The Short Version

Zach Trivett breaks down Week 9 cash builds on DraftKings and FanDuel. Drew Lock at $4,000 opens salary on DraftKings, with a favorable home matchup against Arizona and an implied total near 25. Christian McCaffrey ($8,000) is the running back lock, prioritized over Jahmyr Gibbs because of the $2,000 gap. Spending at running back takes priority over rostering two expensive receivers, with cheap receivers and double tight end builds providing flexibility.

Puka Nacua ($9,200) is a FanDuel priority and the preferred DraftKings receiver spend. Antonio Williams and Adonai Mitchell are among the savings options, while Matthew Golden and Jalen Coker become more appealing on FanDuel. George Kittle ($6,700) and the $3,600 Saints defense are FanDuel locks. Malik Willis or Patrick Mahomes fills quarterback there. DraftKings allows cheaper tight ends, with Saints, Giants or Eagles defense selected according to available salary.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
VALUE The preferred DraftKings quarterback at $4,000 saves salary, with a home matchup against Arizona and an implied team total near 25. 2:18
PAY UP A viable second running back spend alongside McCaffrey, with Lock and potentially two cheap tight ends helping make the DraftKings salary work. 2:54
VALUE A good DraftKings running back option and one of the cheap FanDuel backs available to complete builds around the priority spends. 2:54
VALUE Included among the preferred DraftKings backs and the cheap FanDuel options for builds that cannot fit both expensive running backs. 2:54
VALUE A good running back option on DraftKings and one of the cheap FanDuel backs to consider alongside McCaffrey. 2:54
CORE The DraftKings running back lock at $8,000 gets priority over Gibbs because of the $2,000 gap and is also the likely FanDuel starting point. 3:23
The preference is to find another $500 on DraftKings to reach Nacua. 3:42
An acceptable DraftKings alternative if the $700 savings matters, though Nacua is preferred in what should be a more competitive game. 3:42
VALUE Looks very good at $4,100 on DraftKings and remains among the preferred value receivers on FanDuel. 3:59
VALUE A viable DraftKings punt tight end at $3,100 for builds that need savings. 4:47
VALUE An acceptable DraftKings punt tight end in the $3,000 range. 4:47
VALUE With Ferguson projected out, an 8.36-point projection would put him third in tight end value on DraftKings. 5:13
Probably passed over at roughly $3,600 in favor of saving a few hundred dollars at tight end. 5:13
Giants DST An acceptable DraftKings defense if salary allows, targeting backup quarterback Joe Milton III. 6:07
Eagles DST An acceptable DraftKings defense against the Giants and the cheapest defense under consideration. 6:07
VALUE Preferred over the similarly priced backup quarterbacks on FanDuel at $6,500 because of his rushing upside and safety. 6:31
One of the two FanDuel quarterback choices at $7,900, with an implied team total near 30 at home against an injured Jets team. 6:31
CORE The preferred DraftKings receiver spend and a stronger priority on FanDuel at $9,200, even if that prevents playing both expensive backs. 6:57
VALUE Still too cheap on FanDuel and more appealing there as a receiver savings option. 7:22
CORE A plug-and-play FanDuel tight end at $6,700; also underpriced at $6,000 on DraftKings, where cheaper tight ends can help fit the other priority spends. 8:00
VALUE More appealing on FanDuel as a receiver savings option after prioritizing Nacua. 8:00
Saints DST CORE The FanDuel defense lock at $3,600 gets a home matchup against Shedeur Sanders and is preferred to every cheaper option. 8:27

If you are playing multiple teams, ten plus, twenty plus, an MME player in DFS, I do think having the starter package is a very good piece to start over here at Ship It Nation.

Definitely do get in the Discord if you do join. Going to hop on over to SaberSim, starting on DraftKings at the quarterback position. We're sorting by value, and this is a slate where I think you are spending down. Three backup quarterbacks shifted in to start this Week.

2:18

$4,100 Joe Milton, $4,000 Shadur, $4,000 Drew Lock I do think right now I'm gonna play Drew Lock the reason for that they're applied for almost twenty five points we saw Drew Lock earlier in the year when he had to spell Sam Darnold play pretty solid and he gets the nut matchup apply for twenty five you get the Cardinals you're at home I think right now you are playing Drew Lock and moving on which means we will have money to save at some of the skill position players this is one of the spots I do think we are going to play some uh Some spends, we have Gibbs, $10,000 Christian McCaffrey, $8,000 the $2,000 is a big enough gap where I am prioritizing.

2:54

I think McCaffrey and Cash, you can get Gibbs though. There is two tight end builds. There's seven single Terry. There's Jonah Coleman. It is possible to play McCaffrey and Jameer Gibbs. Part of that again is punting Drew Lock. When we get to receiver, I do think Puka is a very strong play, but especially if you don't play Puka, you can go, McCaffrey and Gibbs. But Singletary good. Jonah Coleman good. Romandre's good. Hope everything with Travion ends up turning well. I think it's just these top five.

3:23

You play two, maybe three of them, and then you move on. McCaffrey is the lock for me right now. I thought I was going to sneeze. Sorry. Let's get to the wide receiver position. I think it's a little tighter than it has been most weeks. It's still open like it is a lot of weeks, but you have Puka as the clear spend. I don't think I would.

3:42

I think I'd prioritize finding five hundred to get to Puka from CD, and I don't see paying two or Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Read the full definition of Spending Up for two wide receivers on this Week. I'd rather do that at running back. So I think Puka. Ideally is going to be on my Cash team. If you can't get him the seven hundred gap to Amin Ra, seven hundred could go long enough away.

3:59

I wouldn't hate it, but I do feel a lot better at Puka and what should be a more competitive Game than Amin Ra. After that, I think you're probably going down and saving. Antonio Williams looks really good at $4,100. Adani Mitchell coming off a massive Game. Concepcion $4,600. Malik Washington $4,700. Efton Chisholm $3,600. Cooper, maybe. $4,900. Yeah. I mean, you can't say anything bad about him with no Garrett Wilson.

4:25

So they will run the football, I assume, with Brees Hall and Braylon Allen both playing this weekend. So I don't love the pass catchers as much. Adani is the number one. Looks good, though. Cooper and Cash would be fine with it, probably going to the Washington, Adani Mitchell, Concepcion, Antonio Williams of the world, though. But ideally, Puka will be on my team. Let's get to the tight end position.

4:47

I think it's either George Kittle at $6,000 and he had two tight ends is viable on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate. If you do want to jam Puka Gibbs and McCaffrey, it is you are able to do so. You're probably not playing Kittle though. You're probably playing. Either double punt tight end or yeah, maybe you have to play double punt tight end. It is pretty tough. The punts though, Dalton Schultz fine, Belichick fine at $3,100. I think we still had.

5:13

OK, Ferguson is projected out to span forward. I might have him projected a little higher than six point seven points. Yeah, we we have a chip it at having for eight point three six. So if you put him our ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Read the full definition of Projections over here, eight point three six sort by tight end, he comes up to number three in terms of value. We'll take the average. So Dulcich and Spanford and Dalton Schultz in the three Ks. I probably won't go Chega three secs.

5:42

I'd probably find the couple hundred for savings. And then Kittle at $6,000. I mean, just price way too cheap. If you look at other wide receivers in the $6,000 range, again, it's a pretty dead zone this Week, but Coker, Jameson Williams, Waddle, Pickens, Rice, I'm taking Kittle over all of them. And you can see that in the projection. Let's go to the defense. FanDuel, we're going to get to defense, and there's pretty much a lock on DraftKings.

6:07

I think it's probably one of these top three, Saints, Giants, Eagles. If you have the money to play Saints against Shadur, it sounds good. If you have money to play the Giants against Joe Milton, I mean, picking on backup quarterbacks can never be bad. Otherwise, the Eagles against the Giants, I'm fine with as well. We'll come down to money. Don't see myself really going any cheaper, though, than the Eagles. All right, let's get to FanDuel.

6:31

Pretty similar SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate for most of the positions, but quarterback is not one of them. Malik Willis all the way down to $6,500 like Shadur $6,200. Drew Locke $6,300. At that point, just give me Malik Willis is rushing upside and the safety for him. Otherwise, I do think Mahomes at $7,900. It's probably one of these two. I mean, you see Mahomes implied for almost thirty points at home. Against the Jets with some injuries.

6:57

So my plan is to play one of Mahomes or Malik Willis, and that is nice that you get the natural hedge from both sides playing two different quarterbacks. Running back, Gibbs and McCaffrey, the two spends. Again, I would love to get both of them. Looking at Puka, I do think he's more of a lock on FanDuel than DraftKings. Probably going to end up with him on both sides, but Puka will be a priority at $9,200. So probably not able to play both.

7:22

Singletary is cheap, though. Ramondre is cheap. Jonah Coleman cheap. Ali Gordon cheap. I think you are playing. At least one, more than Likely you're playing McCaffrey. If you can get Gibbs or Kenneth Walker, fine. Otherwise, two of Ramondre, Singletary, Coleman, Ollie Gordon. Don't see myself plugging any of these other ones in below that. Wide receiver, I think I'm playing Puka, . After that, you probably need to save Matthews Golden, . Coker still stays too cheap on FanDuel, . Tony Williams, . Adani Mitchell, . Cooper, . Concepcion, .

8:00

I think it's pretty similar on DraftKings to FanDuel. Probably Puka. Golden more in play here. Coker more in play. Antonio Williams, Concepcion, Adani, the same old ValueValue is the fantasy production you expect from a player relative to his salary. A value play offers more production or upside than his price suggests, whether he is cheap or expensive.Identify why the salary looks wrong: workload, matchup, scoring ability or a pricing error. Then check whether that reason still holds when you submit your lineup.Read the full definition of Value plays as DraftKings. Tight end, I do think you're just playing George Kittle. There's not a big enough price gap from the other ones like there is on DraftKings to make it a question. FanDuel, $6,700. Plug and play George Kittle and move on. And same for the defense.

8:27

I do not see why you would not just play the Saints. Against Shadur at home, only $3,600, six hundred off the stone. Men cannot find any of these below that even look anything a bit appealing as the Saints. So that's it. I think FanDuel a little easier than DraftKings, mainly due to Kittle and New Orleans Saints being locks at defenses. Similar Player PoolA player pool is the set of players you consider using in your DFS lineups for a slate, the games or events included in a contest.
