The Short Version

Zach Trivett and Scott Gyiraszin break down ten DraftKings games and nine FanDuel games, with Rays vs Yankees excluded on FanDuel. Taj Bradley ($10,000) is the strongest pitching call, followed by Shota Imanaga at $9,000 with wind blowing in at Wrigley. Drew Rasmussen and Max Fried offer pivots. The preferred approach is spending up for two pitchers, using cheap bats to complete builds, and limiting exposure to the weaker options below them.

The Braves stack stands out against Brandon Williamson and the bullpen, while the Angels stack and Athletics are preferred alternatives to Arizona's heavy ownership. Arizona remains a priority, but five-man stacks need differentiation through pitching or hitter selection. Rangers righties offer cheap, low-owned pieces against Sean Manaea. Rockies lefties draw a split response, while White Sox mini-stacks provide another inexpensive route around the popular builds without forcing a full five-man stack.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
FADE Recent pitch counts of sixty-seven and sixty-one make him unappealing. 10:16
FADE Explicitly excluded from the pitching discussion. 10:16
FADE Recent control problems and several weeks of poor performance rule him out. 10:39
FADE The Dodgers matchup keeps him out of the pitching pool. 10:39
SP The strongest pitching endorsement, with recent strikeout form, a dependable workload and a favorable Giants matchup. 11:03
SP The preferred SP2 against Miami, with wind blowing in reducing concerns about his fly-ball tendencies. 11:03
SP Included as a tournament pivot from Bradley and Imanaga, with the division race supporting a longer outing. 12:17
SP A pitching-pool pivot if he can approach ninety pitches, although the strikeout matchup is less appealing. 12:45
SP The hosts were split: one excluded him over home struggles and declining strikeouts, while the other included all five pitchers from Imanaga through Bradley. 14:07
The hosts were split between limited cheap-pitcher consideration and a firm rejection over poor strikeouts, walks and control. 16:23
The hosts were split between considering his $7,200 salary and potential workload and refusing to use a pitcher at Coors Field. 16:23
SP A reluctantly accepted cheaper option for an expanded pitching pool rather than a priority. 16:49
Removed from the displayed pool, though keeping him was acceptable; his projection and expected ownership drew skepticism. 17:26
SP A deep-pool option because of his effectiveness against righties, tempered by Minnesota's projected left-handed bats. 18:19
Rays FADE No interest in bats against Fried in a game carrying a six-run total. 20:40
Yankees FADE No interest in bats against Rasmussen in a game carrying a six-run total. 20:40
Braves TOP STACK One of the favorite stacks, playable one through nine against Williamson and the bullpen, with particular interest in righties. 22:37
Reds LEVERAGE A lower-owned side of a favorable hitting game, with Ritchie attackable from both sides despite a preference for lefties. 22:37
LEVERAGE An alternative to Drake Baldwin within chalky builds because Baldwin could carry roughly three times the ownership. 22:37
ONE-OFF Stands out against Daniel Lynch after hitting lefties well throughout the year. 24:18
Royals IN PLAY Prefer a small stack of Bobby Witt Jr., Maikel Garcia and Salvador Perez because Anthony Kay is tougher on lefties. 24:44
White Sox LEVERAGE Cheap right-handed bats provide a different secondary stack, preferably two or three hitters rather than a full five-man build. 25:07
Marlins FADE Explicitly ruled out against Imanaga regardless of the unfavorable hitting weather. 25:57
Cubs Junk is attackable and stolen bases offer upside, but expensive salaries and strong inward wind leave the stack unlikely to make builds. 28:02
Rangers LEVERAGE A sneaky, inexpensive stack at minimal ownership, targeting Manaea with right-handed bats. 29:19
ONE-OFF Acceptable at $3,600 as a talented shortstop despite the lefty-lefty matchup. 29:19
Mets LEVERAGE Cheap righties can fill difficult positions at low ownership when paying for two expensive pitchers. 30:09
ONE-OFF An excellent option near the top of the order against Manaea after hitting lefties well, with some pinch-hit risk. 31:08
Rockies LEVERAGE The hosts were split: one liked the low-owned side of Coors against Soroka, especially lefties, while the other questioned the prices and matchup. 31:53
ONE-OFF A preferred left-handed Rockies bat for a mini-stack or standalone piece against Soroka. 32:36
ONE-OFF A preferred left-handed Rockies bat for a mini-stack or standalone piece against Soroka. 32:36
ONE-OFF A preferred left-handed Rockies bat for a mini-stack or standalone piece against Soroka. 32:36
Leaving him out was proposed to differentiate Arizona stacks, although his projected ownership was already among the team's lowest. 33:57
Diamondbacks TOP STACK A priority Coors stack with an overweight approach discussed, but heavy ownership requires different pitching combinations or hitter selections. 34:22
Angels TOP STACK One of the favorite stacks at ownership, especially the top-half righties against Basso and the bullpen in a favorable park. 39:06
Athletics TOP STACK One of the favorite stacks at ownership, with right-handed power against Kikuchi and an appealing bullpen matchup; mini-stacks also work. 39:06
Mariners LEVERAGE The hosts were split between a near-unowned stack of hitters one through seven and limiting exposure to individual power bats against Javier. 39:56
Astros FADE Explicitly excluded against Gilbert. 40:24
ONE-OFF A possible individual power bat against Javier's elevated fly-ball and barrel rates to righties. 40:44
ONE-OFF A possible individual power bat against Javier's elevated fly-ball and barrel rates to righties. 40:44
Giants FADE No interest in attacking Bradley. 41:44
Twins Molina's weakness against lefties was acknowledged, but the projected lineup looked too watered down to endorse a stack. 42:11
Padres FADE The expensive bats and strong opposing bullpen keep this game out of preferred builds. 43:24
Dodgers FADE Respect for King and the opposing bullpen outweighs the lineup's usual appeal. 43:24

Systems go. Clear for lift off. What is going on, everybody? Happy Tuesday. G_Rizen and I are back talking some baseball. This is the last week that we will have shows for baseball. This is my last show with G_Rizen of the year. And yeah, G_Rizen, let me know. I mean, a very true, fair point. It's going to be our last show for a while.

0:52

Who knows what baseball has headed in the future for next year with the lockout and everything. So hopefully they can figure it out in the offseason. And get us some baseball because, man, I don't know what I would do with NBA ends, NFL ends, and we have a summer without baseball. That would be not something I want to find out how it would be. But I'm excited for today. We got ten games on DraftKings. We got nine games on FanDuel. FanDuel, for whatever reason.

1:16

Did not include the Tampa Bay and the Yankees game. So, again, we usually talk DraftKings. Pretty similar. DraftKings and FanDuel. But, yeah, that game's not on it. In terms of weather, no weather to really worry about. I see some yellow, some yellow-green. But all these games, yellow means pretty good for me. So we're going to talk like it all plays. We got Michael W., Gang Greene, and Nades in here. Gang Greene has a safety meeting going on. Love to hear that.

1:41

G_Rizen, I know you probably had a couple safety meetings today. But how are you doing today? Man, I had a couple. That's all right. That's for sure. I've been fighting the sinus bug, been kicking my ass up here in the Midwest with all this rain and shit we've had. Mr. Sinus Man's been beating me up a little bit. So kind of was laying low today.

2:00

Just had a kind of relaxing day, which is nice because normally I'm like balls to the wall doing all kinds of crazy shit. All day with the day job. But, yeah, glad to get on here. As you said, this could be one of our last shows, especially with the lockout that's looming. I mean, you know, DFS will still do something. Maybe it'll be KBO or some AAA bullshit or something that they'll put out there just because they know we're D-gens.

2:24

I mean, I'd rather them go the AAA route because then we can kind of get ahead of what's coming up instead of like the KBO. So I was kind of thinking that could end up being the case. You don't know. Who knows? But as I was telling you, Tito, man, I'm glad there ain't a camera in my basement, man, because before I came on the show, I thought, you know, we're getting the last week.

2:44

I'm going to pull out my ship at hockey jersey. You know, it's a good time to get it out. Had it hanging up down here in the basement and I go grab it off the the rack there and I'd be damned there wasn't a spider hanging off the back. And I screamed and was like, ah, if there was a camera down here, I'll be calling me Caleb Williams. But yeah, I mean, you know, pretty, I didn't expect to see that. It was like a penny size one too.

3:11

It was a nice one. They ought to splatter it all over the damn place. But either way, we got some good baseball. I mean, today when I was studying for some baseball, just looking at it, I'm like, man, it's a time of year. You got to pay attention to what teams are still in it, which ones are not, you know, who's going to pull their starters.

3:27

Some of these teams are rolling out Mickey Mouse lineups, you know, to get some guys that, you know, they got sitting on the end of that forty man bench to map bats. You know, I mean, yeah, we got all kinds of stuff we got. We got to get through. But yeah, that difference in the game there, New York and Tampa, that's what second game of a doubleheader. Usually FanDuel don't have doubleheader games on their on their slate.

3:50

But I was watching that one earlier title because Tampa, if they win one of them games, I believe they pretty much have that division lock. So the Yankees can win four games.

3:59

They uh they got a shot down there so kind of watching that thinking you know Max Fried you know how you know how long is he going to go I mean this is almost like a do or die game kind of for the Yankees if they're going after that division even though we know they're going to make the playoffs but still I think they'd want to make uh get some home field advantage So, yeah, that was something to be said.

4:17

Rasmussen, too, would have mattered in that game. Don't know how long, you know, they would have let him go if they would have already clinched it earlier today. So I think that was something that definitely was hovering over the slate a little bit today. But, yeah, good time to – Good time of year. Hey, got to give you a little shout out. Saw you kick some ass last night in some showdown.

4:39

Came up there with, what, seventeen or eighteen of you up at the top there with the Davante Adams captain last night. I mean, shit, you were like one of eight percent that didn't have Dart in their lineup last night in that in that big tournament. He was like thirty percent captain or something, too. I mean, it was pretty high, but. Yeah, congrats to you. Good to see some familiar faces.

5:00

I saw our man Rio up there in the top of a tournament on this week, just one spot shy of the Milly. So congrats to him. But, man, all kinds of winners rolling around here at Ship It, but exciting times. But, man, I'm glad football's back. We're getting to that time where baseball's just – I won't say it's beating me down a little bit, but it's just not as fruitful as it once was with football going on. You know, I kind of play limited.

5:27

I don't play as much as I do during the regular season at this time of year when it starts getting sketchy with the players and all. But, hey, we're still going to play a little bit tonight, have some fun, and maybe we can get some extra shekels for this weekend. Yeah, absolutely. I'm still on the baseball streets, mainly cash. Tournaments have come down a little bit in terms of prizes. Yeah, I appreciate it, G-Rise, and I appreciate it, Nades. Someone else said congrats, too.

5:49

Thank you, D-Wit. Appreciate that. Yeah, I mean, I had played sixty teams. Fifty-six of my sixty had Jackson darts. So, I mean, I even put in the Discord, I said, on to Thursday when he got hurt. I mean, super, super lucky. Again, four live teams when he goes down and one of them gets to the top. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, and I will definitely take that yesterday. So I appreciate everyone saying congrats. Yeah, the hockey sweater on.

6:14

Pop Stowers ready for some hockey, talking about nades. Our hockey guy over here about some Habs goalie hot takes. And I hear Habs. I think of my man Cole Caulfield. Hey, NBA is going to be here before you know it. NHL is going to be here before you know it. We have you covered in those sports, but we do have golf that's still going on. Of course, MLB is still going on. MMA is always going on. NASCAR is going on. College football and NFL.

6:37

So, so much going on over here at The Nation. During the best time of the year for sports. So again, if you do want to join us, so many sports going on, six of them to be exact. We do have an NFL only deal that gets you in the ship at games over $45,000 given away. You get SaberSim, you get the Discord. But I assume you guys watching the MLB show. So you want to get some MLB content. Bottom left.

6:58

Join the nation for five for nine or for five days. You can get in for nineteen dollars. Again, I think that's a good time to try it out with six sports going on.

7:07

Can see that trial right here SaberSim and the Discord but also if you know you want to be with us for the month for the year it only gets cheaper as you go up for duration of time starter I think is the best deal you get four or more lineups than core you can late swap you get sabersims projections and OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ as well as ours, and you get contest flashback to see what the pros are doing.

7:27

If you're playing thousands of dollars a month, I do think contest sims and the ability to build $5,000 teams is something you're probably looking at as most of the pros throwing in a lot of teams. I mean, I play professionally. It's weird calling myself a pro, but I definitely do use the ultimate package at SaberSim and have for a while. What's up, Clint? Great to see you. ALS in here as well. Anyone else I miss? The kind bail bonds hat.

7:54

Yeah, this is this is the I think it's the kind I could be mispronouncing it. Someone at the poker table actually in Vegas, a Brazilian. Let me know what it is. It's a surfing company, I believe he said, and it used to ride the board. So, hey, you learn something new every single day. Again, ALS in here, Pop Stone. What's up, Jake? Great to see you. I hope I did not miss anyone in chat.

8:15

Hope everyone out there having a great day. Again, we'd love to have you at the nation, but we're bringing you free shows pretty much every single day. And all we do ask is the like button and the subscribe button.

8:26

It helps us out a ton again sharing our partner optimizer over here at SaberSim and right here you can see we're taking the average of Ship It Nation and SaberSim projections and ownership and again starter and above you have the ability to get the second set of projections and ownership over here at SaberSim look at that pop stoner there you go you can uh you can get two dollars your eyes in and buy some uh that was very nice of you All right, I say we get right into it, G.

8:56

Rison. Again, we are going to have to talk Max Fried and Rasmussen, two guys on DraftKings, two of the four highest-priced pitchers on the slate. I think it's going to be relatively spread out if we're just sorting by OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. Imanaga is coming in number one. I mean, the Marlins team's garbage. Only replied for two point nine runs. A good money line for Imanaga. Again, the lowest total on the slate are the Marlins. After that, Logan Gilbert. J.R.

9:22

Ritchie, if someone is going to want to punt, it looks like people will go there. I'm not sure he's going to be twenty four percent. Maybe if you do want to spend up at bats. And then Taj Bradley, Max Fried, Rasmussen. So just looking at ownership, every single one, but one guy. So five of the top six are all $9,000 and above. So it is a slate. I do expect many to spend up at pitching.

9:42

And again, after the Rasmussen and again, only eleven percent free, thirteen percent. No one projected for double digit ownership. So we'll go.

9:52

Let's go we'll go $1,000 and above like like I usually have in the past sean mania $1,000 uh don't think you'll have much interest maybe I'm wrong though all the way up to taj bradley a loaded I mean I'm gonna say loaded for the slates I've been on the shows lately talking pitching this is a lot better than most so what do you think at uh at pitching yeah I guess we can move our way up mania uh I'm not really interested in him.

10:16

He's only had, I think his last couple of games, I can double check. In my mind, I say he's had low pitch counts. He has sixty seven, sixty one. So I'm not going there. I mean, this is the kind of time of year two people are will or teams are willing to pull out their starters a little bit early. As you said, they got deeper benches. They got more arms. They want to use bats. They want to use. I'm not interested in Sasaki Gore.

10:39

I mean, he's been struggling so bad here in recent times with his control. I mean, Gore is a guy I've been using throughout the year. I just can't do it the last, you know, six or five or six weeks. He's just not been good. So I'm not interested in Gore. King against the Dodgers. I just I just I can't do that. So now we're going to get up here in the top five. So like you said, a lot of high end pitching here today.

11:03

And Mamaga does get a pretty good matchup against Miami with that wind blowing in. So I'm not really worried about his fly ball lane that we normally have, as you mentioned. I mean, you get a discount off Taj Bradley at a thousand, who is actually my favorite pitcher today. He's been he's had the best recent form. So Bradley for me is my SP one and I'd go in my SP two. So those would be the two I'd play.

11:29

I think that's going to be fairly ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ pair actually today, unless you want to pay up for the Arizona bats. But either way, I think Bradley against that San Francis team out there in San Francis, we're looking at a game total seven and a half. Bradley, his last thirty days has looked pretty good as far as strikeouts go. He's at thirty four and a half percent the righties, thirty one and a half percent the lefties.

11:51

His control's been a little bit off to lefties, as it kind of has been all year. But they don't really have too many patients over there in that San Francis lineup. I'd say the only one that I'd call with any kind of patience is Marcelo Mayer. Everybody else is not really looking too good there. But Bradley, I mean, he's given up a little power. I just don't really worry about it here with the Giants and this lineup that they're throwing out.

12:17

Bradley, for me, is by far my favorite. Zebby Matthews last night had nine strikeouts. I think Bradley is a much better pitcher. This Tampa Bay Yankee game is definitely interesting. As I mentioned, the Yankees need to win all four of those games. I can see the Rays letting Rasmussen go a little bit here, especially since they didn't win earlier today. I think Rasmussen would definitely be in my pool today.

12:45

Against the Yankees, but I think that's more of a GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Full explanation ↗ pivot off of somebody like Bradley and for me, really, and Imanaga. I mean, if you want to go Max Fried, I think I like him a little bit more now that that game, the Yankees did win that game. So I think Fried is somebody that I'd also leave here in my pool. So, I mean, he did get up to almost ninety pitches is coming off the aisle. He's only had, what, three or four starts.

13:13

So if I can get maybe ninety pitches out of Max Fried, I do like it. I don't like the strikeout matchup, but I do think I could throw him in the pool as a pivot. Off of Emanga and Bradley. And then Gilbert, for me, he's just struggled at home really bad. So I don't know. I mean, the Mariners don't have anything to play for. I mean, they don't – I don't know. I just worry about that matchup there with Gilbert in Houston.

13:40

His strikeout's been down a little bit to righties. He's been getting beat up at home. So I'd leave Gilbert out. But for me, Bradley one, Emanga two, and then I'd probably go Rasmussen, Fried, And then I got a couple guys maybe I could look at down below, but I call them whiskey type plays. But either way, I think Bradley for me is by far the lock button on this slate, especially with what we're dealing with today. I like his leash that he's got.

14:07

I mean, he's already been on a team that's been out of it for a while, and he's been getting the pitch count we're looking for. Gets a good matchup against San Fran. There's no reason to overthink it. He'd be my favorite. Yeah, it makes a lot of sense. If I'm playing twenty teams or less, I would strongly consider just playing Imanaga, $9,000 up to Bradley, $10,000 and just rotating these five. Again, Max Freeman, I see thirteen percent. That's intriguing.

14:34

Let me ask you this. You rise. And so in the far right, you can see SaberSim does have average projected number of pitches thrown. Do any of these in the top five, because we are at that time of year where it's a little harder project to project pitches. Do any of these. On the far right look too light or too heavy? No, I'd say that's probably about right. I think maybe Bradley's a little light at .

15:03

I think he could probably go a little bit deeper than that, especially with that matchup against San Francis. I think the Yankees would want Fried to have more than pitches because that means they're probably winning the game. So I think that would be in play. They want to get to the back of that bullpen. But, yeah, I mean, I don't mind that. I mean, some of the guys down below, like – I mean, we could talk about it. Like, I really do not like this rain much.

15:32

J.R. Ritchie, I mean, we definitely have – projected higher than the industry. I projected higher than I would have them. Fifteen point one one. I mean, Ritchie hasn't really shown me anything to be confident in. With that being said, if you do look here, Braves only implied for four point one runs, which isn't great. Braves are implied for five four. He's a decent sized favorite. I think Kikuchi is a little interesting down below. And then Soroka.

15:57

I don't like playing pitchers in Coors, but he's $7,200. Again, all of these guys to eighty five pitch count. Eighty eight. For Kikuchi and eighty three for Ritchie. Like if I am paying down, I want my guys to have the possibility to be extended if they are having a good start. Other guys, like I said, I I just can't make a case, I don't think for anyone else. So do you have any interest in Soroka, Ritchie, Kikuchi? And then is there any yes or no?

16:23

And then is there anyone I didn't have interest in or mentioned that you would have interest in? Again, seven point seven Robleski all the way down to Basso. Yeah, I'm not, uh, Soroka for me. I'm, I'm out on that one. I can't, I'm not really wanting to play any pitching in course field. Kikuchi, I hope to God everybody else plays Kikuchi cause that guy's just not been good. His strikeouts been bad. He's been controlled, been all over the damn place, been walking a lot of guys.

16:49

So Kikuchi for me, I, I not even considering Kikuchi. I, like I said, I hope everybody else plays that guy. But, uh, for me, um, I think also that, uh, Oh, man, I think I could probably maybe stomach. Man, I think I could stomach Javier a little bit. I think I could stomach him just because. If you're looking for a guy down below, I think I could stomach Javier. I don't really like going to too much further, but yeah, I don't really like too much down below.

17:26

Yeah, I agree. Again, it would be something like this for me. I'll keep Javier because you mentioned him. I already X'd out Ritchie. I'd be fine to keep him, but I don't really like it. I did take a good amount of OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ away from Ritchie and added to Kikuchi because I do think that he is under-owned right now. We have him under projected ownership than what he's going to come in at. Yeah, my pitching pool would look something like this, and I would definitely cap.

17:55

These guys down below, something like this, and I would be fine getting absolutely none of these three as well. The more teams you build, the more you should extend your pool, of course, but I think you pick two of Imanaga in between Bradley, and you roll with it from there, and again, you do have different ownership buckets as well, depending on how ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ your team is. There's always enough cheap bats on the slate, like we talk about. There's one other guy, too.

18:19

You could maybe look at Molina from the Giants, but I mean, he's pretty good against righties, but he's going to see one, two, three, four, five, you know, five or six lefties from Minnesota. And, I mean, against lefties, he's, you know, not been all that great. Eighteen percent, he gets barreled up. But he's been very good against righties. I mean, that's just, you know, I guess if I was in a deep pool, I think I'd leave Molina in my pool. OK, that that's very fair.

18:49

We do need some or like we don't need cheap bats like the Diamondbacks in Coors on the road. Like it's a very clear spot. They only have two players above $5,000, though, and Marte five to Corbin Carroll five threes like you can still spend up at top tier pitching. And play the D-backs. Now, a lot of people will do that.

19:08

So I'd be a little cautious when it comes to ownership, which is why I think leaving the cheaper guys in the pool is fine if you do want to play Coors. Again, you're getting a cheaper pitcher when you don't really need it. I mean, back in the day, DK actually priced almost all of the whole lineup above $4,000 and then plenty in the $5,000, not the case anymore, which will lead to mega, mega chalk.

19:28

But when you are five manning the D-backs, I think that's where you should look to get a little difference at pitching. All right, let's swap on over to the Stone, the best tool in DFS. Shout out to the big man in the sky that brought it over to us at Shippenation. And now we do have it for every single sport above, as you can see. And the Stone 2.0 point out, which allows you to like virtual hand build and plug in different guys here.

19:52

I'll just click it real quick. We haven't showed off the Stone 2.0 point out very much, but.

19:56

Yeah as you can see you can sort by projection you can sort by DK ranking catcher first base third base if you do want to see hitter stats you have that ability as well FanDuel DraftKings and then just say yeah like a pitcher all right I know I want to play Fried I know I want to play Rasmussen and you can see down here how many um how much money per player you have what's the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ looking at and all that good stuff so Yeah.

20:19

Shout out to the team over here at the stone. Two point. Oh, and all sports is is very good. Then you can click optimize lineup. Boom. Get your projection. Get your ownership. How much remaining? All of that good stuff. Let's go to the actual stone, and we will talk about the first game of the night. And, again, this is on DraftKings and not on FanDuel. Ten games on DraftKings, nine on FanDuel.

20:40

This is the one difference, the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees. Drew Rasmussen, Max Fried on the mound. I mentioned these are two of the pitchers I have interest in, so I will not be playing bats personally. What about you? Doesn't happen often, G. Rison, but you are on mute. You know, that's the first freaking time all year, too. I'll blame it on the scientists, too. But, I mean, is this the first time we've seen a game total of six in the regular season?

21:09

That's like a playoff-type line. Yeah. So, for me, I mean, there ain't no reason to even consider playing any kind of offenses. But this game total would have been way different if Tampa would have won earlier because Tampa would probably roll out some shit lineups. So but yeah, I mean, no reason to push either one of these two guys. I think they're both respectable pitches, pitchers and, you know, game total sitting at six.

21:32

And then we got that Cubs game sitting at six and a half. So getting that time of year title, getting to be cold, wind blowing in, ball's not going to fly. But yeah, those two games definitely have a little bit of meaning today. Yeah, that one's an easy one. Pop Stone goes, so who's going to be hosting KBO before a lock title because he's in Arizona? I will put that as a zero percent chance, Pop Stone.

21:53

Even when all that was going on, I was a team League of Legends over KBO. I was in those streets. So you will not be finding, there could be no baseball and you still will never touch, see me touching KBO. I will leave that to some other people. All right, let's move on to, yeah, we go from a pitcher's duel to a pretty high total in this one. J.R. Ritchie, Brandon Williamson, the Reds, and the Braves.

22:16

These are two pitchers that I do not think are any good. I think you can load up on either side of the plate. You do prefer lefties against Ritchie. Unfortunately, there's only three lefties. In the Reds' order, but again, he can get hit from both sides. He is wild. And then Williamson, I'm fine with lefties or righties against this guy. He's just a complete can, and I can play this Braves lineup one through nine confidently.

22:37

Something that stands out, I think Baldwin might be three times as own as Sean Murphy. So if you are eating chalk at a lot of other spots, I think that's one way you can get difference. But yeah, I think this is a great game to target on both sides, and only the Braves are getting OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. So I like the Reds. What about you? Yeah, Braves are going to be one of my favorite teams today, especially the righties against Williamson. As you mentioned, that dude sucks, man.

23:01

And then you get the bullpen right behind him. I mean, I think let me just double check. Williamson's got more walks and strikeouts against righties. Is that right? Yeah, I think he does. I mean, this guy is just not good. So, yeah, I mean, I like all of the bats, I mean, especially with that bullpen coming in behind them.

23:22

So for me, if I'm looking for a team that I'm trying to keep up with that course field stack in that D backs, I think the Braves would definitely be on top of my list to to fit that mold. I agree. I agree for sure. Two and O for us being on the same page in the first two games. Next game, not going to get much ownership on either side, the White Sox and the Royals. Daniel Lynch, Anthony Kaye on the mound.

23:47

What do you see in this one? Oh, Lynch and Kaye. I mean... I don't mind picking on some Lynch. I mean, he's just a low strikeout lefty who's not going to get too many, too many, you know, miss too many bats. So, like, I think Michael Vargas is a great play. Tommy Pham, Grichuk, Doyle. I mean, they could be a little pinch hit risk there, but I just think Lynch is a guy that we could pick on.

24:18

Vargas has been smashing lefties all year long, so I think he'd be a guy I'd leave. I think maybe some mini stacks maybe for the White Sox if you wanted to have him in a deeper pool. But, I mean, picking on that Royals bullpen isn't always a bad adventure either, but Vargas for me stands out as a really good play tonight. Yeah, it's a little harder for me to get to these Royals against K. Keeps the ball on the ground. He's tough on lefties.

24:44

You want righties when you're playing against him. Too many more lefties in the Royals order than I'd want. Bobby Witt, Garcia, Salve, I think are the three I'm looking at. So it's more of a mini-stack one-off for me in terms of the Royals. And then, yeah, for the White Sox, against what I always say, Dusty Daniel Lynch, another guy that is tougher on lefties than righties. So, yeah, I don't mind Vargas.

25:07

What I do like about the White Sox is they at least have seven of their nine batters hitting from the right side. So I don't mind if you want to stack a one through five. I prefer it as mini stacks or three-man stacks. I don't hate one through five. Again, they are very cheap outside of Vargas. So if you are spending up at pitcher, want to play the D-backs or something, I think a White Sox is a way to get different in secondary stacks.

25:27

But don't love it. Or either side when we're talking five-mans. All right, next game, Cubs and the Marlins. Soto Imanaga on the mound, taking on Jackson Junk. Yeah, Jansen Junk, excuse me. I didn't mention, like we talked about Imanaga. I didn't really mention the weather at Wrigley, but, I mean, it's pretty gross. Ross says some nagging drizzle missed, but light enough to play ball. Cool temps and wind blowing in at fifteen miles an hour sustained. And then he said, or stronger.

25:57

So for a park where wind means more than any single park that I can think of for baseball, when it's blowing in, the total is a lot lower than if it's blowing out. So Marlins, I'm definitely not playing them regardless. Imanaga's a great play, even if the weather wasn't like that. The Cubs, though, man, if this was a normal wind, like there was no wind, I think the Cubs would be pretty interesting against junk.

26:23

With all the wind blowing in, They're going to be ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗, so I guess that's one way to put it. But, man, they are expensive, like six, nine, and five, four in the first two batters. You're going to probably have to spend down at pitching, and they're going to have to match the D-backs and Braves if they get to the winner. So it's tough for me. What do you think? Yeah, I mean, Junk's a guy we definitely like to pick on. He's not missing any bats.

26:50

That's for damn sure with his just under six percent strikeout rate to righties in the last thirty days is absolutely horrible. And then he's been getting barreled up almost eleven percent by righties. He's got a four sixty five Woba. I mean, yeah, I mean, you could definitely stack up some of these Cubs. But like you said, with the weather blown in, we're sitting at a game total six and a half. Cubs a huge favorite minus two or three. So I guess they really don't expect.

27:16

The Marlins to score many runs here. But Yeah, I mean, I think it's for a different day. As you mentioned, they're just a little too pricey. It just seems like I'm jamming. I mean, I feel like the Cubs scored like seven or eight runs. Like, I feel like I'd be lucky if they hit two homers in the weather conditions. Like, they're just going to single and double it to death.

27:35

And, you know, we could have a team that hits four or five homers and scores five runs that could definitely outscore the Cubbies that score eight or ten runs and with a bunch of, you know, doubles and singles and so forth. So, yeah. I just, for home run hunting, I just don't feel like that's the game that we need to be looking at. I think this is pretty sharp by DeWitt, though, talking about the stolen base upside that the Cubs have today.

28:02

Yeah, I don't hate it, I guess. But, man, like six, nine PCA, it just takes up so much of your roster spot and the ability to spend up that pitching like I want, D-backs, Braves. It's a way to get contrarian. Probably not where I'm going to go today, but I think there are worse spots than the Cubs. I believe the Cubs are like a win or two away from clinching a wild card spot too. Definitely ain't clinching no division.

28:24

Yeah, they're not going to win the division, but I still think they could clinch a wild card. So they definitely have something to keep playing for. Yeah, I'm looking behind me. Hardly any Brewers I got behind me. Yeah, there it is in one of those pictures right there. We got ourselves some yellow. Even if Nate is probably listening, I've adopted the Brew crew as my team. Just because I love to see that pitching staff just crush the Dodgers. That would be awesome.

28:54

I mean, yeah, even if they do, many probably remember last year, they couldn't touch Yamamoto and pretty much anyone. So the bat's got to do something. It's usually not the pitching that lets them down. It'll be fun, though. Brewers, man, the farm system and what they can do with their salary cap. Pat Murphy. They're going to be scary, too. Yeah, for sure, for sure. All right, let's move on to two southpaws in the Rangers and the Mets, Sean Minaya, MacKenzie Gore.

29:19

We're looking at, like, no OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ on either side. Righties can get to both of these pitchers. I do prefer the Rangers because, I mean, they're absolutely free. I don't mind Fauscu. Corey Seager, again, he's a lefty, but he's three point $6,000, just a stud at shortstop. So I'm fine playing him. John Berger Langford. I mean, even Jansen or Diaz to fill out a catcher position down below. I actually think the Rangers are one of my sneaky stacks on the slate.

29:48

Again, against Minaya, you do want righties. As far as the Mets against MacKenzie Gore, who's the righties that I would want? Vientos at first base, three point $2,000 semi and second base, $3,000 Alvarez, three, three at catcher. Like these guys look a little interesting. Boba Shett, three, eight at third base. These onesie position guys are, Lindor is fine. I don't love it, though.

30:09

But when you are double spending pitcher and paying up for other stuff, I think the Mets and the Rangers, both of these righties are very cheap. Fill out onesie positions and can complete lineups at low ownership. So by default, I have more interest in this game than the field. What about you? I mean, I don't mind picking on Sean Minaya, especially with the righties, especially with some of the righties that Texas is rolling out. Foscue, John Berger. Langford at Duran. I think they're all in play.

30:38

Minaya has not been good against righties at all. His K percentage is down to fourteen percent. Woba, three seventy seven. Fly ball percentages are about thirty three percent. A little high. He's been getting barreled up eleven percent. So as I said before, it's probably tough to put on that Mets jersey night in and night out rolling down the season here. It's getting to be almost That time of year. So, I mean, I just don't really like playing in the teams in that Texas stadium there.

31:08

But I think Foscue is an excellent play against Minaya, especially batting up there at the top of that lineup. But I mean, slight pinch hit risk. But I mean, he's been crushing. He's been crushing lefties all year. I like it. I like it. Next game on the slate, Coors Field, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies. Michael Scirocca, Tyler Freeland on the mound. I mean, you can just look at this D-backs ownership.

31:31

Again, that's kind of why I'm saying if you are playing them, Max Fried and Rasmussen showed to be the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. Maybe just don't play in Manaea, pair them with the Rangers or the Mets, mix in the bottom of the order, Kikuchi's of the world down below. You just can't play in Manaea. And, I don't know, another somewhat ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ pitcher and then five-man D-backs and fill it out from there.

31:53

I think you're holding hands with too many people on a ten-game slate, but there's not too many holes to poke in this D-backs team. I'll make a case for the Rockies, though, for sure. I mean, I always like the lower-owned side of Coors, or usually do, which is almost always the Rockies. But, man, Soroka can get hit from the left side of the plate. Jake McCarthy, Rumfield, Cole Kerrig, and then three at the bottom of the order.

32:16

And then the righties, like Hurter Goodman a stud. Five-nine is a lot to pay for. This Tyler Karos guy, Connor Norby at a second base. I'm fine with them, but I do like the lefties. Rumfield, McCarthy, Kerrig I think are pretty strong players. Bottom of the order, I mean, these dudes are bums that are hitting from the left side of the plate, so probably still don't like them much.

32:36

But yeah, McCarthy, Rumfield, Kerrig, I think any of those as a mini stack or one-offs is interesting. But man, they're implied for four point eight runs with no ownership in the best hitting park. So. Can you get to the righties against Soroka, or what are you doing with the Rockies and talk about the D-backs? All right, I'll take it back. Zach, who has a great name, Veen, isn't a bum. Dude is a stud. All right, Nades, I'm in. I'll tell you.

33:05

Soroka, you know, I mean, especially the right side, he's a mid-ground ball lean type pitcher. I mean, I guess if I was going to go after him, I guess I'd go after him with lefties. I just, Soroka isn't a guy that I generally have been chasing against. And I just think the Rockies are just priced up a little too high, especially over on DK. They're way higher.

33:26

I was looking over on DK and where I normally play baseball on FanDuel, but it seems like the Rockies are priced up. But Arizona on the other side, you got Freeland. I mean, what are we looking at? Sixty pitches, maybe twice through the lineup, if that. So I do like some of the righties, obviously, for the D-backs. I think for me, if I'm going D-back stack, what do you think, Title? Maybe we just leave Corbin Carroll off and leave something like that off.

33:57

I mean, he's hitting seven today, though. We have Corbin Carroll as the second lowest in the D-back stack today. Yeah, I mean, I just think, though, a lot of people that are hand-building are going to probably put Corbin Carroll in. That's fair. But I think I would probably leave him off and just go with some of the righties is maybe what I'd be looking at. But, yeah, I mean, we got a game. I mean, this total is at eleven.

34:22

We already talked about two games that were in the sixes. So we're talking four or five runs higher in this one game. So that's why obviously all the optos are really loving this game. But, yeah, D-backs for me, I think I would just be overweight and then, you know, kind of leave Corbin Carroll off is what maybe I would do. All right, fair enough. We got, let's see how many games we got left. One, two, three, still got four games left.

34:46

36:00

Brady Basso, you see Kikuchi on the mound. Again, I do think this OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗'s a little higher on Kikuchi. The ownership on Kikuchi will be a little higher than it is now. And if that's the case, give me some of these A's. You want righties against Kikuchi. And yeah, they're rolling out plenty of righties. Seven of their nine hit from the right side of the plate. Only one priced above $5,000. So I think the A's are actually pretty good.

36:26

On this slate and then man this basso cat also isn't very good against righties guaranteed ninth inning at bats for the Angels only two players priced above $5,000 and then it's uh it's very cheap from there so I like both sides of this game g ryzen looking at just this ownership versus the D-backs On a slate where I'm probably going to eat a good amount of pitching, I'm going to say Angeles and A's are ahead of D-backs for me, but really it's an ownership game.

36:52

It's just hard for me to stomach on a ten-game slate playing five of these guys when they have a hundred sixty-one cumulative ownership. So I'll take a third of that on either side. Still a good run total on both sides. Two southpaws that are hittable on the right side of the plate. What about you? Yeah, we can start with the A's. I mean, Kikuchi, I mean, he's just controls been all over the place here in recent times at eleven percent walk rate both sides of the plate.

37:20

His ground ball percentage has dropped a little bit to the right side. He's way higher ground ball pitcher to the left side than he is to the right side. He's been getting barreled up almost eleven percent by righties. I mean, Lang Lears, I mean, that looks like a great play. Voltae, I think, is a great play. Heim's a good play. I think those guys are definitely in play for me. So attacking Kikuchi, especially he's going to get a little bit of ownership.

37:45

It seems like a pretty good deal. I mean, I definitely like attacking that bullpen. We like the park. So a lot of things are lining up. As far as the Angeles go, I think the top of that lineup, Neto, Trout, Siri, maybe Grisham is where I'd look. Basso, where's he going to go? Two, three innings maybe? Strikeout percentages are very low.

38:06

Hasn't really been getting all barreled up all that much, but it is a ground ball pitcher to the left side, ground ball not so much to the right side. So that's where I'd be looking at a guy like Trout, Netto.

38:19

Definitely uh stand out you look at the fly ball percentages series at almost forty four percent netto thirty six trout thirty two so even travis deonard is at uh thirty nine percent so get some guys to get the ball up in the air I think basso is definitely something we can attack we can attack the bullpen I like attacking both bullpens So, yeah, I'd put the Angeles up there maybe like with the Braves.

38:42

You know, like I'd put them pretty close up there, that top four, or I feel pretty comfortable about picking on Basso, especially with the park bump there. So, yeah, I'd put that up there. I think maybe a mini stack of the A's would be nice. Maybe if you wanted to add them like maybe to some D-backs, I think you can get them fairly cheap in a decent spot. But, yeah, I think the Angeles for me are definitely interesting, especially the top.

39:06

Half of that lineup with all that power they got with them righties. Yeah, sign me up for both sides of this game. This is my favorite, probably two stacks on the slate at ownership because I do think Braves and D-backs, obviously D-backs will be way higher. I do think the Braves take some steam as well. So this is the game to pivot. A great park, relatively cheap outside of a couple guys, two southpaws that are attackable.

39:29

Sign me up for the Angeles and the A's. And I think the over comes through. Three games left. Definitely not my favorite games when we're talking bats. That's why we already talked about a decent amount of teams who like this. Rangers for pretty cheap. The White Sox we didn't hate. But yeah, I do think it's going to be relatively condensed for me when talking five-man stacks. Hard for me to get there for either of these two teams against Christian Javier and Logan Gilbert.

39:56

Two pitchers I respect. Yeah, obviously Logan Gilbert heavily respected. And Javier... I guess you said you had a little interest in Javier, which kind of took a little interest away from me. With that being said, if they're going to really be one and two percent all the way across the board, I think I can play some one through seven. They got enough pop in this lineup. They can turn it over. They have enough lefties, too.

40:24

Yeah, man, six of the nine or seven of the nine will hit from the left side of the plate. I'm going to circle back a little bit. I actually do think the Mariners at literally no OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. Couldn't make a run in the late night, so I do agree with that at all, and I'm not playing Astros personally. I mean, just look at Javier numbers. He's kind of been reverse splitzy.

40:44

I mean, he's been getting barreled up quite a bit by righties all year long, almost double from righty to lefty in basically the same amount of plate appearances, . But, I mean, the fly ball rate is what's getting me the last thirty days for Javier against righties is fifty four percent. Like that's pretty high, especially at forty some plate appearances. So, I mean, a Arozarena Julio, I think it'd be a couple of guys maybe I could use for one off.

41:16

I mean, I'm not really looking to stack this, but I think you could maybe pluck some one offs out of that. All right, fair enough. Two games left. New York Giants. Oh, my gosh. San Francis Giants. You're going way back, dude. Shit, Christy Mathews or something. What are you talking about? I don't know what I'm talking about. San Francis Giants and the Minnesota Twins, Taj Bradley, Anthony Molina on the mound. You mentioned a little interest in Molina.

41:44

You said you love Bradley, so I assume no Giants. I definitely have no interest in the Giants. The Twins, though, showing low OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. You did mention a little interest in Anthony Molina, though, so I'm curious, is that enough to keep you away from these Twins, or do you have some interest? He does struggle against the left side of the plate a good bit. He does struggle against the lefties a good bit. I mean, I don't mind going after it. I just wish the Twins just don't look.

42:11

I mean, that lineup just looks, I don't know, just looks pretty weak to me what their projected lineup is rolling. I don't think it's dropped yet. But I mean, it's just not normally what we've been seeing from a Twins lineup. I mean, I was looking at it yesterday and I was kind of giggling. But, yeah, I mean, Molina has struggled a little bit.

42:31

I think I'd rather lean on the side of playing Molina just because that Twins lineup looks like it's been watered down a little bit. Okay. Last game of the night. Again, appreciate everyone hanging out. Remember, all weather looks to be good. Wind's blowing in at Wrigley. For a boost of pitchers and bad for bats, but it's nine games on FanDuel, ten on DraftKings, seven-oh-five Eastern on DraftKings because it's including the doubleheader for the Rays and the Yankees where FanDuel's leaving it off.

42:56

Starting the slate at seven-fifteen Eastern. San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Rokey Sasaki on the mound taking on Michael King. I mean, you can always play the Dodgers against anybody, but with that being said, King is definitely someone I respect on this slate, one of the better pitchers. As far as Robleski, he's a southpaw. You prefer righties against him. Two lefties, so sure, you can always play Fernandez Tatis, Manny Machado. You're paying for it, though, when you're playing it.

43:24

I don't see myself getting to this game too much in the late night. No, it's hard to stack against either of these bullpens, too. I mean, two of the best bullpens in all of baseball. So that's a little bit concerning. As you mentioned, I don't really want to pick on King with the Dodgers here. But yeah, I think I just respect the bullpens enough not to not to want to fool with it.

43:47

But yeah I mean uh decent slate we got here today with the with the ten games I'm kind of interested to see if uh you know we can crack that uh course field chalk and and see if we can uh get a couple teams here that can compete with that I think we talked about a few that I like I think the Braves are interesting uh for sure I think uh I think I could also look at the the Angels maybe some a's a little bit here tonight so I think there's different ways we can go I did mention I like a little bit of some white socks against lynch So, yeah, interesting slate.

44:20

But I think for me, if you're going to play Arizona, I'd be careful how you do it because I just feel like they're going to be fairly ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. Definitely a premium piece of the product I will not click on because it would not be fair to our members. But again, you can get in as low as nineteen dollars for five days if you want to give us a try. Otherwise, you can see monthly and annual packages over here at Shippenation.com.

Again, all you got to do is click join the nation and you can see all of the good stuff. Again, the longer you're with us, the cheaper it gets. SaberSim included in all of them. SaberSim is included in all of them, as well as the Discord, which is a huge piece of our product at Shippenation. A lot of great people in the YouTube chat, also in the Discord. You absolutely cannot beat it. That's going to do it for us, G-Rising.

Always good talking baseball with you. Our last show of the year. Hopefully MLB figures out in the offseason, but I will be back with Nades tomorrow talking baseball, and then I think it's G-Rising Matt on Thursday and Matt Nades on Friday to round us all out. Like button, subscribe button on the way out. Helps us out a ton. Thank you very much. Enjoy your Tuesday night. For G-Rising, I'm Titletown. Peace.
