The Short Version

Zach Trivett breaks down a wide-open Week 4 cash slate, with quarterback and tight end spending shaping the rest of the build. Dontayvion Wicks ($4,300) is a likely DraftKings core play with DeVonta Smith out. Three running backs are the initial plan on both sites, with Christian McCaffrey a preferred option rather than a lock. Braelon Allen's value depends on Breece Hall sitting, while several other backs are considered mispriced.

On FanDuel, Zay Flowers ($7,300) and Parker Washington ($7,100) are the preferred receiver combination at their prices. Josh Allen is easier to justify there than on DraftKings, where cheaper quarterbacks lead the initial pool. Paying for Brock Bowers or Trey McBride remains viable, but changes what fits elsewhere. Cheaper defenses are preferred: Rams or Cardinals on DraftKings, Bears or Buccaneers on FanDuel. Injury updates could still change these Friday plans.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
PAY UP Preferred among the expensive DraftKings backs for his price and full-PPR scoring paths, but paying for quarterback or tight end could require passing on him. 3:59
His strong role makes paying $500 more than McCaffrey on DraftKings defensible, and he is a favorite FanDuel spend alongside McCaffrey, though fitting both is unlikely. 3:59
VALUE At $5,200 on DraftKings, becomes a strong value if Breece Hall misses as expected; also belongs in the FanDuel pool at $5,700. 4:35
VALUE Has strongly taken over from Tyler Allgeier and is considered mispriced at $5,800 on DraftKings, with a $6,600 FanDuel salary also appealing. 4:35
CORE Likely to become a DraftKings core play at $4,300 with DeVonta Smith out; also considered a FanDuel punt at $5,900. 5:47
VALUE Still too cheap at $6,500 on DraftKings in the best game environment and a preferred FanDuel receiver at $7,100. 5:47
VALUE His role keeps $6,900 on DraftKings too cheap, and the desired FanDuel receiver combination includes him at $7,300 alongside Parker Washington. 6:30
Considered a thin option while reviewing cheaper DraftKings tight ends. 7:22
Vikings CHALK Show the highest DraftKings defense ownership, although paying $4,000 there or $5,000 on FanDuel is not the preferred approach. 7:43
Rams An initial DraftKings defense preference against a struggling Philadelphia offense without DeVonta Smith, with less appeal at the higher FanDuel price. 8:05
Cardinals An intriguing DraftKings defense at $2,500 against Jameis Winston and one of the two initial preferences. 8:05
PAY UP Spending $9,100 on FanDuel is viable for his upside, while the initial DraftKings approach favors quarterbacks around $5,000. 8:55
UNDERWEIGHT Not expected to make the FanDuel cash build because the receiver options around $7,000 are so appealing. 10:33
The $7,400 FanDuel price against Dallas becomes appealing if he plays and reports indicate no limitations. 10:33
UNDERWEIGHT Acceptable as a DraftKings spend without being necessary, but not expected to fit the FanDuel cash approach given the appealing cheaper receivers. 10:57
Still looks cheap on FanDuel, but there is uncertainty about using him this week. 10:57
PAY UP A viable premium tight end after a strong debut, with a preference for using him on FanDuel when spending at the position on both sites. 11:24
PAY UP A viable premium tight end, with DraftKings the preferred side of a two-site split using Bowers on FanDuel. 11:24
UNDERWEIGHT Viable at $5,100 on DraftKings, but on FanDuel the preference is to find another $500 for Bowers rather than use Kittle. 11:54
Buccaneers An initial FanDuel defense preference at $200 above minimum salary against Green Bay's struggling offensive line. 12:25
Bears Appealing at home against the Jets for $300 more than Tampa Bay and one of the initial FanDuel defense preferences. 12:25

We'll be breaking down DraftKings and FanDuel position-by-position player pool to establish. Again, this is only Friday. Things do change, such as Justin Jefferson is questionable. We've got Brees Hall and Donnie Mitchell we've got to monitor. Probably not going to be in right now, but you never know. Last week, didn't things say Flowers would play? And he did.

So this is just the initial look to build the player pool. Up for cash on DraftKings and FanDuel. You can see so many sports going on right now.

1:27

College football, NBA soon, PGA still going, MLB playoffs, MMA, NASCAR, and NHL is back. So we would love to have you. If you're just playing NFL, I think this is the best deal. I also get you access to to potentially qualify for shipping games. Bottom left, join the nation, though. We have multiple other deals. Five days for nineteen dollars. If you have not tried us, I think it's a great time to do so.

Again, an action packed weekend amongst a lot of different sports. You also get Discord and Sabres in there. You can see starter and ultimate as well. Everything you get in it, including DFS Mastermind, the price only gets better when you go from weekly to monthly, monthly to annual, et cetera. And you can also find single sport NFL packages over here as well. So we'd love to have you at the Nation. Definitely do join the Discord.

2:18

If you do join, and yeah, let's get right into it. Week four, cash games. I do think it is pretty difficult. Probably the most wide open it's been in the first three weeks, which I love to see it. But yeah, we'll go with my initial thoughts right now. Again, I don't think too many locks.

2:34

I think a lot of open positions and what you do at a quarterback or a tight end or something kind of leads you to different Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. But let's get right into the quarterback position. Again, I think it's open. Just sorting by... OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ to start, you can see it is very spread out. Josh Allen comes in at the highest zone. He is in play, but I think he's more in play on FanDuel.

2:56

I think the highest right now I'd go to is probably Trevor Lawrence at $5,900 in the highest total of the week. But if you want me to save a little CJ Strouts in a good matchup against Dallas, Kyler Murray. Only $5,300 against a dreadful Miami team with rushing upside Jacobs Burnett against a Giants team. That's not very good. Drop back close to fifty times. I think all of them. Sam Darnold, you can add in as well.

3:22

Coming off a massive week three off of an injury implied for almost twenty six points. I don't think I'm going to be able to get up all the way to Josh Allen this weekend. So I think I'm living in that $5,000 range. Trevor Lawrence, Kyler, CJ Stroud, Sam Darnold, Jacobs Burnett. Don't think we need a punt all the way down to Jalen Daniels at . To the running back room. It's definitely solid, and I think the pool is a little more condensed.

3:49

We do not have, just sorting by salary, we do not have Jameer Gibbs on the slate. We do not have B. John Robinson, which leads Derek Henry, Kenneth Walker, and C. Mack as the three contenders.

3:59

Highest price just looking at it right here OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ wise McCaffrey the highest owned and I do think he's probably the way to go Kenneth Walker for five hundred more I guess I wouldn't hate you for doing it he has been so good in the roles been phenomenal this year but five hundred left for McCaffrey He's lost some work to black this year, which isn't great, but still phenomenal price tag. So many ways to get there in a full point PPR site.

4:25

After that, we have some mispriced guys, in my opinion. Aaron Jones without Jordan Mason still. Chase Brown in the best game environment. Jeremiah Love, who's taken over.

4:35

For algier really strongly $5,800 cam scatabo $6,100 braylon allen with uh if there is no breeze like I'm expecting $5,200 so I think it's more than Likely and you don't even need a jam McCaffrey like if you wanted a Josh Allen you probably would have to sacrifice McCaffrey but More than Likely, probably playing McCaffrey right now. And then picking two others of Braylon Allen, Love, Chase Brown, Jones.

5:01

But I'm not a hundred percent sure it is, or Scadaboo, like I said, I'm not a hundred percent sure C-Mac is a lock. Like when we get to tight end, I do think Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ is viable this week. So very good options, but I do think the pool is a little more condensed. And I do think as of now, I will be playing three running backs on DraftKings because that low $6,000 $5,000 range is, is filled with mispriced players.

5:24

All right, the receiver position, not much changes from what we've talked about in the past. I think it's pretty wide open. No DeVonta Smith in week four, though, leads Dontavian Wicks, cover boy of this show at only $4,300. Wicks has been very good to start the year so far and now slides right into a wide receiver one roll at $4,300. I think he is very strong.

5:47

I don't know if I want to use the word lock right now, but more than Likely he will be a core play for me. And on the cash report. Another one that looks really strong, Parker Washington, $6,500. I'm just going to keep playing them until he's in that $7,500 range in the best game environment. Garrett Wilson, again, possibly no breeze or Donnie Mitchell. We saw what Garrett did last week.

6:06

$6,800 is still way too cheap for him. Chase, if you want to Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ for him, I'm fine with don't think is a must by any means. But again, the highest total on the slate, Golden $5,400. I like Michael Wilson, a complete monster, still too cheap at $5,500. Have to monitor Justin Jefferson news with his ankle injury. If he misses, Jordan Addison becomes even better. $5,300 would be great. Zay Flowers, $6,900.

6:30

I'm still saying it's too cheap. Anyone that's watched Baltimore so far this year, anytime Zay's on the field, you know where Lamar is going with the ball and he's always open. A couple other prices that stand out. George Pickens, sixty three. T. Higgins, $6,100. Two guys that I think are also too cheap. So wide receiver pool kind of wide like usual. But Wicks, I don't think we need Hollins with the Wicks salary. Parker Washington, Wilson, Chase, Golden, Michael Wilson, Addison, Zay, Pickens, T.

7:01

Right now, that is kind of my player pool for for a wide receiver pool. Excuse me, tight end position. Yeah, I mentioned tight ends tough. So I think let's just sort by OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. You have different pricing gaps or tiers if you want to go. If you want to spend up, which I do think is viable this week, you have Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. What an opening for Brock Bowers in his season debut.

7:22

I do think both of them are in play. If you want to save money from there, I think it's George Kittle in the midrange at $5,100. Then if you want to completely punt. I guess I would say another one. Sadiq at $4,000 phenomenal game last week. Otherwise it's Hawkins, Breton Strange. I don't know. Barner seems a little thin, but I think a tight end is very difficult and kind of like what I'm saying.

7:43

If you're playing Bowers or McBride, maybe you can't play McCaffrey and have to spend down more. If you're playing TJ Hawkins, you probably can easily play McCaffrey or Ja'Marr Chase. So different tiers in terms of pricing for what to do at tight end, big decision this week. Again, I already think you're playing three running backs. For the defense, sorting by value, the Vikings showing the highest OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. 8:05

But, man, they're $4,000, like paying all the way up for defense, very volatile positions, not something I'm always looking to do. So looking at some value, not that. The Rams against Philly, who look terrible, no DeVonta Smith now. That is definitely pretty intriguing. The Cardinals against James, definitely intriguing at $2,500. Yeah, to be honest, it's probably right now one of those two. Anyone cheaper?

8:30

I mean, yeah, if I need to play one of these teams because it makes my whole roster look good, then fine. But ideally Rams or Cardinals more than Likely for defense. Let's head on over to FanDuel. Again, appreciate everyone hanging out. Like button helps us out a ton. Subscribe button as well. Time is valuable. There's no reason to waste your time. Hope people are enjoying these quick shows. All right, quarterback on FanDuel.

8:55

Again, I mentioned previously, I think it's a lot more viable to Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ on FanDuel, like we did last week for Josh Allen, even though he had a floor game. He is by far the most upside every single slate. Again, what you're doing at quarterback is going to determine some other spots, though. Allen, $9,100. After that, I think it is Burrow, $8,200 or Trevor Lawrence at $7,900 in the best game environments.

9:18

Otherwise, you're just going to save Kyler, seventy two, C.J. Stroud, $7,000, both in good matchups. I think all five are viable. And again, what you're doing at quarterback. Will lead to what you're doing at some other positions, and that includes the running back position. Again, FanDuel, you almost always are playing three running backs. I think the two spend-ups, my favorites, McCaffrey and Kenneth Walker, more than Likely you're not able to play both.

9:43

Possible if you're playing the Kyler or the punt quarterbacks, but... McCaffrey, Kenneth Walker look really strong, but so does some of his value. Cam Scadabo, seven, one. Jeremiah Love, six, six. Aaron Jones, six, four. Braylon Allen, five, seven. I think that is where the running back pool ends. Chase Brown feels a little, I mean, he's in play for sure, but $7,600. He feels like a better bargain on DraftKings and fits the scoring better.

10:06

So very similar running back pool for DraftKings and FanDuel. And it's three running backs right now for me on both sites. Receivers, two guys, the highest two values, Zay Flowers, seven, three hundred Parker Washington, $7,100 point per dollar. I mean, sign me up again. I already talked so good or so highly about Zay and Parker. These prices are just too cheap on both sites. I would love to have both of them in my Cash GameA cash game is a contest that pays a large share of the field, usually close to half, the same flat prize. Fifty-fifties, double-ups and head-to-heads are the common cash games.Treat cash games as the steady base of your bankroll. Use one safe core across your cash entries on a slate, and save riskier ideas for tournaments.Full explanation ↗ on FanDuel.

10:33

Garrett Wilson, also a good price at seven, six. Man, if Nico does play. Seven point $4,000 for Nico Collins in a good matchup against Dallas. I would want to hear some good reports that he's not limited in any capacity or anything, but if that's the case, he is very much in play and would make that $7,000 decisions tough was a Parker Nico Garrett Wilson. Don't see myself with how good those options are playing JSN.

10:57

Or Ja'Marr Chase in cash if I need savings. Golden, Michael Wilson, still too cheap. T. Higgins, $6,000 nine hundred, too cheap. If Justin Jefferson out, Jordan Addison, $6,500, a great play. Waddle still looks cheap down here, even though I'm not sure. This is the week I'll go there. And then Octavian Wicks, $5,900. No, DeVonta Smith is also in play as a punt wide receiver. Let's get to tight end. Again, I mentioned that tight end's tough.

11:24

What you do at tight end is going to bleed over to other positions. Brock Baker is cheaper on FanDuel than Trey McBride, whereas it's opposite on DraftKings. You can always play the hedge game if you do want to Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ in both sites at tight end. Play Brock on FanDuel, McBride on DraftKings. Don't mind that one bit. Man, it's not the best matchup against KC, but Brock looks so good. And Kirk Cousins is getting him the ball.

11:48

If you can't fit the two spends, though, I think it's Dalton Kincaid, six-one.

11:54

Yeah I was gonna say maybe Kittle I think he's just too priced too closely to brock where I'm gonna find that five hundred so I think it's probably Kincaid six one at kelsey five five or it's a likelier Andrews I guess hockinson even though I don't love it down here um but yeah you have different tiers so you want to spend up do you want to go mid-tier do you want to go all the way down that's going to be the big decisions this week and again it's Friday I have absolutely no clue what I will be doing Talking defense, again, the Vikings, but they're $5,000 spending all the way up is not something I usually do.

12:25

Tampa Bay grading out well is two hundred off the min price against the Packers who have looked dreadful. I don't hate it one bit. Again, this offensive line is terrible for the pack. Three hundred more. You get the Bears at home against the Jets. That looks pretty appealing.

12:39

As well Rams more expensive on FanDuel than DraftKings so probably to be honest looking like a Chicago or Tampa Bay when it comes to defense for me because there's enough spends at other positions that I'd rather prioritize That's all I got. Again, twelve games on FanDuel, twelve on DraftKings. We do have the early game. Germany, I believe it is this week. Could be mistaken where it's at, but that's nine thirty a.m. Eastern. Bi-weeks are going to start hitting.

13:05

So these twelve gamers are going to start to shrink. But I'm really excited for this week. Week four, I think it is wide open on both sites. Again, all of my core plays will be up on the Slate Station over at Shippenation.com. On DraftKings, on FanDuel, and I will get those up tomorrow for everybody. That's going to do it, everybody. Hope you have a great weekend. Hope you have a little extra cheese in the pocket when it's all said and done.

13:29

Be safe. Enjoy your weekend. I am Titletown. Good luck. Peace.
