off a bad game, but he's still priced affordably with no Injury NewsInjury news is information about a player's health that can change whether they compete, how much they play or how effectively they perform. Could only get better looks like one of the best teams on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Yeah. I just think their price tags are more conducive to getting there in DFS. But I think it's more to me like everyone on Atlanta is in play, but I have a hard time like picking out individual guys that I really like. Okonwu may be my favorite. His price tag's up. You know, if Jalen Johnson's not getting like Dyson Daniels is a solid play, but I like the Washington guys in his price range more, so it's harder for me to get there.
What if someone like AD were to miss? Who gets the biggest bump? I saw a Sark.
In the in the chat but like who gets the biggest bump would it be sar sar who's already in play but I think he gets the biggest bump of ad is out yeah and he's $5,100 bucks that's where my head was going as well yeah good stuff there unless you got anything else to add on the Wizards at the Hawks I don't and I want to like Atlanta more but I think you can play multiple Washington pieces and you don't even have to force anything on Atlanta Good stuff.

It's the king. It's Jalen Brown, Vijay Edgecombe, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid. I mean, the list goes on and on. Five all stars or four and a half all stars. Take it on your Cavaliers, Madden. And I'll be honest with you, Cavaliers been disappointing this year. Jarrett Allen, $6,300 bucks. Yeah, they've been bad.
But Jared Allison, Allison Allen is a six, three hundred and Q tag. And the former Nugget great Peyton Watson, $5,700 also has the Q tag. If I'm seeing everything correctly, Matt, seventy six or should be full board tonight with their studs. Talk to me about this game. The seventy Sixers taking on the Cavs. Man, this is a massive game, massive weekend for the Cavs. They play Philly tonight and then the Knicks.
I think on Sunday, if they lose both these games, there's a lot of talk around here that Atkinson is out, like out. And the patience is growing real thin around here. Team just plays uninspiring basketball. A lot of talk that the players want Atkinson out. And honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised at this point. This team is just hard to get on board with. And this is a huge game tonight for the Cavs.
It's a much bigger game for the Cavs and the Sixers, and I like the Cavs in that spot. That said, it's impossible to trust the Cavs right now. As far as DFS goes, two plays from this game I like a good amount. One I like a lot, and that's LeBron. I mean, going back home, he's averaging plus Fantasy PointsNBA fantasy points convert a player's box score into a DFS score, including points scored, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and turnovers. His basketball point total is only one part of his fantasy production. Before trusting an average, check which games it includes and whether the player's role has changed. Separate repeatable opportunities from a few unusually productive games.Read the full definition of Fantasy Points per game. He's $7,500. Yeah, solid, solid look here. And then James Harden, man. $7,300 for Harden coming off. One of his best games of the year.
Played particularly well in the second half. He's just cheap. And you could do worse than a $7,300 James Harden. Again, a big game for the Cavs. And Donovan Mitchell, man. He just doesn't look right. No explosiveness for Mitchell. If there was ever a spot to like him, it would be this. But I just, I don't know, man. Like, I really find it hard to trust him. That said, like, I'm going to shout him out as a guy.
Like, if there was ever a spot to get on board with the studs on the Cavs, it's tonight because this is such a massive game for them. So that's all I'll say. When I opened up the sportsbook today, and I only saw two and a half, Matt. That really stood out to me. I mean, it's only a two and a half point spread. That's obviously super low. Yeah, I like the Cavs a lot. I like the Cavs a lot.
I mean, I think they come out to play tonight. Yeah, I'm going to presume they're not trying to get Atkinson fired. And this is a massive game for them. And again, the regular season in the NBA, there are no massive games. But there are like five to ten spots that are really – You know, again, some games matter more than others, right?
And this is a big one for Cleveland, coming off two losses to OKC at home, probably going to have Dan Gilbert, the owner, like front row. It's a big game for them. LeBron coming home, like they could have LeBron over the summer, all of it. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Yeah, what's the deal with the Cavs this year? Like, why are they so bad? It's the same thing. It's always been with them, right? Like, they're talented, but they don't have the dog in them.
They give up big leads. It just is what it is. They are who they are. Well, like that one man said, the beard is the problem or whatever, and you got the beard, you go nowhere, man. Nah. He's not the problem. He's just not the answer. I mean, they're the same team they were with Garland. You know what I'm saying? Like, I love Garland, but it's not like he's Harden is significantly worse than Garland. He's been better than Garland, actually. Yeah.
All right. Well, good stuff. I'll be rooting you on tonight. I did not see Harden arguing with Atkinson, but I don't doubt it. I'm sure you saw. I saw that clip, too. I heard it could have been Harden arguing with the ref. I don't know. I mean, Atkinson is on thin ice anyways, but yeah.
Yeah, next game up on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate is one that we're really going to want to talk about, Matt, because there is tons of injuries in this game, especially for this Toronto Raptors team. Obviously, you know Kawhi's out. You got Scottie Barnes with the Q tag. Emmanuel Quickly with the Q tag as well.
And then I always butcher his name but jacob jacob portal I think fertile how you ever say his name he's got a q tag he's missed a couple games over the last last few games as well you got your boy tyler hero gonna be chucking it up there at $6,900 so talk me through this game you got the Raptors going into middle walk a to take on this bucks team yeah this game looks uber appealing from df from a DFS perspective first off The more Toronto guys that are out, the more I like Milwaukee.
And Milwaukee's like priced for blowouts because they get blown out a lot. So their price tags aren't conducive to their upside. It's hard not to think this game could be really competitive, especially with more Toronto guys out. So I like Milwaukee here. Hero, Turner, Burries. You talk about Kuzma. Why not? And then from the Toronto side, I mean, if Barnes is in... He's one of the best plays on the slate, but he missed shoot around.
He didn't play the last part of the Denver game. And if he's out, I mean, RJ Barrett already looks like a really strong play. RJ Barrett will look like, I mean, he's going to be like, he's going to be like, if one of Barnes are quickly are in the other one gets, everyone gets a big boost, including the other one. If they're both out, you want a ton of Toronto value. You know, whether it's Walter, Murray Boyles, Jamal Shedd.
Like these guys are going to play no matter what, even if they're in. So if Barnes and Quickly are out, they all look like really good plays. And then as I just said, if Barnes and Quickly are both in, I don't think anyone is an absolute must play, but all of them still are very good plays. Barrett, Barnes, Quickly, Walter, CMB, Purtle. You know, Toronto, it just depends on the injury status.
It's really hard to, like, definitively speak on them right now, but you're going to want some Raptors exposure no matter what. Yeah, I like that. When's my boy Nate Amit going to be DFS relevant, Matt? Is he even getting run right now or not? I mean, he was so – I felt like – He's playing, like, fifteen to twenty minutes over the last five games. His game did not look NBA ready last year. Not that he was bad, but, like, he's soft. Yeah, we need another year at UT.
He did not have a man's body. Let's all put it at that. And, you know, the NBA is a man's league, so. Yeah. Yeah, I just more, obviously, Tennessee guy, so I kind of root for him. Yeah, I saw something in the chat about Jaime Jaquez Jr. Having a good year so far. Any interest in Mr. Jaquez at that $5,800? Yeah. Yeah. Throw Jaquez in that Turner hero. Burry's Kuzma bucket. Well, all in play. I know you're a big Burry's guy.
He was a beast at Arizona last year and $4,400. I can get on board with that as well. Yeah. His body's not NBA ready yet either, but his game is just more like it's easier for his game to translate right away because he's got the ball in his hands. Yep. All right, next game up on the slate, going to be another good one. You got LaMelo going in to New Orleans to hang out with Deshaun Watson and crew.
Anthony Edwards is out, but they're playing the Pelicans tonight at the Smoothie King Center. This one should be a pretty good game. Pelicans beat the Grizzlies not too long ago. Talk to me a little bit about this game. The only real injuries I see in this is Edwards is out, Terrence Shannon Jr. Is out for the Timberwolves, and then Meecy is out for the Pelicans. Should be a pretty good game. Talk to me. Minnesota at New Orleans.
Yeah, Minnesota looks really, really good here. Their prices have come up with Ant being out, but they have been in a lot of tough spots, and today they're in one of the best spots you can be in. So, LaMelo at .A-D, looks really good. I'm always in on DeSumo. He looks good. McDaniels. Rudy Gobert, way too cheap at .A-D. There's a lot of good plays on this SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. I think Minnesota is right at the top of that list. Hard to say how much you want of them right now because it depends on Toronto and there are other spots I like. But if I were making one lineup right now, I find it hard to believe I wouldn't have two Minnesota pieces. So, yeah, they're in a really good spot here. Yeah, Rudy's really popping in Sabre right now. Is big man against the Pelicans, is that still a thing this year, Matt?
Yeah, it's definitely still a thing, and he's in better form recently. So I understand why he's going to be really popular. He's too cheap for his upside. Yeah, I don't know what you mean by you got any rules for the boys. I don't know what that means, but happy to answer. What about some Bones Highland? This guy has Bones Highland to the moon tonight for this Timberwolves team. Any love for Bones Highland? Yeah, sure. Especially with Shannon out, definitely in play.
I mean, all Minnesota looks good. Bones going to get some run. He's cheap. Why not? Who would be, just looking over here at this Pelicans team, who would be your favorite Pelican? Like, do you need a Pelican if you're playing multiple Timberwolves? I don't think so on this slate. I mean, no. They're not even in a good spot. Okay. What did you say? I said Sadiq Bae's been playing good from, you know, decent.
I wish he was a starter, but he's going to chuck it up there if and when, you know, he gets in the game for sure. Yeah, he is. It's just, man, his price is up and, like, I don't know. All these guys' prices are up. DeJounte Murray's back in the mix. Honestly, he might be my favorite piece, DeJounte Murray. But, no, nothing on here. Yeah, that is – Wardow says Bay was a thing because Murray and Murphy have been out. Yeah, good call out there, Wardow.
What about any Matkovich? Nah. I mean, he's too expensive now. Yeah. Oh, yeah, Coach Sal was talking about any rules you put in Sabre when I'm assuming doing – I know you don't typically do buck-fifty in the NBA, but any rules you put in Sabre? I am playing one-fifty tonight, but I'm still not sure what he means for the boys. Is that like me and you, or was there like a certain team? I'm not sure. Yeah, maybe just in general.
Like any rules in general that you typically do, do some SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. I would set, uh, it's a lot of it's injury dependent too. Yeah.
I mean, it could be the, maybe the amount of Raptors you want, but I'm not even sure that cause if Barnes and quickly are out. The problem is with getting so many Raptors, there isn't a ton of Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. So it'll be interesting to see what, like what Sabre gives in that scenario. But yeah, as of now, no. Yeah. All right. Good stuff there. Next game up on the slate. It is going to be an interesting game because there is a ton of injuries.
And a Q tag on Kyrie Irving, but you got the Jazz, the struggling Jazz taking on the Mavs. I saw it's a Cooper flag night. It was a Cooper flag night a couple Friday nights ago, Matt, when you crushed it and some dude tackled him from behind in essence. But you got this Jazz team who I feel like should be better than they are. They just aren't for whatever reason. They are still missing. Jaron Jackson Jr., Nurkic hasn't played all season.
Yeah. I don't believe they're missing any other key pieces. They still got Keontae George, obviously, returning home to his old Baylor-Salmon grounds. He's coming off a monster game. Coming off a monster game, . So, yeah, talk to me about this game. I think I got some interest in this game. I feel like the Jazz play more up and down than maybe some of the statistics show, but Darren Peterson in this game. So, talk to me about this game.
You got the Jazz and Dallas taking on the Mavericks.
Two plays in this game I like a lot and I don't like a ton else obviously you can play Cooper flag whenever but I'm not like building my lineups around him and he's pricey but certainly in play here the two guys I like are Kyrie who's probable monster games and back-to-back back-to-back games and he's still really affordable in a great spot so Kyrie looks good same price tag Laurie Markkinen on the other side of this game, also back-to-back good games.
He's really affordable at seventy-five, $7,400. So I like both those guys. And I will say, like, I'll go back to Coop. Monster second half last time out in that Wemby, you know, insane performance game. So I could see Cooper Flagg having another really good game here. Friday night, yeah, I'm in on Cooper Flagg. So three guys I like a lot in this game. Sorry, say the other two, but that's Cooper Flagg. Kyrie and Markkinen.
Who gets the biggest bump should Kyrie miss? He's not missing. He's probable. He's probable. Okay. Yeah. All right. You got this Grizzlies team coming off back-to-back losses after that hot start that they had, loss to the Pelicans. Lost to somebody the other night, too. I forget who it was off the top of my head, but back-to-back losses. Now they get to take on the world champs from two years ago.
You said it earlier, SGA, the highest-priced guy on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Mitchell's been having a good season so far. No Chet Holmgren for the Sunners team. And then on the other side, it looks like it's full steam ahead for this Grizzlies team. They should be at full strength outside of Scottie Pippen and Beef Stew, both backups for them. But talk to me a little bit about this game. Any interest in Todd Jerome?
Any interest for the number three overall pick, Cameron Boozer, who's playing well? I like this game as well. OKC at Memphis. I don't really like this game that much. I mean, I like some other spots. SGA is always in play. I mean, back-to-back really good games. I don't hate the matchup, but I don't love it either. You got value on OKC. I like, don't love. I like Mara probably the most, presuming he's starting again. I mean, he's, we talked about Kalkbrenner.
Like, Mara is the same, you know, an even better version of that. Just going to rack up DFS points from being huge in the middle. So he's in play. Kenrich Williams. Man. What's he, . I think he's going to be not like popular, but more owned than I ever want him to be. So in play, but I think I'm good on that. I don't see much from this game, man. Like I don't really like it. Boozer and Jerome are both expensive now.
Like they're both in play on any slate at this point because they've got upside, but pretty sure that monster boozer game that came when Jerome was out. And Jerome, he's pricey now, so you need like those big games. You know, in playing tournaments along with Coward. Other than that, can't say I'm overly interested. Yeah, Boozer, that was against Portland. I think, man, I like Cameron Boozer. He ate two of those. It's too expensive for him, isn't it? Yeah, I think it's too expensive on paper.
So only really a tournament like ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Read the full definition of Contrarian guy. Again, his monster game came when Ty Jerome was out. Yeah. Is it okay to play Kyrie and Koop in the same lineup? I think so. In this spot, their price tags. Yeah, why not? Yeah, just some late-breaking news, Matt, that I want to circle back to is we just got the notification that Jalen Johnson... Will not be suiting up for this Atlanta Hawks team.
So we have the usage tool that I can pull up as well, but what does that do for you on the Hawks side? Like who does that boost for you as it relates to the Hawks? And then what does that do for you conversely on the other side? Does that make you like any of the wizard Wizards even better? I mean, yeah, we just saw this.
So it doesn't like change a ton because we literally just saw this exact scenario and prices are up now in Atlanta a little bit. So yeah, I like them more than if Jalen Johnson were in, but still not locks for me. I mean, whether it's Na, Dyson Daniels, Okongwu is probably my favorite. Yeah, he's coming off a monster game. Great spot for him, especially if AD's out. So I like Okongwu. Fleming's starting probably. They're all in play for me, but there's no one that's a must.

Okay. And are you, like, locking Lou Dort? No. I wouldn't lock Lou Dort with your money. So, no. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not a Lou Dort guy by trade. He's $5,000 on DraftKings, too. That's expensive. Like, who would Jalen Johnson be guarding on the other side? That's who I want to be playing.
Would he be guarding AD or Saar, or who would he be guarding? I mean, does it matter? Like, because I'm not worried about, like, if you were playing whoever he would be guarding, like, would you like them more or less than with him out? Yeah, because now he gets – And it's not like Jalen Johnson is some elite defender. I know, but he's just good. Yeah.
Yeah, but I feel like whoever's coming in for him, I mean, I don't know exactly what they're going to do. You know, we did see this last game, so do you want to pull that up? Yeah, what do you want me to pull up? I don't know, whatever you were asking. That's why I wanted you to pull it up because I forgot what you asked me. I just said, who would he be guarding? I want to get that guy, more of that guy.
I mean, it depends, I think, if AD is in or out is the other thing. So I think it's just, you know, we're not sure yet. The AD news is really big because – have we gotten that yet? I haven't checked. I haven't seen it. I also saw, man, RIP to Chris Stapps for Zingas' twenty-twenty-six, twenty-twenty-seven season. He's stepping away from the game he loves, Matt. How do you feel about that? I mean, that's too bad, right?
Like, I feel like something serious has to be going on for – for him to step away. So it's sad to see. I mean, I don't, other than that, I personally don't care, but yeah, I mean, sucks. Yeah. I hate that. All right. That was quick. These, the seven games, Matt, when they, when they do those games that sit, uh, or I guess it's seven Eastern and they cut it off at eight Eastern.
You got an hour, you got an hour sprint to get to, and then there's no more changing of the, uh, changing of the team. So that limits the games. If you get over on FanDuel, they should have. How many more are on FanDuel? Two. Let's talk those last two. It's going to be the Spurs coming off Wimby's a hundred. He scored a hundred points, Matt, in fantasy, which is pretty good in case, in case you're wondering. Yeah. So, so Spurs at Kings.
Yeah. If you want to talk a little bit about that. Man, that Wimby game was insane, huh? It really was. What do you have like fifty four and twenty five or something like that? Fifty four, like twenty. Yeah. Twenty five. Eight blocks. Hundred six Fantasy PointsNBA fantasy points convert a player's box score into a DFS score, including points scored, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and turnovers. I mean, it's hard not to see that the Spurs is absolutely rolling the Kings here. Right. I mean, how come they're so dysfunctional?
I feel like every single year of like the last five years. The Kings. Yeah. Just so bad. Yeah. Oh, your boy. Your boy. Acuff? No. He's not your boy? Yeah, Cardwell. Dylan Cardwell. He's not even playing yet. Well, they're ramping him up. Hey, he'll get in here before you know it. You'll be touting an eight-minute Dylan Cardwell before you know it. Don't you worry.
So, if I were playing this SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate, I think you could easily play it like the Spurs roll, and you want just a lot of the Blazers-Lakers game. Yeah. Luka over Wemby, although certainly playing them both is in play. Obviously, if Wemby does anything close to what he did last time, the Kings are just awful. San Antonio is an eighteen point road favorite here. That's insane. Yeah, similar, same totals in both teams, but. Yeah, like I guess in the context of.
If these two games were on DraftKings, like they are FanDuel, so for FanDuel purposes, I think the Blazers and Lakers game is appealing. I mean, close game, really good players. I struggle with wanting to Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up for Wemby in this spot because I think the Spurs roll. The Kings are awful. So, yeah, do you see it similarly? Yeah. I mean, yeah, that's just the – I wouldn't get to anybody on the Kings. I don't think I'm just trying to look.
I mean, I mean, a cuff is a stud, but yeah. Can they keep it close? Probably not. I feel like if you're playing the Spurs guys, you want someone like a cuff. Cause that's the only way is him like getting extremely hot. That's insane though. Like you're right. Eighteen point road favorite in the league. You just don't see that. Yeah. Ever. That's insane.
What sticks out to you in this Lakers and Trailblazers game outside of the fact that it's going to be a really good game? Denny, Luka. I like both those guys a lot. I mean, Klingin. Man, these teams are awesome. So I think those three guys I'd be looking at hard on a MAIN SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. I mean, Luka's been awesome, right? Yeah, he's been really good.
But, man, you look at that Lakers lineup, goodness gracious alive. Like, is that not just the worst lineup in the history of the NBA? I mean, maybe that's a little – That's way too harsh. I don't think they're legit title contenders for sure. No. Okay, Lakers or Cavs as far as title contenders go? I mean, neither. Neither. Right. But, I mean, the Cavs got four all-stars, in my opinion. I mean, I guess Jared Allen's not an all-star. Maybe he is.
But, I mean, they got four dudes that are pretty good. Where the Lakers have two. But the Lakers got the best player of the bunch. That's true. And an NBA that matters. Yeah, he's pretty good. Yeah, I don't think either one of them are contenders. But I would take the Cavs. Yeah, I mean, it makes sense. The Cavs have made it farther recently, you know. I mean, they were in the Eastern Conference Finals last year, so it's not, like, crazy.
Man, what might have been in a twenty-eight point lead in game one, too, and then just, man. Was that game one? I think it was. That was game one. Yeah. I will say that Eastern Conference Finals run was pretty fraudulent, though. Like, they had a losing record in the playoffs. And, yeah, that game one was their undoing, but still. Like, they were never... I hate this team. I don't know, man. That had to take a little bit out of them.
Oh, I'm sure it took a ton out of them. I don't think they were winning the series anyways, but after that, they were completely done. Yeah. For some reason, it's just really hard to root for this team. I don't know why. This version of the Cavs? Yes. Yeah. All right, well, that'll do it. That's all seven games. Just a little chatter on the last two for FanDuel. Matt, give me your top overall play. Can't be Tatum, can't be SGA.
So give me someone sub-XK that's your favorite play of the day. Then I want to ValueValue is the fantasy production you expect from a player relative to his salary. Give me Mara for OKC. Starting, playing good minutes. Like, this guy's just a DFS.
Like, he's just going to rack up DFS points because he's huge in the middle. Didn't he get benched last game? He had a good second half. I mean, his first run was bad, and then he had a good second half. To be quite honest, I'm not sure. I didn't follow. Yeah. No, that's not your best play of the slate, surely. The goodness is it. I mean, I like his price point, so I just wanted to call him out. That can be your value guy.
That can't be who you're touting as your favorite. So you go your value guy first, and then I'll get back to you. All right, fine. I'm just going to take the easy answer here because I liked him a lot that last Friday we did. I love how he had a monster second half last time out. I love the matchup. Give me some Cooper flag tonight. I'm going to lead the slate in scoring. You're going to need him in tournaments.
All right, I'm going to go with my boy. I'm going to go with my boy, the fellow Frenchman. The fellow Frenchman holding down the middle, Rudy Gobert is my favorite value player. Oh, man, the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Wow, you're going to give me shit about mine and then come with the literal highest owned player on the slate. Hold on, he is? I wasn't – Rudy Gobert. No, I'm being facetious, but this is like the time we talked about – I don't know, Braylon Allen and someone.
All right, all right, all right. Like, they're all going to be high-owned. It's not a matter of – I didn't realize he was going to be high-owned. Oh, yeah. Yeah, okay, then give me the Rook. Give me the Rook. Give me Kingston Flemings. I like this Hawks team better than you. I like him, too. No, I like him, too. It's a good call. His owner – I mean, he's high-owned, too. He's twenty-two percent. I think it's just going to go up as well.
Kingston Flemings, my favorite. You said Cooper Flagg. I think my boy – Go ahead. No, I got another one, too, because I'm going to just take away the Mara call. All right. I'm going to go a double one. So I'm giving three plays here. Cooper flag. They're all kind of high, high price. Not going to be crazy popular. I like both. What? Avery said that's your Mickey Gasper. I think he was talking to you. I think he was talking to you. He had, like, ten home runs.
I think he's talking to you anyways about whoever you're talking about. No, I didn't like Miske Gasper. You liked Miske Gasper. Yeah, I know. The dude was bunning, like, every play because he can't hit. He hit, like, ten home runs. You're crazy. He hit ten home runs. He hit a bunch of home runs. In, like, a two-week span. Yeah, he did. Whatever. Either way. No, he was in the playoff line. I got the play of the night when you're done. I got it.
I'm done. Go ahead. Go ahead. I got a double play of the night. Two guys who I talked about. Monster game for the Cavs here. I like Harden and Mitchell. I think they play a ton. I think they go all out to get this dub. Lest we forget, they had a twenty-eight point lead in the first game of the season against Philly. Ended up losing that game. Revenge spot for them. Braun coming back in. The whole world is on Philly.
As you said, two and a half point spread, however. I like Spida a lot here. Like if there's ever a Spida spot, it's tonight, man. He might be, I mean, Spida and Harden. I'm worried both those guys are like a little bit washed. But for one night, they got it. They're both affordable, going to be LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. Who you got? Yeah, I'm going that same sentiment too, man. It's like this guy spent his whole career in the ATL. Now he's coming back home.
First game. I know it's a rematch they already played, but this is the first game in Atlanta. $8,100. Trey Young. Maybe that's a little high, but I think he goes double double. I like Trey Young tonight to go home. First game. I'm going to bump my spider exposure in Harden because of you. So I'll be rooting them on.
But I like me some Trey Young and Harden. Kingston and Rudy. No Lou Dort, though. I do not like Lou Dort, but, man, that was some good stuff. Yeah, I think good stuff. Anything else, Matt? No, I like the play. R.J. Barrett's a good play, too. R.J. Barrett's just like a lock. I mean, he's – I didn't want to give him out because he literally will be the highest on player on the slate, presuming one of the stars.
You like him with or without Scottie, right? He's a really good play no matter what with Barnes quickly, both in, he's a good play. If they're both out, he's the best play on the slate at his price. So he'll be owned as such, but he's almost impossible to get away from in that scenario. You know, like he's okay. All right. Let's do this quickly. Yeah. And Barnes are out. How much RJ Barrett are you having? I mean, I bet like, I don't know.
I don't know the answer to that, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's like seventy five percent. So you're OK with having seventy five percent and one fifty. Wow. You like him that much. I mean, I don't know if I'm OK with that, but I think that's what like we might be given like fifty percent minimum probably. I mean, I'm not sure. But you want to be over the field, whatever it is on R.J. Barrett. Should those guys miss?
Depending on how high it is, I think he looks really, really good. It's such a good spot, too. My thing is, do you see almost any scenario where Milwaukee rolls here and he loses run because Milwaukee blows out? It's really hard to see that scenario, right? I know, yeah. Well, I mean, if Barnes and... I mean, I think Barnes matters. It's the scenario we're talking about. We're talking about the scenario where Barnes and Quickly are out. So I'm saying even in that scenario.
Yeah, I think it's more likely. I think it's more likely, yeah. I do too, but I don't trust Milwaukee to roll anyone. So I'm not not playing Barrett because of that. And in any non-blowout script, I think it's hard for Barrett not to get there. Now, that said, there are a lot of good plays on this slate. So maybe I'm being overzealous about Barrett just because, like, there are tons of options in his price range you can play. So I'm not sure.
Yeah. All right, man, that'll do it. Enough chatter. Hey, appreciate everyone in chat. You guys make it fun for sure. Matt, appreciate doing these shows each and every Friday.
