Shows / NFL/ Sunday, October 4, 2026
From the archive. This breakdown is for the Sunday, October 4 NFL slate. Salaries, weather and picks were for that day.
Latest NFL show →Matthew Belman and Ryan Davenport approach Week 4 through cheaper running backs and alternatives to popular builds. Braelon Allen ($5,200) draws agreement for his expected workload without Breece Hall and favorable Bears matchup. Bucky Irving ($6,000) gets an aggressive overweight call, including roughly 35% FanDuel exposure, but the hosts disagree on taking him over Aaron Jones Sr. Christian McCaffrey leads the premium running back discussion, while Tennessee’s defensive front raises concerns about Derrick Henry.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba leads the receiver rankings, with Ja’Marr Chase another strong spend and Puka Nacua and Nico Collins appealing before their prices rise. Bengals-Jaguars attracts chalk, and late defensive absences strengthen interest in Jacksonville stacks. Drake Maye offers a contrarian quarterback route, while Jalon Daniels opens salary with rushing upside. Brock Bowers ranks first at tight end, T.J. Hockenson supplies savings, and the Jets lead the cheap defense options.
| Play | Call | The Take | At |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kyler Murray + Jordan Addison + T.J. Hockenson | LEVERAGE | Murray offers a low-owned way into popular Minnesota pieces, with Addison and Hockenson attractive against Miami without Justin Jefferson; enthusiasm for Murray is split. | 4:25 |
| PAY UP | His $7,700 DraftKings and $9,100 FanDuel prices are defended for rushing and overall ceiling without requiring a stack, though the hosts split on using him in a single lineup. | 4:51 | |
| Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase + Tee Higgins | IN PLAY | Cincinnati offers clear stacking partners in the highest-total game, with a major combined ceiling but substantial expected ownership. | 8:01 |
| FADE | Neither planned to roster him, despite acknowledging his cheap salary and a theoretical tournament pivot from Jeremiyah Love. | 9:49 | |
| Matthew Stafford + Puka Nacua + Davante Adams | IN PLAY | The double stack is specifically liked for large-field tournaments after Stafford's productive passing performance. | 9:49 |
| Matthew Stafford Stack + Makai Lemon | BRING-BACK | Lemon is the inexpensive opposing receiver suggested with a Stafford stack on either site. | 10:13 |
| The hosts split between his $4,800 DraftKings salary, rushing upside and Ben Johnson's playcalling versus preferring the opposing Jets defense. | 10:57 | ||
| VALUE | At $4,400 on DraftKings, his rushing upside opens salary elsewhere, and pairing him with a teammate is optional. | 12:54 | |
| PAY UP | He is preferred among the premium backs because he costs less than the alternatives discussed, catches passes and should stay involved against Denver. | 14:24 | |
| He remains in the player pool, but the depleted center position against Jeffery Simmons raises concerns about reaching the ceiling required at his salary. | 15:23 |

I was about to say it's over.

Yeah, man, happy to be on here with you. Busy week, as you know, so happy to be focused on some NFL. I'm sure we will have some. Similar takes, some different takes, and I'm excited to agree and to argue about some stuff with you. Yeah, we certainly will.
So Austin Eckler is starting to get lathered up. The week two is crazy. Austin Eckler was out in Vegas and we were out there a month ago and now he's playing in the NFL, which is crazy. But yeah, so we got a good game brewing now. Inactive's coming out here. We'll get into those. Then we'll talk about ways to build a contrarian construction. We got three Milly makers today, Matt, two on DraftKings and then Fandles running a three, three, three Milly Maker as well.
So, so yeah, looking forward to that. A lot of overlay, $3,000 open spots to left over there on FanDuel. If you want to jump in two hours left, an hour and a half left. Biggest news I heard this morning, Matt, was Lane Johnson had some personal matters, may not play. I did like me some Saquon, so I was going to get into Saquon. But anything anything that sticks out to you as we head into inactives and before we break it all down?
Nothing really. That's like happened today. I don't think we're waiting on anything crazy. I mean, I expect say flowers to play. I don't know if that's come out, but he's been trending positive all week. It seems like Lane Johnson surprising. That wasn't really a spot I had all too much interest in anyways, though. So yeah, nothing crazy this morning that has changed what I'm doing at least. Yeah, I mean, the Lane stuff – you got me, Matt? I got you. You got me.
Yeah, yeah, I got you. I get it. Yeah, the Lane stuff is – I mean, that's big news. I mean, he's one of the better offensive linemen, right? Eagle's got a bunch of things. But, yeah, Zay Flowers is going to be in, we believe. Everybody's going to be in. Mike Evans is going to be in, we believe. But, yeah, let's talk about it. Let's go position by position on this show. The boys went game by game this morning. We're going to start.
I'm showing the stone, two point over here. I got it sorted by DraftKings projection on the quarterback position, Matt. We got Josh Allen leading the way. Lamar Jackson against those Titans. Brock Purdy, Joe Burrow kind of lead the way. Talk to me through this quarterback position. How are you leaning in tournaments right now? As always, again, before bye weeks, a lot of good plays on the slate, no doubt about it. You can Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ if you want.
I think there's enough value in other positions to do so, but for me, if I'm playing one lineup, I don't think I'm playing Josh Allen. In tournaments, I like it, but it looks like he's getting enough OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ where I think that's accounted for. I think both quarterbacks in the Cincinnati-Jacksonville game make sense. For me, I like spending down a little bit more. Kyler Murray is someone who I like quite a bit this week, even though he's looked awful.
Everyone loves the pieces on the Vikings, but no one really wants to play Murray. I love spots like that. I understand why you probably don't, and I'm sure you'll get into that. But I think there's a wide array of QB options here. You can spend up totally. Mid-tier looks good. LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ guys all over the board. And it doesn't look like there's any one guy that's going to be – crazy, overly owned. It looks pretty flat all over the board. How are you seeing it?
Yeah, excellent breakdown there, Axtron. I got you here for FanDuel as well. But, yeah, see, I'm a little different than you. I love Josh Allen this week, and the reason, too, I mean, the guy's Superman. He's projected on both sites to be the highest-scoring guy. I don't mind the price of seven-seven or nine-one. You don't necessarily have to stack him with anybody either because he can rush for two. Throw to two or three different receivers for a touchdown.
And the reason I say I like him is like when you start looking at the Brock Purdy's of the world, the Lamars, with Joe Burrow you have some stacking options. But there's really not good stacking pieces with any of these quarterbacks. And if I'm just picking a quarterback to go out and get me thirty or forty, Josh Allen leads the way. I mean, Joe Burrow, yeah, obviously you can go chase and Higgins there.
That would be like the biggest for me, but you're also paying a lot of money. So I like Josh Allen. Yeah, I don't really love Kyler. You nailed that one. Who I do love, and he's not showing very well as projection on DraftKings, is CJ Stroud. I love CJ Stroud today. I think he's in a great spot playing this Cowboys team. Joey Porter Jr. Does nothing for me. You know, hasn't played in over a year or, you know, this year and no training camp.
So give me some CJ Stroud. Love him and, and Milly type tournaments, love him on, on small, small field, Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Full explanation ↗ type things as well. And then, yeah. So talk to me a little bit about this Burrow Lawrence, $5,900 for Lawrence. I think he's gonna be popular at that price. Burrow's sixty eight, that game, fifty one and a half point total highest total on the board. Talk to me about that game.
Like if you were going to pick a quarterback and stack them with two of his receivers or a tight end, which one, which one would you be doing? Man, I think you could go to either side there as far as who you'd want to stack up. I lean Cincinnati, but Jacksonville's in a spot where they should get pushed. I think the pieces are just cleaner with Cincinnati. You know who you want to play.
Kind of feels like that on both sides, though. That's why that game's going to get love. The quarterbacks are fairly priced. The wide receivers, Chase, you know what you're getting. He's expensive, but deservedly so. Barker Washington, too, is cheap. And then Higgins is a nice mid-tier piece. Chase Brown, Tootin, like that game has a lot of desirable pieces, none of which are expensive outside of Ja'Marr Chase.
So I think that's going to be the overall OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ game on the board, highest total, et cetera, et cetera. Are you leaning on getting away from that game? I have a Trevor Lawrence team or two in the melee over on FanDuel. I don't necessarily love it. If you listen to Leverage Lane yesterday, Tambo was getting completely away from it. I think that's tough. The boys were talking about Parker Washington versus Rashi Rice this morning.
Parker Washington is going to be popular as always. He's a Target ShareTarget share is the percentage of a team's targets (passes thrown toward an intended receiver) that go to one player. A receiver who sees 8 of his team's 32 targets has a 25 percent target share.Judge target share over the last three or four games, not the full season, especially after a trade, an injury or a quarterback change. The most recent role is the one you are paying for.Full explanation ↗, target monster. He's good. I like Brenton Strange today. He's $5,100 on FanDuel. I know we'll get to tight answer in a little bit, but I think it's tough to just completely, one hundred percent fade it. But if you're in Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Full explanation ↗, I think it's more than fine not to play. I think Higgins is going to come with some ownership on both sites as well.
But man, you know, once, twice a year, those Bengals, you know, have forty to thirty nine point games and Chase and Higgins and Burrow get like one hundred and forty points. So, you know, is that today? I don't know, but it's certainly shaping up to be that way. Well, I'll say this. They played last year and Chase had like, I think, twelve catches or something like that. Maybe fourteen catches. Yeah. Yeah. Like they funnel here. So Chase should eat.
I mean, it's a matter of does he score? Does he score twice? You know, this game. I think there are certainly reasons to like it. We talked about it. The price tags are desirable. High total, et cetera. But as always with NFL, especially this early, there are a lot of good games. You talked about how you like Josh Allen a lot. I see someone here saying Sam Darnold for all the money. There are scenarios where this game scores decent, but other games just are better.
It's the nature of DFS and whether you want to play into the high ownership because you're going to need it to really go off. Assorted by ownership now, and you see Lawrence and Burrow are one and three. Let's talk a little bit about – no one's mentioned Jacobs Brissett. I have zero Jacobs Brissett that I'm aware of. But talk to me about Jacobs Brissett and him and his passing attack. Yeah, I like Kyler more, so I'm good. You know I play limited lineups.
Not playing a ton today, so – I'm not playing him. He's a fine play. He's kind of fits into the group of a solid cheap play. You know, a guy that he moves the ball, you know, he's like a perfect DFS quarterback. He's on a perfect spot. He moves the ball. He's a good quarterback when your team is trailing this game. I think you're going to see Jeremiah love, get a lot of love.
So I do think that percent makes sense in tournaments is kind of a, pivot off of that or playing them together. How do you feel about Brissett today? No, no Brissett. There's three quarterbacks that I want to touch on. Then we'll move on. Sean Sully, Sean Sully hits it first. I love me some Matthews Stafford is today in GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Full explanation ↗. I think this is a perfect spot. Puka and Devante paired with him.
You can bring back lemon on the other side. He's dirt cheap on both sites. Love that. Man, we saw – I don't know if you stayed up last Sunday night. I was in and out. But, man, he was just flinging that thing around to dudes I've never heard of, Kanata Mumpfield, whoever that is, like, three hundred and eighty yards. So, Matthews Stafford, when he gets cooking and rolling and Kyron Williams is catching passes, I like Matthews Stafford.
Then I'll touch on two others, and then I'll pass it back over to you. Drake May, I like Drake May on both sides, $6,000, and I think $7,400 on FanDuel. Love Drake Mayne, what he can do, especially with his legs, especially in a game where he should get pushed. All the talk this week about what is he doing, and rightfully so, he's had some bad plays.
And the last one that I have a ton of interest in, is Tyson Bagent, $4,800 bucks on DraftKings, $6,700 on FanDuel. We saw what Case Keenum did, you know, out of nowhere. And I think it's more of a Ben Johnson thing, Matt. I think you got a defense that's not great. I mean, certainly they're OK, but you get you get Tyson Bagent has rushing upside. We saw what he did in the preseason.
We're getting we're getting week three prices for all of Tyson Bagent and his and his pieces. You got a cheap you got cheap receivers up and down the board, cheap tight end. So give me some Tyson page and anything, anybody else that we didn't kind of touch on that you want to hit on. I like the Stafford call a lot. I mean, he's a true gunslinger, right? Like rare mold these days, Tyson Bay.
It makes sense just because of the Ben Johnson shout out. I'm more in on the Jets here. I like them as a defense. We'll get to them, but I get it. He's cheap. He's got good weapons and a great, you know, play caller. So it's a good combination. No doubt about it. Uh, I think for me, like he falls into the same bucket as Brissett. I like the Stafford call. And who was the third guy? Uh, Bajan. Uh, Bajan may, may, may.
I love the may call. I mean, that is a elite ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. Like those are the guys that, you know, can win you tournaments at really low OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ coming into the year. He was a first round pick in, you know, or one of the first quarterbacks taken in year long fantasy leagues, uh, A guy was a monster all of last year, and the star has faded quickly, but still only week four.
The line on this game tells you that New England can and should be competitive, and if that's the case, I expect May to have a good game. I love that call. Yeah, May's going to put up some points. All right, this is the last one, then we'll move on. We didn't touch on it, but A rookie making his first start against a bad defense has tons of rushing upside. In my opinion, I saw him play for nine years at Kansas.
Jalen Daniels, only $4,400, almost stone men on DK allows you to get to a lot of other things. I think you can pair him with an Emeka Buka or Bucky or somebody like that. But at that price tag, I think you can get away from that as well. Any interest or how many teams would you have to be building to get some Jalen Daniels? Well, I'm playing four teams and he's on one of them. So great. There's that.
I mean, I don't love it, but he's so cheap and he runs. So, this is a game I think Tampa's competitive, if not outright wins. So, yeah, give me a little bit of Jalen Daniels. I'm with you. So cheap, rushing upside, that's all you need. So cheap, rushing upside, and I've seen numerous places. Good enough weapons, too. Yeah, yeah, got good weapons. Emeka, Buka, who I'll get to. But I don't care that he runs a four-six, Matt. I don't run him running for forty yards.
I want him, like, eluding a defensive lineman and outrunning a linebacker to get me seventeen and a first down into a touchdown seven times. So, yeah, yeah, rushing upside is there. I love me some Jalen Daniels, so we're in line there. All right, moving over. Good stuff there on the quarterbacks. If you've got any questions during this show, certainly put them in the chat. We'll try to get to them, Matt, if you see them. Try to pick them off as well.
We're in the stone, two point over at Ship It Nation dot com. Going to move over to running back once again. I'll start out by sorting a DK projection. Well, Kenneth Walker leads the way. You got the big dog. He's going to be eaten today against the Titans. CMC cook the usual suspects. Let's talk about let's talk about high end, you know, popular, expensive running backs. Who's kind of leading the way for you in that in that field?
Yeah kind of similar well not similar to quarterback but similar to what we've seen recently all the high-end guys look good we don't have bijan we don't have gibbs so it feels like it makes it a little bit easier but I don't know man between like Derrick Henry mcafree kenneth walker all three of those guys look really good I think mcafree looks the best at the cheapest tag very involved in the past game should be a competitive spot here against Denver.
So he should be on the field a little bit more than we've seen. So I like McCaffrey the most, but you tell me you like Henry and are a true revenge. Hasn't faced the Titans since he left them yet. I get it. Kenneth Walker has just been monstrous. I like that game environment. So yeah, I mean, I think all three of those guys have a significant role on this slate. Eileen McCaffrey. How about you? Yeah, so I'm kind of conflicted, Matt.
And this is like, I want to give a hot take, but not too hot. But man, I love Derrick Henry just as much as the next guy. But they're on their fifth string center going up against Big Jeff, Jeff Simmons. He's a rookie guard having to play center today. We saw what happened in week two against the Saints when they had no receivers. They lost to the freaking Saints. Now you get the Titans who are horrendous. I get it.
But the one saving grace about that Titans team is their defense, especially their defensive line with Jeffrey Simmons. If it wasn't that he was like the great, you know, one of the top three or four greatest Titans ever, he still has a lot of tread left on the tires as we saw in week one. I mean, he's super expensive on both sites. Like, I think he's got to get, I mean, even if he gets one, twenty and two, Matt, he's not going to catch many passes.
Like, I just don't even think he's on a winner at one, twenty and two, which would put him at what, like twenty seven points. I think he needs to go for like forty, thirty five, forty. I mean, that's if he catches zero passes. He's at twenty seven. I mean, how many has he caught this year? I mean, it can't be more than five. I'm sure he catches like a couple a game, somewhere around there.
So, yeah, I mean, to your point, if I told you right now he's getting you one, twenty, and two with the passing work, like average of what he normally does, you're not playing him? If you're telling me, if you guarantee me twenty-seven with the big dog, I wouldn't play him. I would. I mean, just because those guaranteed points are so valuable. I don't think he gets there either. I mean, the Titans defensive line is good. Like, really good. I agree with your point, though.
I love that point. Like, Simmons is a monster. They're on their, like you said... Back up to the backup center. They're starting literally like a, I think Tennessee does everything they can to not let Henry beat them here. That doesn't mean it's going to work. I agree. I'm with you.
Like, I'm like, that's a part of the reason I like McCaffrey more, uh, he's cheaper involved in the passing game and, uh, Yeah, I also think, like, there's some cheaper running backs that are definitely in play here. So, wide variety. Of course, I like Walker, Henry, and McCaffrey. Got plenty of them all over the board. But, like, in tournaments, I'm taking a cheaper James Cook than Kenneth Walker. I love – I mean, James Cook is a one-fifty-and-one machine.
If things go his way, he's one-eighty-and-three, you know, if he doesn't fall out at the one or two or something like that. I love James Cook today. What's your take on James Cook? I like him. It sounds like you like that game a little bit more than me, but I think he's a nice ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. You know, I think it's tough to get to him over those guys, but he's a little bit cheaper and going to be a lower own. So it makes sense in that regard. You know, let's get into some of the, I switched it over to the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. We got Chase Brown, who's kind of a unique situation. $6,100 on DK. He's all the way up to $7,600 on Fandles. So he won't get played much over there.
And then Aaron Jones Sr., back-to-back weeks, the twenty-plus carries, now the third week against the Dolphins. You couldn't ask for a better matchup here. And then Jeremiah Love and Cam Scadaboo in that same game, all around $6,100 to $5,800 bucks. Talk to me through that range. Chase Brown, Aaron Jones Sr., Love, and Scadaboo. Yeah, so I like all those guys. That's not even my favorite in this range. But my favorite of the guys you mentioned is Aaron Jones. I know it doesn't feel good.
He goes to the locker room every other drive. He's going to be owned. But monster workload. Massive matchup. Like... I think that Robert Flores puts this Dolphins with a personal ax to grind, like put this Dolphins offense in shambles, and they're just running it into nothing all game and giving the Vikings the ball in good field position is honestly how I see it. So I like the Vikings a lot today. Jones is a main piece. He's not priced for this role.
Wouldn't really want to play him if he was more expensive, but he's not. So yeah. Yeah. I mean, on Jones, I like Scadaboo, especially as a pivot off of what I expect to be a real ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ Jeremiah Love. I think he could end up being the highest on player on the slate. Really? We clearly got him at twenty percent. I feel like he's going to be real popular here and I get it. He's been awesome. Good spot.
I like Scadaboo as like a pivot off of him at a little bit more expensive price point. Chase Brown looks good in a game environment that I like. He's going to get owned just because of that. And then the guy I really like who's a little bit cheaper than all those guys, Braylon Allen. I'm a big fan of his skill set. Liked him a lot in college. I think they're going to let him be the workhorse.
He took the majority of carries last year when Brees Hall was out. I like this spot. I think the Jets are undervalued by the market right now. And I like Allen at $5,200 a lot here. Man, we're aligned at the hip there. Braylon Allen's in a great spot. He was playing thirty, forty percent of the snaps with Brees Hall in.
Now you get Brees Hall out, the former Wisconsin Badger coming back to the Midwest at $5,200 and $5,700 against arguably the worst defense. Like he couldn't get a better, much better matchup today. And, you know, the boomer Franks Reich's going to turn around and put in his belly twenty times. I think Braylon Allen's in a great spot in tournaments today. He's going to come way under-owned than he should, in my opinion. So we're there together.
I don't know if you listened to Leverage Lane yesterday, and I like him too, but Kyron Williams at .Cyra on DK after that performance he had on Sunday night where he really out-snapped, out-routed Blake Corum. Do you have any interest in Kyron Williams at .Cyra? Yeah, I mean, man, that's a cheap tag for Kyron.
In a game, you feel like the Rams should – kind of control Eagles are missing guys Eagles did not look good on Monday night um yeah I could get on board with all the Rams I don't like have and none of them are like ultimate priorities for me but all of them are in play for me if that makes sense Yeah, and then Sean Sully is talking about DeAndre Swift going totally overlooked. I don't have much DeAndre Swift.
I respect this Jets defense a little bit, plus Swift got banged up there late Monday night, so I think Menunga is going to get – I mean, Menunga has literally gotten ten carries all three weeks. I think Menunga is going to get ten-plus carries, any interest in DeAndre Swift. I'm out on the Bears today, so I'm good. Out on the Bears, wow. I like the Jets D a lot, so yeah. All right. A couple more I want to tie off on.
Let's talk a little bit about Emmanuel Wilson. Is Darian Price going to the IR? Emmanuel Wilson, we've seen him get twenty plus carries for the Packers last year. Now he's only $4,700 as a big home favorite against this Chargers team about to go. Oh, and for $4,700 bucks, $5,600 bucks over on FanDuel. I love me some Emmanuel Wilson. Talk to me about him. Like, don't love it.
I mean, I just don't think he's all that good, but he's cheap, going to get the majority of the carries in a decent enough spot. So, like, I don't think he's a bad play. I just don't feel great about it. A couple more, then we'll move over to receivers. Saquon Barkley, you haven't mentioned him. I love. Saquon Barkley, I mean, I guess Lane Johnson going to make me not love him a little bit, but I think he's a phenomenal pivot.
In this game, he's going to catch passes today. The Rams have two really good cornerbacks, so he's going to have to catch passes. He's going to touch at twenty plus yards. Jalen Hurts is exactly who he thought he was. Turn around, give the ball to Mr. Mr. Barkley, number twenty six. Let him run wild. I think he has a big day today at $8,000 and sixty hundred bucks. So give me some Barkley. Don't sound like you have much of him.
And then my favorite running back on the entire slate, Matt. All right. You ready for this one? You're not going to you're not going to be ready for this. You ready? I'm ready. Down in South Florida, in Tampa against the worst defense known to man at $6,000, Bucky Irving. Their offensive line, Matt, one of the best in the NFL. This Packers defensive line with no Micah Parsons. Edger and Cooper had a concussion last week. He is going to play today.
But, man, give me some Bucky Irvin. He's out snapping your boy, whatever that dude is you talked about on week one. He's been crushing him. Give me some Bucky Irvin at $6,000 and $7,400. I love Bucky Irvin today. I think he's on the top at the end of the day. Talk to me about Bucky. I like Bucky here. That's it. Man, you play Bucky here over Aaron Jones at the same exact price tag. Oh, smash. Oh, smash. Not even close.
It's a little different on FanDuel. But, yeah, on DK, I wouldn't click Aaron Jones name if I had a chance to click Bucky Aaron. I completely disagree. But, I mean, I like to play in tournaments. Don't get me wrong. All right. So, hey, they had a bet. Tampa stinks, too. Tampa is awful. Like, they can't – Their offense stinks. They weren't good with Baker. I doubt they're going to be good with Jalen Johnson, even though I like him a little bit. Their weapons are okay enough.
Bucky doesn't even play a hundred percent. I mean, there's reasons to like him in tournaments, but let's not go overboard. Okay. All right. So they made a bet on the show this morning. Let's make a bet. I'll take Bucky straight up versus Aaron Jones senior. Yeah. Done. You want to wear a crop top? No. We got to have a bet. We need to make a bet, man. Bucky Irvin is going to pound Aaron Jones Sr. Today. Think of a bet. Think of a bet.
I will. Huh? I'll think of something. All right, think of something. Let me see how many points I'm even giving up, but I'm going to take it. Washington just scored a real long touchdown. I don't know how, but Washington, like a ninety-yarder. Hold on. Here it goes. Traylon Burks, please. No, it's Antonio Williams. There is a flag on the play, though. Antonio Williams to the crib. Bucky's at twelve eighty seven versus Jones. I'm giving you six points. I don't care, man.
Oh, that's the that's the pivot of the. Oh, you're right. It was called back. Oh, wow. Callback. Sorry. Yeah. I mean, give me Aaron Jones there like. Matt, I'm telling you, Bucky is outscoring Aaron Jones Sr. I have a ton of Aaron Jones, and I like him, but I like Bucky Irvin that much more. Bucky's in a smash spot. He's going to get the ball twenty times, and he's going to run for about a buck thirty and three. Give me some Bucky.
I mean, I like Tampa in this spot. You got me thinking. I'm not going to lie. Give me Aaron Jones, but man. I like that play. I mean, I don't know about one-thirty and three, but Bucky Irvin, man, he's – Now you're backing off on one-thirty and three. One-thirty – like one-fifty and two then. That offensive line for the Tampa Bay Bucs, they're going to be pushing those Packers back. Lucas Van Ness, he's been injured. Like, I need to see if he's in.
Like I said, Cooper coming back from a thing. B. John Robinson. Now, Bucky's not B. John. Don't get it wrong. But he's better than Brian Robinson Jr.. And Brian Robinson Jr. looked like B. John Robinson nine days ago. So – I love me some Bucky Irvin today. That's my stance. I'm playing one-fifty on FanDuel as well, and I got about thirty-five percent Bucky, which is about a million percent over what everybody else has. All right, let's move over to wide receivers. Watch this quarterback get killed.
No. All right. Moving over to wide receivers, going to sort by DK projection. I mean, what else can you say about JSN? Schefter tweeted out this morning that if he catches another hundred yards and a touchdown, it'll be the first time since Randy Moss in $2,000 seven to have four straight games to open the season with a touchdown in a hundred yards. I mean, there's not enough superlatives to say about him. You can play him with Darnold. You can play him without Darnold.
It don't matter. You can play him with freaking Cooper Cup back there at quarterback. I don't care. But JSN is the man. He's probably my top receiver on the board. You get Puka back in the fall today. Ja'Marr Chase, you're the Ja'Marr Chase whisperer. Not going to get played that much. He'll be about around fifteen percent on. Those are kind of my top tier guys. Anybody else up in the top tier that you want to discuss?
No, I mean, at this point, it's hard not to say that Jason is the top guy in any given slate like. He's just him. I mean, he is. He's expensive, but. Does it even matter when he does what he does? So play JSN if you got the funds. I don't think you have to like, you know, build around him in every lineup, but he's amazing. I love Chase here. Where do you think he comes in today? Sorry, OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. Where do you think JSN comes in like in a big tournament? Probably like twenty five percent owned. Like, oh, wow. That's not. Yeah. Twenty ish. I just feel like after last week, people are. I'm not going to let him fall through the cracks again. What's that, a couple weeks in a row now? So, yeah. We got him at – we got him at thirteen percent. I think he's going to be higher than that personally.
I think he's going to be closer to twenty at least. But, I mean, who knows? Maybe, you know, our projections are right. It's just so expensive. And, like, people don't think he's going to go ham for four straight weeks. But I get your point. I get your point. Yeah. I mean, maybe I'm a little bit high. We'll see. I like Chase here. You know, pass funnel for Jacksonville. It's Chase at home in a high total. Great quarterback. Like, whenever Burrow healthy.
This spot where Chase, I think he had fourteen catches last year with Jake Browning. So, I mean, no guarantee. Was that the game where he played the Jags? Yeah. No guarantee. He had fourteen. I think he had fourteen, maybe twelve. I can't remember exactly. Yeah, but he had a bunch in one of those games. I remember he's a monster. I mean, I love Chase. Somebody in the chat. Yeah. What's not to like about Chase? He's also expensive, so you don't have to play him.
But yeah, I mean, of the expensive guys, I think those two like. Really stand out. Do you see it differently or the same or what? I mean, yeah, it's tough to poke holes in either one of them. I mean, you know, I'm gunshot after last week, right? And I had probably next to no Brock Bowers, right?
And so, like, we're getting Pook and Nacua at $7,500 bucks, which is probably the cheapest we're going to get them all year in a matchup that. I mean, the kid's just a beast, right? And you're getting them before we see it. Right. And so next week, you may be $8,500. So does remind me a little bit of Bowers from last week who I was all over. I mean, him and Nico Collins, I'll just throw those two in there.
Like, let's get on Nico and Puka early, and they're going to be the cheapest that they're ever going to be, relatively LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗. You know, they came out this morning and said that he's not on a pitch count, so he's going to get his full allotment of, you know, what, eighty, eighty-five percent snaps that he always gets. And he can break the slate like nobody else. You know what I mean? So, yeah. I like Puka. I like Nico is up there. Parker Washington and T Higgins.
Talk to me about that. I mean, they're going to be, they're going to be, we got them at what? Uh, twenty two and fifteen percent. I think they're higher personally. But, um, how do you feel about Parker Washington? I like him a lot here. He's not someone I've like played every week, but I think he's way too cheap. I like this game environment and he's got a lot of meat on the bone still at this price tag.
He was really good run after the catch last year and hasn't even done that this year. Jacksonville hasn't been pushed in a couple of their spots against Cleveland week one. And... Against New England last week. Yeah. So, and they were in Denver the week before and I know they move him around, but like, I don't love wide receiver ones against Denver ever. Again, they moved him around and he was pretty good. I know he fell at the one cost title. Yeah.
He had ninety, ninety, ninety eight yards. I think felt. Yeah. Like you said, I think it was the two. So one or two, if he gets those two extra yards in that tutty. Yeah. Our boy titles, $300,000 richer. And yeah, I mean, I loved him that week, too. And you're right. Parker's a stud.
Yeah so I'm in on him at $6,500 he's going to be owned but I'm more about playing the best plays and then like getting different elsewhere so like I like Braylon Allen a lot who we talked about he's going to be really LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ if he had a game like I think I think yeah I mean look at the running back plays people want to Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ there you know people want to click on Aaron Jones senior not Bucky Irvin and Braylon Allen Yeah, I mean, people want to click on McCaffrey and Chase Brown and Derrick Henry, you know, Kenneth Walker.
Makes sense, right? Jeremiah Love, who I mentioned earlier, is going to be really popular. There's a lot of good running back plays, man. Yeah, there's a lot of really good running back plays. I'll agree with you there. Let's talk next here, which I'm going to list. Garrett Wilson, beast. Zay Flowers coming off a hamstring. Should be ramped up a little more. Nico Collins coming back. And let me throw C.D. Lamb in that group.
He's a little bit more expensive than that group, but he's a beast. He's not going to be owned at all. I love C.D. Lamb, especially in a Nico Collins, C.J. Stroud, you know, game. But talk to me about those four. Garrett Wilson, Flowers, Nico, and C.D. I love Nico, like you, Ted, with the same point as Puka. Probably the cheapest he'll be all year, presuming he's healthy and you're taking a risk.
But that's why a lot of the field won't want to play him. So I love that. CD, I mean, he's elite. Like, I don't love the spot, but maybe I should like it more than I do because this game could have good flow. And Lamb is just an elite wide receiver, so always in play. Who are the other two? Garrett Wilson. And Zay Flowers. Yeah, two other guys. I mean, hard not to like either of those guys.
Zay Flowers, when he's been healthy, he's looked like the best wideout in football. So you talk about not loving Derrick Henry. Well, that looks like a really interesting pivot to Flowers. And then Garrett Wilson. Yeah, I mean, I like Braylon Allen a lot, but I also like Garrett Wilson. I expect him to get peppered with no breeze. And Gino's been... Good, good enough. And the Bears aren't a defense I'm scared of at all. So, yeah, I mean, I like all those guys.
Well, yeah, I love Garrett Wilson. I mean, if I'm a quarterback and I'm taking a three, five, or seven-step drop and I look out there and I see Garrett Wilson on one side, Isaiah Williams, whoever that is, Kenyon Sadiq, I mean, he's a freak, but whatever scrub they have on the other side, What's up? What's that kid's name? Sterling Shepherd. Like I'm throwing it to seventeen. I think that's his number. I'm throwing it to Garrett Wilson. So Garrett Wilson got pepper last week.
Bad, bad secondary last week. Bad secondary this week. The only difference, though, like if you have interest in the Jets D this week, like it may not shoot out like like like it did last week. Ben Johnson wants to score thirty five every game. So I think I think there's there's more points there. So give me some Garrett Wilson. Let's talk about any other receivers I see down here. Jordan Addison is going to come with some OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. What about Jordan Addison?
Yeah, I mean, I like Addison a lot. I like this whole offense. I think this is the week for the Vikings. I think they're just put – I just don't think the Dolphins are going to be able to do much offensively, and they're going to run a lot. So I don't love the Vikings D as much as some people, but I love all the beasts of the offense because I think they – score a bunch.
And I think they want to put it on the Dolphins here. So yep. Addison Jones, Kyler Hawkins, the quartet with Jennings. I mean, I guess Jennings, but he's looked pretty assy. No, yeah. Third and Juwan's no good. All right, I'm going to give you another set. Waddle, Christian Watson, Rashi Rice, and Matthews Golden. Obviously, Golden and Watson getting forty percent of the Target ShareTarget share is the percentage of a team's targets (passes thrown toward an intended receiver) that go to one player. A receiver who sees 8 of his team's 32 targets has a 25 percent target share.Judge target share over the last three or four games, not the full season, especially after a trade, an injury or a quarterback change. The most recent role is the one you are paying for.Full explanation ↗. They have no run game to speak of. Jalen Waddle, super cheap, $6,200 bucks. He's $6,600 on the FanDuel.
Super cheap as well. So I love I love Waddle. I love Christian Watson. I'm on team hoop. I just want it to be known I'm on team hoop. I got Rashi Rice over Parker Washington. Rashi Rice, he's going to catch ten passes. He's going to get about ninety yards and he's going to score a touchdown. So they're going to throw him short, low A dot passes. He's going to catch it and run with it. But I love me some Rashi Rice today.
I'm not really on these Packers wideouts outside of Christian Watson, but talk to me. Yeah, so I'm also going to say Rice. I like the best. But, man, this might be the last week I'm going to do so. Can you look at some of the wide receiver metric charts? They don't look great for Rashee Rice. I'm still a believer. I love him. I love his talent. He's been a stud since he was in college at SMU, I believe, right? Yeah, SMU, yep.
Yeah, so huge Rashee Rice fan. So I'm going to say him. But, man – And I like that game for potential points and a Game StackIn the NFL, a game stack usually combines a quarterback, one or two of his pass catchers and one or more players from the opposing offense.Target games where the spread is close as well as the total high. A high total with a lopsided spread can turn into a blowout where only one side keeps scoring.Full explanation ↗ in tournaments. But I do think that his floor is low also. Like, I got to concede that at this point. Worthy is more involved now than I thought he would be. Kelsey has found a Fountain of youth. And Kenneth Walker is obviously, like, their main vocal point now. So... Daniel Jones has scored a rushing touchdown. She's so slow, man.
That Achilles. Yeah, he did. He looks just so he's funny out there. Yeah. I think Watson is like a nice call for a deep ball. I mean, always in play for that. I'm a huge Golden fan in general. Don't like love anything specific about him today. And then the fourth one was remind me. Waddle. Waddle. Yeah, I like Waddle.
I mean, that game, aside of McCaffrey, outside of McCaffrey, I should say, like, there's no one that's a priority for me, but that game environment should be really good. And probably under-owned. And under-owned. Denver's not going to get played here, I don't think. No Langley's talking about Pickens. I don't have much Pickens, but Pickens is a freak. Like he could, he could be, he could be the lamb, but I'm taking lamb over Pickens. What about you? You like, you got any Pickens?
The thing about Pickens is he's really cheap today. So I don't like love him, but at $6,300, you're not really going to get him at a cheaper tag. So he kind of falls in line with some other guys we've talked about just to a cheaper point. Yeah. A couple other names I want to talk on real quick and then we'll move on. Michael Wilson off seventeen targets last week, I believe it was. I mean, he clearly they're Definitely their wide receiver one.
He may be their number one option overall, but any love for Michael Wilson as a pivot, basically the same price as Jeremiah Love, close to it. Michael Wilson today versus this Giants team without Brian Burns. Yeah, sure. Why not? I mean, the passing game we talked about with Brissett, if I'm not playing Love and you want to play Brissett, I think Wilson and obviously McBride are the two guys you want to pair with him.
It's no longer even a thought to consider Harrison outside of like the third piece. I just got a note that Brock Bowers has an illness. If someone in the chat could check on that. He's still going to play as of right now, but that's obviously some big news. We obviously got some time because they're the late window, but Brock Bowers, let's touch on anything else. Malik Nabers. No, for me, Luther Burden. I love the price.
Like I said, they get week, week three prices. You're you're out on Burden. It sounds like no Mike Evans for me, your boy, Romeo dubs and Matt Collins. Love, love them. When you're pairing him with a Drake, may he, a Mecca Abuka over on FanDuel more than DraftKings at the same price. $5,900. Matt, I love a Mecca Abuka today. Like you said, he's got talent. I mean, he's got Ohio State talent playing against this Packers team. Give me some Mecca Abuka.
I don't know if you have any interest in any Mecca. Tough for me to get there, honestly, like more. I said that they've got weapons. I meant it is like at least he's got guys to throw to as opposed to me wanting to actually play them in DFS. But He's so cheap, Jalen Johnson. And like Ibuka is so cheap too. And it wouldn't be the first time a backup has come in and like has good rapport with the guys, at least for one game.
We see that often in the NFL. So I don't hate it. He would be the guy for me for sure. I mean, you play Jalen Johnson, Ibuka, and Bucky. I mean, no one's playing those guys. Yeah, just play Bucky and then fill out the other spots on your thing and your Golden Gate Bridge right there. I got the Eagles wide receivers pulled up. No Dallas Goedert. No Davante Adams Smith. No A.J. Brown.
So you're left with Dontavian, Dust, Wicks, and Makai Lemon, the rookie that hasn't done much. Fourty-three hundred and $4,100 going against arguably A.J. Brown's in New England, by the way, and he's on the IR. But you got one of the best secondaries going against Wicks and Lemon. Any love for either one of these two fellas? I like them. I don't love them, though, especially – Wicks is going to be owned. I mean, he looks good. He's looked good all year.
I just don't trust this Philly offense. How can you? A spot, I think the Rams, like, you know, they're one and two. So this is not a must win for them, but I don't see them going one and three. I don't know. I think this game is a little bit uglier than the field does. So I'm not playing a ton from it. I certainly like the Rams side a lot more. You're saying it's a flu game.
It's not a reputable source, but it's everywhere. So, yeah, something to keep an eye on. Might get a Jordan flu game with Pippen holding him up. We'll have Kirk Cousins will be carrying him back to the sideline after his third TD, Matt, in that flu game. So, obviously, something to pay big attention to. Let's get back on every team. There's got to be some other bad receivers that I'm going to try to talk you on to.
You mentioned meat on the bone earlier, and I'm going to give you a gross one, and I found him. Your boy, actually. You got to love this, Matt. This is tailor-made for you. What if I gave you a receiver that ran ninety-two percent of the snaps last week, got ten targets last week, and was a double-digit underdog, and was the number four overall pick for a team? Would you be interested in a receiver that That was $4,800. That's running every route.
I like this guy a lot. Yeah. I like Carnell Tate this week. Yeah. I mean, I think this is a game that I don't love it for DFS, but I don't hate it either. Like I think Tennessee Cam Ward back against the wall. I mean, Carnell Tate was open a lot last week. Carnell Tate was so much beat on the bone. He was wide open in the end zone. He got missed. I agree. We're in a nor'easter. He's the number four pick.
He's running every route. Once again, are you going to throw to Elick, Isle Manor, some midget out there named Wanderlei Robinson, or the number four overall pick, or some guy named Gunnar Helm? I'm throwing it to Carnell Tate. So give me some Carnell Tate. You can pair him with Zay. You can pair him with the big dog, and we're riding, baby. Let's go. I mean, he needs to get, what, fifteen? He can get fifteen, right? Eighteen? I agree.
I mean, I think there's games where he scores twice here. I mean, I do. Ooh, baby dog, don't tell me that. Don't tell me he can score twice. He's good, man. I mean, he was open last... I mean, the problems can't ward, you know? Yeah. That's... This is... This is, though, this is peak Titans. If there's any Titans, suffering Titans fans out there like myself, this is where their backs up against the wall.
There's no chance that they could win this game. No chance. And so what do they do? They play the best they've ever played, and they somehow keep it close. They're a forty percent survivor. I got twenty-five million right over there. And it's the NFL. You know the margins are thin, like always. Margins are thin. Good teams and the bad teams are closer than a lot of people think. It just – So, yes, I'm with you.
It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Titans really hang in this game. I don't think they win it, but Cam Ward hasn't shown me enough to show me that he's capable of winning a game like this, you know, because I presume it's going to be close towards the end. Yeah. All right, good stuff. I got nothing else on receiver. I mean, there's some other ones that I like, but not going to get into it. Anybody else that you want to talk about?
Not really. I mean, obviously a lot of guys are in play when we talk about Game StackIn the NFL, a game stack usually combines a quarterback, one or two of his pass catchers and one or more players from the opposing offense.Target games where the spread is close as well as the total high. You're always in here supporting us. Appreciate you tuning in. We've got tight end and defense, so we're going to get on out of here and go build the rest of our team. So, tight end, Matt. Talk to me. You've got Brock. Maybe on the injury report, maybe not. The biggest thing I want to talk about Brock and Trey McBride is the kind of flip-flop. Brock Bowers, most expensive on DK. Trey McBride, number two. Then if you go to FanDuel, it's Trey McBride, one.
Brock Bowers, two. I have Brock Bowers clearly number one on both sites, DraftKings and FanDuel. I think Brock's the best. How you got them ranked, Brock and Trey? Yeah, I think Brock is the number one guy. I mean, I think he's a top five matchup nightmare in the NFL right now, if not high and not five. So Bowers is number one, but I like McBride also because I think that McBride is going to fall lower owned than Bowers.
And he's also an interesting pivot off of Jeremiah Love. So I think they both are really good. I prefer Bowers, but if you can't get to him or want to play a little lower owned McBride, they both look great. Yeah, I got Bowers. Travis Kelley, you said a Fountain of youth, $5,000 $5,500 on FanDuel. It's a great price for him over there. I mean, obviously I love George Kittle, but I'm a little lower on him on FanDuel.
But on DraftKings, he's only $5,100. I'd certainly like like that cost. How do you have Kelley versus Kittle in this matchup at $5,000 versus $5,100?
Feel like it's strictly a game environment thing for me like as a One-OffIn NFL DFS, a one-off is a player you select outside your stacks, commonly a running back or a receiver without his quarterback. An opposing receiver intentionally paired with your stack instead serves as a bring-back.Before adding a one-off, compare him with an affordable teammate of your existing stack. Decide whether his individual upside is worth passing up that extra scoring connection.Full explanation ↗ I think it's hard you can make a case for either one probably Kittle I guess it's just a one-off but close enough where I like the Raiders Chiefs game maybe I lean Kelley I think they're both good plays you know in a vacuum I guess Kittle but really close and then let's talk about the conundrum that's known as TJ Hawkins dirt cheap. By the way, we're getting hours.
Okay. Yeah. All right. So the conundrum of TJ Hawkins, $3,300 bucks over on over on DraftKings, $4,900 over on FanDuel hasn't had more than four catches in a game this season, hasn't had more than thirty seven yards in a game this season. He played a lot more snaps when JJ went out or snaps and routes last week. So that that's going to go up to me. He's wide receiver too.
How much does he have left in the tank? Or do you have any interest in TJ Hawkins at $3,300 bucks? Yeah, he's the fourth Person of the quartet. Like it's Addison, Jones, Hawkins and Kyler. I mean. Just too cheap for Jefferson to be out in a really good matchup. Like this isn't an offense I'm going to ride for weeks and they're going to get more pricey. But this week in this spot, I like them a lot. Maybe I'm wrong here.
Maybe Miami just shuts them down. You know, it's the NFL. Minnesota hasn't looked good, but I think this is a really good spot. So I'm in on Hawkins. I like how you referred to him as the wide receiver too here. Yeah, I got a bunch of Hockenson as well. He makes a lot of things work. Two other tight ends that I definitely want to touch on. Interested to get your take. Isaiah Likely. I love Isaiah Likely this week. $4,500 bucks on DraftKings.
Better player on Fando at $5,100 bucks. Love that. Really like Isaiah Likely, especially if you have a Wilson or a love team. And then Brenton Strange. He was getting a lot of talk earlier in the week at $3,200 on Jackings. That's dirt cheap. You want to talk about guys that give it up or teams that give it up to tight ends.
It is the Bengals and $3,200 in a game that's going to be super popular. And at ten OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. That's going to be ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ and Cincinnati's bad against tight end. That's a really good combo, right? So I'm with that call. I like it a lot.
I'm playing Parker Washington, but maybe he steals a touchdown away. You never know. So I like that call and Likely seems like a solid play to much better weather this week than last week for the Giants. He's James his favorite target right now. So I'm with that call. Uh, I don't like them as much as Hockenson at his tag, but Hockenson is going to be higher owned and it's not like he's some amazing play either. So I get it. Yeah.
And I like, like Likely due to matchup and his price, he's $5,100 more on FanDuel, like I said, but he was running. I think he ran around on eighty plus plays last week and played the most. And if we can somehow get them in a trailing Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Full explanation ↗, I really like Likely. Like I said, Nabers is only playing about sixty, seventy percent of the snaps and Odell Beckham will not be suiting up today. He's somewhere on a boat, not dressed out.
So luckily they cut him, and they're going to give his three routes to somebody else this week. Then ODB, what a career it was. Any other tight ends? Colston Loveland. We're going to have a Colston Loveland coming out game at some point. It may be today. Any love in Colston Loveland? I heard some A.J. Barnard chat on the show this morning. I don't love that, but I don't really see any other tight ends.
Let's talk about Tyler Higbee at $3,100 bucks. I need to check the inactives. I'm assuming if Parkinson is out, do you have any interest in Colby Higbee at $3,100? Looked really good last week. Yeah, Higbee looked good and you get that pivot off of Hawkins. So it makes sense. You know, the LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ play there. I like Hawkins more in a vacuum, but I get playing Higbee over him in any given lineup. Is Parkinson out? I'm checking right now.
Yeah, he's out. I'm pretty sure he's been out, hasn't he? No, he got hurt. Ferguson got put on IR. Oh, wow, Christian Benford's out for the Bills. That's big, Matt. Parkinson is out. Parkinson is out? Yeah. Ooh, Matt, Matt, Matt. Brian Cook and Tyler Duggar and BJ Hill are out for the Bengals. Like, it is wheels up for this Jaguars offense. Give me that passing game. Wow. We already like them. You know, Parker Washington talked about Strange just now.
I think Jacobs Myers has a role on this slate. Certainly. Lots of like that. No, it's Lawrence, Strange, Washington. And then who are we bringing it back with? Are we bringing it back with Chase or Higgins? Either or, depending on your lineup. No, you got to pick one. Well, give me Chase if I have to pick one. I mean, that's easy. Oh, man. Who else is out? Aziz Al-Shahir. He's out. That's big. Give me some Javonte. Looking to see who else is out.
Aaron Donald. Parkinson is out. Jalen Watson is out. Wow. Yeah, we didn't talk about Christian Gonzalez being out in Christian Barrymore, so I think that's big news as well. I'm just going through this as we're talking. All right. Yeah, I'm going to have to build me a Jaguars stack now. I think the Jaguars win that game comfortably. All right, let's move over to DST. I'm going to let you go first because I know you got one that you really like. But talk to me about these defenses first.
Yeah, I like the Jets here. I just think they're crazy cheap at $2,400 against the quarterback that he might not be awful, but he might not be good. And they're going to throw a lot. We know that that's what I want for a defense. Even if they score points, you know, give me sacks opportunity for touchdowns. I like the Jets quite a bit here. They're my favorite D on the slate. Wow. You like them better than the Vikings?
I mean, they're not going to know, not from like a projection standpoint, but the Vikings are $4,000. And I do think that the Vikings, like the Dolphins, are going to run a lot. I just think that they're going to run with Willis and be conservative. And I don't love Ds there. Now that when they get down, they're going to be passing more, and I'm sure Flores is going to want to give it to them. So I do like Minnesota.
Oh, he's going to bring the action too, man. Yeah. I do like Minnesota. But the Jets are dirt cheap. So those are my two favorite Ds on the slate. Yeah, I like this. The Packers, man, they're popping up here. Like, I don't like the Packers because I think their defense is terrible. They look good. I like the Raiders. You talked about the Jets at $2,400. This Raiders team, like what if they're actually good?
Mad Max coming off the end like they're dirty. Even if they are good, it's such a it's a bad matchup, though. I mean, why? Because my home's like he's been amazing. Like, why would you want to go use a defense against my home? And you've got quarterbacks like that are so much worse to go after outside of just OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. Unfortunately, I was on my couch, Matt, probably two or three Christmases ago when Mahomes played a terrible Oakland Raiders team. They had a pick six.
I remember that. And they did all sorts of things. And I'm over here fuming on Christmas. That was like on a one-game slate, though. Well, my point is, like, it was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. It was Christmas morning, and I'm over here betting my life savings on Patrick Mahomes to beat the Raiders who had packed up for the season. So I have that etched in my memory. But I get your point. Like, why are we picking on Patrick Mahomes?
It's like, why would you pick on Tom Brady back then? I totally get it. It was just more of a, Hey, let's do it. If we're doing it type thing. Any other defenses? We like the Buccaneers a lot over at Ship It Nation. Like they, they look very good for us. I love them. If the Packers are going to get love. Yeah.
I don't think the Packers, I mean the Packers like Jordan loves not getting love, but those receivers might not think that's it. Well, no, the Packers defense, you said was getting ownership. So, well, not just that they project well, OK, well, I assume that there let's see where some other places have. Yeah, I mean, I think they probably will be popular. They're cheap and facing a potentially, you know, backup quarterback that no one knows.
I got Daniels Jones under nine and a half rushing yards. Let's see how he's doing. He's at five. All right. Got something to spare. All right, Matt. That's going to do it for us. We got the inactives out. Great show again. Thanks for everybody tuning in. Hit that like. Hit that subscribe button. All right, Matt. We do it each and every week.
Give me the one guy when the smoke settles and the dust clears and it's seven thirty in Cleveland and Matt celebrating his big win. Who's the one player that's going to be on his team tonight? Oh, that's an easy call. All right. Easy. Easy money. Braylon Allen. Braylon Allen. I love it. All right.
Well, two weeks ago, we weren't here last week, but two weeks ago, Matt, I gave you the second mortgage game of the year in the Bengals team total under twenty one and a half and it smashed it. They only scored twenty. Never in doubt. Today is a new day in my second ever second mortgage game of the year is on what? Bucky Irving, rushing TD, TD whatever, plus one-seventy, take it to the bank. Oh, what's our bet, by the way? I'm giving you six points, Matt.
I'm giving you six points. I'm taking Bucky and giving you Mr. Senior Citizen Aaron Jones. So who you got? What's the bet for next week? I don't know. We'll have to think of something. I couldn't think of it. I mean, we were doing a show. I couldn't think of it. You've got to wear a crop top. Let's just keep the tradition. I don't like wearing stuff on shows. It's not the type of bed I want to make, so no. It'll just be a friendly wager.
How about that? Just a friendly wager. We'll bet a Jersey Mike sub. All right, how about that? Something like that. That'll do it for us. I got to bet Bucky. We got thirty minutes. Bucky Irvin rushing touchdown or touchdown plus any time touchdown plus one seventy. Man, I can't wait to just free money. Title talks about a free money Sunday. That'll do it for Matt and I.
Make sure you tune in tonight when Nate and I break down the Sunday night show and sweat my million dollar win with Bucky Irvin. Everybody's cutting up. Appreciate you tuning in. Good luck today in your contest. We'll see you at the top of leaderboards. Just shipping.
