What Is the Triple-Double Bonus in NBA DFS?

Last updated October 20, 2026 by Ship It Nation

The triple-double bonus is extra fantasy scoring for recording at least 10 in three categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals or blocks. In DraftKings NBA Classic, it adds 3 points on top of the player's statistical scoring and double-double bonus.

Why It Matters

Triple-double potential adds value, but you should weigh the chance of reaching the threshold rather than assume the full bonus. A player averaging near 10 rebounds and 10 assists does not necessarily reach both in the same game. Compare total expected production with salary, and avoid adding another bonus adjustment if your projection already includes it.

Example

Say your guard has 24 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds in a DraftKings NBA Classic contest. He already qualifies for the 1.5-point double-double bonus. His next rebound earns its usual 1.25 fantasy points and triggers another 3 points for the triple-double, making that rebound worth 4.25 fantasy points and bringing his combined bonuses to 4.5.

Pro tip

Check how often a player reaches all three thresholds in the same game under a similar role. Separate averages for points, rebounds and assists can overstate the likelihood.

Common Questions

Do DraftKings double-double and triple-double bonuses stack?

Yes. In NBA Classic, a triple-double earns the 3-point triple-double bonus plus the 1.5-point double-double bonus, totaling 4.5 bonus points. You also receive the normal fantasy points for the underlying statistics, with each bonus awarded at most once per player.

Does FanDuel award a triple-double bonus?

No. FanDuel's standard NBA scoring does not award double-double or triple-double bonuses. The individual points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks still count under its scoring system, so you should compare complete site-specific projections rather than transfer a DraftKings bonus adjustment.

Which statistics count toward a triple-double bonus?

Points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks are the qualifying categories on DraftKings. You need at least 10 in three different categories during the same game. Turnovers and made three-pointers do not qualify as separate categories, although points from three-pointers count toward scoring.
