The Short Version

Austin Hanson and Scott Gyiraszin put Yoshinobu Yamamoto ($10,500) first on the six-game DraftKings slate, with Cam Schlittler attracting substantial ownership against the Angels. Jacob Misiorowski ($12,000) is the expensive tournament pivot despite dangerous hitting weather at Wrigley. Reid Detmers supplies the popular discount, while Noah Cameron offers leverage against chalk Miami. Dean Kremer is a distant large-field option, and Dylan Cease is the preferred FanDuel pitcher.

The White Sox stack draws strong agreement, with Houston also a priority against struggling Davis Martin. Minnesota appeals against Detroit's depleted pitching staff. The hosts disagree on Kansas City and Milwaukee: command issues and hitting conditions support stacking, while opposing ground-ball tendencies create reservations. The Dodgers rate highly but invite an ownership-based underweight approach. Paul Goldschmidt offers one-off leverage against Detmers. Munetaka Murakami and Joey Ortiz receive home run calls.

Plays Mentioned

PlayCallThe TakeAt
SP Preferred pitcher on FanDuel because of his exceptional recent strikeout run; unavailable on the DraftKings main slate. 2:48
A hot left-handed bat who could exploit Misiorowski's recent issues, but neither host commits to attacking that matchup. 6:11
One of the lefties to consider if attacking Misiorowski, though the preferred approach is to avoid the Cubs offense. 6:38
SP A strong $11,000 option against the strikeout-heavy Angels, though recent walk issues and heavy ownership support some underweight exposure. 7:13
FADE Not using him against Kansas City. 8:43
SP The agreed top DraftKings pitcher at $10,500, with strong recent form and a less threatening opposing lineup. 10:24
SP A $12,000 tournament pivot with elite strikeout upside and lower ownership, despite wind blowing out at Wrigley. 12:05
SP At $7,800, the strongest cheap option on paper against a Yankees lineup with strikeouts, but expected to be popular. 13:19
SP An appealing tournament pivot from Detmers at a fraction of the ownership, especially with Miami expected to be heavily stacked. 14:07
FADE Not using him while he struggles and reportedly deals with blister issues. 17:08
FADE Outside the tight pitching pool, with poor recent control and an expected short outing against Minnesota. 17:08
FADE Not interested in pitching him against the White Sox despite acknowledging he could be considered. 17:08
SP A distant $6,400 large-field option against struggling Detroit that creates different roster constructions, with concerns about his vulnerability to lefties. 18:01
Tigers LEVERAGE A possible pivot from popular stacks through the lefties against Kremer, although the hosts differ and Minnesota is preferred. 20:04
Twins TOP STACK A top-three stack in one ranking against Drew Anderson and Detroit's depleted bullpen, with the entire lineup usable. 21:09
ONE-OFF One of the two Detroit hitters retained as individual options when preferring Minnesota over a Tigers stack. 22:03
ONE-OFF An appealing Detroit lefty near the top of the lineup against Kremer, even without committing to the stack. 22:03
Marlins FADE Fading the popular stack against a respected Cameron, with pinch-hit risk adding concern despite excellent hitting weather. 22:56
The preferred Miami hitter if taking a piece, but the final approach is to fade the stack. 23:22
ONE-OFF An excellent individual play even from the side of the discussion that rejects a full Royals stack. 25:20
Royals IN PLAY The hosts split sharply between stacking Perez's command problems and avoiding his ground-ball profile, with individual bats drawing more agreement. 25:39
Brewers TOP STACK A priority stack in hot, windy Wrigley conditions, especially the lower order, though the hosts disagree because Peterson limits fly balls. 26:56
White Sox TOP STACK A favorite low-owned stack with power against Wesneski, while Benintendi and Peters carry pinch-hit risk. 32:32
Astros TOP STACK One of the main tournament stacks against Martin's poor recent form, ranked ahead of Miami and expected to attract less ownership. 32:57
Yankees FADE Passing on the full stack against Detmers because of the matchup and pinch-hit risks, while Goldschmidt remains an individual option. 33:48
LEVERAGE A one-off against popular Detmers if he starts, with Cameron suggested as a pitching pivot in the same construction. 35:23
Angels FADE The potential leverage against Schlittler is acknowledged, but the lineup lacks appealing lefties to attack him. 35:23
Dodgers TOP STACK A favorite against a weak Cardinals bullpen, but the hosts differ on exposure because the stack is expected to be popular. 37:34
The possible Cardinals piece if avoiding Yamamoto, without a clear commitment to use him. 37:34
HR CALL Called to homer for the White Sox. 39:27
HR CALL Called to homer again as a low-owned lower-order Brewers bat who has hit left-handed pitching well. 40:03

Let's go. Clear for lift off. What is going on Ship It Nation YouTube station back Wednesday full slate of games you got six early games that are ongoing right now which does include the course field so no course field here to talk about but we do still have Wrigley in our lives here g rising we got coffin stadium with some good weather should be a fun slate to break down here bring you in man happy Wednesday what's going on brother Yeah, happy Wednesday.

1:05

Hot happy Wednesday here in Michigan. I think it's hotter today than it was yesterday. I mean, it's just like scorching ass hot. So, hey, I guess one last time before the season wraps up here, we'll take it. But we know the winter man's coming here soon. But, yeah, either way, excited to break this one down. Kind of laughing, Nades. My silly friends, I'm having my fantasy draft for my season-long league I've had on Labor Day.

1:30

And the donkey commissioner text everybody and said, let Scott know how you want your steak for the draft. I'm like, motherfuckers, we ain't having no steak over here at the draft. You'll be lucky to get some hot and ready pizzas over here. Like, what are y'all thinking? But I'm just laughing because now all these fools are texting me medium, medium rare. So, good times. Always fun to fuck around with your friends. But, hey, we got, what, six games? I was looking like nine on FanDuel.

1:55

And then we got, they like that seven-forty start, I guess, over there on DK. But six games over there. We got your Superman on the hill today, too, up there at twelve K, which would be interesting. Couple decent pitchers on the hill today. But, yeah, how about yesterday? Damn, them Tigers suck, man. Fucking Twins. I thought they were going to have another position player going out there for the Tigers again. To pitch.

2:19

But dude, Cody Clemens got twenty four bombs already this year. Like, where did this guy come from? I know he was on the Tigers. They let him go for basically nothing. So another boo boo there. But yeah. Hey, we got six games looking forward to breaking it down. Looks like we got a few pitchers that might be getting some OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ between Cam Schlittler, Yamamoto and Mr. Detmers. So Mizman isn't really in that conversation. So I kind of like that.

2:48

Like Bob says here too, FanDuel pitching's loaded. Yeah, if Cease was on the slate over on DK, he'd be my favorite pitcher, but not so the case. He is my favorite pitcher over on FanDuel. I mean, his ring of strikeouts is unreal, man. His run of strikeouts Cease has had, he's just been looking unbelievable. So definitely like him over there on FanDuel, but We're going to talk to us about some DK here. We got six games. But Nades, yeah, kind of a nice one.

3:14

Only got six to talk about here today. Usually seems Wednesday's a little longer. But, I mean, hey, I kind of like the six-game slate. It's not too bad. And there isn't anything overwhelmingly glaring that we see most of the time. So, yeah, let's see what we can get. Yeah, should be a fun slate for sure. We got Wardo in here. Juice wins a lot. Bobo, so post-donor. Juice, again, hit that like button. Hit the subscribe button. It helps us out a ton.

3:42

And you alluded to it, right? Broad slate overview. It's Schlittler, Yamamoto, as much of those two guys as you can afford and fit in together. And if you can't... Dennis has dropped down to Reid Detmers. And then the fourth guy is going to be Jacob Mizerelski. Pretty big drop-off behind Schlittler and Yamamoto, at least in terms of ownership, due to that extra thousand dollars and fifteen hundred dollars. Schlittler has basically the same props in Vegas. Doesn't have the wind blowing out.

4:12

In Wrigley and gets the Angeles for a thousand dollars cheaper. So that's hence why the ownership and the projection is off the chart for a guy like Cam Schlittler. But we know it's Misiorowski. We know it's a big game. Brewers can take a nine game lead in the division here. The issue is, is when don't affect it. If you don't make contact with the baseball, that's been a struggle all year for opposing hitters against Jacob Misiorowski there. So that takes us right into pitching here.

4:38

G rise. And let's just do, let's go the $8,000 and above. And then we'll talk about Reid Detmers and Noel Cameron and any of these other donkeys down below $8,000 after, but let's go ahead and pull our screen share here up on the screen. As you see, I have it up there. Misiorowski up at the top at twelve K flat for him. Schlittler at eleven K Yamamoto at $10,500 and then it drops down to Yuri Perez at $8,500.

5:06

How do you see this top tier and what are you going to do amongst the top three Schlittler, Yamamoto, Misiorowski? How are you kind of slicing those guys up? Yeah, I mean, we got a game out there in Wrigley with the Miz man. I mean, he's definitely, as you said, he's the PivotA pivot in DFS is an alternative player or lineup combination you choose instead of another option. Tournament pivots usually seek comparable scoring upside at lower ownership, meaning fewer competing lineups use them. Before swapping, check what the replacement changes around it: your remaining salary, teammates, opposing players and available later-starting options.Full explanation ↗ off those top two with Schlittler and Yamamoto.

5:27

But, I mean, just to throw up a couple flags here on Misiorowski, I mean, his strikeout percentage has been down a little bit the last thirty days from where he's been at this season. I mean, he's got a ridiculous forty-four percent K percentage to the left side, thirty-one and a half to the right side. Last thirty days haven't been all that great. He's actually down about nine percent to both sides of the plate as far as strikeouts go. Thirty percent to the left side.

5:51

Twenty eight to the to the right side. He's been walking a little bit more guys here in recent times, too, with his nine and a half percent walk rate in his last month. But I mean, it's still the Miz. I mean, he can definitely get the job done. The other thing that was kind of glaring in his last thirty days, he's been getting barreled up by lefties at Ten and a half percent.

6:11

His fly ball percentage is up to thirty seven percent ground ball down to twenty six to where he's at a fifty five percent ground ball rate to the right side. So we already know PCA is seeing beach balls like that dude is definitely locked in. So, I mean, some of the lefties here could get the Miz, but I mean, not being a ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ guy, I, you know, I don't think I really. Want to use any of these Cubbies bats against the Miz.

6:38

But if you were going to, I mean, the lefties, PCA, Bush, would be the guys I'd be looking at. I mean, moving down, though, I mean, Schlittler with that pretty nice hefty K prop is against that Angel lineup, which we know, we talked about all year, we want to use Good strikeout, heavy strikeout arms, especially righties against these Angeles.

6:58

I mean, Nettos at thirty two and a half percent strikeout rate against righties, Trout twenty six, the bottom half of that lineup, thirty eight, twenty seven, thirty percent. So, I mean, there's only two bats that are under twenty percent. So.

7:13

Uh Schlittler's definitely uh got a a hefty k prop sitting up there at seven and a half I mean his strikeout percentage has been up a little bit the last thirty days something we definitely like to see uh barrels have been there a little bit against lefties but I'm not really too afraid of this uh this angel lineup uh Schlittler's been a little bit bad with his control in his last thirty days too which I do think is a little bit concerning he's at a fourteen percent walk rate double to where he's been in the season uh twelve and a half almost thirteen percent walk rate to the left side sixteen percent walk rate to the right side so

7:48

Um I mean you look at some of this angel lineup you got trout he's about the most patient hitter they got at fourteen percent walk rate meckler so I mean if I'm comparing just kind of looking like between like Schlittler and yamamoto we're going to talk about now I think I'd have yamamoto a little bit ahead of Schlittler even though he's got a little better k prop and that reason being just because of the walk issues that uh I just mentioned there with uh with Schlittler yamamoto's look really good in his last few starts uh k percentage up

8:19

To forty percent to the left side in the last uh thirty days his walk percentage is a little bit concerning too at ten and a half percent to the left side but I mean, he's just been good. Ground ball percentage has looked good. His fly balls haven't been up high. He's only got an eleven percent fly ball rate the last thirty days of lefty. So, I mean, other than Alec Burleson, who's got a four ten Woba against righties, the rest of the rest of the St.

8:43

Louis hitters do not look too promising. So I'd put Yamamoto ahead of Schlittler. And then just moving on down, I mean, like you mentioned, with some of these other chalky, you know, chalky guys, Perez against Kansas City. I just can't go there. Detmers sitting there at $7,800 against the Yankees. I mean, I can see why. I mean, he's got a decent price here. $7,800. He's not look too bad here in his recent start series. Had the last start.

9:12

Didn't look good. Obviously had $2,000's. We did have eleven strikeouts a couple of starts ago. So, I think Detmers is definitely in play. We know the Yankees got some strikeouts in that lineup. So, I mean, we're looking at, uh, twenty-eight percent for Ben Rice in the bottom part of that lineup. Calabarro, Chisholm, uh, Ali Sanchez, he's in there. They all have, uh, fairly high strikeout rates.

9:31

So, Detmers at that price, $7,800, he's definitely going to be in play in one of the chalkier ones. I mean, you mentioned Noah Cameron, too. I think he's in play, but, uh, up at top nades, I think I'm going Yamamoto, Schlittler, and then I'm going to go Miz, and then I'll go Detmers. On FanDuel, Dylan Cease for me is my favorite pitcher. But, yeah, I mean, I think Miz is a pretty good pivot here off of those two.

9:59

I mean, you've got to Spending UpSpending up means choosing a higher-priced player over a cheaper alternative, using more of your lineup's salary budget at that spot. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ a little bit, obviously. Miz is a thousand more than Schlittler, fifteen hundred more than Yamamoto. But I think Miz, I mean, obviously with that strikeout rate that he has, throughout the season is definitely in play. Struggled a little bit, but like I mentioned, but I mean, we got six games, not like we got a plethora to pick from, but Schlittler, Yamamoto and Detmers, I think are going to garner most of the OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗. And I think Miz is a great pivot.

10:24

And then Cameron would be my bottom lower level pivot off of Detmers. Yeah, I like that. So I'll break it down. I do have Yamamoto number one as well, so I'm with you there. Ownership, you're going to get a little discount on him in terms of ownership compared to Schlittler too. So I do like that. I think Miz is a really good tournament option on this slate.

10:45

He hasn't had less than eight strikeouts against the Cubs in either of his two starts against them. He's got the win in both of them as well. Six innings. I don't expect him to let him go much more than six unless he's super efficient. This game is meaningful, but it's not super meaningful.

11:00

Brewers still have an eight-game lead on the division, and Miz is much more important to this team for the playoffs than throwing him out there for a hundred-plus pitches in a September second baseball game against the Cubs, right, with a commanding lead in the division. However, I say all that to say that you're going to get Miz at half the ownership of Schlittler and Yamamoto. And it's only a thousand dollars more. Right.

11:22

I know a thousand dollars, but that's the difference from going to maybe a guy hitting fifth in the lineup to playing a guy that's hitting eighth. And realistically, they have kind of a similar situation. Ceiling and upside, and you're getting that with a guy, Misiorowski, who is the clear-cut Cy Young in the National League this year, and he's going to be LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ compared to the other two guys. He still has the highest ceiling in baseball, right?

11:47

He still has a seven and a half K prop. I get it. Schlittler has a seven and a half K prop, too. They're both juicy over there. I think ranking the three of them, I have Yamamoto a clear step ahead of both of them. And then it's probably Miz and then Schlittler for me. Hard to really get away from those three. I'm going to have exposure to all of them.

12:05

I do think taking a stand and kind of getting overweight on Miz here is interesting. I did watch that last start where people say he had a down game. He couldn't plant on his lead foot. He was slipping on the mound. I think it was out in – what was his last one? It was in New York, I think, and they – he couldn't plant.

12:26

So, G_Rizen, if he can't plant on that lead leg and get over the top, that's where his velocity drops, and that's where his strikeouts dropped as well. He still found a way to go six innings with six strikeouts, got the win as well. So – I don't expect him to have mound issues here. Again, I expect the strikeouts to still be there. I mean, this dude is still has incredible strikeout stuff. He still had a thirty nine percent strikeout rate on the on the season.

12:54

Thirty percent over the last month. He's only going to see probably at most four lefties in here. And you look at his strikeouts to the right side. He mows down right as well. And all of these Cubs strikeout against right handed pitching outside of a couple of guys. So I think the upside is there. The ownership's low. It's a short slate. I think finding the extra thousand dollars off of Schlittler is pretty interesting overall.

13:19

And just drop and go in Misiorowski and Yamamoto gives you five hundred dollars anyways. Right. So I do like that. The cheaper guys, I think Reid Detmers is the best play on paper. He's going to be owned as such as well. You're probably going to see him and Schlittler as the Cash GameA cash game is a contest that pays a large share of the field, usually close to half, the same flat prize. Fifty-fifties, double-ups and head-to-heads are the common cash games.Treat cash games as the steady base of your bankroll. Use one safe core across your cash entries on a slate, and save riskier ideas for tournaments.Full explanation ↗ pairing. It might be Yamamoto and Schlittler, depending on what the lineups look like for the bats perspective. Detmers looks like a pretty solid play. Yankees is a high-powered offense.

13:43

There is strikeouts in there as well. Personally, for me, I do have Noah Cameron. Ahead of Detmers. I know the weather is really good in Kauffman. I know the wind's blowing out and I know it's a hundred degrees, but I mean, Cameron going to be a fraction of the ownership, one fourth, maybe even, maybe even lower owned. In that you're probably looking at like, ten percent to fifty percent, somewhere in that regard as the delta there between those two.

14:07

I think Cameron a really interesting play in tournaments here. Miami's also going to be the highest on stack on the slate again. So I think he's really interesting overall. And then the only other guy I think you could throw in the pool is Dean Kremer. Tigers have been atrocious. It was the same reason I was on pre-lip yesterday. Obviously, pre-lip's a different pitcher and throws different than what Dean Kremer does. But at $6,400 on a short slate.

14:32

With upside uh get you on a completely different Roster ConstructionRoster construction is how you organize a DFS lineup within its salary cap and roster rules. It includes where you spend or save, which positions you prioritize, and how your players fit together.Build two versions around your biggest spending decision, then compare every player who changes. Revisit the comparison when injury news changes the available value.Full explanation ↗ maybe you go Dean Kremer and miserowski instead of Schlittler and Reid Detmers something like that um it is pretty interesting um that's what $18,800 between those two and you look at ms and Dean Kremer it's $18,400 right so you save four hundred dollars All you need is Miz to out beat Schlittler. He could easily do that.

14:55

And Dean Kremer to go out there and match or get close enough to Detmers that you just totally moon or totally leap the field or left the field. So I do think that little two V two Miz Kremer compared to Schlittler Detmers, it's not going to project as well, but again, Six-game slate, shorter slate, any given night. We see chalk pitchers fail all the time. Why can't it be Misiorowski, the best pitcher in baseball, and Dean Kremer against the scuffling Tigers team?

15:23

How do you see the lower tier, though? Yeah, I mean, I'm kind of with you. I mean, Dean Kremer, just because the Tigers have been so bad, but that part of me wants to even stack against Kremer. That guy's no good, man. He stinks. But, I mean, we do have six games here on the slate. You know, so you could leave Kremer in there. He's just been getting beat up a little bit here recent times by lefties. His ground ball percentage is low.

15:46

His fly ball percent rate is pretty high. You know, we got McGonigal, Keith, Greene, McKinstry, Clark. I mean, we got some decent lefties, especially McGonigal. I do like him up there at the top of that lineup. But, as you mentioned, Tigers can't hit out of a damn paper bag here in recent times.

16:03

So uh yeah that's uh definitely been an issue but I mean down below it just definitely gets uh it gets definitely pretty thin real quick uh and kind of back up a little bit more on ms what we are talking about I did notice like Basically in July, Nades, he was like in the mid-eighties. He had a couple of eighty-three pitch starts. He had a sixty-five pitch start. He had like an eighty-two pitch start.

16:24

But here coming into August, I mean, he's been in that mid-ninety range. So that's good. It's been bumped up here his last four starts. So I think that's promising, too, because there was a stretch there with Miz. That I just remember in my mind, like, dude, what's this pitch count been looking like here recent times? Because I do remember it was down a little bit. Obviously, so they're trying to save their horse for the finish line here.

16:46

But, yeah, I think Miz is in a pretty good spot here today. I mean, I don't like fucking with the Cubs. You know, Cubs are kind of in that bucket like the White Sox here in recent times for me. But there's just certain pitchers that, I mean, they're generally matchup proof, especially if they're on that day. Miz is definitely one of them guys. But, yeah, I think pitching would be a pretty tight pool for me today, Nades.

17:08

I'd just get a little different with the bats. You know, like I said, Yamamoto, Schlittler, Detmers, Miz, Cameron would probably be about the only place I'd really look at. I can't go Martin. He's been hurt. I think he's got a – I heard he had a blister issue he's been dealing with here winding down the season. I can't play Anderson Wisniewski. Maybe you could, but, again, I ain't fooling with against the White Sox. Don't like doing that. So, Cameron, Detmers. Yep, they would be in play.

17:35

Yamamoto, Schlittler, Miz. I mean, we've got a thin pitching staff, but as I mentioned, Cease for me is my favorite all day as I put my action over on FanDuel, but Cease for me is my favorite pitcher. Yeah, no, I tend to agree. I think if you wanted to cut it off, those five guys, Miz, Schlittler, Yamamoto, Detmers, Cameron, with the focus around these four in Schlittler, Yamamoto, Detmers, and Cameron, I think you could definitely do and be underweight on Miz.

18:01

I'm taking a different approach. I'm going over on Miz and going to be under on Schlittler. So I'm flip-flopping those two. And then Dean Kremer would be the distant guy in larger fields, Let's jump over here and let me refresh the stone as we talk game by game. First game on the main slate here. Is going to be, let me scroll down, is going to be the Tigers and the Twins.

18:32

Twins continue to score a gazillion touchdowns against the Tigers pitching staff. Now they get a guy in Drew Anderson who's not going to go very long and get more of that bullpen, which has absolutely gotten shellacked over the last couple of days. Used three arms yesterday, one on Monday. And they're not a great bullpen either. I do think the Twins make a lot of sense here on the slate. We don't have a lineup yet, but Cody Clemens looks really good.

Bell, Larnock, you got Culpepper and Jenkins, two cheap young prospects there for the, or not young prospect Culpepper is. But Jenkins as well, they're both obviously prospects there. They're super cheap there. Keyshaw is more of a contact guy, but he'll get you stolen base or two. I think one through nine firmly in play. Jeffers being back does help. This dude's had two really good games since being back. A couple home runs to go with it as well.

19:17

I think the Twins are a pretty interesting sneaky stack on this slate overall. Don't have them on the top of my board by any means, but they're probably fourth-ish, somewhere in that ring. Third or fourth among some of these other teams. Talk to me here. How do you see this game, Tigers and the Twins? Yeah, I mean, Twins have been smashing the Tigers. Shitty, you can get Tyler Finnegan in the game. I'd be all over the Twins.

19:39

That dude's rolling up beach balls up to the plate. I mean, it's just absolutely terrible. But, I mean, Drew Anderson in his past, uh, thirty days has not looked good, especially with his control. He's been all over the damn place. So, uh, that is definitely an issue. The barrel percentage, uh, he's been getting hit pretty hard by lefties. So, you mentioned a guy like Cody Clemens, Varnock, uh, definitely in play. So, uh, Yeah, that Tiger bullpen has just been trash.

20:04

And we mentioned yesterday, Tigers can't hit their way out of a paper bag. I mean, I'd like to have a little more faith in them here against Dean Kremer. I think the Tigers are a pretty good sneaky PivotA pivot in DFS is an alternative player or lineup combination you choose instead of another option. I mean, the lefties especially is where I'd look at. Dylan Dingler, I wish he'd get his head out of his ass. He's got his head up, is Dingler. That's for sure.

20:24

He hasn't been hitting very well in the last recent times. But I do like the top of that lineup, especially McGonigal against Kremer. So I do prefer the Twins just because the Tigers seem like they mailed it in. Like they just – they're not with it. I mean, you see it quite a bit over time when you're watching baseball. They get to September. They're already ready. You know, what am I doing next year? What's going on in the offseason?

20:48

Like these guys just can't wait to wind it down and get it over with. I mean, they're pretty much in last damn place. So, yeah, I think the Twins for me, I mean, shit – I mean, you kind of called it yesterday. I didn't get another position player as possible. We could see that again today. So who knows? I mean, the Twins have been just absolutely smoking these Tigers. But I don't have the Twins.

21:09

Either one of them ranked up in my favorites. But I wouldn't discount the Twins. I'd put the Twins probably in my top three, I would say, here today. Yeah, I'm with you there. I do like the Twins quite a bit. Cody Clemens would be the headline there. I'm just trying to see what the Tigers have done. I mean, it kind of depends on how many innings Anderson can get. You're looking at five maximum. Typically, he's going right around three to four.

21:38

Somewhere in that regard in his last start against the Dodgers, they brought in Phillips or not Phillips, Sommers after him and then Horton. So yeah, it's going to be kind of like a makeshift bullpen game here. So I wouldn't get too caught off on the handedness there for the Twins. It's just more of a they're hot right now. It's pretty good weather again here tonight in Target Field. And the Tigers pitching staff is pretty beat up.

22:03

So I do think the Twins make a lot of sense here on tonight's slate. Tigers, it would just be Colt Keith and Magango for me. I think those two guys are good. Interesting. Riley Greene has a bunch of power, but I don't really want to pick his off, and I'm getting the Twins lower on than the Tigers. So I'd just rather play the Twins side of the game than the Tigers and just not mess with it. Overall, that's kind of how I see it.

22:26

Next spot, Royals, Marlins. Marlins, the ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. You may also hear it called paying up.Build a version with your preferred expensive player and another without. Before choosing, check whether either version relies on a cheap player whose expected role still depends on unresolved injury news.Full explanation ↗ pitching. Marlins, five stack, easily being able to be afforded here. It's a hundred and two degrees in Kansas City, pretty much going to be ninety five plus the entire duration of the game. Eight to fifteen mile an hour winds blown out towards left foul pole line. Dry run spit out ninety eight percent Miami Marlins stacks. They scored six runs yesterday, was nowhere near the winner.

22:56

You weren't mad if you had them. But again, I'm going to take an underweight approach. I like Noah Cameron quite a bit. You got some pinch hit risk with some of these Marlins here against the lefty Ramirez, Sanoa. Those two guys, Jimenez, probably a little pinch hit risk as well. Ruiz, their catcher as well has some pinch hit risk there. I know the Royals bullpen is atrocious. I'm going to fade the Marlins here tonight.

23:22

That's just the approach I'm going to take. I think Adel Lopez is a pretty interesting play. I think he'd be my favorite guy if going in there. But I do like the Royals side here. I much prefer the Royals-Bats. They're going to get owned as well, but nothing near what the Marlins side is. And Carter Jensen looks good, Caglianone, Vinny P. The issue with Yuri Perez is, yeah, he has the strikeout stuff, but his command issues have started to come back.

23:46

And anytime you have that against the Royals here, who can be a patient offense, and you get into that Miami bullpen, which isn't very good, I mean, I love full stacking against a pitcher with command issues because it leads to big innings. That's what we're targeting for DFS. So I do think the Royals in tournaments here are super interesting overall, and I much prefer the Royals side to the Marlins. How do you see this one? Yeah, I mean the Marlins.

24:10

It's just hard for me to get too excited about the Marlins against Cameron. I mean, Cameron strikeout percentage has been down a little bit. It's just he hasn't been getting barreled up. He hasn't been getting hit really all that hard. His fly ball percentage has been up a little bit to the left side, but I mean, he's going to see a bunch of righties. Over there with the Marlins. But yeah, I'm not too overly excited about it.

24:32

I know Stowers hit a home run for me yesterday. I had him in on a couple teams. As far as the Royals go. Yeah, you mentioned Uri Perez's walk issues are definitely been a problem, especially the last thirty days. He's not looked very good at all. The problem I'm kind of having here is with this is it's the Royals. We know they don't have generally that much power and we got a ground ball pitcher on the hill, especially a lot.

24:54

I mean, he's forty eight percent the last thirty eight thirty days to the left side, forty percent to the right side. His fly ball percentages are fairly low. He's at twenty percent to the right side, twenty five to the left. I mean. I think I'd rather go look for better opportunities than the Royals against the guy who's got a ground ball lean. So, I mean, he's walking a lot of guys, so it's not something – I mean, that's the big knock on him.

25:20

It's not like he's getting hit very hard. So, I'm a little concerned about the Royals. I just don't – I mean, if it was like the Yankees, I think I'd feel a little bit better and want to attack Uri Perez, but – I'm not doing it with the Royals, but Bobby Witt is an excellent play. Maybe if you want to go to Caglianone. But other than that, I think Bobby Witt would be really the only one I'd go at.

25:39

I'd let everybody else play the Royals today. I'd be out. Yeah, we definitely different there. I do like the Royals quite a bit. Offense is pretty thin on the slate in general outside of the chalk Marlins and the Dodgers. So I'm looking for other teams that can compete there. Dodgers been fairly cold as of late as well and I don't like playing the fish into chalk against the picture that I have some confidence in in Noah Cameron there so.

26:02

I do think the Royals are pretty interesting plays overall. OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ should be held in check. Vinny P looks great. Cagley, Nolan, Massey, Jensen, Witt. Even Isbel has been hitting pretty decent as of late. So that's six guys right there I think you can play. And obviously you can play some of the other guys as well in their rave. And Isbel, like I said, at the back half. So I do think they're pretty interesting overall. Marlins bullpen pretty taxed.

26:26

They used four arms on Sunday, four on Monday, three yesterday. So they're pretty beat up too, which does help the case there. Takes us to Wrigley. I'm going to be super hot and humid here in Wrigley. Should play definitely above average wind blowing out here again. Nothing crazy like it has, but any little wind is big time effect here. Going to be a good home run park for sure here. Ninety degrees, wind blowing out at around ten miles an hour, gusts higher than that.

26:56

Got to love some Brewers here tonight. I think they're one of the best plays on the slate. They are expensive, so it's going to hold their OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ in check a little bit. But Cooper Pratt's been hitting well at the back half. Don't sleep on Joey Ortiz. That dude murders left-handed pitching. Andrew Vaughn, Gary Sanchez. So I actually like the back half of the Brewers lineup. Vaughn, Sanchez, Ortiz, Lara, Pratt. Chourio are kind of my main favorite guys from the Brewers.

27:21

Bowers, if he's in there, Contreras, Turang, they're all great plays here. They're going to be owned on this slate, but pretty much everyone's going to be owned because it is only a six-game slate. Locked in for nine here against Davis Peterson, who's terrible. Talk to me here, Brewers, Cubs, any interest in Wrigley, best hitting environment? I actually might be the – I think it's the best overall, but it's close between this and Kauffman, but really good place to hit nonetheless.

27:45

Yeah, I mean, for me, I mean, the Brewers, I want to pick on Peterson. He's just got too big of a ground ball lean for me. And you look at his game log, he really hasn't given up any more than three runs in his last, I don't know, like ten starts or so. He hasn't been getting hit hard at all.

28:00

So whenever I'm in a situation like this, even though as tempting as it is, I generally stay away from the Brewers in this situation. I guess I'd be all or nothing and just full five stack it and just hope that, you know, the weather kicks in and get into that bullpen. But I mean, the last thirty days to Peterson does have some walk issues to the right side. Is that a fourteen percent walk rate?

28:21

But I mean, fly ball percentages, seventeen percent to the left side, fourteen percent to the right side. He's just not allowing the ball to get up in the air. So that is definitely concerning. Now, you know, I don't think there's any teams tonight that, you know, I mean, other than the Twins, maybe they could put up a double digit score here tonight.

28:39

I mean, if you get a bunch of the six games and, you know, you got five or six runs, you know, and you want to look at it that way overall as a slate, maybe the Brew crew can put up a few more hits. You know, they obviously we know they steal some bags. But, uh, yeah, I mean, it's just tough for me to buy into the brew crew, especially when they got a pitcher that isn't giving up any kind of fly ball.

29:00

So that's a little bit concerning for me. I don't want to pick on Ms. On the other side of that, as I mentioned, if you were going to at the top of the show, I think PCA Bush, some of the lefties would we, uh, where I'd be looking at, but, uh, I'm just going to lay a little caution on the brew crew as I normally do when they have such a ground ball in.

29:19

And he's just not giving up enough fly balls for me. I mean, like I said, I think I just full stack it or I just leave it alone. Yeah, that's how I play the Brewers anyways, just because it's hard to kind of understand where the production is going to come from. But I like that the back half isn't going to get played. Joey Ortiz has been good. Lara Pratt. I like those guys, Vaughn Sanchez.

29:40

So I actually like five through nine quite a bit. Chourio looks like one of the better plays in the slate as well. So we do differ there. Cubs, I tend to agree there. You're going to get the Cubs on own. It's just I'd rather probably just not play Miz than stack up the Cubs. It is a short slate. Anything can happen. It's baseball at the end of the day.

29:57

I could see them get there, but it's Brewers or pass for me in that game for sure. Takes us to the next game. It was my favorite stack yesterday. They hit four or five balls to the warning track, which was very hurtful, and still had a pretty solid day. White Sox now get Hayden Wesneski, who's been better as of late. I still don't think he's a very good arm.

30:19

The Astros used two righties out of the pen yesterday in Amai and – their other guy who's thrown starts for them this year as well. In my end, what's his face? One second. Tang. So you're probably going to see those lefties be available here, which does add in some pinch hit risk for some of these White Sox. The main guys that get pinch hit for is Ben Attendee, number one, and then probably Tristan Peters as well.

30:49

But the rest of this lineup looks really good. I think those guys are even pretty interesting in this one. I think the White Sox are super sneaky on this slate. Nobody's going to play them. They've got a ton of power against any right-handed pitcher. Wesneski, I think, is pitching over his head as of late. I love some White Sox. And then on the other side, Davis Martin's been absolutely atrocious over the last month. He doesn't look like he's right.

31:13

This Astros team is also going to fly under the radar for the most part compared to the Brewers, Dodgers, Marlins. I think the Astros are interesting as well here in this one. I love offense in this game. Talk to me. How do you see this one? Yeah, Martin's been struggling quite a bit, especially his last thirty days. I've been kind of reading in some I remember here in the last week or two. He's been dealing with some blister issues that have been nagging him so.

31:40

That's definitely a play. I mean, his K percentages are down the last thirty days. You mentioned he's been getting barreled up by both sides of the plate. I mean, it's not been good here, especially the left side. He's got a one ninety two ISO, a three thirty five Woba against lefty. So, I mean, we know Superman Jordan is definitely in play. Varshow is in play. Christian Walker, I think that you definitely could get at. Davis Martin here today.

32:06

And as far as the White Sox go, I do like some lefties against Wisniewski. I mean, this guy, I mean, he's got an eleven percent barrel rate on the season. It's down a little bit the last thirty days. He's actually been getting whacked a little bit harder here by righties in recent time. So, I mean, we know that the White Sox are full of power. They're definitely a team that, you know, I like to play in situations to where they're not very ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. 32:32

And this would definitely qualify as one. You mentioned the lefties, Ben Attendee, Peters. I think those guys, as you mentioned, could be some pinch hit risk. But Murakami, I mean, I think they're all here in play. I think I'd have the White Sox up as one of my favorite stacks here today. That's for sure. I mean, they're up there. I'd put them, you know, like I got like the Twins, I think would be up there with the White Sox. We'll get to the Dodgers.

32:57

I think they're in play. But yeah, I think for sure. White Sox for me, especially them lefties. Yeah, I like both sides quite a bit. These are two of my favorite offenses. In tournaments, I have them both ahead of the Marlins. I have them kind of up there next to the Twins and the Brewers. So I'm kind of focusing around those four teams mainly. And then we're going to talk about the Dodgers here in a little bit. I think they're interesting as well.

33:20

I'm a little worried about their OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. Yankees got the job done last night against a chalk guy in Grayson Rodriguez. Much better pitcher on the mound here at Reid Detmers. Yankees always have upside. I like them much more against a right-handed pitcher than a left-handed pitcher. And a good one at that, you're going to see a bunch of pinch hit risk guys in here like Ahmed Rosario, Heliot Ramos, Caballero, Ali Sanchez.

33:48

If he makes the start, those guys are all big pinch hit risks here. And Reid Detmers is pretty solid. I guess the Yankees could do it. I just I'm not going to play him here tonight. And some of their guys are going to get OwnershipOwnership is the percentage of lineups in a contest that include a given player. Projected ownership is an estimate made before lock; actual ownership is posted once the contest locks.Ownership isn't something to avoid; it's something to build around. The goal is understanding how the field is likely to build, then finding your edge relative to that.Full explanation ↗ like I'm going to Rosario at $2,900 hitting at third base, which is a weak position. He's probably looking at two at bats, maybe three at most. Ramos, same thing.

34:09

He's going to get played a decent amount just because he's going to hit in the middle of that lineup for $3,700. Angels against Cam Schlittler would be kind of the, I mean, they're the LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups. When that play outscores the popular option most lineups chose instead, you gain ground on those lineups, though the rest of your roster still decides where you finish.Look for leverage on players connected to the chalk, like the other side of a popular game or a teammate who can steal the popular player's touches.Full explanation ↗ stack on the slate here. Schlittler, really good arm. I don't really want to stack up against him. So this game for offense wise, I'm kind of out on here. Won't be shocked. I mean, Angeles is the biggest leverage play on the slate.

34:33

Don't really think you need to go there, but six game slate, crazy shit happens. It's September baseball. How do you see this one? I mean, if you wanted to pick on Schlittler, you got to use some lefties. And I mean, the Angeles just don't even have any lefties worth really even discussing to go after a guy like Schlittler. But I mean, he's been walking guys like we mentioned, but I mean, he's been getting barreled up to the last thirty days at eleven percent by lefties.

34:58

So if you excuse me, if you wanted to go there. I think that is where I look now. As far as the Yankees go against Detmers, we know they're going to get a little bit of ownership. Detmers is going to get a little bit of ownership. I mean, I think Goldschmidt, the top of that lineup, is a really good play against Detmers. But as you mentioned, Rosario, Ramos, Calabro, those guys are definitely pinch hit risk.

35:23

But yeah, I think Goldschmidt a great play, especially as a One-OffIn MLB DFS, a one-off is a hitter you roster without other hitters from his team. You're playing Cameron, so you're over that. How do you eat into Detmers? You play Paul Goldschmidt.

36:08

Things like that make a ton of sense, so I'm with you there if he does crack the lineup. Last game of the slate, going to be a bullpen game mainly here for the Cardinals. They're going to bring out this Bryce character here, or Bryson. Does throw from the left side. You're probably going to get two or three innings out of him, and then it's going to be a bunch of righties typically coming out of that bullpen there. Dodgers look really good on paper.

36:29

It's going to be between them and the Marlins. You're going to see a lot of Dodgers and Marlins teams mixed together with Schlittler and Yamamoto because it fits. So you know what the ChalkChalk is the most popular, highly owned play on a slate. The term comes from sports betting, where the favorite is called the chalk.Don't label chalk good or bad. Ask whether each popular play deserves its ownership, then decide which chalk you'll eat and which you'll fade.Full explanation ↗ is going in. It's the Dodgers. It's the Marlins. Dodgers look really good on paper. Cardinals bullpen is not good. They're not equipped to face a really good offense like the Dodgers who are getting healthy as well. You should see one of the better Dodgers lineups we've seen in quite some time.

36:55

Will Smith being back helps a ton. I saw they also activated Rushing yesterday, too. So you might see both of those guys in there instead of guys like Miguel Rojas and Kiki Hernandez. With Mott's only probably going in an inning or two, maybe three at max. I don't know if Kiki's going to get the start. If he does, he probably might hit up. He might hit up towards the top of that lineup. I think he'd be a fine play, but he's a big pinch hit risk.

37:17

Same thing with Rojas. Talk to me here. Dodgers to round up the slate. Look like one of the top stacks on paper. I am a little worried. I do put the Brewers ahead of them. I do have some of these other teams ahead of them as well. I'm going to kind of take an underweight approach on the Marlins and the Dodgers here tonight and take my chances that way because I am eating the chalk pitching.

37:34

Overall yeah Dodgers definitely I mean that St. Louis bullpen sucks so I mean they're they're definitely gonna get beat up a little bit there so I do like the Dodgers they're they're my favorite stack you mentioned they're gonna be a little bit chalky so uh definitely like the Dodgers all the way up and down as far as anybody against yamamoto I mean if you didn't want to play him and maybe Burleson would be a guy that uh you could look at against him but uh for me Dodgers one of the best plays on the slate.

38:04

I mean, obviously that St. Louis bullpen is not very good. I mean, and two overall on the slate, I don't even think we have a team as a team total over five, the Dodgers are sitting there right under at four point nine. So it's not like, you know, the Dodgers are overwhelmingly favorite. So I wouldn't feel like too worried about, fading the Dodgers here today.

38:23

I kind of got a feeling these six games, you're not going to see a game that, you know, overwhelms any of them. I think you're going to see a bunch of, you know, five run, six run games possibly. So if that's the case, I don't mind.

38:35

Like I said before, on these slates and aids, when you got like five, six games, like not necessarily doing the traditional stacking, maybe three, three, two, or, you know, a four or, And then maybe throw in, you know, three or four different One-OffIn MLB DFS, a one-off is a hitter you roster without other hitters from his team. I think that's a way to potentially get a little bit different on these shorter slates. It's generally I'm a little more apt to do something like that. But, yeah, interesting slate of baseball.

38:59

We got some decent pitching up top. So we'll see how we fare today. But I feel pretty good where we're looking at. Yeah, I feel pretty good as well. Takes us to the end of the show here. Your top three pitchers, your top three stacks, and a homerun call if you have one, and then we'll get out of here. I'm going to say my pitchers are going to be definitely Yamamoto, Schlittler, Detmers, and then I got Miz up there, Stacks, Yankee.

39:27

I'm going to go Twins, Dodgers. And then I'm going to go White Sox. And then I'd probably go Brew Crew. I just don't like the Brew Crew. I'd throw the Astros in there too. Home run call. I am going to go to the White Sox. And I am going to go. I'm going to go to Murakami again. I think Murakami hits a bomb. All right, I like it. I'm going to go Yamamoto, number one. Miz, two. I'll go Cameron, three. For Stax, I will go...

40:03

I'll go White Sox, Astros, Brewers, Royals. Those four Twins would be the fifth team. For my home run call, I'm going to go to the Brewers. I'm going to go to a guy hitting at the back half. Hit one yesterday. I think he hits another one here today. Joey Ortiz, third base shortstop eligible. He's been one of the better hitters for the Brewers against left-handed pitching over the last month and a half or so.

40:28

I think he's a really interesting LeverageLeverage is the edge you gain by rostering a play the field is underweight on, compared with how often it ends up in winning lineups.
