The Short Version

Matthew Belman and Ryan Davenport favor Dak Prescott among the top quarterbacks, with Baker Mayfield and Jordan Love providing preferred tournament alternatives. Javonte Williams ($6,400) gets the strongest running back endorsement and a slate-breaking prediction, while Aaron Jones supplies value. Expensive receivers are a priority, but opinions split on Chase versus Smith-Njigba and on Saquon Barkley. Bijan remains playable, though enthusiasm differs sharply over his price and expected ownership.

Parker Washington ($5,900) gets a strong closing call, while KC Concepcion ($4,100) offers cheap upside and a Browns bring-back for Tampa stacks. Ryan Flournoy provides another way to differentiate popular Dallas builds. Schultz and Mayer lead the tight-end value discussion, with Andrews also drawing support and other options tied to stacks. Arizona, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, New England, and Houston feature among the defensive preferences. Chicago weather limits interest in Caleb Williams.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
Excluded from limited-lineup plans because of Minnesota's defense and Chicago weather, while remaining possible in a 150-lineup portfolio. 9:11
Baker Mayfield + Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin or Cade Otton TOP STACK A preferred tournament offense against a Cleveland defense described as diminished, with multiple receiving partners and Browns bring-backs available. 12:02
Jordan Love + Matthew Golden or Tucker Kraft TOP STACK A preferred tournament alternative to Dallas-Washington, with attractive receiving partners and straightforward Jets bring-backs. 12:31
Jacoby Brissett + Michael Wilson + Trey McBride + Jaxon Smith-Njigba IN PLAY A speculative game stack suggested for only two or three lineups in a 150-entry portfolio. 13:15
FADE Not targeted because of Houston's pressure and stronger quarterback alternatives, even though Chase retained separate support. 14:15
VALUE One of the best salary values with Mason out, a favorable matchup, and an expected workload increase, despite discomfort with playing him as chalk. 15:02
CORE A preferred lineup foundation at $6,400, with exposure planned well above the field and a prediction that he finishes as the slate's top running back. 16:27
Opinions were split between a major ceiling call against Carolina and limited exposure with a single-lineup fade because of salary and ownership. 16:51
Acknowledged as a good play but not a necessity, with concern about a slower game, a low floor, and cheaper alternatives. 17:44
Considered a reasonable way to play the opposite side of Bijan's game, but enthusiasm was limited and Javonte plus Jones remained the preferred pairing. 20:13
Would require roughly ten or more lineups before inclusion despite an explosive opener, with Minnesota's defense limiting interest. 20:38
LEVERAGE Opinions were split between a low-owned slate-breaking call against Tennessee and skepticism about Philadelphia's offense. 21:34
ONE-OFF Limited tournament exposure is encouraged at $6,700 for his talent and big-play upside, especially opposite San Francisco pieces. 22:23
FADE Explicitly rejected as a chase after three touchdowns, with concerns about rushing efficiency, shared work, and Houston's offense. 23:07
LEVERAGE Opinions were split: strong interest in his talent, likely volume, and reduced ownership was opposed by concerns about Houston's coverage and pressure. 25:01
Dak Prescott + CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens TOP STACK Prescott is the favorite quarterback for price and matchup, with strong support for his two leading receivers in the popular Dallas game. 25:24
LEVERAGE A preferred contrarian receiver for his ceiling and expected low ownership, though his salary made him difficult to prioritize in a single lineup. 25:49
His expected volume keeps him in consideration despite a salary increase, but the higher receiver tier is preferred. 27:23
ONE-OFF On the short list as a rebound candidate after a disappointing opener, with confidence in his season-long outlook. 27:51
ONE-OFF A favored Tampa receiver described as its clear leading option, with substantial exposure noted later in the discussion. 27:51
Drew a strong ceiling call and substantial exposure, but the other view remained uncertain about Jacksonville's offense on the road in Denver. 29:13
VALUE His $5,100 salary keeps him playable after a strong opener, although there is uncertainty about whether he can sustain a leading role over McMillan. 31:30
A return to Carolina's presumed leading receiver was considered reasonable, while the cheaper Coker drew more exposure elsewhere. 31:30
Opinions were split between buying a $5,200 receiver with heavy target volume and expecting Gonzalez and New England's defense to limit him. 32:43
VALUE Endorsed for large-field tournaments at $4,400 on DraftKings and $5,000 on FanDuel with Flowers absent. 33:51
Floated for large-field tournaments at $5,100 based on his size, opening performance, and potential red-zone targets. 33:51
LEVERAGE Endorsed for large-field tournaments at $6,000 as a way to use Atlanta without following the field onto Bijan. 34:20
VALUE Loved at $4,100 for big-play ability and as a Cleveland bring-back in Tampa stacks, with a closing prediction of at least 15 fantasy points. 35:36
Long-term enthusiasm was tempered by limited opening-game playing time and concern that his production would attract too much ownership. 38:36
FADE Passed over despite being the most appealing of the discussed Houston receivers, with concern that he is still settling into the offense. 39:56
LEVERAGE A cheap, low-owned Dallas alternative, preferably alongside one of Lamb or Pickens or as the lone bring-back in a Washington stack. 41:58
VALUE A leading cheap tight end expected to absorb some of Collins' work, though the show differed on whether Andrews was worth the additional salary. 43:13
VALUE Still a strong cheap option in the same expanded role, with less expected attention than the previous week and Schultz providing close competition. 43:13
Lamar Jackson + Rashod Bateman + Juwan Johnson IN PLAY Endorsed as a different way to build the Ravens game, using Johnson as the bring-back instead of Olave or Vele and moving away from Andrews at tight end. 45:07
A low-conviction pivot from Mayer and Schultz whose advantage would come from a touchdown allowing him to outscore the cheaper options. 46:27
Flowers' absence supports additional receiving work, with disagreement over paying more for him instead of taking Schultz's savings. 46:51
Justin Herbert + Ladd McConkey or Quentin Johnston + Michael Mayer IN PLAY The preferred Chargers construction uses their receivers with Mayer coming back rather than trying to select a Chargers tight end. 47:40
FADE Excluded with the Chargers tight ends because of the crowded rotation and preference for their wide receivers. 47:40
FADE Excluded with the Chargers tight ends because multiple players share the position and McConkey is expected to play. 47:40
Brock Purdy + George Kittle IN PLAY Kittle is supported specifically in Purdy stacks at $4,600, although there is uncertainty about his workload and whether Miami can push the game. 48:08
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DST ONE-OFF One of the first defenses considered because of the matchup with Watson and Cleveland's struggling offense. 49:11
Jacksonville Jaguars DST VALUE A top defensive value at $2,400 against Nix, with turnover potential making the salary particularly attractive. 49:34
Arizona Cardinals DST VALUE A favorite defense at $2,500 against Drew Lock after an encouraging opening performance, with strong support reiterated at the end. 49:58
New England Patriots DST ONE-OFF Strongly endorsed against Rodgers after extended rest, with confidence in sacks, turnovers, and Gonzalez's coverage of Metcalf. 50:22
Initially limited to game stacks, then reconsidered as a viable alternative to Schultz or Mayer because Harvey's absence could help his receiving role. 50:22
Houston Texans DST ONE-OFF Endorsed at $3,000 on DraftKings and $4,000 on FanDuel because Burrow is viewed as less able than Allen to escape their pass rush. 50:49
Denver Broncos DST VALUE Also considered too cheap at home, with the Jacksonville matchup offering turnover potential on either side. 52:14

Clear for lift off. Going on, Ship It Nation YouTube station. We are back with the week two edition of the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ Constructions. It's your boy, Ham. I got my guy, Matt, in with me. And Matt, I'm going to start off. Nobody wants to remember the Mike Gesicki call, the no Jacobs Lane call. The Cincinnati Bengals defense is called – oh, and don't forget, they don't want to remember that the Lions and the Saints scored more than the Bengals and the Bucs.

1:08

They just want to bury Ham for his two bad takes, Lamar and the King. Hey, Ham's eating his ale on those two, but there was many more bad ones than – or many more good ones than those two bad ones. What's going on, my man? It's week two. It's a great time. Let's go. All right, pass it over to you. He's going to come in with the no Jacobs Lane take last week. That was some sort of like hot, hot take off the press.

1:35

I love it. People talking about Jacobs Lane. He would have smashed had he not gotten hurt. You cannot call. Did you not see the Baltimore offense? Like he had a touchdown call back. First off, he had a touchdown call back and left hurt in the first quarter. The fact that that was like your first call. The fact that that was your first call on things you got right last week. No, no, no, no.

1:58

I think you need to self-evaluate a little bit. I think you need to self-evaluate a little bit. When you're leading with no Jacobs Lane and Gesicki, when the two leading scores on the entire slate were guys you said you wanted zero of in one fifth. That's not true. Lamar and Henry, two of the top leading scorers. Okay, two of the top. Yes, two of the top. Sorry. Two of the top five, probably. Hey, I thought they were going to be bad.

2:23

I was wrong, but... He's going to come in with the no Jacobs Lane. Like that was some ultimate hot take. Either way, I can tell this show is going to be spicy, so let's get it. Hold on. That was one of like the four things I said, including that the Lions would score a million more points than the Bucs and Pringle. And who scored more points? I don't remember. Can you remind me?

2:44

First off, I remember distinctly I told you I did not love either game. We were talking about total points in the game. So you got one right. You got that that game scored more. And did it not get there late in the fourth quarter and overtime? I mean, you want me to take an L that you got one thing right? I don't even know what's going on here. Hold on. One thing? What about Mike Kosicki?

3:10

I never said Mike Kosicki was a bad play. You're just trying to put one on me with the score of the points, with the game total points. What else did I say was off that you got right? No, I was just giving you a hard time, and they got there in overtime, and it beat you by a point. So I'm just messing with you on that. Exactly.

3:25

I mean, hey, but just like you said, they don't tell you at the counter how it gets there. They just tell you it got there. So my point was not not just me, but we both had some amazing takes. But all we heard after the show was all we heard that Derrick Henry was a horrendous call. And hey, I'm eating my own that. I knew you were still salty about that because you came to me with a screenshot of, man, I can't even remember.

3:51

And then I just sent you that screenshot. I know you've been holding on to that. You obviously got a light up. Oh, it was Marshall Lloyd. MarShawn Lloyd and his amazing day. Yeah, I was definitely off on that. And to your point. Yeah, and the Marshall Lloyd call. Like, come on, man. Come on, man. Bad call. Bad call. I don't know what. I'm not over here pretending like I got everything right at all. So that is certainly not the case.

4:15

I mean, I got a bunch of stuff wrong, as I usually will. I mean, we give takes. That's what's going to happen. And that was my other point is we got so many things right and a few things wrong, but they only want to remember what you got wrong. And, hey, the king, former Titans great, I shouldn't have done it. But, hey, I may be going back to the well again today. Hey, inactives are going to be coming out.

4:36

Appreciate you tuning in as you're drinking that coffee, just getting done with Cracker Barrel, coming home, watching these games. Hey, the inactives are out. We'll talk to them. We're going to go position by position. The boys went game by game this morning. I got my guy. Maddie with me. Hey, but Matt, it was a great week. How was your week, by the way? We didn't even get into it. We didn't get into how your week was. We got week. Now we got week two football.

4:55

How was your week? It was good, man. You know, MLB is winding down. Got a playoff battle going on to, you know, fight to see who gets probably the two seed between Cleveland and the White Sox. So that's been fun. Yeah, man, we got NFL already talk about Deshaun Watson being benched. That's basically been the talk of Cleveland since they announced him as the starter.

5:16

And now you got a lot of reports today coming out that if he doesn't play well today, he's not going to be starting next week at home. And man, I almost want to see what happens if they decide to start Deshaun Watson next week in Cleveland, if they come back, oh, and two with him playing like ass again, because that's, You'll never see a stadium boo their own guy more than next week if that happens. That is true.

5:49

Hey, and I feel like I didn't even mention the other thing that Ham needs to take in. We get some – I'm good in that, and it looks like I'm crashing out again already. That's not a good sign. So, hey, we got to – talking about coffee, we got my guy, Mr. DOB, talking about cracking beers in here. Matt, you got me or no? I got you. We're good. Oh, gosh. Matt, you got me? I got you. You got me?

6:20

Okay, I think I know – Yeah, I think I know what the problem was. All right. I need the hammer. So we got talking about cracking beers. All right. I got the Stone 2.0 point. Oh, pulled up. If you're a member of the nation, head on over there. Now you can get in there. I got it filtered by DraftKings projection. Matt, you can see there we got Brock Purdy at the top of the heat. Thirteen point favorites taken on this Miami Dolphins team.

6:40

He's $6,200 followed by Lamar has a pretty good matchup. His home home home opener this year against the Saints. Followed by Dak. That's going to get a lot of love and OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. Justin Herbert disappointed a lot of people last week. Let's talk about this. I'll say this top tier quarterback. How are you going about the quarterback position today? Yeah, I mean, I think Dak is the highest owned, but he's deservedly going to be. I like Dak the best.

7:06

Considering pricing, he's probably too cheap. He's got easy weapons to pair. A lot to like about that game. A lot to like about Dak here. I know Tambo is really high on Purdy today, and I get that. It should be a spot where San Fran can almost name their number. Similar to what Jacksonville did last week against Cleveland, but can Miami score at all to push San Fran? I'm not sure.

7:31

I'm sure they can score a little bit, but can they score enough, I should say, to push San Fran? If they can, I think San Fran will absolutely smash, and Purdy is the head of that snake. So I like Purdy in tournaments. He's not going to project as well as Prescott, but that's okay. You know, you get a different type of game script and ultimately and suddenly Purdy's the guy you need. Lamar seems pretty safe.

7:56

I don't love this game for offense, so I'm not going out of my way to target Lamar, but as just like an a la carte play, like a guy you can play as a one-off or in stacks, obviously Lamar is that guy. He's rushing upside his back. He's healthy. It's Lamar Jackson. No more needs to be said. Herbert's fine. I'm fine with Herbert, but I'm not going out of my way to play him either. I think the Chargers, I need to see it from them first.

8:22

McConkie's not fully healthy. I think he's a fine play. I'm not going to sit here and say that I don't think he's going to have a good score. I'm just not prioritizing him in my lineups because there's guys that I think put up better scores. So I like Prescott the most. Then probably Purdy, then Lamar, then Herbert. Yeah, good stuff there. Let's talk about some of these quarterbacks that had a phenomenal week last week, now not getting a whole lot of love.

8:48

I'll start with Caleb Williams. He put up, what, fifty-nine points, got up there rushing and passing. I think he was the leading scorer, if I'm not mistaken, on the slate, followed by Josh Allen. They were up there with the aforementioned Lamar and King Henry. How are you attacking Caleb Williams? A lot different matchup today at home, and I believe we also have some weather there in Chicago. Yeah, you kind of nailed it right there with both the matchup and the weather.

9:11

I'm off it. I mean, again, if I were playing one fifty today, I wouldn't be asking them out or anything like that. But playing limited lineups. I'm not playing Caleb. I'm not playing much from this game, honestly. I like the Vikings wideouts. I like the Vikings side a lot more because they seem easier to target. Caleb, I think, proved last week he's always in play. He's rushing upside alone. But I don't like the matchup. I don't like the weather. I'm not going back to chasing that score.

9:43

And I do think he gets some love just because of it. So I think the weather is the big thing for me. It's supposed to get nasty there, and I want to avoid that. Yeah, I think I agree with you as a whole, not getting a whole ton of Caleb. I just have so much respect for Brian Flores' defense. Divisional showdown is not going to be high-scoring like both of those games were last week, the Bears and the Vikings.

10:06

All right, this is the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ construction show. So talk to me about some Milly-type teams. Baker Mayfield taking on his former Browns. I think that is interesting as well. Jordan Love with a much-condensed defense. Um, target pool there, you know, four really receivers to throw to with no true run game to speak of, uh, talk to me about any of those or anybody else that you're looking at.

10:25

If you were playing some of these Milly lineups, you hit the two right there, two guys. I'm really high on two of my favorite QBs on the slate bake and, uh, love. So Baker, I mean, I was high on the Browns D last week. Cause you know, they came back with a majority of the same defense that they had last year, which was a really good D, but, uh, Even though versus good, I think the loss of Myles Garrett can't be understated.

10:50

And then also losing Jim Schwartz really just affected them. They had no life last week. Jacksonville cruised down the field. Three straight drives. You get... Baker, who is going to want to absolutely shove it to Cleveland. What's really interesting about this game from just like a real life perspective, the first game after they made this trade, the Browns played the Panthers. Deshaun Watson didn't play because he was suspended. They played Baker and the Panthers.

11:20

And now Baker has a chance to almost put Watson in the dirt. Like the Browns might bench Watson after today. This might signal the end of the Watson era. And it might be at the hands of Baker Mayfield. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. No, you go ahead. I was going to say, you know this better than anybody, but if there's an NFL quarterback that wants to just shove it up some team's rear end, it's Baker Mayfield.

11:42

That dude plays with a chip on his shoulder. He's going to be talking trash out there. I don't care. People are like, the Browns don't even have any of the same players they used to have. I don't even care. He wants to give it to Jimmy Haslam. He wants to give it to everyone in the Browns organization. Hugh Jackson. All of them. I think they give it to the Browns today. I love Baker in tournaments.

12:02

I think you compare them with Agbuka, Bucky, Godwin, Otton, Burks D. I mean, the Browns are already a shit show, and it's one week into the season. And maybe their defense shows more life today, or maybe their offense shows you know, found something at the end of last week and can move the ball a little bit, which would make Tampa's upside even higher here. I'm in on the Bucs and tournaments.

12:31

And then, yeah, I like the Packers-Jets game as a kind of alternate, you know, alternative off of the Dallas game as a game that could go off in GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. No, I agree with you there.

12:55

That's why I mentioned – I mean, Jordan Love, I was kind of down on him last week, and that was a little bit more because he was playing the Vikings. But you saw the eight-and-some-odd yarder, Christian Watson. Nobody's clicking Christian Watson name this week. Matthew Golden, twelve targets. They're going to pass it. I believe it. Maybe you don't. I don't think they have a run game to speak of. Maybe that's different today against the Jets. But I like Jordan Love.

13:15

The one name that I want to throw out, this is like a – you know, this is a one-fifty, you know, you're playing maybe two or three lineups, but Jacobs Percet. With Mike Wilson and Trey McBride with the Bring-BackIn the NFL, a bring-back is usually a wide receiver, tight end or running back from the team facing your quarterback stack.Pick the bring-back who gains the most when his team falls behind. In football that's usually the opponent's top pass catcher, not a running back who loses carries in a comeback.Full explanation ↗ of a little JSN. I don't hate that. I love the Cardinals today in general, just as far as spread. I think they win. I think they beat Seattle. I like the Cardinals a lot.

13:37

Yeah, I watched a lot of that game last week because I did have Herbert. I mean, their defense was flying around the football. They were getting after that offensive line, got a pick. So, yeah, I think this Cardinals team is good, and they're facing Drew Law. They're my favorite D on the slate. Nice. Any other quarterbacks that we didn't talk, maybe a ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. 13:54

I'm going to bring this one up because I know you've got a little bit of interest in the receiver, but anything on Joe Burrow today? No, I mean, I like Chase a lot, which I know we're in a disagreement on, but it's mostly just because I think he gets the volume, not because I love Cincy's offense. So I'm not going out of my way to play Burrow here. Allen did it last week, but Allen also runs. He's a different type of quarterback.

14:15

Yeah, Superman, yeah. Yeah, I'm not in on Burrow or the Cincy offense, except for Chase, really. Yeah, I mean, Burrow is good enough when healthy, where if he throws four touchdowns against anyone, you're not surprised, but there's a bunch of guys who are in better spots today. Yeah, excellent stuff there. That's the quarterback position. We're going to segue right into Aaron Smith's question. All right, big news in the running back circles today, Matt. We have Jordan Mason headed to the IR.

14:44

So you have a $5,100 Aaron Jones senior on DraftKings, $5,900 over on FanDuel. He's going to get a lot of love. So I want to start there. Aaron Jones seniors. How are you attacking Aaron Jones against this Bears defense, Matt? That is just going to be putrid all season long.

15:02

Yeah I mean two sides of it I really don't like Aaron Jones's chalk ever but he's too cheap and it's in a good spot against a bad defense and he should get the ball a lot so I'm fine with it as we talk about a lot it's not who you play it's how you play it I'm playing you know enough different elsewhere where I can play Jones and you know how I owned is he really going to be like I don't know.

15:28

I don't love playing Jones into chalk. I just also think he's one of the most mispriced and best value plays on the entire slate. Yeah, I mean, I think we agree there that it's a gross click, right? It's tough to click him, but at $5,100 or $5,900, he projects very well. I mean, I just I mean, he's got to get in the end zone, in my opinion, to make it count. He almost had a huge game last week.

15:51

I don't know if you saw that. He kind of like fell down. It didn't look like he got touched, but apparently did that. He ran it about fifty yards away. Against that Packers team. All right, so we got Aaron Jones out of the way. Let's get some of the big boys. Bijan's going to come with a lot of love. Christian McCaffrey.

16:05

Christian McCaffrey's kind of sliding down what I'm seeing as far as OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ goes, just based on the fact that you got Bijan and Derrick Henry so highly owned. People want Javonte in that late game. That's kind of the four bell cows, if you will, that a lot of people are going to play. Talk to me about those four. Yeah, I mean, here's a hot take because he's going to get love, like you just mentioned, Javonte.

16:27

I think he's RB one on this slate when all is said and done. So, yeah, I like, I mean, on Javonte, clearly way, way too cheap, in my opinion, at $6,400. So not ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ that I'm playing Javonte, but I'll be way over the field, which will be, you know, obviously a different approach. Bijan, I liked him more last week because we got the contrarian advantage there. This week, you're not getting that, but it's still Bijan.

16:51

I mean, he's a fate at your own risk every slate. I'm just like, man, I don't know. He's uber pricey. He's going to be the highest owned player on the slate. He still doesn't have a quarterback and. I don't know. I don't like it as much as I did last week. I'm still playing a little bit, but if I were playing one lineup, I think I'd be fading Bijan. That's my contrarian take. Not even that I'd have to play McCaffrey or Henry here.

17:17

I told you how much I like Javonte Williams. I love Bucky. Talked about Aaron Jones. I like expensive wideouts. What about the Kings? Yeah, I like Henry. He's another one. I think he's got real bust potential, and he's going to be highly owned. Don't say that in this chat. These people get mad when you talk about Derrick Henry like that. I'm with you. I'm with you. He clearly does. Even last year, you saw it.

17:44

I mean, this is who he's been for a while now, where he's got huge spike weeks and then has a low floor. Not that I think he's necessarily primed to hit that floor today, but... I'm not overly excited about that game in general. So Henry's a good play, but he's not someone I have to play. Like, I like Javonte more for cheaper, as I just mentioned. I do like Bucky a lot. Yeah, so Tambo was talking about it a little bit on the show this morning.

18:09

I don't know if you watched it, but what do you think about, like, the Saints just putting, like, seven, eight in the box and say, okay – Surratt okay Bateman you beat us I'm not gonna let you know King Henry go for one sixty and three again they might I mean we'll see what kind of defensive schemes they pull out we don't know that I don't know their personnel enough to know like what they're capable of doing there I mean yeah it makes sense but good luck I mean I think Lamar can improvise enough where if they're gonna do that then I want Lamar in the passing game um which we didn't really talk about with the quarterback.

18:48

We'll get to his wide receiver, but he's got a bunch of cheap guys, even if they're guys you don't trust. I could see it. I could just more see like this game plays out slow and Henry's good, but not great. What about – let's go to Pittsburgh. Let's go to New England and Pittsburgh. We got four running backs in this game. The biggest news, in my opinion, Travion Henderson coming back. How does that impact you?

19:12

Are you playing – would you play him in any millies? Do you stand off Henderson and Stevenson? And then on the other side, Rico – I think they called him Dodo last year, Rico Dowdle, and or any – I'm drawing a blank on his name. The other running – Jalen Warren. Jalen Warren, yep, thank you. I'm good on these guys. This is not a game I want much of. I mean, Ramondre is still cheap enough. They obviously don't trust Henderson. So, yeah, I mean, they're all just like mid plays.

19:46

Like it wouldn't be shocking if any of these guys scored twice because that's the NFL. But no one I would play if I were playing one, two, three lineups. Sean, what about some Chubb? Chuba, I know he had one receiving touchdown last week, maybe had another through the air or the ground, but any Chubb love going on the road to Atlanta and to take on this Falcons team? Any love for Chubb today?

20:13

Yeah, I like the idea of flipping the bill and playing Chubb instead of Bijan, like the other side of that game. Gameplay's not different than people think. And Chubb, he's got a good role. He's not the most exciting play, but cog in the machine type that I'm not like overly excited about, but I don't think it's a bad play. Honestly, for me, if I were playing one lineup right now, my two running backs would be Javonte and Aaron Jones. Oh, wow.

20:38

Last question. How many teams would you have to build? I got two questions. How many teams would you have to build to get you any DeAndre Swift shares today? I was dead wrong on that last week. Probably ten or more. Yeah, I mean, he looked explosive. Like, he looked really, really good. This Bears team talked about all offseason and last season, for that matter, how good this offensive line is. I'm scared of this Minnesota defense.

21:05

They got dudes that fly around, but obviously susceptible to the big play. If Ben Johnson can have it his way, they're going to put up thirty-five more plus points. All right, I'm going to give you my hot take of the day.

21:15

Not really a hot take, but a guy that I think could go, that I think could be RB one that's not getting any of the love where he could be And that was the same price of the guy last week that you love, $7,000. Mr. Barkley, Saquon Barkley, love him today. Kind of like the fourth or fifth, I'll call him best running back on this slate.

21:34

Gets to take on this Titans team that just got gashed for about one hundred fifty yards against the Jets. Little concerned that London Dickerson is out, but this Eagles offense should feature Saquon early and often. You want to talk about a guy that can get a buck fifty and two in a heartbeat. I think it's Saquon Barkley. I think he shoots up the leaderboard today and just doesn't get any OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. I get it. I'm off that. I like the Titans in that game.

21:55

I'm not buying the Eagles right now. Yeah, I'm not buying the Eagles. Okay. But to your point, though, the Jets just ran all over them. Saquon does have that, you know, seven-yard touchdown run upside every time he touches the ball. The guy I was going to say right there that I like, especially if you're playing the San Fran guys, is Achane. Really? Left him last week. Yeah, I mean. Just catching some balls? It's tough to trust him, right, because that offense is bad.

22:23

But he's so cheap for his talent level. Yeah. Then I'm going to buy it. And he's going to have a couple of spike games. He's another guy that can take big plays to the house. I'm not like playing him a lot, but I want a little exposure to Ache. And I do. Yeah, I mean, he was seven grand last week. We're talking about Devon. I changed $6,700. That's a great call, Matt. There was numerous times.

22:46

I'm sure you saw it on X as well. You know, after the game where Willis instead of just dumping it off to a chain for at least five times, like it's obviously five points plus the yards. He ran it like. They sat in the film room this week and they said, hey, throw, throw this, throw twenty eight the ball. He's very good. Like God Shane at $6,700. That's a game. That's a way that game could see saw back and forth.

23:07

Love that call from you. One thing I'd be remiss if I don't if I didn't mention him today. I think he's a terrible play today, but interested to get your take. Three touchdown. David Montgomery. How do you think he follows up that performance? I thought it was. Yeah. Just how do you feel like he does today? I'm off. I'm with you. Like, I'm not chasing that. I don't love the Houston offense, except for they're like Dalton Schultz, really cheap.

23:29

But I think since he's defense has improved, this is not a team that I love. So I'm off Montgomery. Yeah, I agree with you, too. And actually, Montgomery, I mean, like if you look at the underlying stats, like had a pretty terrible week. I mean, obviously had three touchdowns, so it's hard to complain with that. But yards per carry was low. He split time with the other running back. So, yeah, I'm with you on that. Excellent stuff there, Matt.

23:51

If nothing else on the running back, let's go to the wide receiver position. We talked a little bit about it a minute ago. These Dallas Cowboys receivers are going to be popular, especially with doubles. The big news, I'll call it the big news, is there's no Zay Flowers. So Rashad Bateman. Dirt cheap Rashad Bateman shoots up the board just based on his price alone. Let's get into the big boys first, then we'll kind of go down into some of the mid-tier guys.

24:16

I know we disagree on a little bit. Justin Jefferson is a great spot against this Bears team. I'm concerned about the weather and some guy named Carlson Wentz. CeeDee Lamb at home should smash. JSN, I'll liken him to Barkley in the sense that he's not going to get a lot of OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ and a guy that can get a . Forty ball any day. And then talk to me about Ja'Marr Chase. I know you're higher on Ja'Marr Chase than I am.

24:38

Yeah, it's just a talent price play for me with Chase. I mean, coming off a bad week one. We saw it last year. He had a bad week one and then responded with like twelve for one forty and a touch in week two. So not saying that that's what he's going to have this week. But for my money, he is the best wide receiver in football. So you got the number one wide out with a healthy top five quarterback.

25:01

It's going to play my odds there coming off a bad week where he was forty some percent owned. Now he's going to be under twenty percent owned. Still one of the highest wide outs. But like basically he's the same ownership as Bijan was last week. And Bijan's the same ownership that he was last week. So their roles are kind of flipped. And this week I like Chase a lot. Tough matchup against Houston.

25:24

I don't expect him to score four touchdowns, but I think he could get easy double-digit targets. And with a guy of his talent level, I'm buying it. You know, after that, it's pickings and land. I love that game. I get your point on JSN, and this is the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ construction show. If I were playing one lineup, I'd find it difficult to play him, but... That's what a lot of people are going to say.

25:49

And that's why he's really viable in tournament type settings because he's pricey. I just, there's so many other good plays on this slate that are in better spots that are cheaper, hard for me to get there. But I understand why you would like JSN more than Chase. For me, it's the reversed. Yeah. I'm a, that's why I'm on the show. Cause I play contrarian. I love some JSN. I said a minute ago, some, some brisket, some brisket, JSN, Michael Wilson, trading broad stacks.

26:15

And then you can, you can jam in a lot of other good things. Well, that's to me, that's the way to flip the build, especially in these, these Milly type makers. I think it's what? $500,000 over on FanDuel today. So I love some JSN. Yeah. I mean, my, my big bet of the day is, is the Bengals under twenty two and a half. Uh, Team total? I mean, I don't think there's any chance they get there.

26:33

I think Burrow laying on his back a lot of the day. Will Anderson, Derek Stanley Jr. I think locks down Chase. Kamari Lassiter was pretty bad last week, but they're also playing Superman on the other side. And you said it either to me earlier on this show is Joe Burrow can't run like Josh Allen. I think there's just going to be too much pressure getting to Burrow. And I'm out on the Bengals and placing a wager on the Bengals. Team total under twenty two and a half.

27:00

All right. Let's go to the next what I'll call the next tier. That includes George Pickens, who I think is going to get a little love. Mike Evans like dynamite in his first game. $6,600. He's $8,200 overall FanDuel, which I don't love over there. But anybody in this next way, Chris Alavi had a really good game late. He's $7,200. Talk to me about this kind of next tier of receivers that we got.

27:23

Yeah, the next year, I don't want to say it's like a dead zone, but. A little bit tough just because I feel like the you know the lamb Pickens chase tier is just far better than the next guys that said like olave was uber productive last week and he's just gonna get fed the rocks I think he's in play every week even with a price bump davante smith is interesting to me I think he's going to have a really big year.

27:51

It didn't happen last week, but it's overreaction week. So I kind of like the idea of going back to Devante Smith. He's on my short list. Ibuka is the other guy here. Like I like Tampa. He's the clear number one there right now. Yeah. One guy I wanted to ask you about that. This is a game I can't get a great read on is Jalen Waddle. Thoughts there? Jalen Waddle. Don't, I don't love Jalen Waddle. He's, he's, he's high. He's high priced.

28:24

He's what? $6,500, $6,700 on FanDuel. Obviously a better price over on FanDuel, man. I mean, you, me, the whole world watched that game on Monday night and, and that offense like Davis Webb was just out of his element, you know, trying to call a defense, you know, offense against spags is defense. It just didn't work out with that being said, To me, he's their best receiver. He's better than Copeland Sutton.

28:45

He's better than Pat Bryant at this point in his career. No R.J. Harvey, which R.J. Harvey was the third down back that caught several passes. They got to feed Waddle the ball. He's their best player. But with that being said, he's too overpriced on DraftKings, much more palatable, in my opinion, on FanDuel. But I'll segue right into it. To me, Parker Washington is a smash play. I love Parker Washington.

29:13

I think he's going to get, I mean, we're showing eleven percent OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ right now. Seven and a half percent over on Fando. I think he shoots up. He's just too good, Matt. Like he had like five for eighty five in a touchdown last week. Then they just took the foot on the gas and stopped passing. And he like, in essence, stopped playing. So, man, I love me some Parker Washington. Interested to get your take on that.

29:35

Honestly, I don't have a strong take on him because I don't know what to make of this game. Because I first leaned the Jags. They looked real good in week one. But man, like... Now they're going to Denver, which is always a tough place to play. And they're coming off beating Cleveland. And I think Cleveland could be the type of team that like the next week teams aren't as good because Cleveland so easy. Like Cleveland just doesn't provide any level of competition really.

30:03

So the Jaguars, Jags might struggle today facing a much better team, a much more desperate team at home. That doesn't mean I don't like Washington. I'm just kind of talking this game out because I'm really not sure how it's going to play out. Because all that being said, I do think the Jags are the better team here. And on a neutral field, I'd like the Jags.

30:22

Yeah, I'm kind of buying Trevor Lawrence as like a guy who I think could take the next step. You talk about Parker Washington. I like their weapons. And I think their defense is at least not bad. So I'm torn on this game. This is one game I'm really, really torn on. Yeah, I got a bunch of Parker Washington. Not a lot of Waddle. Do have a lot of Emeka Abuka. Let's touch on the Panthers receivers real quick.

30:47

Ted McMillan, who had a – you know, I'll call it a bad game, but I still think he got like ten or twelve. That included a fumble. You know, left some meat on the bone there. Jalen Coker really stood out last week, obviously. And he's still – he's still cheap. Let's see what his price tag is. $5,100 for Jalen Coker or – $6,100 for Ted McMillan. Talk to me about either one of those guys.

31:13

Yeah, tough not to at least have some interest in Coker after his monster week one, but also the idea of going back to Ted, who is their clear number one is interesting. I mean, it's the type of thing where you're kind of unsure right now because if.

31:30

Believing in coker then you're still buying low on him as far as price tag goes like if the revolt if the roles are like reversed of what people think coming into the year and coker is like really the top dog there then he's just too cheap I don't think that's that so I'm willing to go to tat and truth be told I don't love this game for offense but I think both are in play I mean bryce isn't great but he's good enough to move the ball down the field Yeah, I have – I mean, just based on price, I have more Coker than I do Tet this week, but I think both are fine.

32:01

We haven't gotten to the defenses yet, but I'm going to talk about the defenses when we get over there. I agree with you, Sean. I think Liam Cohen coming in, he's definitely helped his career. I mean, probably saved it as well. I mean, he had that donkey, Doug Peterson, trying to coach him up, and now he's got Liam running the gun on that offense.

32:17

Any other receivers – Just looking through here, ooh, I got one I want to talk about before we go on, but Luther Bird and T. Higgins. Let's talk about, and then DK Metcalf. I know you like DK Metcalf, $5,200 bucks, and tell us all the reasons why you do. I certainly get it, especially after last week, but talk to me a little bit about DK Metcalf. There's only one reason I like him. And the reason is targets. I hate the matchup.

32:43

Christian Gonzalez is an elite corner in my opinion. So I'm not like planning my flag on DK, but he's so cheap for a true number one. That's going to be force fed the rock. He didn't have a good week one, but he had ten targets. Only caught four of them. Even with Christian Gonzalez. We know Aaron Rodgers doesn't care. He's going to throw to his guy. Metcalf is his guy. I think he could easily get there at $5,200. And he's another guy popular last week.

33:07

Won't be as much this week. I like that. I like, you know, that trend is something I like to buy into. Yeah, no, I get it. And I think something I saw or read, like he led the league in air yards, too, and dropped a sixty yarder or had a sixty yarder in his hands bounce out or something like that. So I certainly get it. But, man, this Patriots defense, Hoops said they played a month ago.

33:26

They played so long ago that defense is rested, ready to get after Aaron. Aaron can't really get around anymore. I think it's going to be a long day for the Steelers, including DK. DK, I'm assuming you have DK over Jalen Coker, .五二百 versus .五一百. I do, but that's not what I feel. Like, I don't feel that much conviction about that. All right, I'm going to give you two. Well, I'm going to give you three now that I see this.

33:51

I'm going to give you three names that I like for large field GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Full explanation ↗ tournaments. You ready? And tell me if I'm crazy in any of this. One, Rashad Bateman. Yeah, definitely get that. I mean. Yeah, Rashad Bateman. He's too cheap. $4,400 bucks. You know, wide receiver one in air quotes there. $5,000 on fan. Don't think he's a play. Oh, I'm scared to say this, but I'm going to go there anyway. Carnell Tate, $5,100 bucks. I don't know why.

34:20

I just like him. He looked decent last week. Big target. If they if they get anywhere near the red zone, I think they look for him. Carnell Tate. And then the last one I want to I want to mention to you. It's a gross play, Matt, but this is a ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ show. $6,000. If you're fading Bijan, why not some Drake London at home? Against this defense that just got torched by this Bears team?

34:45

Well, the simple answer would be Cooper Rush, right? Like, that's why not. But to your point, yeah. Like, from the game theory perspective, yeah, why not? I mean – you're also counting on Cooper Rush if you play Bijan. So I'm with you. I love that game theory play. All of them make sense to me. Yeah. I think Drake, I think Drake, what is he? Sixty seven over on FanDuel. Man, he's or seventy seven, seventy seven on FanDuel. $6,000. Man, he could cut up, but.

35:14

Whatever that guy's name is, not whatever J.C. Horn or whoever their quote-unquote good corner is. Give me some Drake at home. I love that play in deep field GPPs. Any other receivers that we didn't touch on? Trey Tucker of the world. Yeah, go ahead. I got one. Cheap guy. I'm going to – man, I'm not even being a homer here. I've talked so much shit on Cleveland.

35:36

Clearly, people don't think I'm actually being a homer, but – the young wideouts both looked good last week. Boston caught the late touchdown, but they both separated really well. And like, if you look at like average separation score and stuff, Concepcion graded out really well. And I love him at $4,100. He's the type of guy that can break a big play in like my Tampa stacks.

35:59

I think running it back with him makes sense because you need something from Cleveland to get that game going a little bit. And Concepcion or Fannin because Tampa also your sickie call. We'll get to tight end, but Concepcion at forty. No, I didn't have any good calls, Matt. Last week. Don't talk about the good stuff I did. Thirty-one percent in basketball, too, by the way, for those people saying I didn't have any. Love that for you. Basketball bro over here.

36:27

We'll see if you're playing him again this week in a little bit. But, yeah, KC Concepcion. KC Concepcion. What about this, Matt? You want to talk about just the hoop special, just onslaught, win a melee special. Buccaneers onslaught with a Concepcion and Boston or fan and bring back. Yeah, don't think I'm not playing a little bit of that. I mean, listen, it's the NFL. All this talk, I mean. Baker wants to score. I'm just going to say this.

36:57

I'm going to throw this right back at you. You think you're crazy? Why not to Sean Watson? Oh! Get that chip on your shoulder to Sean and say, okay, Baker, I'll show you up. I'll put forty on you. I mean, Concepcion takes a couple to the crib. I've seen crazier things. Concepcion had a really bad day yesterday. You want to know why? And I'm lost. I know that. Oh, NC State. And NC State. And he started his career at NC State.

37:29

My boy, KC Concepcion, had a bad, bad day. Those Commodores were anchoring down over there on West End. It was nuts. So, KC Concepcion, I don't even know what you want to call that spot. But, yes, KC Concepcion, man, he had a bad day yesterday. He's going to be on one for sure. And, like, honestly, he did nothing last week. He still finished with nine fantasy points. And he had, like, two or three rushes as well, didn't he? Like, they're going to get him the rock.

37:55

It's the same thing I talked about last week. Like, he's electric. My boy Khalif Raymond out there cutting up. I don't see anything else. Makai Lemon. The good news for Makai Lemon, it can only go up. You can't get any worse than negative five yards. Sure. Last, last receiver. I've seen a lot on X this week because of the game. I know we're spending way too much time on receiver, but Antonio Williams, $4,400 played twelve plays last week.

38:24

I think had like five catches, forty yards and a touchdown. So he graded out amazing in the place he was on the field and I'm buying him to him long term.

38:36

Man I don't know if I can play him in DFS this week because I think he's he might be over owned because of his last week and he just didn't play enough uh I mean we didn't talk about him I know we texted last week but McLaurin there's got to be a guy that's in play here like the opposite of Antonio Williams just because like I was victim of it myself you know just the overreaction and mcclure did not look good last week and I'm not going to be shocked if um you know, McLaurin just takes a big step back and Antonio Williams like emerges because Antonio Williams right now is behind like the oldest wide out room in the league with Diggs and McLaurin.

39:13

But I just don't know if this is the week I want to buy into it. I'm torn with Antonio Williams. I want your take there. And then I also love Nate's take about Flournoy. I think that's a real cheap and easy way to get different in what will be. And he played a bunch last week. I mean, they talked about him a lot. He's not a good dude, but Stefan Diggs can still play football in the NFL. Like he was, he was good last week.

39:35

He's a bonehead. Good. Right. And he jumped on the thing and made him go back. So he like does stupid things that will kill your real life football team, but he makes plays in DFS. He's like a part-time player. Now he's still really good. McClure. The thing I like about McClure. And like, if, like you, if you're betting on Dak, like you want McClure to take the top off of like a seventy six yard bomb to get this thing really going.

39:56

So, Yeah, I don't hate that. We'll get to Flournoy, and I have the Texans. Then we will move on. But the Texans, no Nico Collins, an aging Dalton Schultz, no run game to speak of, in my opinion. But talk to me, anything outside of my internet being booty, any Kayshaun booty, Xavier Hutchinson, Jalen Null, and some guy named Louis Bond, anybody that you like in this group. Nah. I mean, I think for me, it would be Boutte, but I'm good. I mean, still acclimating himself there.

40:33

I'm good. I've always been, I thought he was, I've always been a fan of his though. Yeah. I mean, no, he was, he was a stud in college. You remember his like first year at LSU? Yeah. He like, and then he just went South quick. It's crazy. It's weird that he's just like a mid wide out in the NFL because I feel like those guys usually are either amazing or they're out of the league. He's just mid.

40:55

Speaking of LSU, I don't know if you stayed up and watched that game last night, but that was a heck of a college football game if you watched the Lane Bowl. One of my only good calls from yesterday, Ole Miss. All right. I promise the last thing on receiver, then we'll get to tight end and defense and get out of here and build the rest of our lineups. Ryan Flournoy, third, eight hundred bucks. A great way to get into this game.

41:14

Seven point projection. Obviously, no one's going to play him. He's coming in sub-two percent because they want the big boys. But a great way to get a piece of this game. Are you fine stacking all three receivers? Would it be Lamb, Pickens, Lamb or Pickens and Flournoy? How are you going about playing Ryan Flournoy today? It's a good question.

41:32

I mean, when you say am I fine with it, yeah, I think if you're like way over stacking it, Not many people will play Lamb, Pickens, and Flournoy. So because of that, I'm fine with it. That said, that's not like an optimal build for me because there's so much opportunity cost in playing no other wide receivers on the slate, really. You know, like that's what it is for me. It's not even that I don't think those three could get there.

41:58

It's that you're undercutting every other receiver on the slate to play those three. That's where I struggle with it. But I love the idea of playing him with one of the big two, And, you know, or maybe in a big Washington stack only playing Florida, you know, there's certainly ways where that gets there. Florida is interesting to me, though, for sure. Yeah, he can obviously shake, shake things up. Right. Yeah, we'll get to tight end.

42:26

Phantom's asking about Ferguson and he's also in play. We saw Goedert have a big day against the Commanders last week. Yeah, I'm interested to talk about that because I want to get your take. All right, good stuff. Matt, spent a little more time on receiver than we wanted to, but let's get into the tight end position. Once again, Mark Andrews, now he elevates into – The four, he elevates into the wide receiver one role at $4,400 $5,200 over on FanDuel.

42:50

Does he have any tread left on the tires? My boy, Colston Loveland, $5,000 on DraftKings, $5,800 on FanDuel. I love me some Colston Loveland. Great singer as well. Michael, I was calling him Meyer last week. So apologies to the to the Mayer family. Michael Mayer, former Notre Dame great. To me, that's kind of the head of the class. And obviously, Trey McBride, I didn't mention him.

43:13

Uh let's start there and then any and then we'll get into some more tight ends as well yeah so I like mayor a lot um you know still cheap not as cheap as he was but yeah still in the same role won't get as much love my problem with loving him is the guy that's cheaper Dalton Schultz I mean I think he's the guy you see really pick up a lot of nico's work so do I love playing Schultz no but Nico being out for them is similar to Bowers being out for mayor.

43:42

Schultz is even cheaper. You get Stroud instead of Kirk Cousins. Like they're both similar to me. I think they both look really good. Those are the two guys. I think you get it. You get a downgrade going from Stroud to Cousins. That's what you meant, right? Yeah, I mean, as much as I want to talk bad about Stroud. No, you're an Ohio State guy. You can't talk bad about one of your own. That's what I mean.

44:12

I don't know if I'd ever be able to rock this sweatshirt again if I said Cousins is better than Stroud. But I think they look really similar. Who was the other guy you said at the top of the class for you? I mean, the projection class. Yeah, Loveland and Mark Andrews would have been the top of the projection class. Yeah, I mean, you got Andrews in a similar spot without, say, Flowers. He's more expensive. But yeah, like you talked about the Ravens wideouts.

44:40

I think Andrews is a guy that could pick up a lot of it. After, like, Mayer and... For me, Schultz, it's mostly like guys I want to play in stacks. So Tucker Kraft would love – you know, McBride is the exception. He's the – you know, Lamar Jackson. You can just play him as a one-off all the time. But, you know, we got Ferguson asked about. He's in play in that Game StackIn the NFL, a game stack usually combines a quarterback, one or two of his pass catchers and one or more players from the opposing offense.Target games where the spread is close as well as the total high. A high total with a lopsided spread can turn into a blowout where only one side keeps scoring.Full explanation ↗. Yeah, tight ends decently deep today.

45:07

I got one for you, and I learned this from my guy Tambo about how you did a little flip-a-roo, dunk-a-roo. What about this? Matt, instead of going Lamar Andrews, you go Lamar, Bateman, Jawan Johnson as the Bring-BackIn the NFL, a bring-back is usually a wide receiver, tight end or running back from the team facing your quarterback stack.Pick the bring-back who gains the most when his team falls behind. In football that's usually the opponent's top pass catcher, not a running back who loses carries in a comeback.Full explanation ↗ and not Olave or Vele. How do you feel about Jawan Johnson going up against this Ravens team? I like that call because Juwan Johnson did nothing, like, for three quarters last week and then ultimately, like, was really good in the fourth and OT.

45:38

Maybe they found something there, continued to feed him the rock. I'm sure Baltimore tries to take Olave away. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not, like, a huge Vele guy, so I think you could easily play Johnson there. It's a good call. Yeah, I like Johnson there. Fant played like eighteen snaps and it was very annoying that he got that touchdown at the end. But I mean, Johnson out, out, out, snapped him out, ran way more routes than he did, got more targets as well.

46:02

So I love me some Jawan Johnson, especially in Lamar stacks over there. Some more tight ends that I'm looking at. George Kittle and Brock Purdy stacks. I don't hate that. Give me your take on TJ Hawkins. No, no. Jawan Jennings, third and Jawan, former UT great. He's out today for personnel. Talk to me about TJ Hawkins. Any love there? I was looking at him a little bit. I don't hate it.

46:27

I struggle to like have much confidence in it, but I think he's like a fine pivot off of Mayer and Schultz. Like he catches a tutty. Maybe he outscores those guys and that's where the advantage comes in. Just looking at this, Dalton Schultz projects way worse than Mark Andrews, but you said it a minute ago. I think you said it. They're both in the same spot. They're both wide receiver one.

46:51

To me, that just tells me Mark Andrews is a much better play than Dalton Schultz, in my opinion. I understand that you're getting a twelve hundred dollar savings there as well. Nades, if Nades is still out there, Nades had something good to say on the morning show. Evan Ingram. At $5,000, any love for not $5,000, $3,300, $5,000 on FanDuel. Evan Ingram had five catches and a tutty last week. Very good catch in Kansas City.

47:15

Any love for Evan Ingram today? I think he's fine. I think he kind of belongs in that. Like if I'm stacking that game, I don't know, though, like playing them as a one off over the other guys seems suboptimal to me personally. So I'm off him. All right, Davis and Joku, I texted you on Wednesday or Thursday and said, oh, something's wrong with the Ship It Nation projections. We got in Joku for like fourteen points.

47:40

He played, I'm not going to say a bunch of snaps. I'm not going to any Chargers tight ends. There's just three of them. Aranda Gadsden is a pass catcher as well in Joku. But any love for any of these Chargers tight ends? Nah, not with McConkie probably playing like. No. Do you want to play the Chargers tight ends? I don't. I want to play Ladd, maybe some QJ, and then run it back with a Mayer. That's how I'm playing my Chargers stacks.

48:08

I dig it. Any other tight ends? I quickly glazed over Kittle at .四ty-six hundred. I like him in Brock stacks. Are you back on Kittle, or do you still think they're kind of working him back in? Yeah, I don't know what to make of Kittle here. I think that kind of remains to be seen. Do you think he's like full go here? I mean, yeah, he's seen full go last week.

48:26

I mean, I know he played – I don't know the exact snap percentage in front of you, but, you know, a little bit of a fifty-plus percentage. They controlled that game. You said it at the opening. It's like I need an odd-chain, eighty-six-yard touchdown run to start the game to really get this puppy rolling, you know. So when he's in there, when he's in there, they're a much better running team and they can obviously pass it better with him.

48:50

And I don't have stats to back this up. I just feel like he's always playing better at home as well. I mean, I think he plays very well at home, but he plays very well on the road too. So I like Kittle, but only in Brock stacks. Yeah, I get that. I mean, I don't think he's a bad play. I just, yeah. I mean, I think he's going to be ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ if nothing else. So it makes sense. Yep. Yep. All right.

49:11

Headed to the defense. I got three defenses that I'm targeting today. Matt got some, got some cheap ones, got some expensive ones. I think a lot of people, are going to get to the Panthers today. They're $2,700. The Buccaneers, they're thirty six. That's kind of pricey. But talk to me about these defenses. How are you playing these defenses? Yeah, the first two Ds that stand out to me are the Buccaneers because it's the Browns.

49:34

Insert D against Deshaun Watson on the Browns here. And then the Jags because I just think they're way too cheap against Bo Picks. We know that he likes to throw interceptions. The Jags are... I like the Jags. I mean, they're a good team. And I think $2,400 for them is a joke. So those are the first two I look at. But then... Give us your favorite. Yeah, let's go. I want to hear it. Arizona, man.

49:58

Drew Locke on the road, $2,500. They were flying around last week. They're a home dog coming off winning on the road as the biggest dog of the week last week. Give me all the Arizona here. Yeah. You don't think Drew Locke's going to put on for a city today and run? No. No, he's not going to do that Jeezy. And I will say, real quick, Nades, real good call. No Harley does help Ingram.

50:22

So, like, I think playing him over Schultz or Mayer is fine. Like, he probably belongs in that crew with no Harley. Good call. Yeah. All right. I got some defenses. I want to run past you. All right. First up is going to be the Patriots. I love the Patriots today. I said it earlier. They got ten-plus days of rest. They got Aaron Rodgers, who hand moves better than Aaron Rodgers. I think Christian Gonzalez has locked down DK Metcalf. These running backs, I don't know.

50:49

I love the Patriots today. I think they get a lot of sacks, strip sacks, fumbles, and A-Rod has a long day betting the Patriots as well to cover that spread. My second one, it's not very often you get this Houston Texans defense at $3,000 on DK, $4,000. They got lit up last week, but they were playing Superman. I think this is a different animal.

51:10

Joe Burrow, he does have running ability, but I don't think he's going to get, you know, he doesn't have Josh Allen-esque running ability. So give me some Texans at $4,000 over on FanDuel. And then Matt, this is a gross one, but at home, AJ Terrell is active. Give me some Falcons against Bryce Young, the five, ten Bryce Young Falcons. Talk to me about that one. Any love for that Falcons or is that a bad pick? I mean, no, especially like paired with Bijan.

51:42

I don't think it's a bad pick. D is so random. It's hard for me to say any play is a bad play because it's either a good play on paper and it's going to get OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ or it's not. And it's not going to get ownership and defense is so random that it makes it a good play. I think just inherently getting different with defense makes it a good play. Don't you? Yeah.

52:01

I mean, I see, I mean, I know there's a lot of randomness that goes in there to it, but I mean, I love the Bengals defense last week and they were the, you know, them and the Steelers were the two highest. I think there's some, you know, there's some, I'll call it skill that goes into it. And those are the three that I think are going to cut up today.

52:14

Hopefully we get a Bengals result out of one of those and we're at the top of the leaderboard. Any other defenses that you want to touch on before we get on out of here? I like Arizona a lot. Talked about Jacksonville. I like Denver too, like at home, other side of that game. I think both these are too cheap there. Could see both teams turning it over. I like Lawrence a lot, but just a tough spot for Jacksonville. So, yeah. Tough spot for Jacksonville.

52:35

This is an NFL show, Matt, but I want your two home run calls of the day. Give me the two guys when the dust settles and the smoke clears that are going to be in that Winner's Circle on the Mills leaderboard. If you need me to go first, I can give you one first. Yeah, you go first. All right. I said it earlier. I love this guy. He's going to smash. He's in the Mile High City. Mr.

53:00

Parker Washington about to cut up on them boys. A hundred plus yard bonus. $5,900. $6,600. Parker Washington smashes today. Wait. So you said who was your first guy? Well, Parker Washington only gave you one. Yeah, I was going to say, I thought you gave two, but it was just one. Okay. Yeah, I'm going to come back. Once you give one, then I'll come back over the top. All right.

53:27

We are going to go with – this is tough because I feel like most of the guys I like are kind of popular. But, yeah, no, I got to say it because I was so high on him when I talked about it earlier. The guy that breaks the slate that you're just going to need is Javonte Williams. And then – the LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ guy that I think puts up. Fifteen plus KC Concepcion. KC Concepcion. All right. I'm going to give you, I'm going to give you one.

53:54

I'm going to give you, well, I'll give you one. All right. I was going to say Bijan Robinson, but that's cheating. But Matt, this, think about this for a second. I think about this. The Carolina Panthers gave up. Two hundred and eighty-five yards rushing a week ago. Now we get B. John at home coming off of hundred and fifty plus yards. B. John Robinson is going to smash this Panthers. The that I like him as a ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Full explanation ↗ off of D. Hen, Derrick Henry.

54:25

I'm going to say a half, maybe even a quarter of the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. Saquon Barkley. Give me some Saquon Barkley. Penn State's finest. I love me some Saquon today. Anything else, Matt? That's all I got, man. Always fun doing these shows. Can't wait till next Sunday. Can't wait till next Sunday. I can't wait till I get ten things right and the one thing I say goes wrong and the chats just hammer me.

54:51

And if you want to make some money today, Matt, take out a second mortgage under twenty two and a half for the Bengals team. Total Joe Burrow. It's hard to throw Matt when you're lying on your back. It's hard to throw back there. That'll do it for me. Good luck in those contests. We hope to see at the top of the leaderboard. Come back tonight. At six p.m. Eastern Standard Time with my boy Nades and I.

55:12

Break it all down with a Sunday sweat down. Good luck. We'll see you at the top. Let's shipping.
