Shows / NBA/ Saturday, October 24, 2026
From the archive. This breakdown is for the Saturday, October 24 NBA slate. Salaries, weather and picks were for that day.
Ryan Davenport breaks down Saturday’s five-game main slate, with Cooper Flagg out and Kyrie Irving questionable opening Dallas value. Naji Marshall ($4,800) is the favorite cheap play, with more opportunities available if Irving sits. Day’Ron Sharpe and Jalen Smith supply affordable center options after productive outings, while Nic Claxton’s absence supports Smith. Philadelphia’s missing LeBron James also puts Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid in play despite the appealing cheaper centers.
Anthony Davis ($8,700) is the favorite expensive option, with a bounce-back expected in Chicago after poor shooting. Trae Young also appeals in that game’s 244.5 total. Dylan Harper gets the nod over De’Aaron Fox on price, while Victor Wembanyama needs at least the 60s to justify his cost. Kevin Durant ($7,500) benefits from Atlanta’s pace, with Dyson Daniels the other preferred piece from that matchup after two strong fantasy performances.

| ONE-OFF | Rounds out the three Milwaukee players worth using. | 2:42 | |
| ONE-OFF | Liked after strong performances in both games, including a 30-plus-point comeback against Cleveland. | 3:09 | |
| FADE | Not playing him tonight. | 3:09 | |
| VALUE | At $5,500 after playing 30 minutes, looks like a strong cheap center and is expected to be the highest-owned center. | 4:04 | |
| ONE-OFF | Leads the Cleveland options at $7,200 because the ball should be in his hands frequently. | 4:26 | |
| ONE-OFF | A good play at $8,300 alongside the other preferred Cleveland options. | 4:26 | |
| VALUE | At $5,000, is in play if he gets another 30 minutes despite shooting poorly in his first game. | 4:52 | |

ShipItNation.com giving away over $50,000 if you're part of the annual package of the all sports or the NFL only package of So check us out over there as well. But, hey, let's get right into it. I talked about it earlier. Five games on tonight's MAIN SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. And we're not going to go game by game per se, but we'll talk a little bit about each game. Biggest news tonight. Biggest news tonight is there's no King. The King, James, is out tonight. So no LeBron for Philly. He's taking the night off. The other big name out there, Fred Van Vliet, is taking the night off. The new bull, Nick Claxton, has yet to play this year, is out.
And then the biggest news of the night, and it's going to open up a lot of value. We're going to talk about it. It's the number one overall draft pick from two years ago. Cooper Flagg took a hard fall last night, was out there hooping. My guy Belman was all over Cooper Flagg and GPP (Guaranteed Prize Pool)A GPP is a tournament whose prize pool is guaranteed to pay out in full even if the contest does not fill. Payouts are steep: a small group at the top wins most of the money. Before you enter a tournament lineup, ask how it finishes first, not just how it cashes. If you cannot name that scenario, rebuild it.Read the full definition of GPP. Still ended up with thirty five some odd some odd DraftKings points over there. Cooper Flagg is out tonight. And when we get into the value tier, We'll certainly talk about that as well.
But first game up is the winless Bucs. You see their twelve and a half point dogs taking on the seventy Sixers team. And let's start with the Bucs. Some of the guys I'm singling out of there would be Tyler Hero. I really like him tonight. He's shooting guard eligible. Hami Hakez Jr. Looks good. And then Tyler Kuzma will kind of be it for me if I'm looking at the Bucs. So give me some Hero Hakez and some Kuzma. I like those three guys tonight.
Then on the flip side, I mean, Tyrese Maxey, goodness gracious alive, both games. Saw that Knicks game on, I think that was Tuesday. He was hoping that he spearheaded that comeback the other night with thirty plus points against the Cavs. Give me some Maxey. No Jalen Brown for me tonight. Joel Embiid, even though there is some pretty good, pretty good cheap centers we'll talk about, I think at $8,000 and no king. I think Joel Embiid looks nice as well. That's kind of that for that game.
Let's get into this Nets-Cavs game, another game that I do have some interest in. MPJ, $7,000. I like that. Julius Randle at only $7,100 bucks. We've seen what he's done so far this year. He doesn't really have to do a whole lot of scoring. He's going to get rebounds. He's going to get assists. He's going to play some of that point forward role. Hopefully they can keep this game competitive.
And if they do, I like the MPJ and I really like Julius Randle. Then De'Ron Sharp. I talked about cheap centers. Dayron Sharper at only $5,500 bucks. He's going to be probably the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. I believe they've only played one game, but he did play thirty minutes. He's only $5,500 bucks going up against his Cavs team.
That would kind of be it for me as it relates to the Nets. And on the on the Cavs side, it's the usual suspects. It's James Harden leading the way for me. $7,200 going to have the ball in his hands. A lot tonight, so give me some Harden. Spida at eighty-three is a good play. Peyton Watson. Peyton Watson. Let me look up something real quick on old Peyton. The former Nugget great.
He played thirty minutes the first night, or his only... Against the Seventy Sixers. Didn't do a whole lot with it. Shot two of seven. But at only $5,000 bucks, if he's going to play thirty minutes, I think he's squarely in play tonight as well. So Harden, Mitchell, Watson for some value there. And they're not really getting any of these other cats over here for the Cavs. Moving on to the next game, the Wizards.
I feel like the Wizards have played every night. Look at this total. Two hundred and forty four and a half. So, you know, they're going to be getting up and down in this one. Trey Young, love Trey Young. He can dish it left. He can dish it right. He can throw it up in the air. Trey Young's in a great spot. $7,900 on DraftKings. Great price point there. Anthony Davis, the man made a glass. $8,700 bucks.
But he's shooting it. He was terrible last night, but he shot it one hundred and fifty times. It felt like an only $8,700. He's still in a good spot. Three or twelve shot at twenty times the first game. Uh, twenty-four DraftKings points was not what we want to see, but, you know, that song, I'm coming home, coming home, tell the world, A.D.' 's coming home, he's going home to Chicago, boys and girls, so give me some A.D.
Tonight, $8,700, born and bred in Chicago, so, uh, I like A.D. Tonight, Trey Young tonight for the, uh, For them, trying to see if there's any value on this team I could get to. No, can't get to it there. Then on the Bulls side, Jalen Smith. Jalen Smith has been hooping in their first two games. I like Jalen Smith at $5,200 bucks. Like I said, Nick Claxton is out.
Man, he only played twenty four minutes last night. All he did was mess around and put up a double double. Fourteen, thirteen, one assist, three steals, thirty nine point eight, almost forty DraftKings points for Mr. Smith. So, yeah, give me some Jalen Smith, another value center. That I like at $5,200 bucks. Yeah, not getting to the end of these other cats. Noah Asenjigu, whoever that is. Never heard of her. Not playing him. Moving on to the next game. Spurs going to beat down the Mavericks.
They're mad. They're angry. They're hungry. Oh, and to the Thompson. What was it? Is that I'm in Thompson. Say amen at the corner. I'm in Thompson to swat and wimpy stuff out of there. That was awesome. But Dylan Harper. $6,600 too cheap. He's a hooper. De'Aaron Fox. Don't love De'Aaron. He is only $6,500 bucks, though. But if I had to pick, I'm going with the kid. Give me Dylan over De'Aaron all day on that. And then Wimby.
I mean, Wimby's Wimby. Right. He had a bad game. Let's see. Should I say bad game? Before I get quoted on saying Wimby had a bad game last night, he had a good game. But for Wimby standards and for the price tag you're paying him, I'm going to call it a bad fantasy game, even though he did put up almost fifty DraftKings points. We need Wimby to get to the sixties to really pay off his tag. Probably even higher than that.
But yeah, give me some Wimby. No Cooper flag, as I alluded to earlier. Not that Cooper is going to be guarding a per se, but give me some Wimby tonight. Give me some Dylan Harper, Fox and nobody really else. Then on the flip side, on the on that on that math side, it's picked your poison. It looks like it doesn't look like it. Is Kyrie going to sit tonight? I would highly doubt he plays on the second night of a back-to-back.
He does have a cue tag right now. I would more lean, since they put him on a Injury NewsInjury news is information about a player's health that can change whether they compete, how much they play or how effectively they perform. In DFS, it also affects opportunities for teammates and opponents. Before an uncertain player's game locks, identify an alternative you can afford at each affected position. Check whether making that change would require another player whose game starts earlier.Read the full definition of Injury News last night, I would more lean that he's going to sit out, and that's going to open up literally not everybody, but Risha Shea, for sure, $4,600 bucks. Maximus Christie, $4,500 bucks. Najee Marshall at $4,800 bucks. He's probably my favorite. Najee Probably my favorite play on the SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest. P.J. Washington, former Kentucky great. What did Najee do last night? I know he was hooping pretty good last night. He came in, started the second half. He only had thirty-four points in thirty-three minutes. Not as good as I thought it was. But, yeah, give me some Najee Marshall. Only at $4,800. Tons of value on the Mavs. And people are going to play that. Hopefully they can keep it close. Hopefully they can keep it close there.

Do not assume two sites offer identical slates just because both call them the main slate.Read the full definition of Slate that we're going to talk about is this Houston Rockets blasting off into the season, taking on this Hawks team. They're hooping this year as well. I mentioned it earlier, no Fred Van Vliet for the Rockets. And then Reed Shepard, mustache and all, is questionable tonight, so pay attention to that. Steven Adams, I think, is out as well, but I would need to double-check that.
And then on the Hawks side, I think they should have a full complement of dudes that matter. No Garrison Matthews tonight. The former, the Garrison Matthews bowl tonight. The Houston Rockets versus the ATLians, the Atlanta Hawks. Oh, man, my boy Garrison over in Italy this year. So we'll get to see him on the MAIN slates. But in any event, the Durantula, Kevin Durant is a great play tonight. $7,500 bucks. Love that.
Don't love any more of these Rockets per se, but I do love KD at $7,500. This game should be up and down. We know the pace that the Hawks play at. So, yeah, give me some KD. And then Dyson Daniels balling last night. I think he was $5,900 bucks last night. And all he did was go out and put up. How many did he put up? I know he put up a boatload.
Dyson Daniels was $5,900 bucks, put up forty four last night, thirty eight and a half in their first game. So, yeah, Dyson's off to a great start. Um, I love Dyson Daniels tonight. Again, NWA was hooping. Don't really love him though. Don't really love a lot of, don't really love a lot from this game. Um, yeah, Dyson and KD would be it, but just kind of a quick recap. Najee Marshall, probably my favorite, favorite cheap guy.
If you will, forty hundred bucks, you'll get a lot of run. A favorite big dog. Oh, it's the dude coming home. $8,700. I don't sing songs and I don't pick you as my, I think AD gets back on the, back on track tonight. And I think he just, Caleb Wilson, welcome to the NBA, kid. You're going up against AD. So give me some AD tonight. But yeah, should be an excellent game or should be an excellent SlateA slate in DFS is the set of games, races, fights or tournament rounds covered by a contest.
