NFL DFS Week 7 Contrarian Constructions | Main Slate DraftKings & FanDuel Roster Construction

Aired Sun Oct 25, 2026 Hosts NFL DFS Week 7 Contrarian Constructions: Matthew Belman & Ryan Davenport Runtime 1:06:07 Chapters 17 Views 852

The Short Version

Matthew Belman and Ryan Davenport break down Week 7 tournament builds around ownership, salary and quarterback pairings. Joe Burrow ($6,900) with Ja'Marr Chase is a preferred stack, with Derrick Henry as the opposing piece. Bucky Irving ($6,100) gets the strongest running back tournament endorsement against Carolina, although the show disagrees on prioritizing him over cheaper backs. Braelon Allen leads the value discussion with Breece Hall out, while Jordan Love's ownership draws split opinions.

Amon-Ra St. Brown closes as a favorite play, with Puka Nacua also preferred as a standalone receiver over Chase. Tetairoa McMillan and Christian Watson offer lower-owned alternatives to their teammates. Cheap Tampa Bay receivers and Cade Otton help fund expensive builds, while Trey McBride gets support as a tight end spend. Atlanta is a shared defensive value; Detroit generates a lengthy debate as leverage against popular Green Bay passing stacks.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
Titans DST ONE-OFF Supported again against Deshaun Watson on the road because of his poor play through much of games. 2:21
UNDERWEIGHT Opinions are split: the explicit underweight position cites Josh Jacobs returning and Detroit regaining Brian Branch, while the opposing view calls Love the best quarterback play. 7:12
Jared Goff + Detroit Pass Catchers IN PLAY Build Goff stacks with Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta or Amon-Ra St. Brown rather than prioritizing Jahmyr Gibbs as the pairing. 7:36
Opinions remain split between a low-owned large-field tournament shot with cheap receivers and avoiding him because of poor early play and his injured hand. 9:05
Joe Burrow + Ja'Marr Chase TOP STACK A preferred pairing already included in a core, with a competitive Baltimore game offering passing and touchdown upside. 10:37
VALUE At $5,000, the Arizona matchup and potential rushing production support using him, with particular enthusiasm for FanDuel. 12:56
J.J. McCarthy + Malik Nabers + Isaiah Likely IN PLAY Nabers is the preferred McCarthy pairing and adding Likely is viable, while using McCarthy without a receiver is floated as a less common construction. 15:11
LEVERAGE Lower expected ownership than McCaffrey and a salary $1,300 below Gibbs make him an appealing alternative among the premium backs. 19:15
UNDERWEIGHT When forced to omit one premium running back in single entry, his $9,800 salary is the reason to leave him out while preserving money for receivers. 19:27
Opinions split between embracing his $7,600 price and expected receiving work and leaving him out of a single-entry build because San Francisco's depleted offense could limit his ceiling. 19:54
VALUE The preferred value back at $5,900 with Breece Hall out, supported by confidence in his talent and the Miami matchup. 21:47
Joe Burrow Stack + Derrick Henry BRING-BACK Henry is the natural opposing piece for Cincinnati stacks because of his touchdown upside in a potentially back-and-forth game. 24:37
LEVERAGE A strong tournament endorsement uses him against attention on Tampa Bay's receivers, though opinions differ on taking him over cheaper backs. 27:08
UNDERWEIGHT Still playable, but difficult to prioritize over the premium backs and cheaper value options when also paying for receivers. 28:10
UNDERWEIGHT His upside is acknowledged, but the preferred expensive backs and value backs leave little room for him. 28:10
Workload and a double-digit favorite's touchdown opportunities support him, but the discussion questions his talent and shifts toward Allen or Pollard. 28:39
Opinions remain split between using his $5,300 salary without Tyjae Spears and avoiding him against Cleveland's defensive front. 29:02
An interesting $5,500 option if Miami beats expectations against the Jets while attention goes to Allen on the other side. 30:16
FADE Rejected because he has not looked good and there is little confidence in Cleveland in this matchup. 31:14
Vikings Running Backs FADE Explicitly excluded from the running back options. 31:14
A 150-lineup FanDuel option at $5,500 with 14.7% exposure disclosed, but opinions split over trusting the Rams' offense and his secondary role. 33:21
ONE-OFF Preferred over Chase as a standalone receiver because his target volume can produce a big score without requiring quarterback touchdowns. 34:59
ONE-OFF A preferred standalone receiver because of his reception volume, and a favorite play in the closing picks. 34:59
LEVERAGE A direct way to get different from the more popular Coker with only a small perceived gap between their prospects. 36:40
LEVERAGE Expected to draw much less ownership than Matthew Golden despite a small perceived difference in their appeal. 36:40
C.J. Stroud + Nico Collins IN PLAY Collins remains the preferred Stroud target at $7,200, with Houston's passing game offering an alternative to relying on its rushing attack. 37:09
Bryce Young + Jalen Coker + Tetairoa McMillan IN PLAY The Carolina double stack is supported for tournaments, although opinions differ on preferring it to Green Bay's combination. 38:05
ONE-OFF Preferred to Chase as a standalone option because of his price and less touchdown-dependent scoring profile, while also fitting Burrow stacks. 38:44
LEVERAGE A favored tournament receiver expected to draw very little ownership after showing touchdown upside on limited catches. 39:11
Bo Nix + Jaylen Waddle IN PLAY Waddle is the preferred Denver receiver to pair with Nix in a matchup expected to let the offense move the ball. 40:26
VALUE His $4,300 salary and reception-based floor make him a cheap way to fill a receiver spot. 41:18
FADE Explicitly rejected after repeated disappointment, with Jordan Watkins preferred among cheap San Francisco receivers. 43:09
LEVERAGE A 150-lineup option whose reception and touchdown upside is considered undervalued by the field, rather than a high-conviction play. 43:40
VALUE At $3,000, his rapport with Mayfield supports using him to save salary, with a clearly acknowledged risk of scoring nothing. 44:30
A viable cheap pivot in Tampa Bay's receiving group, but the discussion emphasizes that he and Hurst both have very low floors. 44:51
FADE Rejected for this slate because Houston is rotating too many receivers. 44:51
Bo Nix + Courtland Sutton IN PLAY Sutton's red-zone role makes this a deep 150-lineup option at his $4,700 salary, despite limited enthusiasm for his reception volume. 45:19
FADE Rejected because of the Ward coverage matchup and insufficient trust in Cam Ward delivering the ball. 45:46
FADE Explicitly rejected along with the appeal of his game environment. 47:44
A $3,000 option for 150-lineup builds after Calvin Ridley is ruled out, with additional snaps expected. 48:43
VALUE His $3,100 salary, Mayfield's return and Emeka Egbuka's absence support a best-tight-end-play endorsement despite initial skepticism. 50:06
PAY UP The preferred expensive tight end over Bowers because of repeated double-digit target games and injuries in Denver's secondary. 55:17
Falcons DST VALUE A shared favorite at $2,200 against a depleted San Francisco offense, with returning defensive backs improving Atlanta's outlook. 58:04
Texans DST UNDERWEIGHT Opinions split between trusting the pass rush against McCarthy and moving away from a popular defense with both starting safeties missing. 58:52
Cardinals DST Floated at $2,400 primarily as a bet against Bo Nix, with limited conviction despite an active performance the previous week. 59:48
Lions DST A strongly debated contrarian option against popular Love stacks, with pass-rush optimism opposed by concerns about the secondary and the need for defensive touchdowns. 1:00:44
Broncos DST PAY UP The expensive defense is supported for its pass rush against Arizona's offensive line, with Jonathon Cooper returning despite secondary injuries. 1:04:11

Clear for liftoff. What is going on, Ship It Nation YouTube station? We are back with another edition of the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. I got Matt in here with me as well, and it's going to be a great Week seven. It already was a great Week seven. We had a good game on Thursday night. We just had a pick in the game with the Saints. Hey, welcome in.

1:01

We're going to talk about ways to get you all the way up to win that Milly over on DK today. And I promise you one thing, we put it We put it into effect immediately. Matt doesn't know it yet, but he will not be allowed to give out any more Cam Moore takes on this show. No more, Matt. You can't do it. You cannot tell the people to play Cam Moore. What's going on, my man? How's your Week going?

1:24

I had to get one in early on you. Hey, I'll take it. I mean, he stinks. He's atrocious. They won, though. They won. In the same breath that you're going to just pile on me for Cam Ward, which I'll accept. I got nothing to fight back with you on that. I'm going to give you all the props in the world for the Tennessee decall last Week, which was needed in the winter. I think we texted about them a little bit. I told you I liked your points.

1:54

They were so cheap. And I think we can go right back to them this Week against the Browns. I mean, Deshaun Watson is a road favorite. I'm a believer in four to a certain extent, but man, he has not been a good quarterback for the first. I'll give you a funny stat. For the first three quarters, Deshaun Watson is last in QBR in the NFL. In the fourth quarter, he's ninth. So all the Browns wins have been comeback wins.

2:21

Watson has been amazing in the fourth quarter, and I'm buying it a little bit, but same breath, like last for the first three quarters. So I think we can go right back to Tennessee D here. Yeah, they're going to be popular for sure. We'll get right into that. And I was watching that game last Week, man. It looked like the Ravens had like fifteen dudes out there on the field. They were just sacking Watson left, sacking him right. He was scrambling for his life.

2:44

They didn't really get much going. I can't wait. They won that game. I can't believe they won that game. Like I'm with you at halftime here. People were talking about like they should bring in Shador for the second half. They ended up looking a lot better in the second half and winning the game in the fourth quarter. Oh, gosh. I haven't seen Titletown in here in seven weeks. Now he wants to come hammer him because Ham said, don't play Tony Pollard.

3:11

TP season, he says. Spears is inactive. Oh, man. So, yeah, we got to get some inactives. That's good to know. I think Brees Hall is going to be inactive if somebody in chat can let us know there. So, Matt, I don't know if you were on the show or listened to the show this morning, but – I said imagine Clayton Tony Pollard and Title said, all right, Ham, I'm going to double his exposure. So that's where that comes from. But what's your take?

3:37

Is it TP season for you with no Spears? Or are we going with that Malik Collins, freshly minted Malik Collins in that Browns defense? Hey, don't get me all excited talking about that newly minted Sirmon Lee Collins, who is a monster inside. That said, I'm kind of indifferent towards it. You know what I mean? I think you could play TP like no Spears helps. The Browns D is real, though.

3:57

So like I like Tennessee in this game because I don't think the Browns should be a road favorite against anyone right now. I don't think that it's a game where I expect a lot of points. Like all that said, we're playing an OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Yeah, I think he'll come in a little bit higher round.

4:15

I feel like both Braylon Allen and Woods Marks are going to be higher round, so that just vultures all that ownership. And then the higher priced guys, you know what I mean? Yeah, and I think Tony Pollard a great play. I think he's a phenomenal play today, actually. Really good play. If you're looking for a running back to get you like seven points, I think Tony Pollard your guy. Go ahead and jam him in there.

4:35

I would probably lock him in if you're looking for seven points. Tony Pollard your guy. Tony Pollard your guy. If you're looking for seven points, play him. But if you want seventeen, he's not your guy. So, I was being facetious, Matt. So, I'm out on Pollard. I don't care who's in or out, but I do want to get some of these inactives. Yeah, as we get going.

4:57

All right, Matt, we're going to go position by position like we do each and every Sunday on this show. I got my screen shared right now. I'm going to go back to quarterback. Make sure I'm sharing my screen. Yep, I'm going to go back to quarterback. I'm going to sort by DraftKings ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. And, Matt, at the top of the heap, it's going to be everybody's two favorite quarterbacks.

5:16

You got Jordan Love in the dome game with a fifty five and a half total in that same game. Jared Goff, who would come in with the second highest score.

5:24

Projection they would be kind of one two talking about the ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. 5:48

Just the perfect matchup because their offense is really good so you know they're going to score and their defense is really bad so you know you can move the ball on them and I've been on their defenses really bad since before the season started their secondary had one of the worst rooms in the league before the terry and arnold stuff and then all that happened it's just one of the worst rooms in the league so yeah maybe after the bye like I mean, what are they going to find?

6:14

They just don't have the guys. So I like Green Bay, certainly. I think Love is the best quarterback option. He'll be owned, but quarterback ownership never gets too crazy. And this is the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Read the full definition of Contrarian construction, so it's easy to say how good of a play Love is, even got from the other side. I like C.J. Stroud. And the guy at like real low ownership I like is Baker Mayfield. Everyone likes the weapons there, but no one wants to play Baker.

6:48

And he's a guy I really like playing when no one is on him. So interested to hear your takes. That's just like kind of my broad look at QB. Yeah, let's start up at the top. I mean, Love and Goff obviously are going to be popular. You know, I think it's a bigger deal than most people, but I think getting Brian Branch back makes their secondary better. So I would probably be a little bit lower on Jordan Love.

7:12

Not only that, is that, you know, last season and probably the season before that, what is – I don't even know what his first name is, but Mike or Matt LaFleur. He likes to turn around and hand it to number eight like twenty times. I think that just lowers Jordan Love's ceiling with Josh Jacobs coming back. So certainly Love is in play in my opinion, but I'm going to be lower on him in MME. Um, that's just how I'm playing that. I do like golf.

7:36

He could spray it around. If I'm playing golf though, I mean, you can, you can pair him with, with Gibbs, but I prefer not to, I prefer to build teams. If I'm going golf, I want to get JMO. I want to get LaPorta. I want to get Amin Ra personally. That's just how I build. And then, um, Just looking at this, I did not initially. You talk about Baker. I think I'm out on Baker. He wasn't good before, in my opinion.

8:00

Now he's got a bad hand. But I like that other side, Matt. Bryce Young, only $5,900 projected for nineteen points. You know, Coker's going to get some love. You know, Ted's going to get some love. Why not just let them air it out? He hasn't thrown for less than two hundred eighty one yards all season. If we can get a back and forth, I think Bryce Young's in a good spot.

8:21

You talked about CJ Stroud and the boys talked about it this morning too on their show. I mean, that's excellent. That's an excellent pivot. If you weren't going Woods Marks, that's kind of like my top tier. And then I do have some ones further down that I want to touch on. I don't know if you have anything you want to say to that. No. Yeah. I mean, I certainly get the Bryce Young play. I like him too.

8:41

I just think he's going to be owned like after love. Oh, really? Yeah. I think so. I mean, I've, I think he's picking up steam as the Week goes on. He's really good at home. Coker's getting a lot of love, which I understand. And I like Bryce Young. I'm playing a little bit of him. So I certainly understand that play. Yeah. The Baker thing is just more about like, I don't think he's like bad now. It wasn't good to start the season.

9:05

You're right. But I don't think he's a bad quarterback going forward. He's got a bunch of cheap weapons and, he's cheap and it's going to be long. I certainly understand why he's going to be alone and he doesn't project that great. So it's really just a, you know, there's a one fit, a hundred dollars, fifty million maker. It's like that tournament type of play. Yeah. Yeah. We got young at like ten percent, right around ten percent. I think that's eight, eight and a half.

9:30

Well, I think that's like, I mean, of quarterbacks, like that's, you know, pretty, how many are projected higher than him? He's top five. Yeah, top five. Yeah. So we'll see where the dust settles. I think he ends up being like, for me, I think he ends up being the second most popular after Love, then CJ Stroud. I think CJ Stroud ownership will come down a little bit because it's a huge spread.

9:52

People are probably going to back off because of, You know, them being scared they're not going to throw as much. That being said, another guy I like up top that I don't think is going to get played at all is Joe Burrow. Oh, for sure. Yeah, talk about him because I'm going to get it in him as well. I think that game has sneaky upside, decently high total. Both offenses have pieces. You know they can move the ball.

10:14

I wish Lamar were in, certainly for the Ravens. But Huntley, Snoop is good. Obviously not as good as Lamar. Yeah, and he's at home. I think both defenses are like solid, but not spectacular. You can certainly move the ball on them. And I think a lot of weapons in this game could get there. And Joe Burrow is just, I mean, he's about as consistent as it gets. And I think there's upside here.

10:37

So yeah, Burrow up top is a guy I'm interested in. Yeah. Um, just spoiler alert. Uh, my core over at Ship It Nation.com does have Joe Burrow in it. I'm with you there. I love Joe Burrow. You're the Ja'Marr Chase whisper. I have Ja'Marr Chase in there as well. I love his weapons. I mean, it's, it's, it's real easy. Jamar healthy tea. Healthy for now. Joe Burrow going to sling it around. This game can get back and forth.

11:02

This Bengals defense just gave up twenty four to the Dolphins two weeks ago before their bye. So, yeah, give me some Joe Burrow. Love that call from you. He is $6,900. It's kind of pricey. Most expensive quarterback on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate, if I'm not mistaken. Matt got a lot of him. And then to your point, Snoop Huntley, I mean, I think everybody has that same sentiment, right? It's like I don't love Snoop at . But I think he's at home.

11:24

I think, you know, division game. I think we obviously wish they had Lamar in there. But even without him, I think Snoop can keep this game competitive and hopefully get up and down in the big dog bus at AD Yarder to get this thing moving. Talk to me a little bit about your boy on the road, $5,000, best matchup of his season, Bo Picks for this Denver Broncos team. I like Bo Nix here.

11:50

I mean, I hate it and I don't know how much I'm going to get because I don't like his weapons at all. But I think he's got rushing upset here and he's come like he's had a lot of bad matchups, man. And now he's finally in a good one. He got a lot of talk at the beginning of the Week, but I don't think people are getting there. He's cheap. I think I like him. People aren't playing him. Yeah. I mean, what are your thoughts there?

12:14

Like, especially now with McCarthy down there, I think he's going to get a lot, you know, not a lot of OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership, but he's going to get some of that early Knicks ownership. So I like Knicks. I'm just not sure how much I want to get to him. How about you? Yeah, we'll get to your question here in a second, Sean. So we haven't gotten to JJ yet. But yeah, I'm in on Bo Nix.

12:33

I got a lot of him over on FanDuel. You said it, his rushing upside. He hasn't rushed this year. He can do it. But ever since that foot last year in the title game, like, Hasn't really rushed, but I think Copeland Sutton has a good matchup. I think Jalen Waddell has a good matchup. This is a defense we want to attack outside of last Week. The Cardinals have given it up in droves. Don't rush the passer.

12:56

Walter Nolan, the stud defensive tackle, first-round pick last year for the Cardinals, is out in this game, which obviously further hurts their pass rush as well. So I'm in on Bo Nix, especially at $5,000. Yeah, and then so I got some more, but Sean asked about, J.J. McCarthy. I have a take on J.J. McCarthy. I want to hear yours first. I think he's the most clear boom-bust option on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate. Like, Houston D has not been good.

13:23

I mean, we've been talking about – quabbling about them since Week one, I feel like, when I liked Ja'Marr Chase or whatever that was. Or Week two. And they've been giving it up to opposing wide receivers. So, I could see playing McCarthy, who's cheap and Nabers here, obviously. The other side of that is – I think there's a real floor with McCarthy, and Houston D is also appealing to me on the other side of that, which we'll get to.

13:47

But I'm not exactly sure what to make of McCarthy. I see the case why some people are really strong on him this Week. I'm a little bit indifferent. I'm just kind of not sure, and I'm hoping it lands somewhere in the middle. Yeah, I like your point there. So my take on McCarthy is I think similar to yours in the sense that Houston D is not the same D that it's been in years past. They do have the Neil Hunter. They do have Will Anderson.

14:13

So up front, they are very good. But the thing that JJ does have that maybe the Joe Burrow of the world, I'm trying to think of who else they played, the Cam Ward's. They don't have the wheels that McCarthy has. So he may can escape some of those sacks. And another thing, too, that I don't like about this Texans defense with them getting ownership, Reed Blankenship and Jalen Petrie, both starting safeties for this Texans team, are both out of this contest today.

14:39

Nobody's playing Malik Nabers. Nobody's playing Isaiah Likely. I don't think that people are playing J.J. McCarthy. Let's see what we have him – as, as ownership. Yeah. I mean, he's, he's sub five percent is what I'm seeing that we have over on the site. I'm with you. Forty hundred bucks. Ultimate boom bust. No one's, no one's going to play McCarthy. In my opinion, we don't think, you know, five percent. Well, the thing with ownership with quarterback is you can only roster one, right?

15:11

So the only Person, if you're going to say ownership, like that's actually going to be owned is Jordan Love. Everyone else is LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Read the full definition of Leverage. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so would you play McCarthy naked? Would you go McCarthy plus Nabers or Likely? Or are you okay with playing both of his pass catchers? I think you can definitely play them. Like, if I'm playing McCarthy, I want Nabers for sure.

15:36

But I will say, like, the cumulative ownership you're going to start to see on rosters with McCarthy that also have Nabers and Likely and Collins and marks or whatever, some combo that is going to be high. So playing him naked is intriguing just from an ownership perspective. And you mentioned the rushing upside and, Maybe this is the game that Houston does everything they can to just take out Nabers. Whatever, go ahead. On those three, though, it's going to be less than twenty percent.

16:07

Right, but I'm saying of the McCarthy lineups, how many of those are going to have Nabers? Eighty percent? Oh, I get what you're saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, okay. I see what you're saying. Yeah, you're right. If you're playing McCarthy, you're also playing Nabers with it. Yeah, I get it. Exactly. Yeah, not like the total. Yeah, exactly. So how many are you playing Nabers and Likely?

16:31

Yeah, I mean, then the more you stack, obviously, the less ownership you get because people don't want to stack it, you know, three. Yeah, so eighty percent are going Nabers, maybe fifteen percent are going Nabers and Likely that would leave you five percent that just have just have a naked around there or something like that. I would say, yeah, five, whatever the I think the Likely number might be higher, but I think naked is probably like five percent. Yeah. Yeah.

16:58

Any other quarterbacks just scrolling here? I do not see any. Full disclosure, Matt, full disclosure, I do have one Cam Moore team in the seven-game early only contest. So full disclosure there, he's terrible, but I found something I like. But I don't see anything else I like. No Matthews Stafford, no Kirk Cousins for me, or not a lot of them anyway, but any interest in any of these other quarterbacks that we haven't touched on? Not really.

17:28

I mean, as we've kind of alluded to, there's a lot of low ownership guys here. I liked your Huntley call a little bit. I don't even know if you were recommending him, but just like their offense, being able to move the ball. Other than that, rushing upside to, you know, definitely. Yeah, I think of all the guys, he would be it. Yeah. Good call there. No one else, really.

17:49

I think because, as you've mentioned, like the ownership is low on the guys we've already talked about. So why even, you know, there's no need to even get lower owned. Yep. All right. Good stuff there. All right. Let's go to running back where it's always interesting at the running back position. Make sure I have it sorted by DraftKings ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. If news is already included, adjusting again for that same news can double-count its effect.Read the full definition of Projections. We got the LaDainian Tomlinson, two point oh, at the top of the heat. Jameer Gibbs is absolutely fantasy proof.

18:14

He has $9,800 on both sites. So he is getting pricey. Want to hear how you're handling that? Bijan Robinson coming off a dud last Week. And then CMC is kind of the top tier for me. How are you playing these big three running backs? Yeah, they all look really good. I think CMC is going to be the highest zone by a lot for good reason.

18:33

I mean, he's so cheap, and he's just going to get all his in the passing game, and it's almost like whatever he does on the ground is bonus. I mean, no Evans, no Debo. He's going to be featured here in the passing game. I don't even love much else from San Francisco personally. I understand why people do, but McCaffrey is hard to get away from at that tag, man. He's just so cheap.

18:56

Gibbs is – you know, the top commodity in fantasy football right now. So he's in play every single Week. He's on the board. It's tough to like prioritize him in some builds because of his price tag, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who is doing so. I think I like, I do like Bijan a lot.

19:15

I'm not sure if I like him the most, but he's right up there just because opposite CMC, I think his OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership is much lower and he's thirteen hundred cheaper than Gibbs, so a lot easier to roster.

19:27

And yeah it's just talked about bijan a lot whenever he's not like really really popular he'll be popular today but mcafree much higher owned I'm in on dijon I like all three I mean it's hard to separate between the three of them honestly all right well we're gonna put you under the microscope Matt you gotta fade one you gotta fade one in Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Read the full definition of Single-Entry which one are you fading I think Gibbs just because of the tag. I mean, I like other expensive guys.

19:54

Price tags go a long way this Week. I understand how much that could burn me, but it's Gibbs. Yep. And to me, you know, at ninety $9,800 bucks, he's got it. He's got to get thirty five plus, which obviously he can do. But he's got to get a big, big boy score, in my opinion. To me, it's McCaffrey, though, Matt. That's the one I'm fading. He does have a great price, $7,600 bucks.

20:16

But I was listening to the Leverage Lane show yesterday as well. That's a great show. If no one if no one listens to it. But Blickle was talking about how the EPA goes down with Mike Evans.

20:26

Like, no, Mike Evans just really hurts that offense and passing and You said it like McCaffrey, everybody's expecting McCaffrey to do a lot of his work through the air, which is fine, but a, he's going to have to catch, you know, eight plus balls and, and, and I'm not going to have to, but I think, you know, to really get a ceiling is going to have to catch eight plus balls, like eight yards. Can he do it? Yes. But I'm betting that it doesn't happen.

20:50

Yeah, that's cool. I mean, I get it. Like it's not guaranteed to happen, but I think he's in a good spot to just get a lot of the work and that's all you can really ask for. Yeah. We'll get to some more running backs, but next I want to get into these value running backs that are going to be super uber popular on both sites.

21:06

And when I talk about that, I'm talking about $5,600 Woody Marks, $5,900 Braylon Allen are the two. I personally think like when you're talking value backs, Tony Pollard shoots up the board a little bit at only $5,300 with no Tajay Spears.

21:21

I do agree with you that Marks and Allen maybe even double him in OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership, but How are you handling, I'll call it this value tier running back, Woods Marks and Braylon Allen, and then throw anybody else in there that you want to? Yeah, I do think Pollard now sneaks in there for sure. And he's, you know, the new news also like makes his ownership unlikely to be as high as those other guys. And I think he's a similarly strong play as Allen and Marks.

21:47

I would still have Allen as my favorite guy just because I'm high on his talent level. And he's another one people weren't really expecting to play as of this morning. Brees was kind of expected to play in some capacity. Now he's not. I mean, Braylon Allen is the guy that I've loved playing. I mean, he's a dog. We've been on that. Yeah. I mean, he's my favorite for sure.

22:08

Woody Marks is not good in my opinion, but he's got the entire backfield for himself in a game. The Texans are favored by double digits. So workload should be there. A lot of touchdown equity. And then Pollard, I like the Titans today. So, yeah, all three of them are really strong plays in my opinion.

22:26

For me, as much as I like guys like, you know, Jeanty, Kyron Williams, even throw like Chubb Hubbard in there, the mid-tier is just tough to get to for me now because I like the top three guys, obviously, and then I like those really, you know, three value guys. Yeah, good stuff there. Sully loves him, some Braylon Allen. We've been on Braylon Allen since, you know, the Bears game, and you can't ask for a better matchup, Matt.

22:54

This is the one, the Miami Dolphins, who, A, Miami Dolphins defense is going to get some love because they are so cheap on both sides, but Braylon Allen with no Brees Hall and Isaiah Davis as his backup, he's good. Woody Marks, Matt, over under in this year and a half of games that he's rushed for over under seventy-four yards. You taking over one and a half or under one and a half? In his career? Yep. Under?

23:20

Under one and a half would be a winner. Woody Marks, one game, over seventy four yards in his career. What does that mean? I guess not much in this day, but you know, for this game. But I'm going to take my chances on Braylon Allen. Very similar price and a better back. Uh, but to your point, like if you're fading, like if you're going Single-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament. In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Pair a strong, popular core with a lower-owned piece instead of fading everything the field likes.Read the full definition of Single-Entry and you're fading Woods, like you better hope it's a Nico Collins type day or something like that.

23:43

Cause they will put some points on this Giants defense. I can't do much, but yeah. If that marks or Alan, I think go ahead. No. The other thing to back up your point, Houston cannot run the ball. They they're not a good running team. They might just run the entire game. So even if they're winning, they might just throw. Yeah. So I'm with you there. Um, All right, let's get into two of my favorite running backs on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. It determines which events your player selections can come from and which performances count toward your score. Before building, open the contest details and check the included events, scoring period and lock rules. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate, Matt. And I feel like a broken record.

24:12

Week one, everybody shoved it right up Ham because I was off Derrick Henry and went for . Thirty-five. Since then, I feel like I've been on him every Week and he can't do Jack Binion. But Derrick Henry at home with a brand-new center wants to make a good first impression. Cam Juergens, welcome to Baltimore. Get you some crab cakes and let's open those holds for the big dogs, . I love him in this back and forth contest, especially on borough teams. Talk to me about Derrick Henry.

24:37

And then also, yeah, talk to me about Derrick Henry first. Then I'll get into another one. I like the comment. I never love, you know, Dexter Lawrence is a problem inside for the Bengals. They're coming off their bye. So they're going to be feeling good. But yeah, I mean. The big dog's always in play, and I like Burrow, and I talked about their receipt. We talked about the Cincinnati side. So Henry's just a natural Bring-BackIn the NFL, a bring-back is usually a wide receiver, tight end or running back from the team facing your quarterback stack.Pick the bring-back who gains the most when his team falls behind. In football that's usually the opponent's top pass catcher, not a running back who loses carries in a comeback.Read the full definition of Bring-Back for sure. Always high touchdown equity.

25:02

And I do think this game, you know, the total is higher than I think people expect, and I think it could play to that. So I'm with you on Henry. I like the Juergens call too. Yeah, seven hundred bucks. I like him. I mean, you're going to get him at no OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership. And if Derrick Henry has a, you know, Derrick Henry three touchdown day, you're going to want him. And then, Matt, I'm going back to the well, my man.

25:24

I hate saying this, but goodness gracious alive, Bucky Irvin is $6,100 out snapped. Kenneth Gainwell or out rushed him like nineteen to two last Week. Sean Tucker was inactive. He is back today, but that doesn't do much for me. Bucky Irvin, $6,100. This Panthers defense, Matt, this defensive line, they're not very good. And we saw it Week one and that was six weeks ago. But this Bears team rushed like three hundred yards against them. The Bucs have a very good offensive line.

25:52

Are missing Luke Godeke today, but four of their five starters. In their last game, not their last game, that was against the Steelers, but in their game against the Cowboys, who had a similarly bad defense, Bucky ran wild. So, man, I'm going back to the well today, Matt. $6,100, Bucky Irvin. You talking me out of it, or is Bucky okay to play against his Panthers team? I think he's definitely okay to play.

26:15

For me, it's just hard for me to get Foley on board just because of what I said about the top three guys and then the Allen, Marks, even though it's gross, Tony Pollard plays. I just think those guys project too similarly to Bucky. I get it, though, if we're playing him for the ceiling. Everyone's playing the wide receivers on Tampa. It's a nice little ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Read the full definition of Contrarian route. I dig it. So, okay, so I'm looking at this.

26:37

So, I mean, are you playing – I mean, Marks and Allen are both projected behind Bucky. Are you playing – you like Marks and Allen better than Bucky? I mean, I think that they – He's only two hundred more dollars than Marks. Yeah, first off, that matters, you know. You know, if I had one build, yeah, I'd play Marks over Irving, like in a vacuum. I think he outscores him here. I mean, I like Irving much more as a running back.

27:08

I just think the spot is that much better for Marks. Yeah, that's interesting. I think Bucky – we got Bucky at – Fifteen percent right now. There's no way fifteen percent of the teams are going to have Bucky Irvin on it today. No way. Yeah, no way. Bucky, I love Bucky. Bucky's like my ultimate GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Read the full definition of GPP play of the day. I'm smashing him in every way possible, with or without Bryce Youngstacks. I love him. Next up, Matt, would be the same game. You got the Rams.

27:40

Who apparently don't play Kyron Williams, even though he's out there. Seventy five percent of the time they got to have a dub. They don't have any receivers outside of a guy named Puka Nacua. Kyron Williams had a super cheap price of $7,000 bucks. How are you playing Kyron Williams? And on the flip side, waiting on Mike Washington Jr. News, Ashton Gentry at home has been abysmal, but he's only $6,500 and the Rams are missing their starting middle linebacker, Nate Landman.

28:06

How are you playing Kyron Williams? How are you playing Ashton Gentry?

28:10

Don't love either of them here I think they're both in play but man I just you sound like a broken record like why am I playing those guys instead of the top three guys or the three value guys when I like receivers also that are expensive so tough for me to prioritize them that said like I get it just because I think there's upside there and OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership is not really going to be there Yeah, but if you're – I mean, I get it.

28:39

Of course, we like the big dogs better, but you got to play one of those value guys, and I guess it sounds like you like Marks and Allen better than any of these other cats that – And Pollard. And Pollard. I think I like Pollard more than Marks now. Really? I don't know. I'm just starting to, like, rethink my whole Marks take just because you have – like, he's not good.

29:02

I know he's not good, and you clearly don't like him here, so – starting to rethink it a little bit. Yeah. I don't like him, but I don't, I mean, Tony Pollard, I mean, you said, just think about this. You said that the Browns rush defense is very good. And if Mason Graham and Malik Collins are both there, like, and the Titans have one of the worst offensive lines, like, man, it's going to be a tough road to hoe. And I just think there's better options.

29:26

Like, Okay, that's fair. I will say, though, I do think that they get Pollard involved here, and I think they're on the field a lot because I don't think the Browns have a lot of success offensively. And the last time they played the Titans, Pollard had a monster game. I don't even like him because of that. Is that the game that he had two tutties last year? He had a monster game, I remember, like, out of nowhere. It must have been, yeah.

29:51

And I know you don't like him, and I don't really like playing the running back in the same game, but, man, like, Ollie Gordon, goodness gracious, like, he's in another smash spot. We had him against the Bengals two weeks ago. Like, he's way better. I think he's really interesting here. Yeah, he's $5,500, like, but you like Paul better than Ollie. I think there's, yeah, I think they're pretty similar.

30:16

I think Ali's interesting, especially with Brees or not Brees with Braylon Allen, going to get love the Dolph. Like, you know, everyone kind of expects the Jets to just roll here. Cause it's the Dolphins. Well, I'm sure the Dolphins are saying it's the Jets. So, you know, they can win this year. Right. Exactly. Like this is a, I don't want to say a get up spot, but they're coming off there by like, um, Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are at least.

30:45

So, yeah, I mean, I dig that call. I knew you were going to mention him, and I was going to be on board with it. A couple more in that same game. Quenshawn Judkins, Butkins is what they call him on the morning show. We do get former Tennessee Vol legend Dylan Sampson back in the fold. Aldrick Estime has been ruled inactive. But Quinn Sean missed last Week and he is only $5,400 bucks right around there. Same price as Pollard.

31:14

Any interest in Quinn Sean Judkins? Nah, can't do it. I mean, he hasn't looked good. I don't really like the Browns in this game. I'm good. He's been Buckins. No Vikings running backs for me. I'm assuming you're similar. Anybody else? I'm going to give you one more gross one and you're not going to want to play him, but I'm going to play him in some one fifty. To help me win over there on FanDuel today, about a two-fifty.

31:41

But any other running backs you want to touch on? If not, I've got a gross one for you. No, I want to hear yours. All right, Matt. I hope you're sitting down. I am. We're doing a show. All right, last Week this kid was absolutely cutting up. I mean, and I heard this tidbit this morning that Tambo was talking about.

32:07

But nine carries, forty two yards, two catches for eighteen yards and a touchdown in the first half last Week through the third halfway through the third quarter. Blake Corum, $5,000 in a game once again with no receivers outside of Puka Nacua. Why not play Corum a little bit more ground and pound? Blake Corum, $5,000. Can I interest you in any of that? Not really. In a one-fifty type. Yeah, in a one-fifty, yeah, for sure.

32:37

But, like, I don't have enough confidence in the Rams' offense to want to get to their backup running back right now, personally. I mean, is he? I mean, I guess he is a backup running back based off a lot of things. Right. He's not, like, a true backup. Like, I phrased that perfectly for how I wanted to phrase it. But, like, you get my point. You know what I mean?

32:54

Like, the point is that, like – Like a lot of times you want to play Corham in Game ScriptGame script is how a game's score and time remaining influence its pace, play choices and player opportunities. In football, teams protecting a lead often run more, while teams chasing a deficit often pass more. Before locking a lineup, ask who keeps playing if your expected script reverses. Check passing-down roles and backup rotations instead of assuming a team's leading rusher handles every situation.Read the full definition of Game Script where they're going to roll. And I just don't really see that against anyone right now. Again, I just don't have enough faith in either side of the ball for them. All right. Well, I'm doing one fifty over on FanDuel today, Matthews. I have fourteen point seven percent in Blake Corham. Twenty how many lineups is that? Twenty twenty three lineups of Blake Corham.

33:21

So if Blake Corham has a good day, Matt, please start texting me about seven thirty p.m. Central Standard Time. OK. I will. I'm not going to be shocked because I've been wrong plenty of times, and I'm sure it will continue here. Well, it's not wrong. It's a one-fifty type play. I'm trying to beat, what, a hundred thousand other people, and I think Blake Corham has a great price on FanDuel at $5,500 where I'm trying to stack up some tutties.

33:45

All right. Cool. Anything else, Matt? I don't think so. All right, let's move over to receiver, where receiver is kind of going to be interesting today, in my humble opinion. You got Puka Nacua, who we did get the news earlier today that he is Likely to play. Obviously, he's in the late window, so you're going to want to make sure you check that out. Not many places to go from a wide receiver perspective outside of Amon Ross St.

34:10

Brown if you were to switch off Puka, but kind of the way I rank it is kind of the way these ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. They describe an expected result, not a guaranteed score.Check the projection's update time and assumed role before using it. I'm assuming you do, but you're the Jamar Whisper, so I want to get your take on Jamar. And then Amon Ross, St. Brown, to me, are clearly the three best receivers on this SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate. How do you see it? I see it the same as you.

34:33

I mean, I think Puka for sure plays, and he's just a – I think he's going to be awesome today. Is this the Ja'Marr Chase Week two type Puka where no one's going to play Puka? Are we going to Puka, a man that had twenty-four targets two weeks ago, Like how are people playing Puka today? I think he's going to be a little bit higher on than you're suspecting just because the news came out this morning, but he's not going to be high on.

34:59

I like his tag, man. Like when you talk about someone like that's why Gibbs is hard to, afford for me because I like Amon Ra a lot. I like Puka a lot. Jamar, we talked about. Jamar, I like more in Burrow stacks as opposed to like a One-OffIn NFL DFS, a one-off is a player you select outside your stacks, commonly a running back or a receiver without his quarterback. An opposing receiver intentionally paired with your stack instead serves as a bring-back.Before adding a one-off, compare him with an affordable teammate of your existing stack. Decide whether his individual upside is worth passing up that extra scoring connection.Read the full definition of One-Off. If I were playing a one-off, I like Puka and Amon Ra more, but I like Burrow stacks too. So yeah. And then the next range has really good options too. Question for you though.

35:26

Yeah. Yeah. Cause Tambo said the same thing to me and I want to, and I need to understand. So It was Ja'Marr Chase and Burrow Stacks, but you don't like him as much as a one-off. Explain it to me and the rest of the people what you mean by that. I just think for how DraftKings scoring works in the PPR, I think that, you know, with Burrow, there's a lot of touchdown equity. A lot of times when Burrow throws touchdowns, they go to chase.

35:55

The other guys, Amon Rampuka specifically, I mean, those two guys, more than almost anyone other, can get there without touchdowns. Yeah, they're target monsters. Yeah, like you don't need their quarterback ever with them.

36:08

Sometimes you do you know what I mean but like oftentimes it's just because of how often they're catching the ball whereas chase most often it's because of the touchdowns yeah not good stuff there excellent breakdown for the people you were going in that second tier so I don't know who you were going to say but yeah start uh start giving me uh start giving me some names down there in that second tier that you want to talk about I mean, there's a lot of good plays here, whether you want to talk about like the $7,000 range, which I think kind of goes overlooked London.

36:37

Let's talk. Let's talk $7,000 range. So you got in there.

36:40

Know tat McMillan you talk about Bryce Young I think that coker's higher on the McMillan here so that's an easy place to get different off a guy that's really good in tat McMillan it's funny Golden and coker are going to be higher owned than Watson and McMillan and I get it like I think Golden and coker are just as good of plays if not slightly better and they're cheaper but The difference is small, and Watson and McMillan are going to be much lower owned.

37:09

So I think those two guys, just for that reason alone, are really good looks. Nico Collins, seven to two hundred. We talked about what if Houston just throws. Doesn't matter. Even with the emergence of Jalen Noel, Martin Harrison Jr. Coming in. Nico is tanked out, who I love. Like Collins is still Stroud guy, and I don't expect that to change. So. He's cheap, man. I like him a lot. And then you go to the $6,000 range. I've had a good place here.

37:38

We talked about Nabers, you know, Golden and Coker, who I just mentioned. Receiver is pretty stacked here. You, I know the answer I think, but Golden and Watson versus Coker and McMillan. So wait, the two. Yeah. Green Bay guys versus two, two Panthers. Who do you like better today? Yeah. You're obviously stacking them with the quarterback. So.

38:05

Uh, you know, I talked about give me love, but I think, or give me the green bag guys, but I think they're both like, they're all good plays and it's just a matter of which offense you like better. Yeah. I mean, I think it's young from, from a tournament perspective. I mean, love's in a great spot, but from a tournament perspective, I think you get, I think, you know, more people are playing the love combo. Just, just my, my take on it.

38:29

I think it's more about how you play them than just like in a VAT. You know what I mean? Like as far as the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Read the full definition of Ownership goes, like, cause you can play low on pieces around love and the two receivers. You know what I mean? Yeah. The what about, what about T Higgins as a One-OffIn NFL DFS, a one-off is a player you select outside your stacks, commonly a running back or a receiver without his quarterback. An opposing receiver intentionally paired with your stack instead serves as a bring-back.Before adding a one-off, compare him with an affordable teammate of your existing stack. Decide whether his individual upside is worth passing up that extra scoring connection.Read the full definition of One-Off?

38:44

Can you play T as a one-off or is he, is he kind of like, like Jamar where you need to stack them in a, in a Burrow stack or like a Huntley stack or something like that? I like him a little bit more than Jamar's one-off just because of his price tag. And he's a better PPR guy, like not a better, but he doesn't rely as much on touch on touchdowns. So yeah, I like to, even in the borough stacks too.

39:02

I mean, he's a guy I'm high on today. Yeah. Flowers too. I like. Yeah. Flowers is a stud. He had what? Like eleven, eleven targets last Week or something crazy like that.

39:11

Even with, uh, even with, um, Huntley at the helm but yeah Flowers is in a smash spot as well receivers loaded I feel like it is every Week this $5,000 range though Matt really interests me let's go down there real quick Jamo I love Jamo today I had him we had him two weeks ago on this show he didn't he he had two catches Matt against the Cardinals he turned that into like fifty yards and two touchdowns so that's a lot of meat on that bone per se but I love Jamo and tournaments today he's going to be super low on It's gross, man.

39:39

Josh Downs, PPR magnet. No Tyler Warren once again. And against this blitz-happy defense, they're going to have to get the ball out quickly. So I think Josh Downs and Keenan now, for that matter, do well there. And then your boy, Mr. Boston, had a bad game last Week. Only one catch. One catch in that contest, four targets. But I know you're a KC Concepcion guy, so I want to get your take on him. But I like some Denzel Boston today. How do you beat this Titans team?

40:06

Well, you beat them in a lot of ways because they're not very good. But you beat them through the air. You don't run it up the middle at Big Jeff, Jeff Simmons. You throw the ball, get Denzel the ball. He's a home run hitter. I love me some Denzel Boston. Then take me home through any of these other guys in the $5,000 or the $4,000 range that you want to talk about. Yeah, I like that call on Zell.

40:26

I mean, we've seen his upside a ton this year, so I think going back to him makes a lot of sense. I like the other guys you mentioned. The one guy in this range that I think is my favorite is Waddle. We talked about Knicks. I like pairing him with Waddle. If I'm going to pair him with one Denver guy, it's Waddle. And running backs we didn't talk about. If I'm playing Knicks, I don't mind R.J. Harvey. Even with Jonah Coleman back?

40:49

Yeah, I mean, doesn't make me like him anymore. But I still think that Harvey, you know, has a role there. So, yeah, I mean, maybe that ultimately is enough to make me get off him. I just think Denver's offense moves the ball today. So that's all I'll say, you know. Yeah, no, I feel you. And when I saw Jonah Coleman come back, I was like, damn it, I wanted to play some. Yeah, but I get your point. I like all the guys you mentioned.

41:18

And then the cheap guys, obviously Tampa, Ted Hurst, who I like. Tez Johnson, viable pivot. Chris Godwin uber cheap. I don't love his ceiling, but he's got a real high floor at $4,300. And then some guys that I like his pivots. Savion Williams had an immediate role. He's in that game everyone likes, but he's not going to get any love. Christian Kirk, I think is a really high boom bust guy.

41:42

You know, we've seen him have high touchdown equity a lot in this league and one big play for him is all it takes. So don't hate that. Is he your favorite forty nine receiver? I got the forty nine receivers pulled up right now. They all. Yeah, none of them look good and none of them are good. Like I. I always secretly want Collins to be really good, but, man, he just doesn't ever do anything. He was so good in college. I know you know that.

42:14

Yeah, exactly. But, yeah, if I'm going to rank the Niners receivers, I think it's got to be Kirk one, but I don't – that's the reason I like McCaffrey. He hasn't played a snap all season. Yeah, I mean, and then going to Kittle. I mean, the – Yeah. Kirk was hurt. This is his first game. Yeah. He was our, yeah. Philly Phantom loves, loves Savion, man. I, He's only $4,000 on FanDuel, $3,200 on DraftKings. I guess I get it. They were using them in droves last Week.

42:47

I'm going to, I guess, be ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Read the full definition of Contrarian. This is a Contrarian construction show, Matt. But Jordan Watkins, like this doesn't make sense to me. He was he's $3,300. Obviously, he's the cheapest receiver. He played like seventy five percent of the snaps last Week. They didn't he didn't turn into any targets, but he was already out there last Week, like with Mike Evans, like obviously for the first half. Then played the second half. Like, give me some Jordan Watkins.

43:09

If I'm playing a cheap receiver, because he's the cheapest and I'm not trusting Brandon cooks. Um, just my taking the Cowing Cowing hasn't done it in the three or four years he's been there. So I'm out on, on him. Um, We can't go a show, Matt, because this is the seventh show without you giving me some KC Concepcion love. Where are you at with KC Concepcion at $4,400? Hey, you say it every Week. There's going to be a breakout Week.

43:40

Is it Week seven that KC Concepcion steps up to the plate? Yeah, their running game still sucks. And I just think they're still making a big-time effort to get him the rock. And I just think he's a guy that can really get there in PPR. And if he scores, the big game's coming. So, yeah, more of like a one-fifty type of play that no one's going to be on that I think is undervalued by the field. Not that I, like, love him.

44:05

I just think that there's a higher upside than the field is giving him credit for because we haven't seen it yet. You know what I mean? Yeah. Do you need – This is interesting. $3,200 Tez Johnson, Kanata Mumpfield, who we did not talk about. And Savion Williams, all $3,200. Like, do you need to play one of those guys to kind of get them to the big boys? No, especially not because Hurst. Did you say Hurst? Like Hurst?

44:30

I did not. Just just because. Where is Hurst? I don't. He's $3,000. Oh, he's $3,000. Yeah. Yeah. OK. Well, then, yeah, you're playing him. So, I mean, yeah, and he was good in college, man. And, like, he seemed to have a rapport with Baker earlier in the year. So did – has played with Baker for a while, too. So I like the pivot. And, obviously, a lot of volatility there.

44:51

A touchdown to either one of them probably swings things dramatically, and you never can predict those. Yeah. I like Hurst and Johnson. They could definitely get zeros, though, too. Totally. Both really low floors. I mean, all these guys, though, have low floors, to be fair. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to give you an off-the-wall one that I like today, Matt. Tank Dell? No, don't like Tank Dell today. They just got too many receivers. They got like nine receivers they played.

45:19

I mean, they're all good. Jalen Noel had like a hundred yards on like four targets last Week. It's gross. It's a one-fifty type play, and he's too expensive, but Copeland Sutton, at $4,700 bucks. I mean, if we're playing Bo Nix, I like Copeland Sutton at $4,700. He's a he's a he's a red zone guy, not a PPR guy per se, but give me some Copeland Sutton like in deep, deep one fifty type things. Yeah, I can get on board.

45:46

I mean, yeah. Any other receivers that you want to touch on? Uh. We didn't touch on the Tennessee Tennessee receiver, Carnell Tater, Wanda, Wanda, Wanda Robinson. I'm definitely not going to Tate with Ward all over him here. I mean, Garrett Wilson got there, sure, but I don't trust Tate enough with Cam Ward as his QB. I'm good there. Is Calvin Ridley inactive? Does anyone know? We don't have him projected. I mean, Elick A.O. Maynard would.

46:23

Would get all those reps at $3,000 bucks. That's not the worst hundred fifty type play, but no OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. And Philly's asking if we prefer Hurst over Otton. I don't know about that. I think I like Otton more personally. I think honestly, it's a classic case of Otton has a higher floor, lower ceiling. Hurst has the higher ceiling, lower floor. I mean, so like, oh, it's a Baker revenge game.

46:50

Now that I think about it, doesn't he hate these people? But yeah, Man, I just feel like Baker is going to throw it to the people he knows and trusts. Otten, Godwin, and Mann. It's tough for me to click those other names. So I'm with you, Otton there. And then Jahan Dotson, no thank you. He got there off of duty last time. Go ahead. The last time that Baker played, though, he was targeting Hurst a ton, like, late in the game.

47:19

Like, the Browns game. Yeah, like, Hurst dropped a touchdown, and then he came back. Yeah, he likes Hurst. Okay. What about Jahan Dassey? That's part of the reason I like Hurst is because Baker likes Hurst. Baker's going to be, like, handing off to Bucky today, Matt. You better get ready for that. Well, you've been kind of on and off with your Bucky calls, so I'm hoping you're off today. No, I have not been on and off. You know what I'm talking about.

47:44

No, I know, I know. It was just a Monday night game. Well, there was no Monday night game to call him or not call him. The Thursday night game, I was on Bucky and he was off. Then I was off Bucky and he was on, so I have not been on and off. I've been completely missing that one. That's good stuff. Jahan Dotson. Nah, not for me. I don't like that game. Yeah, it's Godwin, man. Godwin, dirt cheap on both sides.

48:14

I mean, talk about a PPR monster. What do you think about the Falcons, D, having both Terrell brothers healthy today? Oh, dude. We're going to get to the defenses, and I am in. On this Falcons defense. I don't like how that Devon Diablo is out, but, yes, we'll get there here in a minute. I got some good Defense/Special Teams (DST)Defense/Special Teams (DST) is a roster selection representing one NFL team's combined defense and special teams, rather than an individual player. So, Godwin Day. Ridley's out, Matt. I'm just telling you, Elick Ayo Manor at $3,000.

48:43

Like, if you need a one fifty type, I think Elick Ayo Manor's in a good spot. Call me crazy. Talk about a stud in college. Yeah, and roasted prom on a Friday night one time. But, yeah, let's move over to tight ends. We do it each and every Week. Brock Bowers trading broad, leading the way from a ProjectionsDFS projections estimate a player's fantasy points for an upcoming slate using expected opportunities, performance and the contest's scoring rules. I'll put a little asterisk next to that because George Kittle does project very, very well today.

49:12

Reason being is, A, he's a man child. He's very good. B, they don't have any receivers, as we've alluded to time and time again. Right. It's kind of a three-headed monster up there. George Kittle going to come in super high-owned because he does project so well, and he's $2,000 cheaper than those top-tier tight ends. How are you handling this tight end position, and how are you handling all of the George Kittle talk?

49:36

It's tough, man, because ultimately, yeah, I'd love to play Bowers or McBride, but salary's a real thing. I know and I can tell how much you like Gibbs and some other guys. You can't play Gibbs and Puka and Baker. You just can't. So you've got to concede somewhere. And I think this is a good place to concede. That said, because I think a lot of people will concede here, it makes going to Bauer's and or McBride in tournaments really appealing. But for me...

50:06

I like the Falcons D and I don't even know how much San Fran scores here, but Kittle and McCaffrey are going to get a lot of the work. Kittle's not priced for that. So I like him here. I also like Kate Otton the most of all of them. He's cheaper, but I think he's the best tight end play on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. I think he gets so much work today with Noah Buka Baker back.

50:34

Like, yeah, I mean, we know Baker really trust him. I'm in on that. Man, that's a tough click. Like you think what does he have to get at $3,100 bucks like fifteen? Which he hasn't gotten double digits all season. I guess what makes you think he's going to get that is because there is no Mbuka. And Baker's back, and I think this offense plays better. The first few weeks of the season, their offense as a whole was awful.

51:05

I like Tampa Bay's offense more than you today, clearly. Yeah, I don't like their offense. I like Bucky Irving offense. I like their passing game here. What about, oh, man, like, who are we playing at tight end? I know you're probably playing LaPorta or Kraft. I don't like Kraft. I do like LaPorta. You have Kraft or LaPorta higher? I like LaPorta better. I like the Lions. I like the Lions offense, too. Yeah, I like the Lions offense better. And then I like Trey McBride, Matt.

51:47

Call me crazy. I know he's expensive, and you're going to have to sacrifice. I do think you are underselling Green Bay's offense just because of Branch being back. And I'm with you. Branch is good. But he's just one guy, and their corners are still awful. Is it more the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Yeah, so hold on. A-Rod doing A-Rod things to seal the game. Let's go, baby. A-Rod. Give him that discount.

52:12

Double check. Sorry. Uh, so a lot of reasons. So one, like love has been very good the last two games, but they've been at home against the Bears and the Cowboys, two defenses that aren't very good. Now he goes on the road to take this lion's team and Aiden Hutchinson there. They're going to have the crowd. It's a division game.

52:34

And I just remember back to this, but when he went to Tampa Bay and he went to Minnesota, like two of his road games, he hasn't played that good. So, and I think you get Josh Jacobs coming back like that, that takes away some of, some of their ceiling to me. So I think on the road. Okay. Personally, you said that earlier and I was going to fight back on that.

52:56

I think Jacobs being, I think Jacobs being back lowers his floor, not his ceiling. Like his ceiling is still there with or without Jacobs because I, I don't know. That's just how I see it. Why am I wrong? Tell me why I'm wrong there. Because they're going to take the air. They haven't been able to run the ball. They threw it all over the Cowboys last Week. That Cowboys stink.

53:23

You had Pierce Strong and Marshall Lloyd rush it like twenty times for like fifteen yards. Like I just think they'll pick up first downs like through the ground and not, I don't. Okay. You know, I get what you're saying. I mean, just like limit, it'll limit like the amount of attempts. Like I get it. I know what you're saying. And that's an interesting angle to take.

53:45

I still think, I still think the Detroit defense is bad enough where you can play almost anyone against them. And I'm not worried about the home road splits, but to all those points, there's a lot of ownership with love. So like that matters a lot. Yeah. I got eight point three percent of my one fifty thirteen teams with love. So and I just I just I'm just low on love today and I'm super high on Detroit's defense, which we'll get to in a minute.

54:10

But I do feel like naturally whoever – I feel like naturally whoever the highest quarterback is on the slate, you always don't like, though. Yeah, probably. Hey, that's why I'm on the ContrarianA contrarian play or lineup is one built around choices most of the field will not make, such as low-owned players, unpopular teams or an unusual salary structure.Pick one or two contrarian spots per lineup and ground each in a real reason. The rest of the roster can look like the field.Read the full definition of Contrarian construction show. I get it. I'm not playing Jordan Love. All right, tight end. Matthew, could I interest you in a tight end in six weeks this season? Thirteen, ten, eleven, twelve, ten, nine targets. I know you're from Ohio, but that is – Five. I didn't mean to disparage Ohioans, Matt, so don't take that personal.

54:46

That's five. Five out of the six weeks. Where are you going with that? Double-digit targets. Double-digit targets. Mr. Trey McBride. Man, Trey McBride's in a smash spot against a defense missing the safety, Halunga, Halunga, however you say his name. They do get Jonathan Cooper back. But Sertan could miss this contest again. Raleigh Moss could miss this contest again. I think Trey McBride, with all the things we've said at tight end, is in a smash spot.

55:17

But he's going to be super low on because of his price. I get it. But talk to me. McBride or Bowers? Why'd you have to ask me that? Oh, man. I wanted to put you on the hot seat. I'm going to go McBride. I like them both. I like them both. Yeah, same. I like them both, too. I like McBride also for all your points. How fun got out. How fun. There you go. Yeah. Defense hasn't looked as elite anyways. They're on the road.

55:44

And I think there's points. I think this game's sneaky. So I'm with you. I like McBride also. I also like Bowers. So talk about being different, playing both. Yeah, that's – I mean, if you do that, you're obviously sacrificing the big boy running backs. I think you're sacrificing too much because you need like – what do you need if you play them both together? Like, thirty costs from both, I feel like. I mean, that's – I mean, can it happen? Yes. Is it Likely?

56:07

I say not very Likely. Yeah. So you might as well just play Likely. Ooh, Likely? Yeah. I was playing off you saying Likely, but Likely himself, yeah, is in play. We talked about McCarthy. If you're playing McCarthy, it's really only Nabers and Likely right now.

56:28

Yeah, I don't want to give in to what everybody else is talking about with these tight ends, but, man, I just don't see – I don't see a situation where any of these other tight ends outside of the Bowers, McBride, Kittle, LaPorta, Kraft are needed. Like, who could possibly be needed? Patton. Otten. Okay, Otton. I'm with you on Otton. I'm with you on Otton. Yeah, because of the price. That's it, though. I'm with you. But honestly, tight end is volatile. Like, two touchdowns here or there.

56:56

Like, Fannin. But who? Like, who's going to get that? Fannin. Like, probably not. You know what I mean? Higbee. Yeah, Higbee's not bad. But when the coup went in, yeah, like, yeah. Gasicki. You know, like. Oh, man. Remember we had a bet two weeks ago. He caught a touchdown on the first drive. It was his only catch of the game. Your boy. Yeah, your boy. Don't just actually beat him. Don't just beat him. He was awful, too. That was a bit sad.

57:32

He was awful. He had one catch, seven yards, and a touchdown, six point seven. I thought I was doomed after that first drive. Oh, man. That's funny. I forgot about that. Yeah. That's really funny. All right. Oh, I'm excited to hear your D takes. Hold on. Let me. So D takes, I'm gonna let you go first. Cause man, I got some good, I'm dialed in on defense today. I'm going to scroll down to the bottom. Cause they're, they're all at the bottom.

58:04

I figured. I'm with you on the Falcons. I'm with you on the Falcons. $2,200 bucks, Matt. They're in a smash spot. I love the Falcons, but why do you like the Falcons? Niners missing so many bodies at home. Terrell Brothers back. They actually played decent after the first half against the Bears. They're so cheap. I think they're too cheap for their talent level. So I like the Falcons. I also like the Titans.

58:27

Watson on the road talked about his bad QB play for most of the game, even though he's been awesome in the fourth quarters. The Dolphins against the Jets here, I think, look good at $2,300. Yeah, I like the Titans and the Falcons. I think the most. I do think that the Texans and Vikings up top are also in play. Your points are well taken about Houston safeties, but ultimately it's still J.J.

58:52

McCarthy and a bad Giants offense and a great Houston D-line, you know? Yeah, really good. And I'm with you there. I'm with you there with the Titans, the Finns, and they're both super cheap. And then the Texans are not super cheap, but I get your point. I'm more or less – I would like to go away from them just because they are going to be so popular and defense is so fickle, but all your points are taken. So, I'm with you on the Falcons.

59:24

I'll tell you the reasons why. You said it already. The schedule maker is like – To me, it's almost not fair. And maybe I'm just looking into it too much. Like you play on Monday night and then travel three time zones and play in the early window on Sunday. Just not real fair for the Niners. And they're missing their dudes. So, yeah, give me this Falcons defense. I love them at $2,200 bucks.

59:48

Next up to me would be this Cardinals team. It's strictly a Bo Nix play at $2,400. I don't love them. They were flying around that football last Week, though, Matt, but. Defense is so random. I would never argue with any D ever, honestly. All right. Well, you may argue me with this one. Titans are $2,600. All right. I've told you all show how much I don't like Jordan Love because the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Why can't the Lions, the Packers have like the worst, like top three worst offensive lines in football? That's a fact. It's been a revolving door. Why can't Aiden Hutchinson and Lee McNeil? Like, there are so many spots where love isn't good, and you need the defense that scored a touchdown or two. You know what I mean? So, like – I just don't think, I don't think there's as much, it could be certainly. And like, you're playing off the love ownership. I just don't think it's like as simple as, Oh, all this love ownership. If love fails, then the Lions D is what I need. I don't think it works like that.

1:01:38

But to your point, I do think that love is going to be really highly owned and the lion defense is quite frankly stinks. So they're not, they're good. That's the thing. They're not bro. They're awful. First off, not even just what I'm saying, not even just what I'm saying. They have the worst cornerback room in the league. Look at their numbers, man. They've given up like the most yards to wider. Like, look at their numbers. How can you say they're good?

1:02:04

Hold on, he missed that field goal? What happened? No, their pass rush is very good. Their back end is bad. But Brian Branch, you've been watching that boy since them Alabama days. He is a difference maker. He's good, no doubt about it. He's very good, but he can only do so much. He can only do so much. I think this is the – I've been wrong plenty of times, and I'm sure people will tell me about my Lamar Jackson, Derek Henry take.

But to me, this is the cheapest they've been all year long in two-plus years. They're cheaper than the Titans. The Titans are not a good defense either. They're just popular because they're cheap, they're at home, and they're playing Deshaun Watson. I think this is the ultimate spot for the Lions. I'll have plenty of them as – We both said it. Defense is so fickle, so I would never recommend locking a defense in.

1:02:58

But I think if you want to get different and you want to be a Contrarian and you want to get to the top of the mountaintop, I don't think the Titans D is that high on is the other thing. I mean, they're the highest on defense on the slate. That's not what I'm seeing at certain places. So, you know, I think it's depending on where you look. I'm looking at a couple places have the Texans by a lot.

1:03:22

I mean, the Texans would be, I would say, two or three. Then the Finns would be the other two or three. Yeah, I mean, I'm looking at four different spots, and the Titans are number one, but we can talk about that when we get off the hill. I just think the Lions are in a great spot. I get it. I dig it. I mean, I got no issues with it at all.

1:03:41

And then my last one, and then I'm going to see if there's anything in the chat. My last one, a higher-owned – would be the Broncos. And because he's not a good Person, but they do get Jonathan Cooper back, who's a good edge rusher, and he's going to speed things up. Obviously, I'd want Sertan and Moss back. We've already talked about Hufanga being out. But I think that if you can speed up Jacobs – get him into passing situations.

1:04:11

That's another offensive line, the Cardinals, that is not very good. And we saw what this Broncos defense did last year when they were fully healthy. And I understand they're not fully healthy now, but they got the pass rushers is what I want with my defense. So I think a high-priced Broncos defense looks very nice. Cool. Let's look at some of these other Ds. Yeah, Tampa D. Yeah, go ahead. No, I'm good. We just got to speed it up a little bit.

1:04:39

Yeah, all right. That's it. Tampa, any other defense that you want to touch on? I don't think so. Okay, Titans will be, yeah. All right, that's it. I was long-winded today. Apologies to Matt. Apologies to everybody out there. Twenty-three minutes left to divvy up your teams, and I got some work to do myself. Appreciate each and every one of you tuning in. Good luck. We got any favorite plays and stuff. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was getting rushed.

1:05:03

All right, when the smoke settles, Matt, and the dust clears outside of the Lions, who are you going to have in your team that's going to win you a million dollars? That's a really good question. The guy I love today, Amon Ross St. Brown. Amon Ross St. Brown. I love that as well. Man, I got to go build a team. Amon Ross, I love. I've said it all show. One time, please, Mr. Irving. Do it for me. Do it for all those ducks.

1:05:33

Do it for everybody, Bucky. Bucky Irving, my top player of the day. Matthews is Amon Ross St. Brown. Good luck tonight in those contests. Join us at five o'clock. I was thirty minutes late last time. Five o'clock Central, six o'clock Eastern. Nades and I will be here for the Sweat Down Show. Just ship it.
