CFB DFS – WEEK 3 | Saturday Slate | DraftKings DFS Picks, Plays and Process

Man, you can break it down a little bit, but this Georgia team, we don't really have a lot of data because they've been plummeting people. And what, two to three plays a drive against Western Kentucky, it seemed like. Gunner Stockton expensive, but he's going to project well. Nate Frazier, if he's the guy, I love him in this spot at $6,700. The wide receiver room. There's I mean, the thing is, here's the thing.

Nate Frazier has only had ten carries this entire season, but he's gotten scores. He's gotten yards. Bowens and Phillips are the guys behind him. This wide receiver room. The only guys who quote unquote started both games are Isaiah Canion and then tight end Ethan Barber, who is a former four star recruit a couple of years ago. Talon Taylor in there. London Humphreys is there. Elias Williams and loss and lucky split starts, but they're both involved. Lucky has the name cred.

Um, and then like Sokovi White Helton is projected to be the slot starter according to the depth chart that was finalized two weeks ago. And then, I mean, even Craig Dandridge was on the field early in these blowouts. So like this rotation is going to be tough to predict, but for Georgia, once we get, once we get into the season, you're going to want these guys right now. I think they're just cheap.

Um, So if you want to take a shot on these guys, I don't mind. We just don't know a whole lot. And on the Arkansas side, in contention for the worst, Power Four team. Definitely in the SEC, but Power Four team. I mean, KJ Jackson got benched last week, so I don't like his prospect here against Georgia either. Sutton Smith, I don't even know how much these guys. Chris Marshall, maybe because he's getting the target share.

Like CJ Brown is getting a lot of targets, but he had zero catches on five targets last week. So Are you looking at the Arkansas side and how do you approach a jumbled mess like Georgia when we have very little like snap count data? I guess I'll start with Arkansas because that'll be quick. No. I mean, if Marshall was like fifteen hundred dollars cheaper, I'd consider it.

Um when I initially looked at this slate I just kind of looked over georgia I'm like I really like Gunner Stockton feels like he just it feels like he was always $8,000 something last year and he kind of feels expensive and I kind of prefer like there's five quarterbacks that are above $9,000 he's not my first option but as I kind of thought about it I'm like you know this is an sc sec game I mean projected to be a blowout but it's really like I would be kind of surprised if it was like there's no starters on the field in the fourth quarter.

It's not going to be like Georgia playing Western Kentucky who lost to Nevada by like five touchdowns the week before that. That being said, I don't mind some shares of Stockton and Frazier I'm really coming around on. I mean... Gosh, just imagine if he gets ten carries. If he doubles his season workload, I mean, it could be enough. I generally lean that I think Frazier will get some more work here, so he's fine.

I don't know if he's in the top fifteen touches, though, but he could do a lot with that, especially if he's winning that wrestling touchdown battle with Stockton. As far as the receiver room goes, I kind of considered it, but there's just so many better cheap options that I don't feel like I need to take Like I think one catch or two catches for fifty yards and a touchdown isn't really good enough from like these Georgia guys.

And I kind of feel like that's all their ceilings. Like they're not going to get their own volume. You're going to get their scoring touchdowns. So for me, Georgia is just Stockton or Frazier. And hopefully one of them gets the mass majority of the Russian touchdowns and it's not too split. But yeah, nothing too exciting here to start the slate. But there is a couple pieces. Yeah, and it.

It very well could happen as the season goes along, but we don't have a Zachariah branch in this wide receiver room who was criminally underpriced week after week last year and got a heavy target share. He was actually probably around this Sokovi White-Helton price, but he would, he would garner the tires. And didn't Ryan Silverfield make some comments about Georgia earlier in the off season bulletin board material about their, their delinquencies.

And I don't know, it's something about how getting a speeding ticket's a weekly occurrence in that locker room or something like that. Like, Like, you don't need to give Georgia bulletin board material when you're at Arkansas. Like, it just, whatever. Anyway, so if Georgia holds grudges, they could just beat the brakes off of them. Arizona State at Kansas, the first thing to mention in this game, obviously looks competitive, but it's in London at Wembley Stadium. And this is a discussion we can have.

Is this going to be, oh, the field conditions overseas are always not as good? We see it every like year after year. These games are mostly boring and slow and sloggy. But most of the time when we see the overseas games, it's week zero. So is it an international travel thing? Is it a field condition thing? Is it it's the first week of the season and we're still working out or kicking off the dust sort of thing?

So that's that's I think an internal debate people will have to have with themselves. But Cutter Boley at $7,600 and he had a couple of picks against A&M, but he looked pretty good and has a better matchup here. Uh, so like right in that mid range, a solid option. Kyson Brown, uh, feels under priced for his workload. Uh, $5,800. Uh, I know there's a lot of pay up quarterbacks and a few pay up running backs that we'll really be looking at.

So maybe Kyson Brown kind of falls by the wayside a little bit, or maybe he's the value option people look at. Uh, but Reed Harris, Amari and Miller in this wide receiver room, they're priced up, but for good reason, just everything is going to them early in the season. Reed Harris has had just two blow-up games, but he's not even getting the targets that Miller getting. The difference is Reed Harris still has two more catches and two hundred more yards than Omari and Miller.

So you're looking for big, explosive days. Reed Harris is your guy. There's a reason he's $7,300. Raden Vines Bright, just a cheap, cheap guy that, you know, maybe maybe can get there. He eventually might get more of this target share, but that's still unknown. And then for Kansas, Cole Bullard is doubtful. So that means we'll see Isaiah Marshall with less likelihood of his usage getting eaten into, less likely that he'll have snaps taken away.

The running back room is Yassine Willis and Dylan Edwards. Neither one has really popped at all yet this year. And Arizona State's run defense actually looked okay against A&M. The score is a little bit skewed. We'll probably talk about that more when we get to A&M. But I... It looks like it's a complete split between Willis and Edwards and Jalen Dupree is probable.

So if he comes back and gets into this rotation, it just kind of muddies everything up even more. And then the wide receiver room, it's basically Nick McMillan. But at $6,900, you definitely have to to maybe give pause or consider what that does to the rest of your lineup with the other pay up options. But Cam Puckett is questionable again. He didn't really do anything last week. Maybe they should have waited. To bring him back.

And then like Keaton, Kabeca, Carlson Bruin, Najee Cox, those are the other guys, but it really seems like McMillan in this wide receiver room. But if it, I mean, this game looks competitive on paper and it's one of those that we look at as like, oh, if the over hits, like if each team scores one more touchdown than they're projected, there could be a lot of fantasy goodness in this game.

Yeah, I don't, you know, I think you make a good point with the London thing. Like usually it's the first game of the season. You know, that being said, this is a new thing for each of these teams. I don't really know. I don't think there's really a way to quantify it. I guess kind of going starting with the Kansas side for me, like I just I don't have any interest.

Like I kind of want to have some interest in like you said, Willis, but I don't like the like I think Kansas is going to be playing from behind. So I don't really like that game script for Elston Willis. And Nick McMillan just feels too expensive to me compared to the other pay up receiver options. So like it's just like Kansas is just very mad to me. I think that I just might be out as a whole. Like Isaiah Marshall, I don't know what to think about him.

Like I'm trying to think of like who to compare him to. Like maybe like a Thomas Castellanos that's like not as good as Thomas Castellanos. Like he's just... He runs some, so that's good, and he can make some plays, but it's never pretty. It's just, I don't know, it's one of those deals, I guess. I'm kind of not interested in Kansas. Last week, one of my calls that I wish I really would have paid off more is I really like the Arizona State receivers.

Both of them are one percent. I had ten percent Harris, seven percent Miller, and I couldn't get anything pieced together right.

So the difference between this week and last week is Harris is up fifteen hundred dollars miller's around the same price um gosh like I want I want to like they see like it feels kind of scary being like underweight on reed Harris um I think I want to have some I just don't know if I want to be overweight I um you know with these other like good pay-ups on this plate I don't want to um want to be right there or not Hold on.

I got my dang headphone out of my ear. I can piggyback that a little bit too. It's really what it does to the rest of your lineup. If you pay for Reed Harris, does that limit your Shepard exposure? Does that limit one of these? Like you said, four or five pay-up quarterbacks. You can even expand that into the Marcel Reed Camario Taylor and the high eight Ks.

It's going to be tough to fit an expensive wide receiver in unless you start dumpster diving with either a quarterback or a cheaper running back which there are a few options but yeah look at your entire line of construction and and one thing to say for these Arizona state guys and it's like one thing I kind of find to be continue to be true why dillingham is there they feed their guys like harrison miller are getting a vast vast target share so one thing about it you can kind of bank on the volume it's just a matter of how efficient it's going to be tyson brown I think he's probably my favorite play from this team.

I don't know. I feel like there's going to be a breakout where he just starts getting twenty-five opportunities or more a game. I don't know when it's going to be, but maybe it's here overseas. Yeah, then Boley's fine. I mean, obviously, I want him stacked with Harris or Miller or Harris and Miller as far as that goes.

But yeah, those four guys for Arizona State, especially the skill position guys, is where I'm kind of sticking the the lane there yeah and I mean kyson brown got thirteen carries against Texas a m in a game script that was probably like more path heavy and he had almost five yards of carry now he had more than five yards of carry uh eclipsed it by a yard so an effective runner in limited uh unlimited time on the fair limited opportunity uh jay steele's in the house saying I'm in the house as well I see that uh that avatar, photo, whatever you want to call it, Ohio State.

We'll get to that in a moment. I don't know how much we'll talk about that game because I think everybody knows the answer. But before we get to that, we got to talk some ACC action, North Carolina at Clemson. If you saw the preview tweet, one of the item lines in that preview tweet, is Clemson good? I don't think so. But yet, their favorite at home against North Carolina. Now, if you buy into the home team gets three points, this is a toss-up.

So we have Billy Edwards at $5,900. Nice value option if you want to go down at quarterback. He does have a little bit of running ability. We just haven't seen it this much this year. The running back room is a lot more difficult. It's going to split between Hall, June, and McGill. Ben Hall has gotten both of the starts, but DeMond June has gotten three touchdowns. But all of them were against East Tennessee State. So read into that how you will.

And McGill's probably going to be involved too. The wide receiver room, it's basically Shipp and Thurman. I know Thurman had some breakout plays in that first game against TCU. Both of them had eight targets in that game. Both of them are in the low to mid four Ks. So some salary relief there for the top two pass catchers.

And I think I wouldn't be surprised to see everything funneled to those two again because they're clearly the most talented guys in the room, or at least Billy Edwards favorites. Then on the Clemson side, Vazina is hurt slash benched. He was listed, labeled as doubtful on DK, now listed as probable on the availability report. I would roll with Tate Reynolds in this game, and that's where my gut is in terms of DFS, too.

He's dual threat, decent value, and North Carolina doesn't necessarily scare me other than the fact that I don't know how fast this game is going to go. Gideon Davison will be the lead back here, but Chris Johnson will be involved and Reynolds will eat into both of them. So it's, they're again, cheaper running backs. But then the wide receiver room is a little bit easier to predict. TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco getting fed.

Tyler Brown, a bit of a drop off, but he's still like above the rest of the room. The thing with Wesco, though, is he's only got a fifty percent catch rate. So that is a little bit concerning. But both both T.J. Moore and Bryant Wesco were like seven to eight guys at different times last year, at least in case for T.J. Moore. I know he was underpriced a lot, but I don't know.

It's a lower scoring projected game, but I think the value comes with it enough that you can consider some of these guys. Yeah, this game just, I don't know, like, this doesn't excite me at all from either side, really. I mean, North Carolina, Billy Edwards is cheap, but I don't really feel like going there. I don't think he has, like, I mean, if he throws three touchdowns at, like, two hundred yards, that's still not going to be enough here. You know, Thurman's look good.

I'm still not, I mean, wild about Shipper Thurman. I mean, the projections there, they're probably fine. I'll probably have some sprinkles, but just as like one offs and then Clemson is just, oh, they're just a mess. I don't mind the top two receivers, but, you know, and even TJ Moore had a pretty good game last week, but I mean, they're often sucked against Georgia Southern. Like, I don't know really what to expect here.

There's just a lot better spots on the slate, um, You know, Tate Reynolds does have that rushing upside. I just, I don't know. There's just better spots for me. I mean, he had, you know, he had the volume last week. We didn't do nothing with it. But yeah, pretty much, this game is just pretty much a pass for me. I just like, I like better game environments on this slate. And both these offenses are so bad, it might make the defenses look good.

I don't know. Yeah. And the other thing to consider too is, A, it's the ACC. B, it's not the top tier ACC teams. Clemson has fallen from grace for sure. I think that's pretty clear by now. And if you watch the Thursday night game at all, those teams looked awful. I know that Pittsburgh was out there top running back. Steve Angeli looked awful, but his offensive line didn't do many favors. We had fourth string running back scoring touchdowns early in the game.

Like it just, it's, At the very least, it's a little bit more unpredictable. And I just, I don't know that it's not a good conference overall. And these two teams are, I would consider bottom half power four, maybe even bottom half ACC. I don't know if I can go as far as saying it's a conference, but it's gross. It's gross. A lot of gross teams in the ACC this year.

But like you said, it's a very, some nice prices, some nice projections on these guys, but take the slate in as a whole. And put guys side by side with each other and see, okay, do I really want to play somebody from North Carolina? But, yeah, I think you can still consider some of those guys, but it's not super comfy. Okay. Kent State at Ohio State. I didn't – let me see. Check my notes.

Kent State is a bad football team, and Ohio State – oh, I quoted the big guy. Oh, real, real good. That's really all I wrote down. What more do you need? Jeremiah Smith had sixteen targets last week, twenty five on the season. There you go. I guess props at one hundred and twenty yards or somewhere in that range. I'm not I'm not going to say much. I think we know who both of these teams are. Fifty two and a half point favorites.

It would not shock me if Jeremiah Smith had four catches for one hundred and fifty yards and four touchdowns. It's how do you like you got to keep Ohio State guys in your pool, right?

Yeah yeah you do and I guess I I yeah I guess I'll start I have nothing to say about kent state um so as far as ohio state goes I guess there's really not much to be said about Jeremiah Smith he's the best wide receiver play on the slate like from a raw points projective perspective and I mean

He is top three on the slate and just raw points in general over any position um

So there's not really like he is what he is where you kind of have to make decisions is with like the court like do you want to play saying at all well if I'm going to play saying I don't think saying gets there without a big game from Jeremiah Smith and I really don't I think that he that takes two pass catchers with him still like he needs three hundred and four to pay off that price in the GPPGPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Full explanation ↗ and not to say because he's he's done that a lot like it's really surprising when ohio state is on the slate and usually it's a ten a.m game and those sand smith stacks that just go off for like seventy five points they'll sit there

And linger and linger all day and then you'll look in the top ten and there will be some saying smith stacks um you know it's just it's um it's a weird deal. I I'll definitely play sand doubles. Like I will, and all of them are going to have Smith, but I'll make some, some McEwen, some Enos, maybe even some Chris Henry Jr. For the blowout, um, you know, blowout effect.

And, uh, yeah that's what I'm going to do is say and then Bo Jackson like I guess this is the question I posed to myself and I was considering him would I rather play Bo Jackson at $8,400 or Jeremiah Smith at $8,400 and that kind of summed it up for me like I'm I'm not interested in paying that much for a running back in this type of blog to get a hundred and two touchdowns and that's not good enough for his price so um and I don't think he gets that they've just been very well

Bays played well too Isaiah West was supposed to contribute more yeah legend bay is interesting he's somebody I'm considering when I went through my player pool um like he's a fair enough price and that is probably your cheapest way to get good exposure to ohio state but yeah I think just you know if you're building one lineup I think Jeremiah Smith should be a part of it but that's really all I have to say about this this barn burner of a game Yeah.

Yeah. And legend Bay played some quarterback in high school too. So I'd be interested to see if they work him into that at all. I mean, they didn't against both state. I don't, at least I don't remember. Uh, but the Cape, the capability is there. And if you guys do have questions as we go along, even if it's a game, we already went over, uh, feel free to ask him in the chat.

We can, we can get to them throughout the show or at the end, however, however it all ends up going. But, uh, we have a similar game coming up Buffalo at Penn state, another big spread. I mean, another game, this just reminds me that the game, the slate was sixteen games when DK first released it and they reduced it to twelve. You could argue that maybe Penn State should have gotten the ax, Ohio State should have gotten the ax.

But if I know anything about DK, they're going to keep the big name programs on there to attract eyes, regardless of what the spreads are. We're never going to get the American Conference games that are a sixty point total and a three and a half point spread over Ohio State or Penn State or some of these bigger programs. Which is unfortunate, but it's something we live with. On the Buffalo side, Elijah Holmes is injured.

So it's a good high likelihood we see Jason Wright. This running back room, I don't know if you're touching it against Penn State. And then Chance Morrow, Kenny, one guy that you've talked about throughout the week that if you're looking at Buffalo, maybe he's the guy you look at just because of his touchdown upside so far this year. But You followed that quickly by saying Buffalo is just a bad football team.

But then on the Penn State side, we have a price increase again for Rocco Beck pushing $9,000. It it's not easy to look at and stomach, but you're probably going to get an ownershipOwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Well, Carlson Hansen got nineteen carries last week, which is the volume we're looking for. But in terms of the effectiveness of his running so far, It's it hasn't paid off this $7,300 price tag.

It very well could hear another guy who might get overlooked for that reason. And then Kobe Howard, what did he have a big play at the beginning of the game and not really do a whole lot last week? The Iowa State guys that are over here in Seoul and Bramer and Eskilsen. Seoul, I think, looks good. He always looks good if he can stay healthy. Bramer is a favorite target of Beckton, and it looks like that has continued into this year.

Eskilsen had a little bit of a dip last week, but I think across the board, there's five or six guys you can look at on this Penn State side. Yeah, Penn State's been kind of weird to project because they run the ball a lot more than they pass it, but they pass the ball a lot more efficiently than they've been running it.

Um that is just a little bit of sticker shock for me I don't know and his receivers aren't cheap enough like if all these guys were a thousand dollars cheaper I'd be interested in playing some back and pairing him you know this isn't your $7,600 bet that we used to love in the afternoon that would manage to get there somehow with his rushes and touchdowns um so I'm not super interested in him the Hansen did get the volume last week I'm just like this I don't know Last week they played Temple, and Temple is, I think, a better team than Buffalo.

They seem to play Penn State better than, like, Marshall the week before. So I'm anticipating this to be more like Penn State-Marshall than Penn State-Temple. Kobe Howard I probably will take some shots on, but these other guys, Sol's priced up. Brandon Reno caught the two touchdowns, but I don't really bank on that. And then Esseldine saw a drop off in snaps last week. So Penn State, they got a good total.

I think it's just going to be too spread out because Buffalo is such a poor opponent. And Chance Morrow, gosh, he's... He's just like a hair too expensive. If he had a four in front of his price, but he's, I mean, he's averaging basically nine catches of two and a half touchdowns a game over the first two weeks. Granted that was against Albany and then they lost FIU last week. And I mean, when they beat Albany, they squeaked by Albany. So I'm not super interested in that.

Like, I just, I don't know. I mean, the volume could be there. It's still something I'm thinking about. I'm probably going to pass, but if you did really want to play a Buffalo Bull, Chance Morrow a guy. But that's really all in this game. We've got finally getting, well, almost some better games here. Yeah, we're almost there. We're almost there. You mentioned the good old days.

Those two dirty games, the big twelve games, he was like $6,500 some of those weeks. He was cheaper than both Hart and Sama. And then he'd snipe two rushing touchdowns at the goal line and running circles around people. It's yeah, it's, this is not your, not your mama's Rocco back. But the one guy that has looked really good this year. Well, I mean, A couple guys have, but Usman Kroma, $5,200, even against Alabama. This is kind of a friendly price. He's got a hundred yards and a touchdown in each game so far. And like they haven't looked great at Florida State as a whole, but he's still producing. So can he continue that against Alabama? I mean, the potential is still there.

Singleton has been the number two guy all year, $4,400. The money has gone to Trey Wisner, but is he going to play? What do we do with Trey Wisner? In my mind, I don't think we can do anything until we see a snap count bump or usage bump of any sort. He didn't even see the field in their last game. Maybe he got lost when the lights went out. Who knows? In the pass catching room, stick shock in the other direction.

Deuce Robinson what was he $8,000 in week zero is seven something and now he's all the way down in the $3,000's because he's been buns like he like is it I don't think it's him I really don't I don't think he's got a good quarterback uh same thing I mean so that's something all these guys have in common they're all in the $3,000's and they all have a pretty poor quarterback so it's I feel like I want to take some shots on Deuce, but it's not the easiest pill to swallow just based on recent performance, and now they're playing at Bama.

And Bama doesn't forget what happened last year. I'm all but certain. I mean, I know Ryan Coleman-Williams doesn't. Lazier Brooks doesn't. The running back's gone. DeBoer certainly doesn't. But Q and Russell didn't do much for us last week. Still talented. Still do threat. This is a much easier matchup. Daniel Hill. Had a pretty big bump in volume last week and look pretty good. Um, but we had touchdowns from a couple of these other guys.

Kevin Riley has seemingly phased out and we're not going to get an injury report for this game, but $1,000 deer is, has still got to be on the horizon here. He's as soon as he steps back onto the field, um, this running back from could get turned on its head a little bit. Daniel Hill did his best to make sure he's not going to get benched for it. Uh, but then the, the pass catchers, uh, Coleman Williams, I mean, he's, Just expensive.

Lazier Brooks, you get a big discount for another guy who's going to be on the field a ton, and he's gotten some targets this year. And Rico Scott on the field a ton just hasn't gotten the targets that Coleman Williams and Brooks has necessarily. But another guy in the three Ks, and maybe he likes Scott more than any of the $3,000 guys on the other side.

I think Alabama is going to blow him out, mostly because of the quarterback on the Florida State side.

Yeah I mean this I mean alabama is definitely not looking ahead this year I just gosh I've I've been pretty heavy on alabama these first two weeks and it definitely hasn't really paid off like they're just like the touchdowns are getting so out like all the these top three running backs are all scoring and then you know there's that just takes up so much um I'm probably gonna get sucked in again even though they feel too expensive um you know especially with keelan Russell like keelan Russell's probably my favorite plane I don't mind playing him by himself and just trying to get that rushing upside that we saw first week of the season maybe um but yeah there's just not

Ownership of Deuce Robinson I don't mind like taking a birdie big overweight stance and just hoping But even if they're getting the crap kicked out of them, maybe Ashton Daniels can connect a couple times Gosh, it's insane to think that like Florida State's passing game got worse like as bad as it was like how can it get worse and here we are but Yeah, and then chroma Chroma's really good. It'd be nice to be able to play a cheap running back on this slate.

I mean, you can obviously poke holes in him. Just being a road dog isn't really a good spot for a running back, but I just think he's really good. I mean, he's a big part of the reason that SMU game was even competitive. I don't really know how good SMU's defense is, but the last couple years have kind of had a better run defense than past defense, been somewhat of a pass funnel.

Um but yeah I'll probably have some shots on chroma and deuce and even like danzy but yeah this game just is it's really hard to make any decisions and so like as far as single entrySingle-EntryA single-entry contest allows each user exactly one lineup. It can be a cash game or a tournament.In single-entry, one or two contrarian decisions are usually enough. Probably more than I needed to talk about this game. No, and I mean, there's a lot to talk about. For a nineteen and a half point spread, there are more talking points, I think, in this game than your average blowout look. And with Chroma too against SMU, he would look even better, but he had a big chunk taken away. I don't know how they ruled him stepping out of bounds. I didn't think it was close watching, but they didn't have replay.

With the electricity issues, they didn't have replay to review it. I'm like, oh, that's thirty yards off the board or whatever it ended up being. Right. We do have a question and I don't mind going back. The Georgia game. We talked about these wide receivers and it's just the biggest thing is not knowing. What this offense looks like, because there's a very, very, very small sample size.

If I was going to stack Gunnar Stockton, I actually don't mind stacking him with Nate Frazier.

But if you want a pass catcher I feel like isaiah canyon is going to be the guy or if you really need some savings uh lost and lucky on name credit alone is one that I would look at look at if you're stacking georgia kenny I know we talked about these guys but maybe not stacked specifically yet um do you have a favorite or is it just roll the dice if you're stacking I I just to be honest I wouldn't even bother like even in a large field I mean you could but I just don't see the upside for many of these guys yet.

In three weeks, that's probably going to be a different answer. But it's just hard telling, and it's not worth the risk to me. If I get burned by one, I'm fine with that. I think Gunnar's fine.

And then the second part of that question is, uh no like when uh you know I know you kind of missed the part but what I basically talked about is Stockton or Frazier and hope one of them really eats up the russian touchdowns but that's where I'm at on on this game yeah and a little bit of a repeat for the people who've been here but uh the comment mentioned might be late on this but it's not about whether you're late to the party it's whether or not you come to the party and we're happier here if you join for the first five minutes last five minutes the whole time anywhere in between We're welcoming questions.

We're welcoming everybody. Anybody who loves college football and DFS college football is welcome here. All right, we're getting closer. Sixteen and a half points. Oh, no, I just looked at the next game. We're going to get further away. Kentucky at Texas A&M, the team that Bama just played. Kenny Minchie is cheap. I just don't know how you feel about it in a road matchup against Texas A&M.

And not that it's the scariest team, but their defense is, I mean, historically above average at the very least. CJ Baxter and Jason Patterson are in a split, and Joe Barnes even got involved, but barely. They put him on the field, and he saw a handful of snaps.

The pass catchers, I'll let you break down the pass catchers a little more because I know there's a guy you like here quite a bit, but they're cheap, and the target share seems to be going to Rodriguez and Darby, and they're virtually the same price, so pick your poison if you're looking that way. The rest of these guys, I know Nick Anderson has the talent, but he's kind of just underperformed his entire career with a few spike games here and there.

On the Texas A&M side, are they good? Is their offense good? They scored forty-eight points last week. Two of them were pick sixes, though, so you can't really look at the entirety of the game and think, oh, the offense exploded. Well, yes, they still scored, what, thirty points, but There's a thirty two point whatever it is, but there's more to the story than that. Marcel Reed at $8,700.

He had three touchdowns, but only one hundred and sixty three yards to go with it. And I know he can run. I know the capabilities there. I just don't know if they'll need him to. And they probably want to preserve him for some of these bigger games. The ground game might get interesting, though, if Jamari Amaro can't go. Ruben Owens is the one A. But if Morrow can't go, that should open things up for him quite a bit more.

So even at $7,200, maybe you give that a look. And then the wide receiver room. I don't know. Horton is the top guy, but last week he had two touchdowns and still did not three X's current price. He had eighteen point three fantasy points because it was three for thirty three and two. That's not going to get you there. Bussies had a decent start to the season. But there's a reason he's cheaper.

Decent start for him is, I mean, still fairly lackluster. Mario Craver has not done anything that we saw for most of last year. You could argue that Craver doing worse because he doesn't have KC Concepcion there. The one thing is if Ashton Bethel-Roman doesn't go, maybe those top three get a little bit of a boost, but you and I talked about it a little bit earlier this week too.

A lot of points for A&M, but it's hard to figure out where the production's going to pay off in DFS. Yeah, Texas A&M just, like, they kind of had last year, they had their shining moments where, like, they were usable, and now it just feels like it's old Texas A&M. Like, Marcel Reed to me right now should be, like, fifteen hundred dollars cheaper. I'd be a lot more interested.

Like, his projection is there, don't get me wrong, but I just, I think it's just, like, the known upside that he has, but he's not doing it um I think I just prefer a lot of other options up top at quarterback than him really the only spot that I want to play with a m is if mara was out playing reuben owens because I mean and the run game has just been super inefficient like everything's just like dink and dunk like low yards for carry um but that I would be very interested in that spot if he is out um and then yeah the receivers bussy's

Only one I have any like really remote interest in right now favorite I feel like he's kind of like he had such a big start to last year and then he really didn't do crap the rest of the year. Like, and I think it's just kind of like continued to carry over that, you know, the elite start he had last year. We haven't seen it yet. Like, obviously, yeah, these guys are getting touchdown, but just the passing volume isn't there. And, you know, A&M might be good.

I mean, there's a lot to be said for having a good defense and good special teams, but this offense is not good in my opinion. I've said a lot of things wrong on this show this year. That might be one of them. At the very least, they're probably overpriced for DraftKings. Yeah, I would definitely agree with that. Yeah, totally. And then the Kentucky side, I don't have any interest in Minchie.

Baxter, I'm waiting for him to take the reins, but they haven't really given him the reins. Kyson Brown showed a little bit last week that they wouldn't really give him the reins either.

I like I want to play a punt running back I want to feel comfortable with the one so he's one I'm kind of considering but him and Patterson have basically had an even workload um and then the receivers so willie rodriguez I just I think he's just a really good football player and I think they want to throw him the ball yeah absolutely and he's like

He's I think he has like he's a really good cash play I think I like just generally weekend week out maybe not on this particular slate there's probably some better plays but he's just that that little safety blanket that um we like to have for a cash cash but that being said I'll probably play with gp some darby's been the other guy that's gotten targets and I mean he's a wide receiver but he's not out there as much as Miller and Anderson.

And I thought maybe that that would change this year with a new coaching staff. I mean, we've had like a, and it's just the same old garbage. So yeah, That's a pass on this game.

I'm not a huge fan of either side. I almost like the Kentucky cheap wide receivers and maybe the Baxter as the game sits right now without knowing the Morrow news. And this is an afternoon game. Granted, we'll get another injury report update, but that is kind of like making it tougher to put Owens in in the morning. But yeah, that's really all I have in this battle. Yeah. And I mean, Kentucky put up seventeen points against Alabama.

So if you look at it on paper, maybe they can do the same against A&M. But one of those was a pick six. So that was that was on Keelan Russell. It wasn't even an offensive touchdown. The offense didn't didn't look particularly great outside of the past. The couple of pass catchers last week. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, this was written up. In my tweet, this Ohio State-Kent State is an in-state rivalry.

So keep that in mind because we have another one. Another in-state rivalry coming up. Utah State at Utah. Twenty seven and a half points spread as it sits right now. I believe that is closed by a point. So maybe some money is coming in on Utah State. The big question mark is what's going to happen at quarterback week one. Hillstead and Broster Houser split, which is never ideal.

But when you have guys at $4,900 and $5,100 that can both run. If you get the guy that gets the touchdowns, it doesn't take much for that to get there. It I mean. If we get news that it's just Broster Houser, $4,900 for a quarterback might be exactly what you need on this slate, because there's we've talked about a lot of payups already, but there are still more to come, including on the other side of this game.

The running backs, I'm not touching with a ten foot Javon Jacobs against Washington last week had negative three rushing yards, if I'm not mistaken. And that's that's less than zero. That's the wrong direction. You're going to get it. You're going to get a snowflake. They should give you two snowflakes for that one on D.K., Uh, pass catchers, Eli Wood is a cheap wide receiver, a $3,700 wide receiver who's got nineteen targets on the year.

When you get alphas, even in these types of matchups, when you have a running quarterback that maybe they don't throw necessarily as much, but you're still getting nine and a half targets a game sub $4,000. Why not? I mean, even even Javon Robinson looks okay, but why pay three hundred dollars more for the second guy? You're looking for touchdown upside or something there. And then Sperling is the guy that's gotten the next most targets, but it's Anthony Garcia getting the snaps.

But I really don't know that I'm looking past Wood. So it's kind of a weird stack. You're playing a quarterback for their rushing upside, but still have one wide receiver you can stack with. And then on the Utah side, speaking of rushing upside, Devin Dampier looks stellar. Got a ton of upside with his legs. The one thing you have to... Have slight pause is that Bird Ficklin plays a lot. They put him out on the field sometimes with Dampier. But, I mean, watch the games.

Look at the box scores. Dampier still feasts. But, you know, this is a situation, too, where I could see playing Bird Ficklin if they didn't price backup quarterbacks like they were starting. Wayshawn Parker is in control of this backfield. $7,000 does seem too cheap for him compared to some of the other running backs. We've talked about now his stats don't necessarily blow you out of the water, but he's involved in the past game and he's got three touchdowns receiving already this year.

So the upside is definitely there at $7,000. You know, he's going to be on the field. He's the running back that's going to get fed. And then Braden Pegan revenge game in from Utah State. Also the top target for Devin Dampier. The thing is, like top target is still only, I believe, eleven targets on the season. And at $6,000 that's where it's, it's decision time for me. I like him as a player. I think he's in a great spot.

He's the number one wide receiver for Utah, but then you got these tight ends, Benay and Hunter Andrews that, I mean, Hunter Andrews, I thought was supposed to, did he, he might've gotten hurt last year after like a big blow up game. And then he was on everybody's radar and then got hurt.

And he kind of fell back and hasn't really gotten all the way back yet, but at $3,200, if you can get ahead of his blow up game, I mean, that's going to pay off. He's probably going to be super, super low ownedLeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. But Benet is interesting because you get a discount from Pegan. Really interested in both sides of this game, which normally you don't talk about for a twenty seven and a half point spread.

Yeah, this is like I mean, honestly, this is my favorite kind of favorite game on the slate. I am. I guess start on the Utah side. Like Dampier, if Bert Ficklin didn't exist, Dampier would probably have like a forty point fantasy projection. But it's just insane how productive he is. So, I mean, not a lot to say there. He's an excellent play. Wayshawn Parker, it's a little bit of sticker shock, but he's super involved. I think he's a great play.

Pagan, I mean, you kind of touched on him. I still think he's a great play. Like there's some upside there. I'm also, I'm pretty sure this could be wrong, but I think that Utah hired Utah State's OC to be their OC. Maybe you might fact check me there. I feel like there's something there. But they had a huge game last week and Andrews is like, he's a tight end, but they'll hand him the ball. Like he's a, he's a real versatile, real versatile player. So the other side, those where I'm like, honestly, like you talked about, it's kind of a weird site. This is my favorite stack on the slate. That being said, I don't know. We don't know a hundred percent that roster house is going to start.

So it might be a situation where you have to play Hillstead and make sure you have money to global slots of roster house.

If you're managing a lot of lineups, like I'm going to be, um but yeah I really like that spot like the uh c robert and I or they I can't remember he um was the oc for like syracuse and garrett schrader was there he was the osu one year at nc state when Brandon Armstrong was there those guys had serious rushing capability I mean roster house ran for over a hundred last week um the you know against idaho state they lost but these quarterbacks split and um and it's still like A little unclear if, like, Hillstead actually got hurt.

I don't know. Whatever it is. But if you combine their totals, they would have had over a hundred yards. So, like, there's a chance that you could have a hundred-yard rushing quarterback at $5,000. Like, if, I mean, and that could be, like, a garbage time. If Utah blows them out, that might be better. Like, because then they're throwing to these guys and just scrambling and trying to make things happen.

Javon Jacobs is, I've said it, like, ten times, but, like, I want a punt running back, kind of.

He had twenty four touches the week before and twenty of twenty carries four catches and last week was obviously horrific which it's I don't know this Utah state they were so interesting to look into because you lose idaho state and then you barely lose to I mean granted a beat up Washington but Washington barely lose and you're productive against Washington like wood and roster house anyways and jevon Robinson had a really good game so I think that these guys can produce against Utah whether it be the starters or garbage time So, like, Eli Wood, like, Broster Houser Eli Wood is my favorite stack on the slate.

And that's, what, $8,600. You're basically, you know, you're getting those two and you're getting a Jeremiah Smith, hopefully. But, yeah, I love the Utah State guys, all them and all their fourteen points. I want them all. So I am. But, yeah, it's it's super interesting. Like, I love game stackingGame StackIn college football, a game stack usually combines a quarterback, his pass catchers and one or more players from the opposing offense.Target games where the spread is close as well as the total high. A high total with a lopsided spread can turn into a blowout where only one side keeps scoring.Full explanation ↗ this. I can play one off. I love this game for the spread of the total. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. Yeah, for sure.

And now two things. First, this weekend, I will be watching to see if the combined roster house Eli Wood will outscore Jeremiah Smith or not, because I think that's actually that's actually a good competition. And then number two, you were correct. Very good poll. Kevin McGiven coming from Utah State as the OC for Utah and peaking came with him and he was an all Mountain West wide receiver last year. So very familiar.

And that's I mean, could very easily be why he's the alpha in this offense right now. SMU at Louisville, another ACC matchup, a very close spread, very high total, two things we like a lot in DFS. Now, what do we do with it when it's SMU, though? That's been an issue for years and years and years and years. Kevin Jennings has been great. $8,200 feels a little bit too cheap for him.

He's a guy I think you could go naked in this game just based on what their passing game looks like. It looks like it's going to be a wash runs repeat from years past. And Louisville gave up three thirty six through the air to Ole Miss. Now Ole Miss SMU make the comparisons with Chambliss in this offense versus Kevin Jennings and his offense. But I think you can get Louisville through the air and a very capable offense. Running backs.

Here's another opportunity for you to look at pump running backs. But Jermichael Green and Kendrick Raphael have basically been in a fifty fifty split and neither one of them has done a whole lot yet this year. I think We've seen them both. Like we've seen Raphael specifically have stellar game. Like he would be like eighty five to ninety percent of the Russian usage when he was a Cal. So we know he can work horse.

It's a matter of if they'll use him that way. E.J. Kelly's probable, though, as well. So he could work into this backfield. But after that, I don't know if they have a healthy running back. So it's probably these three at maximum. But either way, very affordable. Derek McFall might get run in the backfield, even though he's listed as a wide receiver. And for some reason, he's the most expensive wide receiver, which is just something weird. His production came against UC Davis.

But the leaders in this room are Yannick Smith and Ymir Knight. They're getting the most targets. Jalen Cooper is getting a ton of looks as well. Another weird thing is that Theo Mellenolstrom is more expensive than Randy Pittman. Pittman is a guy I'm interested in just because of his price here, but these guys have all been getting usage. They've all been getting looks. SMU historically spreads the ball around. So a little bit tougher, but again, just like SMU of old, they're all cheap too.

We don't have anybody's like over like $4,100 that I'm interested in. So there's there's some value for sure. Now, Lincoln Kienholz on the other side, just a new element to this offense, something that we saw. It's like the complete opposite of Miller Moss. He's a team's leading rusher through two games. When you're looking at yardage, SMUs look good on defense for the most part, as long as their offense doesn't put them in horrible positions or their special teams, maybe more specifically.

But a dual threat quarterback at $7,400 and a thirty point total is always going to get some interest from me. The running back room is interesting. I thought Keywon Brown would be the one on the injury report, but it's Isaac Brown that's listed as probable. He's getting Isaac's getting the volume, but he's averaging three and three point three yards of carry this year, less than five yards of carry against Villanova. And he hasn't been super effective.

Kiwan Brown is off the report, like I said. So it's probably going to be those two. If we see both of them go, it's tough to really look at these guys, especially with keyholes eating into it so much. And now I'm just realizing I pronounced Kienholz and Kienholz both that I got both bases covered. I knew some people from my childhood, it was Kienholz, but I've heard this pronounced Kienholz. So just remember the one that I did correctly.

The wide receivers, Trey Richardson and Lawayne McCoy looked really good and both getting plenty of targets. Both had big play potential. Obviously the price looks nicer on McCoy. You know, we talked about Pittman on the other side, we have another sub $4,000 tight end and Jaleel Skinner, who's getting a decent amount of targets as well. Um, if this is, I haven't looked to see if this is a showdown, but there's a good chance I've had two, I'd have two tight ends in my lineup.

If I was playing this in showdown, uh, which is something I typically fancy. So, uh, Trayson hurry is another guy who he's on the field a ton.

Uh, so at least there's an opportunity for him, but he just hasn't shown much this year, but, uh, high total tight spread, um, but the ball is going to get spread on one side of this too yeah like I mean this is the game that I mean really should be everyone's favorite game on the slate um I guess, yeah, the Louisville side. Isaac Brown's on the injury report. That's crazy because he's just always been such a pinnacle of durability. You know what I mean?

But, yeah, I mean, Kienholz. Are we going with Kienholz or Kienholz? Keenholz? Say it both ways. Yeah, all right. Anyway, he's probably your best. He's your cash quarterback this week probably with his price and what he's shown to run the ball. I personally definitely have to put a hand up because I did not think he was going to be as good as he is. I had some question marks and he's pretty dang good.

So I'm going to definitely hop in on that chain. That was the only thing that Florida State was able to do. That might have been more Ashton Daniels, but they were able to run the ball.

Um so that's kind of does have me a little intrigued he's super expensive so I don't know if I really want to go there um and then these receivers are fine like they're good I think like trey Richardson could be a fine one-off but the rest of them I kind of want to pair in game stats mini sets you know satchel time holds however however it need be done um but yeah louisville's great and then the smu side um I mean kevin Jennings like you would I traditionally I guess two years ago I

Would be like oh I don't you don't need to pair him last year it's like he needed to pair him because he wasn't running this year he's shown to kind of have that running ability back but I still think it's kind of important to pair him just because there's so many options like he probably is going to take one of these guys with him if he does throw for three hundred yards so I think it's important to pair him I don't necessarily think you need to double stack him um but yeah any of these like these top four receivers here that's and I'm kind of like you of all of them like randy pittman to me is the best like option for like just DFS he's not

Um, also now the SMU Florida state game, the broadcast mentioned that, I don't know if it was Rhett last said that I'm going to, if I heard it correctly, it was him that said that Randy Pittman is the best football player on this team.

Um, I think that they really liked it, but I just think that that's, um, you know, as far as from an ownership and getting a piece of this game, that he's a really good, really good spot. Um, And then I guess if I had to pick my next option, it would be Ymir Knight. We haven't seen the production out of him like we have with Smith or Cooper, but I think Ymir Knight playing in that slot, he had some really good games last year.

He just hasn't cashed in on his role yet from a fantasy perspective. Yeah, and then I still like Smith and Cooper. I probably honestly still prefer Cooper just because the ownership to me, Smith and Cooper are the same, and one of them is way more owned than the other one. So that's kind of where I'm at. This game's really good. Oh, and then, yeah, I can't walk there without talking about punt running backs.

When I first started scrolling, I was like, oh, Raphael's $4,800. And then you kind of get to looking at it. It's like, man, him and Green kind of have the same role. I'm probably going to be overweight on Raphael still and just kind of hope that maybe he gets I mean, he got thirteen touches against Florida State. So like if we can like let's say we can just book that. Like that's okay at $4,800 in this game environment.

Like if there's maybe a little upside for a little bit more, but green look good against Florida State, too. So you can't really green could be you could say the same thing for green. Maybe he gets a couple extra touches. So it's it's interesting how to tie all this in together. I might almost like over stack it. And not play these guys as one-offs to get my whole portfolio different. These guys are going to be so popular in every type of format.

These SMU receivers, it's just kind of a guess. It's a perfect spot to just fade the higher-run guys and take some shots in the lower-run ones. I just don't see them as that much different. There's a lot of goodness in this game. There's going to be a lot of these guys in everybody's lineups. I think that that is a good thing.

When it all comes down to it yes yeah and like you said it's about the strings you pull to get ownership leverage not necessarily again we'll go back to tambo it's not who you play it's how you play him and if you play some of these guys extra then it can get you different still have a lot of exposure to this game that that looks really good for DFS all right moving on don't forget to hit the like Button three games left so get your questions in if you got them uh usc at rutgers This spread is closed a little bit.

It was twenty three and a half when I looked earlier this week, now down to twenty one and a half. So money's coming in that this game's getting more competitive. Maybe we could see it close to twenty or nineteen by the time game time hits. One thing I'll say that could be factoring into this line, Trent Mosley out. Another thing that could factor into this line, USC doesn't travel well and now they're traveling three time zones in the more difficult direction.

They're going to lose three hours. The last, is it the last two years? USC is three and seven on the road. And you think, oh, they're probably going to play Ohio State, Oregon. No, they lost to Minnesota on the road too. And that's not good. I know Minnesota is good at home, but there should not, there should be a gap between those two teams. Jaden Maiava though, the most expensive guy on the slate. I still think he's on the radar. He put up huge numbers.

I think he can easily get to thirty. It's just a matter of how does that compare to some of these other guys on the slate? You got to look at the slate as a whole with him. Another running back duo that's very expensive. King Miller been the clear one A. Maybe we see more. There's a lot of maybes in this game. Maybe we see more Wayman Jordan.

But Alston and Wormley are both likely going to be involved if this game goes to script. And it's just, it's, I mean, Jordan maybe because the fourteen hundred dollar discount, but to pay $7,500 for a guy I still think Miller can probably get there, but it just doesn't feel as comfortable as some of these other running backs. And then the wide receiver, like I said, Mosley out.

Dixon Wyatt would probably be the number one on a lot of other teams, even in the power four. To no kinds is maybe. This is a maybe game. Maybe he's back to an even bigger workload this week. I think he almost has to be if we don't get Mosley. Mark Bowman looked great. Uh, finally, um, he's, but they're both kind of in that mid range five to five at $5,500, uh, one X factor. Maybe.

Terrell Anderson gets a heavier workload this week. He played only four snaps on offense last week. Um, but he's off the report. So, uh, it's not like he got dinged up or anything, just like they're easing him back in. And we, he's a guy we thought could push for that number one spot on this team too. They are just, they're loaded at wide receiver.

And then you got a guy like Tucker Ashcraft at tight end too, who had high expectations at Wisconsin, but he's just got to stay healthy. On the Rutgers side, I don't know who's going to start a quarterback. Lonergan is probable, but like Sriracha, pizza sauce, just didn't look good against Boston College. Lonergan didn't look good against UMass. I don't know if it matters who starts.

It's like, do you want your left eye gouged out or your right eye gouged out at I don't know if I'm touching it even at this cheap. Again, the rushing upside for Sirach is there. Antoine Raymond is questionable. He's going to be on my radar if he's healthy at $6,500, normally an eight to $9,000 running back. It's just game script. This spread does not favor a rushing attack, but they'll run the ball with Raymond regardless.

And then I don't know if we need to talk anymore about anyone besides KJ Duff. He could be $10,000 and I'd probably keep him in my player pool. Even at eight one, his average through two games is more than five X. He's got twenty seven targets on the year. Three hundred and thirty three yards, five touchdowns. And did I mention that's in two games, both losing efforts, both against far worse teams than USC. But KJ Duff is a matchup nightmare.

Jordan Houston. Oddly enough, I said I wasn't going to talk about anybody else, but I'm going to because he's got sixteen targets. He's averaging eight targets a game.

At a much friendlier price he just it's it's hard to look past kj duff in this wide receiver room uh this I it's like a it feels like a stack and run backBring-BackIn college football, a bring-back is usually a pass catcher or running back from the team facing your quarterback stack.Pick the bring-back who gains the most when his team falls behind. In football that's usually the opponent's top pass catcher, not a running back who loses carries in a comeback.Full explanation ↗ game but where like pricing wise the stacks are going to be fairly similar you just got to pick the right guy on the side yeah like usc maiva is the most expensive player on this slate And I don't like he's definitely he's probably my least favorite quarterback above $9,000.

So I really don't want to play him. Well, then we looked at this receiver room. There should be some more usage with Mosley out. But where is it going to be? Like it wouldn't shock me if one of these guys goes five X. But it's really hard to guess. I'll probably I'm kind of leaning probably just those top three guys just having some one off exposure there. But I really am undecided.

There should be something really good here for USC, and it's just there's too many question marks. And then the running back room, they're just too priced up to be splitting. And then we've seen USC get real goofy if games get weird.

One thing I will say, I don't know if you looked at who they played in Louisiana last week and lunch at Winfield actually had a pretty good game against them in that the slot receiver for Louisiana had a really good game.

Um you know that being said duff doesn't play the slot he's a I mean that's not really relevant to him because he's so good it doesn't really matter where he plays um I will say duff each game well umass not as much but each game he's been a really slow starter and then got his his got there late not to say that's like the worst thing in the world um But it does bring me some pause with that price tag.

It's kind of scary because we've seen Raymond in bad game scripts do really well because he's such a good football player. You know, questionable getting into this. I'm a little undecided.

I wish he was just out so I could not have to make that decision and just could, like, ignore the Rutgers running back room. But...

I guess you know you're talking about thinking I was like I wonder how many picks the race is going to throw and how many I'm going to go for touchdowns because there's no shortage of interceptions from these ruckers quarterbacks which is I guess that'd be good for kj tough but terrible for usc fantasy perspective so I mean that's just kind of something to think about too this game like you would think there'd be and have more interest with like the studs and the like ruckers has a respectable enough team total but gosh I don't like it I that is super interesting what you brought up with usc traveling I just thought ruckers had like shown anything this year

Who did they just lose to I can't remember who they played on that like it was like a Friday night game I mean umass Boston college right and McKenzie or no whatever his name McKenzie um, ran all over him, but yeah, it's, I don't know. There should be something here, but I really don't feel warm and fuzzy about any of it. So yeah, I just, uh, guess that's pretty much it. I don't think I've really provided much clarity. No.

And so you, I mean, there's some next level stuff here that you're, you're going to find a Ship It Nation factoring in that if USB scores, thirty-five points, twenty-one could be defensive touchdowns. That's something to consider. So they could cover the spread and have very little offensive production. Uh, the travel thing, I saw stats, a couple of stats, something like USC averages in the mid twenties in their road games in terms of offensive output.

But then on the other side with Rutgers, uh, they average like eleven and a half points against it's either top twenty five or top twenty or something top teams. So maybe you just bet the under on this game and use it as some one off opportunities for DFS. Uh, But yeah, it feels like there should be more. And maybe at the end of the day, we're going to see the optimal include a few of these guys from this game.

But it's just difficult to pinpoint where that's going to be. All right. Davis Warren is on the slate again. I feel like he's been on the slate. It's over what I would have bet already in week three. Another triple time zone travel. I think it impacts Spafford way more than it's probably going to impact USC, but Davis Warren at $6,200. Duke looked pretty good against Illinois. I know they gave up points, but Illinois, I think, was a superior team that Duke beat.

So I don't know about Davis Warren in this game. Micah Ford, again, a nice price. But Duke's run defense specifically has looked pretty legitimate this year. But he's one of those guys that they're going to use him regardless. And then same in the pass catching room. It's basically been Benji Blackburn. But now Caden High and Nico Brown are both off the availability report.

So that's going to factor in almost surely, especially if they're on the field a significant amount. One MIM price dart throw, if you're really looking for it, Zion Robinson, true freshman, has an average depth of target of twenty one yards. And he had five targets against Miami. Now, he only caught one of them, but he was playing Miami. Now, if he's going to get that usage against Duke, it very well could look different.

And maybe he catches three to four of those targets and two or three of them are for. Thirty yards. And you're starting to look at a min price guy saying, okay, he's got a flame next to his name. On the Duke side, Walker, he gets sticker checks and, you know, just based on his talent, it's, it's hard to get there. He was improved against Illinois, but it's tough to get worse than four, which is what he had in week one.

And part of the reason that he's looked so bad in the DFS world is because they just give the ball to Nate Shepard, a guy you might have heard of who played DFS. And so far, Nate Shepard has all of the touchdowns. I put in my notes, I was going to make a joke, but I already flubbed. I said he's a shepherd of touchdowns because he's wrangling them all.

I do understand if you have pause because of the $9,200 price tag, but he's another guy that Thirty carries a game, five targets a game. His upside is still, I think, more than five X at $9,200. If you are playing Egott, which I don't know that I'd recommend, you could stack him with Shepard because Shepard is leading the team in targets as well. For those reasons, it's hard for me to get to this wide receiver room.

Haseley is going to be on the field a lot. Burton is the only other guy on the team with a touchdown. And Davis Nicholas could be back, which would muddy things up even more. But, yeah, so it's Shepard, Burton, Hasley have twenty seven targets combined. The rest of the team has sixteen. Maybe that changes if Nicholas comes back. But and it's it's really Shepard on this Duke side. Are you what what are your thoughts on this game?

I mean, a thirty point team total, I would imagine twenty nine and a half of them are Nate Shepard. Yeah, last week, another hand-up situation for me. I just dogged on this Duke team, and then they go beat Illinois.

And I mean you get had a DK flame at the end of the day But I mean through two touchdowns or three, I guess the two of them to Nate Shepard I guess when he put the ball in a separate hand Nate Shepard's hands good things are gonna happen But why can't you get $7,800? Absolutely not. He should be thousand dollars cheaper Give a stick on that train Yeah, Nate Shepard not a lot to add there.

He's obviously awesome and You wanted to bring in one like minor thing Spafford was pretty good against the run against Miami and Hawaii I don't know if you can really consider Hawaii, but I really don't think that's an apples-to-apples comparison here I think Nate Shepard's just fine in any format You know him and Jeremiah Smith.

I think they have the top two projections on the slate probably So, yeah, he's definitely a stable for a lot of lineups and Not interested in the receiver room, and I'll just kind of leave it at that. Here's a question to pose to you. Who would you rather have as your starting quarterback, Davis Warren or Walker Egan? As crazy as it sounds, I think I'd rather have Davis Warren. He's honestly been okay throwing the ball for Spafford this year.

And last year, Duke just got torched by Collin Dixon. Benji Blackburn a tight end, but they throw the ball to him a lot. He had a good game against Miami. It wouldn't shock me if, like, or even, like, if Caden Hyer, you talk about Zane Robinson, had an okay game. But I think Benji Blackburn a really good play in every format. He's, you know, he's that cash tight end you talk about, but he's the number one pass catcher on this team.

I think he's a pretty solid play. Yeah, and then Micah Ford, I just, you'd think the volume would be there, but I'm not super interested in him. I'd rather play other pieces there. I did consider him. But yeah, Blackburn, I think is pretty solid for Spafford. But yeah, gosh, Davis Warren or Walker Egan? What do you think? I think I'm with you. Walker Egan is the product of Danny Scudero in a bad football conference. That's why I think got him looks.

He's now in the power four for that reason. Maybe he'll, I mean, if, If he proves you wrong like Duke proved you wrong last week, maybe I'll jump on the train. Or maybe I should play him for that reason. Yeah, there you go. What is he going to be, one percent owned? Yeah, every time I talk crap about Walker Egan, he's probably going to have a DK flame this year.

So he's going to have a DK flame for every single game the rest of the year because I'm going to continue to talk crap about him every time he's on the slate. Oh, yeah. I mean, remember, we talked about Rutgers dog walking UMass in that first week, too. That's never going to live down either. All right, last game of the slate. Afternoon's in. Looking at that profile picture, you're probably pretty happy today, I would imagine. So, God, Buffalo looks really good.

Not to talk NFL, but they look like the best team in the nation, right, in the nation, in the league. Anyway, Mississippi State at South Carolina. Mississippi State, based on what I saw last week, now the favorite to win the college football playoff. Four-point dogs on the road to South Carolina, though. The books don't agree with me. Kamario Taylor has been elite.

You know, it's really hard to say what South Carolina's defense is going to look like because they've played Kent State and Towson. But at $8,800, I'm still looking at Taylor. The thing I saw last week is he is a very, very quick decision maker. It's read one, read to run. Most of the time that first read is Anthony Evans. So there's your stacking. $8,800 and $6,500 is pretty good.

In terms of this slate for a top tier dual threat quarterback with maybe like Anthony Evans should be seventy five to $8,000. He should be up in that Duff range. Not quite to Jeremiah Smith, probably, but I think $7,500 still would have been a fair price for him. And he's $6,500 fluff off. Well, I'm calling Wilson kind of have a split of this backfield. Buffalo clearly is more involved and is going to get the majority. $7,700, though, is tough.

Especially with Taylor eating into it some. And like I said, Anthony Evans, usually the first look. Again, the slot guy for South Carolina, Quasheed Scott, has graded out really well in coverage, but they haven't played anybody. So I'm not concerned with that. Then you get a price discount for these other guys. Zion Reagans gives you some savings. He's been on the field just almost as much as Evans has. And he's got touchdowns in, I think, both games.

And then San Frisco McGee also had a touchdown last week. Marquise Johnson $3,700 and like McGee and Johnson are two guys that I could see being slate breakers because I think they're going to get a little bit overlooked, but they're still going to have their opportunity on the South Carolina side. Like I said, bad competition, but Lenora Sellers ran like you think Lenora Sellers should run. He didn't look broken. He didn't look hampered by anything.

He had a big fifty some yard run running touchdown against against Towson and he looked like the best player on the field by a mile. He looked like a professional amongst amateurs. But so at $8,100 still worth a look here, especially in this game, it's projected to be high scoring. Matt Fuller, here's your punt running back. He's stuffed the stat book, but he's also like that. There's a stat in there that's called fumbles. He's also included in that.

I can't remember if he lost it or if he just fumbled, but Jabri Coleman, Christian Clark, Jawan Howell, all going to work in, in all likelihood. Clark is listed as the number two, but my gut tells me it's Coleman, but it's a close like two A, two B situation. But Matt Fuller at $4,900, who's going to be the one by all accounts, is very, very intriguing.

And then in the wide receiver room, Nick Harbor and Mazeo Bennett are the target guys here and they're cheap. But they both have two drops already. And again, two drops throughout the entirety of the season. Not so bad. Two drops through two games against Kent State and Towson. It's starting to sound some alarms in my head. And Nick Harbor is one of those guys that just feels like he has not come close to his potential yet. And it's, I don't know if he'll get there.

You know, Sam West is a tight end. Oh, I'm on the wrong side. Sam West plays for Mississippi State. Look at your notes, Bill. Anyway, Donovan Murph on the South Carolina side is another min price guy who's kind of a dark horse. He's going to be on the field enough and he's got ninety two yards and two scores. So at min price, he had ninety two yards and two scores, maybe just in one game. Again, bad competition.

And then Nitro Tuggle, sweet name, also been on the field a lot, just hasn't amounted to much. And if DJ Black is healthy, guy from UCF, that could throw another wrench in. But really, I love the Mississippi State team. Quarterback wide receiver stack. And I like Lenora Sellers and Matt Fuller a lot, uh, uncertain on the wide receiver room for South Carolina, but not, not zero, not zero opportunity there. Yeah.

Um, I guess I'm going to switch over and kind of start at the Mississippi state side here. I, um, love Camario Taylor. I think he's like, he's just such a good fantasy quarterback. I don't think you can ever really price him up too much.

Um, not really interested in fluff at his price but if you want to do uh I don't I I don't think he's the worst cpp play in the world and then I like anthony evans I'm not super interested in any of these other guys like they have shown some spots but the volume like haven't there hasn't been like a number two receiver volume they just kind of catch a touchdown have a couple catches I just kind of prefer to stick with the two big guns here for mississippi state um South Carolina to me is a lot more intriguing.

But I think I'm going to have a pretty good position on him and Matt Fuller. I think there's some upside in his usage. He was really talked about like in spring balls. He was like the most valuable offensive player for South Carolina. Um, I think he is probably my favorite running back.

I think he'll probably be the highest owned running back under $5,000, but I don't think that's going to garner much ownership, like maybe double digits, slow double digits. Um, but I do like him. So, I mean, you obviously watched Minnesota, Mississippi state last week is, was Minnesota's run game just poor with Taylor banged up or does Mississippi state have an okay run defense? Because if they do have an okay run defense, I'm a little more intrigued in the Nick Harbor and Bennetts of the world.

I would chalk it up to the offensive line underperforming for the second or third year in a row. Darius being hurt obviously makes a difference. We were on technically our third string running back because A.J. Turner was hurt. I think they have an okay run defense, but they're probably going to get their doors blown off. I think it's Mississippi state that over the next five games has like Missouri, Texas, Alabama, a kind of a couple other, you know, top ranked sec teams.

So this is like their last chance, I think to really be very productive on the fantasy side. Yeah, I guess I still have quite a bit of interest in the receivers. I know Nick Harber's never really lived up to it, but we've definitely seen him be a one catch can get him with a usable fantasy score. As far as these other guys, I think I'm just going to force the stack with Sellers.

Probably my favorite little stack in this game is Taylor and then run it back with a Fuller in Harbor.

And it helped it helped him out a lot.

Well, then they they corrected the touchdown gave it to the right guy And then right before they paid out they corrected again gave it to the wrong guy and paid out So then they had to like they paid out everybody that got paid out and then they had to reimburse people for what it actually would have scored so

They did that and they must have made an error and they sent me like I'm not going to say the amount but they sent me a large amount that I was not supposed to get like I'm like north of $5,000 so that's I think drafting is doing fine I think they're doing whenever I see Brady Hunt I'm always going to remember that no more because oil but yeah that was just a fun little story to kind of wrap up wrap up this game whenever I see see his name yeah yeah it's like Those guys stick out in your mind.

When you say D-Gen, it's Bubba Watson because that was, I think, his first big victory when nobody was going to play Bubba Watson because of the NBA All-Star gamers, like Celebrity Game All-Star weekend, and ended up going out and winning him a bunch of money. So those guys stick with you is the point I'm trying to make. Before we get out of here, we do have a question about tonight. Betting, obviously not a betting show, but we We probably have thoughts.

Do you like the Miami minus twenty and a half or over fifty five and a half points? I guess. Do you do you think it comes down to if you think Wake's going to score points? Because I could see. I think it's like a thirty five, fourteen as possible or forty two, fourteen. So I personally I think I like the cover better, but it's also a tough. Wake's always tough, no matter how good your team is when you're playing at Wake Forest.

To be honest, I really don't bet spreads or totals much because I suck at it. I do it more for the entertainment value. I don't have a lean there. I guess what I can say is I did actually bet Houston Moneyline tonight. That is the one thing I do have tonight. Houston plus eight and a half is maybe my favorite bet of the weekend. I do like the odds of them to win outright as well.

Obviously, the likelihood is less than the plus eight and a half. But now I'm going to sit here and say that and they're going to get beat by ten. That's just how it works. I love betting. All right. So that's it for the slate. A lot of I mean, a lot of payups, not a bunch of value at wide receiver. We see that typically. So there's a lot of decisions to make. Hopefully we helped a little bit. And I'll briefly touch on.
